Yesterday I trialled a new daily rhythm. One where we dropped nap time in favour of “quiet time” IT DID NOT WORK!! I became stressed, the little two just started running around and I think I had to use time out a million times. I’m not sure if trying to enforce quiet time is worse than having them not go to bed at night or not 🤷♀️ What I do know is the current and past daily rhythms are not working. Time for a re think to our days. Though I’m not ready to send them back to school just yet I am so looking forward to that normal once again!! #dailyrhythms #tonapornottonap #thatisthequestion #naptime #arenaptimesathingofthepast #timeoutformummywithacuppaplease #twoyearold #2yearoldsleepregression #sleepregression #twoyearsold #twoyearoldtwins #twintwos #mumoftwins https://www.instagram.com/p/CAr0HGmFdu8/?igshid=1l9xwd3s77hy3

What are your daily practices that help you maintain peace? ▫️ I’m pretty obsessed with #SoulHabits. I’m not the most diligent or disciplined. I have been at other stages of my life and I will be again. #SoulHabits are foundational to all other goals, dreams, strategies and #ToDos we wake up with every day. Without this bedrock the dream will crumble. Trust. ▫️ 3 simple practices: (c/o of #kenshigematsu) 1. MEDITATION: 10 mins. Focus on The Spirit and breathing. 2. GRATITUDE: name 5 things you are grateful for. Every Day. 3. SABBATH KEEPING: one day of rest a week. No work. No emails. No major tasks / to dos. For some ppl no phone, depending on how you use your device. #GAMECHANGERS ▫️ #TheSacredLife #SacredLife #SpiritualPractices #SoulHabits #Health #Wellness #Joy #SoThatYourJoyMayBeFull #MentalHealth #HealthisWealth #Foundation #Discipline #DailyRhythms #DailyPractices #Rhythms #SilkKayaThinks https://www.instagram.com/p/BxkAbVGg0g1/?igshid=1rb1ral94qyfe

Enjoying Movement Activities with my Nephew
In December 2022, my teacher, I started recording some Ramana movement activities for parents to do with children. I demonstrated these activities in lessons by Sri Ujwal Jagadeesh of the Ramana Maharshi Center for Learning (RMLC). I became interested in these activities because I could do it with my nephew. Even when my nephew, Ishaan, was only a few months old, he would sit on my mother’s lap…

Daily Rhythm ...
Daily Rhythm …
“We are what we repeatedly do” We are a creature of habit, good or bad. And we all know how our kids thrive on habits and structures. They like predictable patterns. They like sameness and repetition, and repetition builds not only physical but mental strength too. The problem arises when our kids get stuck in sameness, and that’s when Co-regulation helps. We do things repeatedly, and when they…
