Idk if you’re just asking about jally, but as much as I love them I kind of want to explore this with alllll the gang

1. With darry it’s a little complicated… i feel like he wants kids but not because he actually wants them, only because he’s obsessed with conforming to heteronormativity. He was probably extremely excited to have children as a teenager and it’s always been a life goal of his, but after taking care of his brothers and the gang I feel like that excitement would fizzle out a little. On a brighter note, he is still very young. SO maybe after the gang all got their shit together and everyone learned how to take care of themselves, the wanting to have children would spark up again when he’s older. And maybe he’d be like in his late 30s and he finally has a baby and he would be the best father in the world. He’d probably just have one kid

2. Now. Would Two-Bit want a baby or ever want to care for one? No. He likes kids but he wouldn’t want one. Maybe he knocked someone up tho and has to keep it, he’d be a good dad but it’s definitely not in his plans

3. Soda would love to have a kid, he would be that guy with his girlfriend or wife constantly saying “we’re trying for a baby” you know the annoying ones? I think a good chunk of him wanting a child and wanting a wife is because of Sandy, like maybe he could make up for not being there for her. So he subjects his life to heteronormativity, but it’s like.. A very happy heteronormativity. 

4. Steve would not want kids and he would not try for one because he doesn’t get with people who get pregnant. 

5. The same for Pony. He doesn’t want kids and he is very very gay, he wouldn’t have a baby with a boyfriend. 

6. Dallas has never thought about it because he doesn’t think about life past 18, mans is convinced he won’t live very long anyways. But Johnny likes to think about the future often and has considered having kids. He knows he wouldn’t hate it and he’s always wanted a chance to make someone feel the way he never did growing up. I think eventually, he would ask his partner if they could adopt or something. So maybe Jally would have a child.

Litterally every single fic in the 2000s where Pony and Curly are together, Ponyboy is either, A."Girly boy who's soft and naive and wouldn't hurt a fly, and we can't make him a girl bc im a 30yr woman who fetishizes Gay men, and even tho hes underage I'll find some way to sexualize him.🥺" Or B." The same thing but way way more sexual and make him even more naive."

Like Mf have you read the book?💀 or paid attention Ponys character and personality even the slightest bit,he not like that at all, like mf he may be younger but that doesn't mean he fucking doesn't even know what intercourse is, have you ever read, "get away from my kid brother!" The fic makes me hurl and its the exact definition of that, they made Pony 13 and acted like he was litterally 6, like they made Darry physically discipline him, like Darry would ever do that. Also they often brought up he was in a sexual relationship with a 16yr.

I hate 2000s fics so much. Like there are a few good ones, but why act like Ponys not knowledgeable on what sex is?

Also like do people forget that, the word used in the book to describe Pony and all of the Lower class(Sorry I don't want to say it, but like idk how to describe it) is a slur.

Also again with the fact the book and Fandom actively ignore the racism going on back in the 60s. Like, no, the south wasn't all happy go lucky, with no racist things in it.

Also no, there was no, "oh those boys are gay? Hmm well what can I do about it?" Anyone who seemed gay probably got jumped.

Stop ignoring the racism, the homophobia, and other things important in the 60s.

Also stop actively boasting that minors are sexually intertwined.
