I want to build a community, a strong one, that is able to understand the difference between the art and the artist. We shall understand that using and compiling archives of coined terminology is a historian's nightmare and is also their greatest pleasure. I am no historian, just a humanoid with fascinating ideas. That being said, I am not obligated to support or reblog any term or idea that would then go against a deviae person, or for any other reason I see fit. I am reasonable though and not a lot can break me.

On this blog, recently, I rebloged a user's coining of "Species Anarchy", and while in concept it was absolutely wonderful and this reblog had introduced others to the term almost immediately - I believe we must use our smarts here. Separation of the artist from it's art.

Today, the coiner, Aldmeric, had made some sweeping statements regarding someone who uses deviae as a term - calling this orca a "facist". No, no, that will not do.

I believe that any term can be reclaimed and also rightfully fought against no matter what and any proposal of said terminology can be ran to the ground. While Species Anarchy is a perfect label to a concept touched by deviae, association with someone who acts like this;

to civil conversations like this;

is where we draw the line at being able to support the usage and further spread of species anarchy as a term. While yes, we still practice species anarchy, we will not make room for those who attack, call minorities "facists", and then misconstrue the words of others in disagreements. No matter if the person doing it is also a minority. It is "shit-slinging" and it is embarrassing.

Again, if you wish to use this term regardless, we cannot stop you and will not be petty about this more than we already are by making this post in order to inform others that we wish not to associate deviae with the coining of species anarchy and have deleted the reblogs accordingly. Coiners and artists will have drama and they will not be perfect and they will have moments where they are inherently being biased and terrible, but as a fairly new community and term - deviae and the culture around it will not be tainted with conversations that support species anarchy as a label (as a concept it is fine), especially when giving credit to one singular, uneducated, being. Deviae is at it's beginning and we must shield it from issues we can take mantle upon quick and fast in order to grow. Yes, there will be bumpy roads, but we have the ability to change the course.

I want both terms to go their separate ways and not be associated by later archives.

Would you rather let problems fester where they rot or would you fix those arguments and allow for peace between parties? That peace should be upheld by letting those parties go their separate ways and maintaining level headed discussions. Here, as the coiner of deviae, I am saying that I publicly do not wish to associate and then further support the labeling of the anarchy against species and that it is a physical action and movement - not an identity.
