The Irritable Bowel Showdown competitors have been decided!!!

Thank you for your patience, everyone! The participants have been chosen, the bracket has been tentatively created, and preparations for Round One are underway!!!

Thank you for the feedback on my poll about the number of participants. Although the option for accepting further submissions had the most support, after narrowing down the eligible participants to 102, I decided it would be best to continue with the current number so the tournament could begin! As a result, some characters with a higher seeding will automatically move to the second round to accommodate the awkward number of competitors.

Did some floor planning after dinner because I ate WAY too much lol So here is the Arms Race warehouse in it’s entirety, very badly drawn because I never too architecture as a class LOL

The space is roughly 90% Dimitri’s. The bottom left is weapons storage where customer returns/builds go and eventually Clear’s Devil Arms (Grendel is stored there, along with EVENTUALLY Mundus Cereris when that gets finished lol Dunno about the rest of them, I think they’re just gonna end up in Dante’s basement.) Also between the two rooms Clear’s is slightly smaller, that is not me fucking up drawing two even rooms; actually I think I just drew Clear’s too big OOPS. Bathroom does not have two toilets, the one by the shower is a sink. I did mess up drawing the shower to washer/dryer ratio tho LOL;;

so it started because i wanted to give dimitri's uncle rufus a child who was at the academy when the duscur tragedy occurred and then everything stemmed from that, including three full classes and a story with them that spans over almost a decade.

and as much as i love fe3h, i feel like there were so many missed opportunities with the plot, plus i refuse to choose just one route. in this house we take all four routes and mix them together in a blender to create whatever ending we want. canon is what i want it to be <3

since there are so many ocs, i'll shove them all under a read more so it doesn't get too long.

blue lions

madelynn eloise blaiddyd: dimitri's cousin and the future duchess of itha, the leader of the blue lions in 1176, she's kind and generous, but sometimes too passive. her class progression is noble → myrmidon → lord → great lord.

blaise mordecai: the son of a single mother who works as a maid, he showed talent for combat early in life, though he has a rude personality around his classmates, particularly madelynn. his class progression is commoner → fighter → brigand → warrior.

vitalis ulysse kleiman: the middle son of the kleiman family, he dreams of following his older brother's footsteps and becoming a knight for the royal family. he's a very friendly person. his class progression is noble → solider → cavalier → paladin.

luca basile mateus: the eldest son of the mateus family, he comes across as aloof, but really he's just concerned with protecting himself and those he loves. his class progression is noble → fighter → brawler → grappler → war master.

kaiser von boramas: the disobedient son of the boramas family, he and his father are constantly arguing about his future, he's carefree and doesn't bother with appearances. his class progression is noble → fighter → archer → sniper.

ziggy hitzfield: a friendly young man from remire village, the entire village raised money to send him to the officer's academy, which he's incredibly grateful for, and he wants to repay them someday. his class progression is commoner → fighter → brawler → grappler → war master.

nixie riess: a circus performer who was adopted by the ringmaster as a baby. after questioning her heritage, she was directed to the officer's academy and is now searching for answers. her class progression is commoner → monk → mage → warlock → valkyrie.

kostya ostrovsky: ladislava's cousin, she and her family are loyal members of the imperial army, which is why she was sent to the officer's academy like her family before her. she doesn't desire battle and prefers dancing and the arts, but carries on her family's duty. her class progression is commoner → fighter → brigand → wyvern rider → wyvern lord. she also has the abilities of a dancer.

golden deer

silver von daphnel: the nephew of judith von daphnel. he's the older daphnel twin and his parents' favourite, both from being a boy and having a crest. he has an inflated ego despite his good intentions and being the leader of the 1176 class of golden deer doesn't help that. his class progression is noble → fighter → brigand → warrior → war master.

clover von daphnel: the younger daphnel twin and the one constantly overlooked by her parents. she had to source her own learning, but she's more strategic and smart than silver is and is the cause of most of his successes. she's growing bitter about it. her class progression is noble → fighter → archer → sniper.

percival richard acheron: he's the younger brother of acheron, so you can imagine what THAT was like. he's a better person than his wishy washy brother and only wants everyone to be okay. his class progression is noble → soldier → cavalier → paladin.

oscar o'shea: a farmer's son who, while small, is stronger than he looks, and was sponsored to go to the officer's academy by someone he helped. he's friendly, if not a bit naive, and he is wonderful with animals. his class progression is commoner → fighter → brigand → warrior → war master.

elenora morrigan: an amnesiac with an abundance of magical power and talent, but having nowhere to go, she had to steal in order to survive. it was via protecting herself with magic that a member of the knights of seiros saw her and recommended her for the officer's academy. despite not knowing anything about her childhood, she is rather fun to be around, if not blunt. her class progression is commoner → monk → dark mage → warlock → gremory.

nicolo romantza: the son of a noble soldier and a medic, his parents would water down the stories of war, making him have a romanticized version of what it's like. he wants to be a hero and rushes into things without thinking, hence his father sending him to the officer's academy. his class progression is noble → myrmidon → mercenary → hero.

jiselle finley: a girl who learned to fight from travelling merchants after they took her in when her family's house burned down and she's the only one who survived. she takes her training seriously and can be rather bossy. her class progression is commoner → fighter → brawler → grappler.

minna seifried: a frail girl whose parents run a church in alliance territory. she is incredibly loyal to the church of seiros, which is likely why her faith magic is so strong. her class progression is commoner → monk → priest → bishop → gremory.

the story is primarily about them and their experiences through their time at the officer's academy, the few years between that and the war, and then the war itself. they cross paths with canon characters which is fun to brainstorm, and honestly i just have so much fun writing in this world. thank you for asking, anon! and sorry that there are so many skdfjsldkfjsl

In the land of Aligia, five young pets, - Rico the Siberian Husky puppy, Thalia the kitten, Chip the rabbit, Pippo the canary and Mochi the green tree python - live contently with their master, the alchemist Enoch Lovegrove, who tells them bedtime stories of his adventures as a youth every night. One day, Lovegrove leaves them in the care of his neighbor, Mrs. Philpot, to go aid in Colonel Ulysses Fairbeard’s effort to combat the current threat of the warlock Zoulack, who is searching for a mystical relic known as the Egg of Fate, a Fabergé egg which holds immense magic. In retaliation against Fairbeard, Zoulack sends his henchmen to sneak into the camp; they injure Fairbeard and mortally wound Lovegrove. With his last dying breath, Lovegrove prays to a star for his pets to survive, and for Zoulack’s defeat. News of the attack and Lovegrove’s death reaches Philpot and the pets, who are left in grief and uncertain of their fate. Later, having heard Lovegrove’s prayer, the fairy Freesia Starglow visits Lovegrove’s home and transforms the pets into human children before sending them to find the Egg of Fate before Zoulack. After some consideration (as well as some time to get used to their new bodies), the now-human pets, deciding to use the Egg to bring their master back to life, set out into the world, equipped with a map, food and gold coins. Finding them gone and unaware of what happened, Philpot leaves to look for them. On their journey, the five encounter numerous harrowing adventures where they learn to work together. They first pass through the town of Nonfooling, where foolishness is against the law. Here, Chip is swindled out of his money by a con man. When he asks Sheriff Hoppsmann for help, he is arrested, along with the others when they try to defend him. However, since Hoppsmann only cares about locking people up and not keeping them there, they easily escape. Meanwhile, Philpot rallies the help of the recovered Fairbeard and his soldiers to find the pets. After leaving Nonfooling and stopping to rest within a forest, Pippo is almost abducted by a swarm of butterflies in a tranquil clearing, but the others save him with the help of a talking dragonfly named Chopper, who joins the group. Zoulack’s bat sidekick, Dimitri, accidentally eavesdrops on them and, upon realizing the children are Lovegrove’s transformed pets, reports this to Zoulack, who thus sends his henchmen to stop them. After failing to cross a colorful bridge, the group fall into the river below and wash up into the middle of a swamp, losing the map and becoming separated from Chopper in the process. They come across the home of Amelie Traum, a hermit who carves toys and trinkets from the bones of deceased animals, and whom the five liken to a fairytale witch. However, Traum proves to be good-hearted when she provides food and supplies for their journey, while also encouraging them to make good use of their animal instincts. Zoulack’s men find them and assault the house, but the quintet escape while Traum drives the attackers off. The group take shelter in a cave, but when morning comes, they realize they had spent the night in the opening to the Chamber of Fate, where the Egg of Fate lies. They enter and are greeted by the Egg of Fate’s guardian dragon, Qiangteng, who challenges the group to identify which Fabergé egg is the true Egg of Fate; if they can’t, they will become eggs themselves. After Chip, Pippo and Mochi fail, Rico and Thalia use their instincts to find the real Egg of Fate, a simple quartz trellis egg, going on to restore their friends. As they leave the Chamber of Fate while trying to figure out how to use the Egg, they are suddenly found by Zoulack’s minions, who take the Egg and group back to the warlock’s castle. Chopper, seeing this, finds Philpot and Fairbeard’s search party and informs them of what has happened, prompting them to return to the castle, where Zoulack returns the captive pets to their true forms before using the Egg’s magic to animate an army of shadow demons that begins to pour out into the world. As Fairbeard’s soldiers attempt to battle the creatures, Chopper sneaks into the castle and rescues the pets, who steal back the Egg as he distracts Zoulack, who kills him. Using the light produced by the Egg, the five destroy the demons, but are cornered in the highest tower by the deranged Zoulack, who demands the Egg. They trick him with one of the hardboiled eggs meant for Mochi’s lunch, throwing it off the tower; Zoulack jumps off after it to his death as Dimitri flees in a cowardly fashion. The real Egg then “hatches”, releasing a dormant angelic being named Esme, the Spirit of Fate, who allows them one wish as a reward. The pets instead wish for Chopper to be revived, rather than Lovegrove. Chopper is returned to them and Freesia arrives to allow them the ability to shapeshift into their human forms before departing with the Egg. After being praised by Fairbeard and adopted by Philpot, the heroes happily return home.
