DIWALI SWEETS PACK 2022 A PACK OF TWO CUSTOM DESSERTS
Diwali is the festival of lights, it lasts for several days. During this festival, one thing among many that’s done is to make or share sweets. While there are many others that are shared, Rose Barfi and Mohanthal are the two I made this year.
Enjoy!
ROSE BARFI
Rose barfi is a milk based confection, similar to fudge, ghee is heated up and then milk and then milk powder is slowly added rose flavoured syrup or gulab sharbat is then added to the mixture (in this recipe I imagine the syrup was made from scratch with rose flavouring and sugar). Once ready the mixture is cooled so that it can harden and then cut into pieces.
It has all three meal sizes (8 servings, 4 servings and single serving)
Optional icemunmun pistachio, ghee and rose tea and cardamom and SCCO any milk (can be cooked without)
Vegetarian-Safe
MOHANTHAL
Mohanthal is a Gujarati treat made with besan (gram/chickpea flour), ghee, milk, sugar, cardamom and sometimes saffron. The combination of these create a grainy fudge like confection with a sweet cardamom taste.
It has two sizes (8 servings, single serving)
Vegetarian-Safe.
FOR BOTH
It has all three meal sizes (8 servings, 4 servings and single serving)
Optional icemunmun ghee, chickpea, brown sugar, and cardamom, SCCO any milk (can be cooked without)
Vegetarian-Safe
