Chan
Your parents would absolutely LOVE him, and would probably invite him to come over for Diwali - bonus: Chan in a kurta - actually, scratch that - any of the members in a kurta.
Would insist he can handle the spice of your mom’s curries but the extremely red tint on his ears and face says otherwise. He absolutely inhales the lassi.
Would call you a name of endearment in your mother tongue - THERE WAS AN AUTHOR HERE AND I WILL TAG THEM @beebee18 PLS GO READ THIS FIC BECAUSE IT’S THIS VERY ONE THAT CAUSED MY WHOLE SKZ X DESI READER BRAIN ROT - to have Chan call you meri jaan UGH
Would try and learn your language and would probably grasp common phrases like “I’m hungry” or “I love you”. I can see him sneaking up on you when you’re out and about the house, sneaking up behind you and pressing a kiss to your shoulder “bukh lagi hain” (i’m hungry)
Would ask you to marry him in your mother tongue.
Would cry at your wedding when you’re doing the rounds around the fire and saying your vows.
Minho
Would learn bollywood style dancing like bollywood hip hop or something similar to impress you.
Lee Know singing a Bollywood ballad. That’s it. That’s the thought,
Lee Know is really good at learning languages and I feel like he would learn your mother tongue to speak with you or your family. You’re waiting for your mother to open the door when you take him to meet your parents, and you’re assuring him you’ll translate everything they say. Then, when the door opens he immediately greets your mother fluently.
Would cook your favourite traditional dish when you’re feeling homesick. He would text your mom, asking for the recipe before putting together the craziest thali (a/n: I’ve been writing about food so much I’m craving all of this now).
Tries to decorate the house for Diwali but doesn’t quite get how to do the rangoli so he calls Hyunjin for help. Hyunjin walks into your house to see Lee Know with multi-colored rangoli powder smudged onto his face and all over his hands. You come back to the house to find Lee Know chasing Hyunjin with a handful of tissues
Puts coconut oil in your hair and braids it for you. Doesn’t even say anything about it. One day you’re just doing it and he pops into the bathroom, takes the oil from your hands and does it. Massages it into your scalp and braids your hair. Then he just washes his hands and leaves. He does it for you every time now. Gets mad the one time when you decide to do it on your own and he does that angry little sigh. Doesn’t speak to you until you cuddle him and promise you’ll let him do it from now on.
Changbin
You can not convince me this man would not listen to rap music in your mother tongue. Would probably have a favourite rapper. I feel like generally speaking he would be very interested in Bollywood music as a genre and style of music. He would be inspired to maybe include some of those elements like the instrument style etc in his own music.
Would have your contact name saved as a name of endearment in your mother tongue.
Would dance with you at weddings or events.
Would secretly take classes in your mother tongue so he could speak with you. You’d find out one day when you come back home and he’s reciting a speech about how much he loves you.
You introduce him to biryani for the first time and it’s officially his favourite thing. Catch him eating biryani in the dressing rooms in SKZ-Talker
Hyunjin
Would learn how to do mehendi just so he could do yours. I can see him making really beautiful designs of flowers in great detail.
If you know any kind of classical bollywood dances I feel like he would really want to learn the basics so he could dance with you.Bonus: When you get your mehendi done for your wedding, he would probably tear up when he finds his initials in the designs.
Would love watching the romantic bollywood movies - would probably cry WATERFALLS and deny it - but later he posts a painting of a scene from the movie on his instagram. Would slow dance to the romantic songs with you.
Would paint or photograph you in traditional clothing
Would buy you pretty jhumkas and bangles at the market. You find out later that they absolutely ripped him off his money for those bangles but it’s okay because he loves you. That man would be so in love with you he probably build a whole palace in your name.
Han
Would learn an Arjit Singh song for you on the guitar (a/n: just had a thought about this - is arjit singh like the hozier of bollywood??). Would send full covers to you first, before posting a small snippet of it onto Instagram. He might upload a voice message of him singing it on Bubble for Stays but you know it’s all for you.
Would watch bollywood shows and movies with you - probably (definitely) bawls his eyes out when you watch Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or KKKG.
Gets heavily invested in any kind of Bollywood tea, his jaw drops and gasps out loud when his favorite celebrity couple breaks up “they broke up?!”
Randomly blurts out dialogues from famous desi movies
Felix
Judging by the amount of chicken this man eats on mukbang lives (r.i.p bbokari’s cousins), he would LOVE butter chicken and naan. You can’t convince me otherwise because I know I’m right.
Would learn how to bake a traditional sweet and surprise you with it / nearly burns down the kitchen in the process and decides to just order a box of your favourite sweets. I get the feeling Felix would absolutely LOVE Indian sweets like gulab jamun or jalebi or ladoo.
Would 100000% learn your mother tongue.
Would want to do his mehendi with you too - matching designs!!!
Holi! I can see Felix as someone who would really enjoy Holi. He would probably get really sneaky with it and innocently approach you before projectile launching a handful of a mix of colours at you (but that’s only payback because you did the same earlier).
Would surprise you with a trip to your home country when you’re feeling a little homesick.
Seungmin
This man would absolutely learn a ballad or a romantic song for you, would probably learn many just to sing to you - he would most definitely not tell you he’s learning any of these songs until one karaoke night he just pulls out the mic and starts belting it out.
Would pretend to act uninterested when you start watching a desi show or movie (does the uninterested dad pose standing in the living room with his hands on his hips before gradually moving to sit down) but then he ends up being the one to start crying or to start yelling at the television screen. Gets upset when you keep getting advertisement breaks on the screen, is absolutely torn apart when he realises he needs to wait a whole week to find out what happens.
Would learn how to say i love you in your language. I feel like Seungmin is quite soft spoken in the way he expresses love, but he does it strongly. You’d be sitting on the couch together watching a Bollywood series and one of the character’s confesses to the other and he turns to you to do the same.
When you don’t mention important dates of celebrations and festivals, he surprises you by bringing it up first. Probably surprises you with a box of sweets. “What are these for?” “It’s Diwali today isn’t it?!”
Jeongin
I feel like, as someone who sings Trot, Jeongin would really love singing classic Bollywood songs.
Would also get very invested in the shows and movies you watch. This man would not move a muscle from start to finish. Imagine if he watched Bahubali back when it released and at the end of the first movie he’s dying to know what happens and you have to break it to him that he's going to have to wait years until the next movie comes out.
I feel like he’d be really into the Bollywood action/superhero movies like he would really enjoy the Dhoom movie series or Don or Krrish. You’d catch him humming one of the songs from the movies or imitating SRK’s iconic lines from the movie.
He would really love your traditional food and would go out of his way to find authentic restaurants making this food to take you out on a date there - and then you’d have to talk him through the whole menu and what each dish has.

God this blog may just turn into a tmf blog for a bit- Sorry hermitblr/trafficblr peeps
Just listing some basic drew headcanons here because I feel like I see the same ones over and over again so I’d like to combat that 🤺🤺/lh ofc, I love all headcanons
>Drew is Bengali, His great grandparents came to the uk from Kolkata (Whether it be from partition stuff or not) And since then, his family blood has still been entirely from west bengal
>Drew isn’t necessarily religious, however, He enjoys Hindu religious holidays (Like Diwali and Holi) and Pujas and He especially loves the food. His parents (who are Hindu) are fine with him being non religious, But do wish for him to participate in events just to spend time with him, which he doesn’t mind at all
>Adding onto that, he doesn’t eat beef or pork. Not for religious reasons, but because he just wasn’t raised on them and doesn’t enjoy the taste or texture.
>His parents love him, but are absent quite a lot due to work and business meetings. The only times he’ll see them for more than a months on end is during the winter months, mainly because thats holiday season. Other than that, 2 weeks at home, 2 weeks on a business trip, repeat
>His parents try to show their affection to him via gifts and food, because its really all they can send over while they’re away. Because of this, drew developed Gift giving and cooking food for people love languages
>this man can COOK. I know I said its one of his love languages, so you’d assume so, but oh my LORD this man can cook. Its half the reason henry and liam come over so often! He best at more traditional bengali food (although he hates doing it), but he can make pretty much anything if you give him a heads up, the ingredients, and enough time to tinker around with the recipe!
>His hair is actually wavy/loose curls, but he hates having curly hair, so he either straightens it so it doesn’t poof up, or uses a bit of hairspray. The only people who really know his hair is curly is the jomies (including jake, lia, and zoey) because they’ve slept over at his house, and have probably seen him when his hair was wet and curly again.
>He’s 15 feet into a glass closet. My sexuality head-canons for him change a lot, but I’ve sort of settled on omni/ace for now. However, For the most part, I think if he were to come out, he’d just be queer. I dont think he’d care for labels too much
>Obvious attachment issues, slight separation anxiety, although, I can see it being more leaning towards henry and liam than jake for that. He might have had an obsession with jake, but I think it’d have hurt more if henry and liam left him, considering they had been there the longest.
>He loves zoey, even still. He really does. He’s terrible at showing it, but he does his best.
>Zoey, knowing his love language is gift giving, and he’s rich, befriended him in late middle school/early high school, and they started dating seconds year odd high school. Drew definitely was the one who confessed after being hyped up about it by henry and liam and jake. Zoey definitely wasn’t planning on dating him, but shrugged it off as being able to get him to do more stuff. She eventually did develop feelings for him, but she was too far into the mess she had created to stop, so she kept pushing
>He has such an rbf guys, like, he would be thinking about the happiest thing ever and his face would be just this 1000 yard stare
>He definitely drinks energy drinks guys, probably monsters but I can see him bringing an alani to school because he knows he’s gonna get called emo if he brings a monster to school
>He is called emo quite a bit at school, although he isn’t. It doesn’t bother him much anymore.
>He loves cats and really really wants one, but he’s severely allergic. Like, your throat closes and you die unless you get to the ER or have an epipen level allergic.
>He has Two bearded dragons (Each around 18 inches long, a boy and a girl) named Jevin and Pearl, his two favourite hermits
>he watches hermitcraft. Probably the life series and Empires and Outsiders and Life steal and all that stuff too, but He watches hermitcraft RELIGIOUSLY (He’s watched every episode that Jevin, Pearl, Grian, and Xisuma have put out, and he’s working on Mumbo’s pov right now)
>His favourite broadway musicals are Heathers and Six. Mean girls is up there too, but those are his favorites
>He didn’t cry during the titanic because it was sad, but because he watched it with zoey and she was crying, which made him cry
>i’m not gonna diagnose him with anything necessarily because i’m in no way qualified for that, but he definitely has mood swings and his opinions change a lot depending on who else he finds has them. He can go from hating something for years to immediately liking it if Liam says its good, or go from liking something to hating it if Hailey likes it.
>He listens to music, heck, one of his main designs are airpods- So, I think that he definitely listens to electronic stuff, scenecore type shit (Asteria, Barely human, Odetari, Clover!, and allat jazz) Not because its his favourite, but because Liam and henry both listen to it, so drew likes it.
>He really cares about his friends, but is really shit at showing it.
>He’s not good at communication, and is not often sure how to communicate what he wants or what he needs without sounding blunt or rude. He often rehearses how talks will go.
>This mf does not regret bullying that music club guys- I love him but i’m not even gonna attempt to justify him bullying them because I feel like it takes away from his character a lot
>He hates Hailey and Zander, Mainly because he finds them annoying and freaky.
>He’s only bullied luke because of his connection to zander and the music club, he doesn’t really mind luke as a person
>Milly Is his second cousin, they really only have their families meet up on holidays, so they never grew up close. Drew and Milly dont view eachother as family, so they dont care about bullying eachother/doing stuff to eachother’s friends. Drew and Milly do both occasionally pull the “I’m going to tell Thamma (grandma)!”, which does admittedly stop the other from doing whatever they were going to do.
>Drew has picked on pretty much all the club members, except for sean. Whether this be because Sean is taller than him, older than him, Or because they simply just have never really talked, drew mostly leaves him alone. He forgets sean is there most of the time
>Insecure as shit, do I even need to say it lol?
I have a lot more, but these are my main headcanons. Ofc, I fluctuate a lot with them, I’m like a multishipper but instead of shipping its with headcanons.

Ditch the Sugar Crash, Embrace the Millet Mash
Tumblr media
Remember that feeling after an evening of gorging on Diwali mithai? The sugar rush followed by the inevitable crash, leaving you sluggish and wishing you’d opted for the salad platter. Well, friends, there’s a new kid on the block, and it’s got all the sweetness without the guilt — millet sweets!
Think you know Indian sweets? Think again! Sure, laddoos and jalebis reign supreme, but nestled among them are these humble millets, packing a punch of both flavor and health. This ain’t no fad, folks. The Indian millet market is expected to skyrocket to a whopping ₹65,000 crores by 2027, proving that people are craving not just sugar, but smart sugar.
And smart it is! These tiny grains are loaded with protein, fiber, and vitamins, acting like tiny bodyguards against diabetes and heart disease. Studies by the Indian Institute of Millet Research show they can even lower your risk of these nasty conditions — talk about a delicious way to take care of yourself!
But hold on, “healthy” doesn’t always mean “yummy,” right? Wrong! Millet sweets are like a Bollywood dance party on your taste buds — a vibrant explosion of textures and flavors. Imagine:
Crispy foxtail millet jalebis, their nutty sweetness swirling with every bite — ₹20 a plate, not ₹50!
Melt-in-your-mouth ragi laddoos, infused with the warm hug of cardamom and coconut — homemade magic for under ₹100 a batch!
Silky barnyard millet puddings, bursting with the tangy sunshine of mango and chia seeds — a guilt-free dessert for under ₹50!
These are just a few steps in the millet mambo. Fancy restaurants are whipping up gourmet millet cakes and soufflés, but the real beauty lies in your own kitchen. Traditional recipes like payasams and halwas can easily be transformed with millet flours, giving you familiar flavors with a healthy twist.
So, ditch the refined sugar blues and grab your whisks! Explore local markets, dust off your grandma’s recipes, or become your own culinary rockstar. Millet sweets are more than just dessert — they’re a celebration of health, sustainability, and your amazing taste buds. Let’s raise a spoon to the unsung heroes of the sweet world, the millets, and savor the symphony of taste and well-being!
