Does diabetes cause weight gain?
Type 1 Diabetes
Insulin and Weight: People with type 1 diabetes need insulin to help control their blood sugar levels. Insulin therapy is essential but can lead to weight gain if it results in consuming more calories than the body needs. This is because insulin helps cells use glucose (sugar) from the bloodstream, which can sometimes lead to increased appetite.
Managing Weight: Managing weight with type 1 diabetes involves balancing insulin doses, diet, and physical activity. If you gain weight, it’s usually a sign that your insulin needs or your eating habits may need adjustment.
Type 2 Diabetes
Insulin Resistance and Weight Gain: In type 2 diabetes, the body doesn’t use insulin properly (insulin resistance), and the pancreas might not produce enough insulin. This condition is often associated with overweight or obesity. Excess weight can make insulin resistance worse, creating a cycle where weight gain and diabetes can influence each other.
Medication and Weight: Some medicines used to manage type 2 diabetes, like certain oral medications and insulin, can lead to weight gain. This is because they might increase appetite or cause the body to store more fat.
Lifestyle Factors: Diet and physical inactivity are significant factors in type 2 diabetes. Poor eating habits and a lack of exercise can lead to weight gain, which in turn can make diabetes management more challenging.
General Factors
Diet and Activity: Both types of diabetes can lead to changes in eating habits and physical activity. For example, if you feel tired or unwell from poorly controlled diabetes, you might exercise less and possibly eat more unhealthy foods, contributing to weight gain.
Stress and Emotional Factors: Dealing with a chronic condition like diabetes can be stressful. Sometimes, anxiety or emotional struggles can lead to overeating or poor food choices, which can contribute to weight gain.
Managing Weight with Diabetes
Embrace a well-rounded diet by incorporating whole grains, fresh fruits, vibrant vegetables, lean proteins, and nourishing healthy fats for optimal health.
Regular Exercise: Physical activity helps burn calories, improve insulin sensitivity, and support overall health. Aim for regular exercise as part of a diabetes management plan.
Medication Review: If you notice significant weight changes while on diabetes medication, discuss this with your healthcare provider. They may adjust your medication or suggest strategies to help manage weight.

hypersensitivities
How Aizawa, Toshinori, and Hizashi would help and support their s/o with hypersensitivities.
While hypersensitivities can be caused by many things (both mental and physical), mine are from ADHD and anxiety. I believe I kept these as general as possible so others can relate even if their issues aren’t caused by the same things as mine.
Tumblr media
Aizawa Shouta
Aizawa’s the least picky person out there. Come home with a different smelling shampoo for him or a new comforter made out of your preferred material and he won’t bat an eye. If it works, he’s fine with it.
Rubbing. Digging. Scruffing. Itching. Constricting. You just can’t get away from it. There’s always something touching you. It makes your entire being uncomfortable and agitated. He’ll ask if there’s anything he can do. He knows you sometimes need space to breathe and calm yourself. Those times when you want someone to help, he’s there. If you need your weighted blanket, he can find it. If you need shea butter lotion, he can apply it. If you just need some skin-to-skin contact, he can provide it. Anything to get you to stop scratching and pulling at yourself, he’ll do because he hates seeing you so visibly distraught.
Having a strong sense of taste and an aversion to textiles can lead to a difficult food life. Onions are fine if they’re in this dish, prepared this way. Tomatoes, mushrooms, and bananas? Gooey and slimy. Seafood? Beans? Never. It’s frustrating to just eat. While Aizawa’s no connoisseur or nutritionist, he can (surprisingly) cook pretty well. And he sticks to plain, easy dishes. It’s great when you’re essentially limited to bread, some kinds of pasta, and some fruits and meats. He can help with any simple soups and basic meat dishes.
If a truck’s horn or that ridiculously high pitch buzzing finally breaks your ears down to the point you’re crying, find Shouta. He’s always willing to cuddle. Even more so when you need comforting. He’s so safe and secure. Hands will stroke circles while lips kiss your temple. If you have to play rain or ocean sounds in your earbuds or from your phone, he’ll lay in bed with you, keeping you locked to him, and press kisses all over.
Whenever you leave the house, he reminds you to bring any glasses that you need: FL-41 for light sensitivity, blue blockers for computer screens, even category 4 sunglasses if your eyes need that amount of protection. He always remembers. You’ll be at the mall, squinting from the horrible fluorescents, and he’ll pull them out of his pocket for you.
His hair is perfect for hiding in when you’re out in public. It’s thick and smells like him. And while he dislikes PDA, he does make exceptions. Whenever you need a break from the lights, just turn into him, rest against his chest, and his hair will fall over your eyes. He’ll hold you close, patiently waiting for you to be ready to continue.
Please, never feel high-maintenance. If anything, having you in his life makes him more attentive to himself. He’ll eat better from any meal plans. He’ll clean his place more often so it’s enjoyable for you. He is especially aware of what cleaning supplies and detergent he uses. He just becomes considerate of how you’re in his life and what he does because he loves you.
Tumblr media
Yagi Toshinori
Toshi developed a love for cooking. With his injury, his nutritional needs changed, so he’s learned to cook well to avoid constantly buying expensive foods. Any aversions you have, whether it be texture, smell, or taste, he’ll avoid. Can the slightest change in the sauce throw the whole dish off? His measurements are as precise as can be. Lettuce is fine, but spinach, cabbage, and parsley? It’s basically paper in your mouth. He’ll find recipes that include just lettuce and your preferred vegetables. You’ll come home to another new dish he made to surprise you.
Textile sensitivities are difficult to deal with. And clothes shopping becomes the worst task of them all. You have to test the fabric, the seams, where the tag is, how the shoulders and neck sit, the sleeve tightness, everything. Toshi will keep a list of the exact materials you like for blankets, pillows, towels, carpets, and clothing. And it doesn’t stop there. Is stoneware and glass dinnerware too irritating on your fingers? His next investment his wooden or metal dinnerware. Is cold press and rough drawing paper uncomfortable? He’ll be on the lookout for specific hot press paper.
The only thing he uses that smells is his cologne. It’s simple and never overwhelming. But if you need a different scent, he’s more than willing to go to the store with you so you can pick out something you like.
Any scents that calm you, candles, incense, and those air freshener crystal beads, will be that scent. Vanilla or lavender. Maybe there’s some obscure scent you can only dig up online? Oh, he’ll find it. It’s incomprehensible how much he loves you. And your comfort is vital. Because if you can’t feel comfortable in your own home, then something’s seriously wrong.
The lightbulbs in your place are always free for you to change. If incandescent bulbs are what you need in the living room, buy them and change them out. If green LED lights help with migraines and pain, put them in the lamp near your bed while you rest. Install smart lighting so you can dim and change the lights whenever you need to. Toshi doesn’t care about the expenses. If it helps and protects your eyes, then money means nothing to him.
It doesn’t help that his smile is just so darn bright.
Overstimulation takes over so suddenly. You’re sitting in the living room, reading, when all of a sudden, the TV and microwave throws your hearing off, your bra becomes a boa constrictor and it’s only tightening, the flowers, food, and candles engulfs your entire being. It’s throttling, smothering, and you can’t escape. You’re left to drown.
The minute you’re scratching, rocking, or crying, he’s prepared. Is your dog fluffy and grounding? Toshi brings her over. Do you need a hot or cold shower? It’s already running. Is fresh air the best for you? He’s walking you to the balcony or roof for a break. He can stay with you or leave you alone.
Tumblr media
Yamada Hizashi
Hizashi is a little bit of a picky eater too. Certain vegetables and sauces like tartar, guacamole, and harissa bother him, especially if the sauces are chunky. He prefers smoother dressings/sauces. So he completely understands any food aversions you have and never makes you feel guilty for being picky. He spends extra care when choosing what restaurants to go to and what he picks up for takeout.
He loves jewelry, not just wearing it, but on his partner too: necklaces that highlight your collarbones and rings that emphasize your fingers. He wants to buy you jewelry and hates that you don’t like it. He isn’t mad at you or your preferences but at how uncomfortable you get in your own skin. He wants you to feel great. And those mornings where you change outfits nine times until you finally find something that isn’t suffocating, his heart breaks.
You can bet he’ll come home with five bras and ten shirts he found that he knows you’ll like. The shirts are soft and the exact size and shape you want with no annoying frills, buttons, or ties. The bras are cute and never have tight, prodding wires or scratchy lace. He’s like a bloodhound when he’s at the store. One whiff of a good pair of pants and he’s ransacking the isles for more like it. He wants you feeling cozy, comfortable, and sexy!
A lot of gum goes in his mouth. His breath and taste is always something. But mint is powerful. There are too many kinds- spearmint, peppermint, winter-something, sweet-whatever, polar-anything. They’re overwhelming, upset your stomach, soak into your tongue, and cling to your clothes. You’ll smell it long after he gives you a kiss. To help, Hizashi will buy literally every flavor of gum there is and let you pick the ones you like. Bubblegum? Classic. Berry Blast? He loves fruit! Apple Pie or Confetti Cake Pop? Odd choice but he can dig it!
Noise sensitivities will be a little tough to manage when living with him. And it’s not his quirk that’s the problem. He’s just a noisy guy. He’s bumping things, knocking them over. He hums, pops, and sings all the time. Music or instruments are often playing somewhere in the apartment. Sound canceling headphones would be a good investment because it’s near impossible for him to just stop making noise. It's ingrained in him. Though there will be days when he’s almost completely quiet so he can spend time with you… and press kisses all over your face.
If you need sunglasses, Hizashi is your guy. Styles, tints, frames, colors, he’ll make sure your eyes are protected and you look perfect. In your home, he’ll cover up any reflective or bright surfaces that bother you: throwing a blanket over the refrigerator and getting blackout curtains. And if you need the often dreaded eyedrops, he’ll apply them for you. He’ll reward you with chocolate and kisses.
Since he’s so in tune with his partner’s emotions, he can notice when you’re starting to get overstimulated. Your voice may get sharper. You're itching your arm till it’s red. Your squinting and tilting away from certain sounds. He’ll recommend you take a break. Go lay down with the cat. Read a book under your weighted blanket. Burn some candles while in the bath. He’ll massage lotion into your back after for extra comfort.

(Also, I need to go back and tag some folks.) Comments welcome. Thanks for reading!
~
It had been weeks since the Witcher had been through town, so when his massive frame darkened the doorway of the inn, the women who worked there scattered to put on their rosy lips and tighten their bodices just a bit more. In truth, none of them would have even asked him for a single coin. Being the one chosen to bed the Witcher later that night would have been more than enough payment for keeping his plate full, his drink topped off, and some easy company with curves to fondle while he consumed and brooded.
By dusk, the leather clad man was served enough of a steady stream of ale to just barely soften the lines across his troubled brow. His demeanor was still altogether sullen, leaning over his mug, shoulders rolled forward, silver strands of hair fallen around his weary features. The hunt had not gone well.
He needed food, a bath and a hard fuck. Emptying himself out in the tight cunt of a pretty little thing would help clear his head. It might even afford him the chance to get a little bit of rest.
Mathilde, one of the more experienced women, saw Geralt always had proper company to suit his mood. Settling in next to him with a mug, she let out a labored sigh and sipped on her ale. His heavy lidded gaze glanced her way and an acknowledgement “Hmm” rumbled from his chest.
“You look tired, Witcher,” she noted, leaning heavily into his shoulder armor. “Why don’t you stay more than a night or two, my darling? Let Mathilde look after you a bit.”
“Hmm.”
That was usually enough to get him headed into a room upstairs but instead he sat back and downed the last third of his drink.
Mimicking his motions, she sighed and turned away from the room to whisper into his ear.
“Anyone caught your eye tonight, darling?”
Geralt looked in a drunken citrine haze around the room, but took pause at your figure sitting at the hearth, tending to the fire.
“Hm,” he grunted, motioning with his chin, before sipping on the fresh pint just delivered.
Mathilde pressed her lips together and slipped her hand under the table to touch his knee. Lazily lifting an eyebrow at her advances, he waited in silence for more information.
“She is new since you been here last, darling. Might not be exactly what you’re in the mood for tonight though love. Let’s maybe try Larissa? She can be bent over a sack of potatoes in the kitchen in about two minutes if you want an early night in.”
The slightest downward tick of his mouth indicated he was not pleased with her proposition. Returning his gaze to your outline seated by the fire, he grunted,
“Send the doe-eyed one up with soap.”
You’d barely seen the shadowy figure dragging his weary frame upstairs before Mathilde crossed the noisy room to where you were seated.
“You’re up, girlie,” the mistress instructed without a drop of honey in her tone. “Take a bar of soap up to the Witcher.”
Willing your hands to stop trembling, you paused and pressed your back against the wall just outside his door. Shaky breaths felt like they could have rattled your body to pieces and left you collapsed on the floor.
You’d been saved the humiliation of participating in the activities all of the other girls were involved with by staying in the kitchen for the last few weeks you’d been at the inn. Knowing absolutely nothing about cooking, you still tried to make yourself useful. Carrots were cut in odd sizes at an achingly slow pace. Onions made you weep so much that you closed your eyes while cutting and sliced your knuckles by mistake. Collecting potatoes, you’d managed to get tangled in a thicket of thistles and stumbled back to the kitchen empty handed and covered head to toe in burrs.
Having absolutely no training about local flora and fauna, you assumed all herbs were created equal. You’d never have known the herbs next to the parsley were in fact poisonous had you not washed and cut them to put in the soup yourself. Just a few sprinkles of green on top of a spoonful of broth made you immediately sick. Your body revolted and cast up everything you’d eaten that day, over and over.
So you were sent out of the kitchen. Potentially poisoning patrons was apparently the last straw. You knew it was only a matter of time before you would be sent upstairs to perform other activities. And it made your hands sweat and breathing quicken so much that you started to see stars.
Just as you were feeling your legs might give out from under you, the door swung open.
The white haired man stood as a broad shouldered wall of muscle, leather pants undone low around his hips, shirt crumpled in his hand.
You were absolutely dwarfed small by his impressive size. Upon one last shallow inhale, the soap dropped from your hand and your eyelashes fluttered closed.
Catching your waist, he tossed his shirt at the foot of the bed, swept you over his forearm and sighed. He’d heard your rapid heartbeat, like a frightened deer hiding under a brush pile, from the other side of his closed door. Of course, he was used to a cool reception wherever he went, but making you faint dead away was not his intention.
Dragging you to the bed, he hummed a thoughtful sound. He’d felt the kind of expensive green fabric you wore under his rough hands many times, but never in a place like this. Dresses this soft came from fabric woven from far away places, which meant you’d come from money and belonged in a court somewhere not collapsed on his bed in a brothel in the center of nowhere.
Fortunately, he had more knowledge of courtly dresses than most men, particularly their quick removal.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, he let you fall forward so your head rested against his shoulder as he reached for his silver dagger and slipped it right up your spine, slicing the ties laced across your back. Roughly tugging apart your dress, your body responded with a desperate gasp.
With a shuddering exhale, your fingers grasped onto his thick biceps, trying to ground yourself as the dizzying sensation passed.
He made quick work pulling you free from the binding garment, slipping it down your shoulders, letting it pool around your hips.
“I’m… sorry… I don’t know… what happened,” you stilted, pressing your forehead into the crook of his neck.
“Why you ladies tie yourselves up in these fucking dresses I’ll never know,” he grumbled almost imperceptibly low. Slipping a hand under your hair, he stroked along your jaw and lifted your head with his thumb. “Better?”
You straightened up a bit and released your fingertips from their death grip into his upper arms.
“Better,” you lied. “How may I… please you?”
Regarding you with amusement, he lifted a brow. “Please me? Keep breathing for a start.”
You bit your lip, and his golden eyes followed. You were uncertain how to say the things out loud that you were supposed to say. Even moreso, do the things you were in his bed to do.
You frowned in confusion when he reached around your hip and pulled back the covers.
“You can stay here tonight,” his voice resonated deep in his chest. “I’m going to wash up.”
“Can I help?” you asked meekly.
He tugged your bitten bottom lip from between your teeth with his thumb. “You can stay right here.”
Decision made, his weight lifted from the bed making the old frame creak. He went to the fireplace to add more wood before heading to the bath in the main part of the room.
Pushing your heavy outer dress down your hips, you remained in your underclothes and slipped your cold feet under the covers, pulling the wool blanket up to your neck.
Geralt groaned as he sank down into the bath. Every muscle in his body ached.
Resting his heavy arms along the sides of the bath, his tired eyes finally closed and he rested his head back against the hot water basin.
Still alert like a snoozing cat, he didn’t move a muscle when you padded over, undressed and carefully held onto the edge of the bath to climb in with him.
You settled a long moment opposite him, drawing your knees up to your chest in the warm water. Fairly certain he was sleeping, you were allowed a longer look at him without those keen eyes flashing at you. He really was stunningly beautiful. Somehow that made what you were about to do even more difficult.
You were just inches away from touching his large hand holding onto the edge of the tub but he sensed your reach and grumbled, “What are you doing, little fawn?”
You gasped and froze, glancing at his still reclined and resting form.
“I… um…” you stumbled, pushing forward despite your racing heart shooting up into your throat. Wrapping your hand around two of his massive fingers, you pulled it underwater and his palm around your waist.
“You paid for this... room…” came your breathy voice, collecting every last bit of courage left in your body. Slipping over to him, you rose onto your knees before him, letting the water just skim the underside of your breasts.
His gaze became dark, pupils dilated, as he followed the water droplets rolling down your flushed skin.
He licked over his lip and flicked his gaze back up to yours after drinking in all of the soft flesh you were offering. His hand you’d wrapped around yourself flexed and pulled you flush to his chest. You could feel the steady thump of his heart pounding like a horse’s canter under your palms. Nudging his nose to yours, you could feel his warm breath against your lips when he parted his and waited.
It was so close and quiet and intimate and it surprised you.
A man like him could take what he wanted. But he was stalled out, stroking your neck with his thumb and the curve at the small of your back, while you decided. Leaning just that tiny bit more forward, you gave his full lips a chaste kiss, long and lingering, before backing off, still just inches from his face, and gazed at him through your dark lashes.
It was more than enough encouragement for him to stretch his long neck and tilt his head just a degree, capturing your mouth with his. He kissed you like a man starved, filling all of his senses with your sweet, soft presence, inhaling deeply your scent and needing to taste your lips, feel your soft tongue, breathe the same breath with each kiss that he dipped to receive from you.
It filled your body with such heat, from your cheeks to your toes, overwhelmed with the sensation.
Dropping his head, he pressed his lips to your neck, leaving little nips down to your collarbone. Nuzzling your chest there he huffed in appreciation and lifted his gaze again, arching a brow. He had a mischievous glint in his amber eyes which you couldn’t help but smile softly at. It was then that you felt him cup your breast, massaging it gently in his strong hand. His thumb found the sensitive nub of your hardened nipple and you bit your bottom lip to stifle a whimper.
Your eyelashes fluttered closed when your foreheads touched. He nudged his nose to yours and told you in a gentle rumble, “I want to hear you.”
Pawing your fingertips at the rock hard muscle atop his shoulders, you whined and let your head fall back, your hair spreading across the water as he lifted your body inches more out of the bath, kissing down your sternum, delivering hungry kisses to your warm flesh until his mouth finally found that nipple he’d been teasing.
Your whine turned into a moan as he hugged your hips to his chest. He caught behind one of your shaky knees and helped you wrap your squirming legs around his middle, never pausing for a second on the attention his open mouthed suckling kisses were giving your breast. Once it seemed he’d gorged himself on one breast, he shifted your body slightly and dropped his head down again to capture the second nipple in his mouth.
You dug your heels into his muscular back and threaded your fingers through his hair, arching and whimpering sounds you didn’t know you could make. Flattening his tongue along the swell of the underside of your breast, he lifted it past his lips and into his hollowed mouth, drawing you deep into him and suckling at such a slow even rhythm, rubbing your sensitive nipple into the roof of his mouth. Something like lightning shocked from your nipple down to your clit, making your hips jerk foreword violently.
“Hmm,” he grunted approvingly, feeling the swell of the hood of your clit nudge against his stomach when your thighs tightened again. Even underwater he could feel your slick heat smearing against his taut skin.
The slightest flutter of gentle fingertips near your core made you gasp his name. Wrapping both arms behind his neck, you rutted into him, trying desperately to get more friction.
Thick fingers slipped along your folds, coating you in your own sex, and a desperate ache pooled in your belly. Your hips rocked making waves in the bath and some spilled onto the floor.
“Careful there,” he teased, spreading two fingers around your core to stretch your center from outside. His thumb pad completely covered and deliciously circled your almost too sensitive clit. It made you cry out when he sped up thumbing over the tip of your swollen nub and then curled a thick finger over your clit hood, drawing down to his circling thumb. It was a motion and sensation and pressure you’d never even thought of to try yourself and it made your inside walls tighten and become thick with want.
Your fingers curled into the hair at the nape of his neck, not meaning to pull his hair hard as you writhed into his hand and panted into his mouth. Your eyes were shut, and an almost pained expression tensed your features as you moved into his rhythmic ministrations.
His expressive eyes never closed for a moment, however. Black dilated pupils caught in the light and he gazed at you like a hunter to prey. He wanted to see the heave of your breasts and how they shuddered against his chest at the pleasure he was giving you. He wanted to see how your eyebrows lifted and furrowed as if you were singing a song of ecstasy whose melody could only be heard by watching your beautiful features as he stroked your most sensitive parts of you. It was a melody you were writing together with every caress, kiss and muscle twitch.
You wrapped one arm behind his neck and pressed the other’s palm to his shoulder, giving you a bit of push and pull leverage against his anchored body. Your core was tightening and not willing to relax even if you willed it to.
“Fuck! Please don’t stop!” you cried trembling all over.
He growled a pleased sound, snaking his tongue into your mouth which you licked at wildly. He was doing things to your body you’d never felt before. How were you supposed to tell him it felt better than the best feeling ever without having any words fully formed coming from your brain?
“You like that, little fawn?” he purred as your mouth crashed against his again.
“Ah-hah…” you mumbled into his mouth, coveting more of his strong tongue. You wanted to taste him, every inch of him, have his scent all over your body. The need was incredible.
The forearm holding around your hips eased tension and his free hand slid down to caress over the curve of your behind. You cooed and nibbled at his swollen lower lip, still slipping into his thumb and fingers at your front.
His one strong palm pressed under you from behind almost made a seat for you, and you were able to relax your thighs’ grip on his sides.
You gasped and dropped your head down against his shoulder, shuddering when you felt his thick fingers from behind slicking along your tensed up core and began circling with increased pressure where he’d been working to stretch you before.
Falling silent, your hips stilled and warm breath panting against his neck caught in your throat.
He could no longer see the impending orgasm written across your features when you buried your face in his neck, but he could definitely still feel the hard heartbeat between your legs kissing at his bare stomach.
One slickened middle finger traced your opening, swirling over it gently at first and then pressed his fingertip into you.
His heightened hearing caught your mouse-sized whisper into his shoulder, “Please don’t…”

Movie night has very few rules; anyone and everyone in the compound was invited. Admission was a contribution towards food, either chip in for takeout or bring something to share.
That had been eye-opening.
Natasha is especially adept at dips; and not just salsa or ripping open a packet of onion soup powder and dumping it into a tub of sour cream. This girl will customize guacamole to your spice and chunk preference.
She’ll make vats of spinach and artichoke dip without breaking a sweat. And her BLT dip? You don’t want to know what is in it, because you’re certain that it would require an extra two hours in the gym and turning down the personal batch she’ll make just for you to horde in your fridge.
Then there’s Steve and Barnes: The witless wonders in the kitchen. Although Steve can make a mean soup and he knows just how essential a crockpot is. And Barnes is getting better since he’s instituted dinners with you, where you’ve been teaching him how to cook.
Sam insists that the only thing he can properly make is breakfast and a Thanksgiving turkey, so basically you’re just counting down the days for him to show up or shut up.
Banner is the complete dark horse. You like baking; it’s relaxing and you get to make pretty and delicious things. You just don’t have the patience for the fancy stuff.
Bruce does.
He makes macarons, pavlovas, and pies with the most intricate and decorative crusts you’ve ever seen outside of a bakery. Two weeks ago he made chocolate souffle and you got so excited that you jumped into his arms and squeezed him tightly.
The final rule of movie night is that if someone picks the first movie in a franchise, you have to watch all the movies before moving on to something else. Apparently, according to Tony Stark, if you pick The Hobbit … you’re not only watching those three movies, but also The Lord of the Rings trilogy ‘because they’re all set in the same universe and this is my place’.
Tonight marks the halfway point through a franchise and you thank your lucky stars that this one only has five movies in it. You like this franchise, but frankly, Johnny Depp is getting a little old to play a rummed up pirate with a questionable moral compass.
After leaving Natasha in the gym and taking a quick shower you spend the rest of your afternoon making cupcakes. Five dozen to be exact. The clean up took longer than you’d planned, but you still managed to do all the things to yourself. After loading them all up in the massive cupcakes carriers and then into a large box, you exit your quarters only to be met with Barnes.
You can feel the heat rise in your cheeks when his eyes go wide when he sees the load you’re trying to maneuver and he reaches out to take it from you. “I could’ve managed, but thanks.”
He gives you a wry smile and glances into the box, “You made cupcakes? What kind are they?”
Before you can answer him though, he’s put the box down, ripped the lid off the top carrier, grabbed a treat and somehow managed to take the baking paper off and shove the whole thing in his mouth in less than 10 seconds.
You smirk because he’s going to get a toothache or maybe he’ll choke, but it’s also sort of cute.
He could still choke though.
“They’re salted caramel with vanilla buttercream swirled with a caramel drizzle and then topped with sea salt.” You look at him as he groans and you can feel it straight into your bones and various other places. He finally swallows and reaches for another when you reach out to stop him.
“I made 60, so there’s plenty,” you say, and he has the good grace to look slightly ashamed.” You also have a little buttercream right-” You reach out with your thumb and wipe at the corner of his mouth. Instinctively, his tongue darts to the spot and for whatever reason - only you and your vagina understand - you put your thumb into your mouth.
His eyes darken and you both stand there for a solid minute staring at the other, daring each other to make a move. When he steps over the box at your feet, your heart jumps. His hands find your hips and he grips you gently and pushes you against your door. You can feel the cool metal of his left hand versus the heat radiating from his right.
“Tell me to stop,” James whispers, begging you, but you can’t form the words that are caught in your throat. He skims his nose along the column of your neck and up to your ear. He nibbles softly and you melt against him. He thrusts one of his knees between your thighs to help support you and runs his hands up and down your ribcage.
As you whine softly and grind on his leg he mutters into your ear, “Dracu-ma (fuck me).”
You’ve heard him speak Romanian before. He mutters in the gym while lifting weights. When a glass slipped from his hands just last week when he was doing your dishes. You’re almost certain you heard him mumble disjointed sentences when you both dozed under that maple.
This is different.
And that’s when the world comes crashing down around you.
If you were going to go down this path with him, it won’t start out in the hallway.
It won’t be when you can’t even figure out what name you want to call him and just realized you had real-time feelings for him.
It won’t be when you aren’t sure how to tell him you want him you lo-
It won’t.
It’ won’t.
You won’t.
Your body stiffens and he immediately drops his hands, “Did I read this wrong?” His striking blue eyes search yours and you see the concern, tinged with a little fear clouded over into resignation. “I get it,” he says and takes a deliberate step back, remembering to step over the box of cupcakes.
“James, no.” You dig the heels of your hands into your eyes and contemplate screaming for an hour to release the frustration you’re feeling. “You didn’t read this wrong.” His eyes sharpen on you. “I just … I’m not sure how to tell you what I’m feeling.”
You find yourself in the same situation you were in mere moments before; you’re both staring at each other until he finally speaks.
“Well, I hope you’re feeling up to movie night,” he says, and bends over to pick up the box and sends you a wink and smile when he straightens. “Steve says the TV is out in the media room and it’s just the three of us tonight, so we’ll see you at our place in a bit.”
He walks away and you slide down the door into a heap on the floor and just sit there for a solid ten minutes before you pull out your phone and send off a text to Steve to make sure he’s still in for his part of the plan (and to talk you down off the ledge you’ve built for yourself.)
When you let yourself into Steve and James’ quarters thirty minutes later, the scene you find would be comical if you hadn’t had a part in orchestrating it.
Steve is sitting in his favorite cushy armchair with a look of despair and tiredness etched across his features.
“Boys,” you acknowledge as you enter and notice that at least one of the cupcake carriers has been relieved of at least a dozen treats.
“Hey, sweets.” James isn’t looking at you and you raise an eyebrow at his slightly dismissive tone and a new spin on a nickname. “Have you seen my copy of ‘At World’s End’?”
You now realize why he’s on the floor and every movie that belongs to the two men is strewn about.
“I have no idea. How could you have lost it?” You lean against the arm of the couch and watch the show as James scoots around on his hands and knees searching. When you glance over at Steve he rolls his eyes and then stares pointedly at you.
You clear your throat, “So, who ate all those cupcakes?” James freezes in his tracks, sits up on his haunches, and turns to look at you over his shoulder.
“I only had that one.” He smirks just enough and then points a finger at Steve who is prepared and has a sheepish look on his face.
“I can’t resist salted caramel!” He’s protesting and James is laughing at him. You eye him to tell him to take it down a notch or two. “If it makes you feel any better, my stomach is killing me now.” He groans lightly and sinks further into the chair.
Perfect.
“Poor baby, can’t handle his sweets.” You wink at him and he flips you off when James goes back to searching. “Hey, Bucky,” you say, and his head swivels slowly around to look at you. “I’ve got the box set. Come over and we’ll order food and leave this child to suffer the consequences of his choices.”
You grab some cupcakes and saunter out, knowing full well that he’ll follow you.
You offered him movie night and food.
You called him Bucky.
And you have some unfinished business.
Precisely six minutes later, after you somehow manage to put the DVD in and cue it up and light a fat jar candle you have on your coffee table, you’re still waiting for the Tin Man to appear. You assume it’s taking him so long because Steve made him clean up the mess he made, but you suspect that there are just piles of DVDs stacked haphazardly around the living room down the hall.
When he finally knocks, you call out to tell him the door is open and your voice catches a little in your throat. You walk out of your kitchen as he walks in, holding up two take-out menus.
“Your choice, I’m fine with whatever.” You don’t mean for the phrase to come out sounding like some double entendre, but it does a little bit.
He plucks them both out of your hands and considers them seriously for a few moments. “This one,” he hands a menu back to you and walks you back into the kitchen until you hit the island with your ass and he cages you with his arms. “I’ll take two orders of the assorted dim sum, the house special lo mein, and do you like wonton soup, doll?”
You swallow hard.
There is no way this should feel like foreplay, but it does.
“I love it. Do you like salt and pepper wings?” he says, nodding, and you reach into your back pocket for your phone. “Then I’ll call it in.”
When you bring the device to your ear, he backs away and wanders around your quarters.
After quietly finishing the order and telling the restaurant the instructions for when they arrive, you hang up and stare at him. The broad expanse of his back is hunched over as he’s crouched down and looking at some photographs on one of the lower bookshelves.
He’s been in here, but you usually push him right out the door as quickly as possible after he’s washed the dishes after one of your dinners.
He never lingers over coffee and conversation.  So, this is the first time he’s investigating your space. You’re not sure you like.
“My family,” you say softly and he looks over his shoulder at you. “My parents and my older brother died when I was seventeen and my younger sister was only nine.”
He fingers the edge of the frame before standing but doesn’t say anything. He’s looking at your diploma from Columbia and the few other photos you have when you see him still and his gaze land on a photo of you and Steve.
You suddenly think that all of this, whatever it is, is a terrible idea. Granted, whatever was between you and Steve is in the past, but that doesn’t mean everyone sees it that way.
“You look really happy here.” His voice is soft and gentle. You know what picture it is, but have the wherewithal to walk over and look at it with him.
You were at one of Stark’s galas. It was black tie and the two of you had gone together because it seemed easiest. Both you and Steve were bored quickly, so you made up a drinking game where you took a shot every time a woman (or man) hit on Steve in front of you.
Steve did the same for all the men that hit on you but seeing as he couldn’t get drunk, you turned yourself into a shit show rather quickly. The resulting picture is somewhere between shot numbers seven and ten.
“I was happy. I was also incredibly drunk, but we had fun that night.” You laugh lightly to yourself, “I tried to convince him to let me throw his shield.”
“Did he?” He looks into your eyes and smiles, “Because I don’t think you could throw it stone-cold sober.”
“He didn’t and I can’t.” You shrug and walk towards the couch. “C’mon, let’s start this before the food gets here.”
You press play on the DVD menu and the familiar refrain begins as you side-eye James to see what he’s doing.
The couch isn’t a loveseat but it isn’t a sprawling sectional either. It’s three-seater and you’ve both made some unspoken agreement that the middle cushion is no man’s land. In fact, you’re pretty sure you haven’t sat this far away from someone while watching a movie on a couch since high school.
Forty minutes into the movie, the food arrives and you pause to eat and you take the opportunity to steal a few dim sum and settle in a little closer and a little more open towards him. When you start up the movie again, you’ve got one knee up on the middle cushion, body angled towards him slightly, and one elbow propped up on the back of the couch and supporting your head.
He’s not making any moves and you wonder if when you told him to stop earlier, he took it to heart. So, you start doing little things that end getting you closer, inch by inch. You kick off your little house slippers. “You can take off your shoes if you want.”
Then you reach almost across him to get a fortune cookie that’s sitting on the table in front of him, which gains you a few millimeters. You pretend to crack your back, and at this point, you’re basically straddling the space between your cushion and the middle one.
At some point, your arm falls to the back of the couch as you react to the scene and when you realize that your hand is on James’ forearm, he’s moving a little bit closer to you. Where you feel shy, he seems sure. His eyes are dark and determined.
“You could come closer,” you say softly and he shrugs. His eyes flicker back to the screen and then back to you. He’s watching you and only you.
“I could, but I need you to tell me how to move along with this.” He flips your hand over and his fingertips dance over your palm. So you scoot closer. You know he’s warm and suddenly, your skin has broken out in goosebumps.
“I feel like there’s been a shift in the last couple of months, between us,” he says low, his voice like a hot coffee with a generous shot of whiskey, and the sound of it sends a bolt of electricity straight to your center. “It feels like there’s been a lot of starts and stops too.”
“I’d have to agree.” You look up at him and find his blue eyes dark with intensity. You rotate your wrist and mirror his actions and run your fingers along his palm and wrist. “There’s something more here, between us, I mean.”
“Of course there is. It’s why I spend all my free time with you.” He slides a little closer and his warm, rough fingers tickle that sensitive skin inside your elbow. “I just need to know what you want. I need you to spell it out for me.”
That’s when you realize that all of this has been foreplay, but where you thought he would take the lead again, he handed it directly to you.
He wants you to spell it out for him. But he isn’t stupid, he’s playing you like a fiddle. You might have all the power tonight, which you enjoy, but he’s been orchestrating the entire thing.
What you want is the singular focus in your mind right now, but there’s more buried underneath.
“I … want you.” He moves a little closer and smiles warmly, lips over teeth, but remains silent.
“I need you… James.” His eyes darken slightly and he reaches for you with that metal appendage and pulls you to him this time and drapes your legs over his thighs. His hand is resting on your knee and you are acutely aware of his proximity.
“I just truly realized it today, but I’ve been feeling something for weeks now.” He shifts you both closer and his hand moves to your thigh. You can feel the muscles jumping, trembling, quivering, waiting for more.
“I was annoyed because you were everywhere, always.” You huff as he laughs and cocks his head to the side and wets his lips with a quick dart of his tongue. “But I breathe easier when you’re around.”
He pulls you closer and wraps an arm around your shoulders and you can feel yourself melt into his embrace.
“It’s like,” you pause as his hand moves to curl around your neck to lightly massage the muscles there. “It’s like I hadn’t realized that I’ve been lost in the desert … that I need water.”
That’s when he leans in a breadth away, you can see how clear and dark blue his eyes are. The short stubble that you pray will rub you raw in places people can see and places they can’t.
“Dehydration is a bitch,” he points out and nudges his nose against yours only to pull back and look at you again.
“I need the water to save me … I need it to be real. ” This time you move closer to him, but there’s barely any room left between you two.
“This is real. I’m real,” he grips your hand and places it over his heart. “You can take what you need and give what you can. But I’m here now. This isn’t some mirage.”
It’s now or never because if you can’t make this happen now, you’ll give up or spontaneously combust.
Or leave and just never come back.
“I’d give everything to have all of you, Bucky.” There’s a split second hesitation and then his mouth descends upon yours and it’s like he’s giving you the kiss of life because surely you weren’t truly living before this.
His tongue sweeps across your lips begging for entrance and when you open for him he devours you and you groan in delight and surprise. You can admit now that you had dreamed of this and naturally it’s better than you imagined.
He’s warm and firm, spicy from dinner and something that you suspect is strictly just him. The hand on your thigh has moved up your ribcage and is dancing up and down when you squeak into his mouth.
When he pulls away, you give him an impish grin. “I’m a little ticklish.” He smiles and proceeds to dig his fingers into your side until you’re laughing and screaming in delight.
“Is that your real laugh? I’ve never heard it before,” he says, grinning, and dips in for nips at your lips, cheeks, chin. “I like it.”
When you smile it makes your cheeks hurt. You realize that ever since you came back, you’ve been holding back those smiles, not giving them your all -  except for this one. It’s full tilt and explosive and maybe a little manic, so your lips find his earlobe and when he shudders under your ministrations you feel it in your core.
He shifts you so you’re straddling his thighs and he’s so thick you can feel the fabric of your jeans straining against the stretch. There are no pretenses anymore. His hands are under your shirt, his thumbs flick over your hardened nipples. You’re trying desperately to garner any friction between the two of you, but the denim you both wear makes it difficult.
You focus on his lips, his tongue, his hands, on the way he makes you feel; his touch is soft but fevered enough that you know he wants you. He’s tempering his movements for some reason. Maybe he’s worried you’ll be scared or intimidated.
In one swift motion, you pull off your shirt and unclasp your bra. You need his hands on your skin to feel the contrast between cool and warm, the polished and the rough.
You want his lips on you and just as you look down at him he growls lowly in his throat and attacks. He grasps you by the back of the head crashes your mouth to his, teeth clanking and noses bumping. Chapped lips meeting, caressing. His stubble marking your chin and cheeks.  Tongues sliding wet and hot over each other, trying to claim every bit of real estate possible.
Your hands are tangled in his hair and as you tug lightly he moans into your mouth and immediately kisses a trail down to your breasts. He licks and nips and sucks until you’re moaning and keening and grinding into him.
“I need you.” You speak at the same time and the look shared between you two is soft and reverent.
When he stands up from the couch with you wrapped around his hips, it’s not just sexy; it makes you feel safe and secure in a way you’ve never felt. When he kicks open the bedroom door, it’s with great satisfaction that the room is clean and orderly.
He drops you softly on the bed and all but rips his long sleeve shirt from his torso while you lay there, propped up on your elbows just watching. It isn’t until he reaches for his belt that you spring into action.
When you reach out with slightly trembling hands, he stills and looks at you questioningly. You offer him a smile because while you are nervous, it’s the good kind.
You slide the leather through the buckle and undo the button fly and slide the jeans down to reveal nothing between the rough cotton and the already ready and willing member inside. You look up at him with a cocked eyebrow.
“What? I don’t even own underwear.”
You smirk and let him step out before running your hands up and down his bare thighs. His legs are spread shoulders width apart and he looks down at you. He’s breathing heavily and you understand the feeling. When your hands find him, he sucks in a breath and the muscles in his stomach clench.
You aren’t shy; this is one of your favorite things to do. You delicately lick the head to spread his own moisture and mix it on your tongue. He gasps and his hands grip your shoulders as your mouth sinks down onto him.
You find and set a pace that works using tongue and a little bit of teeth. Your mouth sucking, slurping, and rolling his balls in one hand. When you bottom out and he hits the back of your throat with little resistance from you, he groans from low in his gut and you can feel it reverberate in his body.
The hands that had been gripping your shoulders reach under and hoist you up and off of him and he flings you back into the middle of the bed.
On all fours, he stalks towards you, like a hunter after his prey.
He reaches for your jeans and rips them off. You’re shocked. You figured something like that might hurt, but even though every nerve ending is firing, you felt nothing.
“Those are pretty,” he murmurs and you glance down at the lace panties you’re wearing. You shrug.
“I have plenty more.”
He grins and rips those from your body too.
You’re both exposed to each other, naked and wanting. The air already lingers with the smell of arousal.
He doesn’t waste any time and crawls between your thighs and spreads your legs before him and sighs contentedly.
“I’ve heard plenty of guys say a pussy is a beautiful thing, but I never got it ‘til now, sweets.” You’re laughing at the absurdity of his remark as he takes a long swipe, top to bottom and the laughter dies on your lips.
Immediately your hands are fisted in the sheets, in his hair, clawing at his shoulders and back. His languid movements might be the death of you.
Not a bad way to go, all in all.
He’s humming against your nub when he inserts two cold fingers and the contrast between your hot center and his cold metal fingers makes you cum instantly.
You cry out and buck up and see him grin as his eyes meet yours but he won’t remove his mouth or his fingers from you. As you come back down, he adds a third finger and the second climax builds instantly again.
You can’t catch your breath.
He has you anchored to the bed with one arm wrapped around a leg and the other arm bringing you to a third, albeit slower orgasm.
When you come down from that, you can only see stars and the curtain of his hair as he leans over you.
“You hangin’ in there, sweets?” He leans in to kiss you and you can feel the stickiness in his stubble and on his tongue.
You nod and feel the immense relief of knowing that he wants to make sure you’re still with him.
And you are.
It’s all been leading up to this, you finally realize it. Circling around each other, setting it all up. He’s ingrained himself in your life and now you’ve let him into your personal space.
You’re both caressing each other waiting for your heart to slow, waiting for just the right moment.
Because while it isn’t a game at all, sex and all that goes along with it never should be, this has been. It’s not cat and mouse though, it’s more like chess. Strategically testing the waters with each other over the last couple of months, delving in and learning new things.
He’s like Bobby fucking Fischer as he settles his body between your legs and leans over you.
He’s set his queen right where he wants her.
As he lines up his head with your entrance, gathering the wetness that lingers there and teasing you all the while. He’s taking too long, far too long. So, you wrap your legs around his hips and pull him to you and when he slides in, you never felt more perfect and full.
You give a small laugh at the surprised expression on his face and he leans down to kiss you.
“I want to be with you all night,” he breathes, as his lips drag across your collarbone and you clench around him. “We have all night, sweets.”
He pulls back and pumps back into you slowly, tortuously. You whine already, knowing full well that he can and will prolong this as much as possible. As he keeps up the arduous pace, your hands make trails up and down his biceps and back. Your fingers delicately trace the white and pink scars at his shoulder.
His elbows cage your head, your legs still locked around his hips, but when you reach up and pepper gentle kisses to that left side. He slows even further.
“You … you don’t have to …” His voice cracks but he hasn’t stilled his movements.
“We have all night,” you parrot back to him. “I want my lips on every inch of you.”
There’s a gleam in his eyes and by a trick of the light you think it might be tears, but it’s gone before you can question him.  He slides an arm under your back and begins to pick up his pace, pulling your hips to his to meet every thrust.
The mingled sounds of skin on skin and your ragged breaths fill the quiet room until you shove gently at him and he pulls out of you and you move him to his back and you climb on. He twines his fingers with yours and supports your weight as you situate yourself and slide down.
There’s a slight pain there as you adjust but he gives you a moment, softly kneading your breasts and smiling like a cat that caught the canary.
As you begin to move he holds your hips softly, gently as you work him up and down, over and over. You have all night, there’s no need to rush. No need to move at a frantic pace. He reaches up and wraps his hands in your hair and pulls you down to catch your lips in a kiss. You’re still moving and the grinding sensation of your clit on his pelvic bone is speeding up this next orgasm.
He bucks his hips up to meet yours and when the dam breaks you moan into his mouth while he latches onto a hardened nipple.
You lay on top of him for a moment before he pulls you away and brushes the hair out of your face. You smile weakly at him.
“I might need a little break,” you mutter as you try to stifle a yawn. “If we really do have all night.”
He laughs and smacks you lightly on the ass and pulls you off of him and tucks you into his side.
“We have all the time in the world, sweets.”

The majority of the time, we concentrate our attention on the use of carbohydrates, fats, and carbohydrates concerning weight management.
There's another vital element in this dietary plan, and that's fiber. Foods rich in fiber are highly regarded for their ability to promote healthy cardiovascular functions. Jaebum AU Series
one / two / three / four / five / seven / eight
Tumblr media
pairing: im jaebum x reader genre: drama, romance, angst plot: you are getting bullied and Jaebum decides to help you. a/n: the first story i ever started on this blog, and i think my most fav too. I love this chap even though I want extra on the writing, but i hope y’all like it!
Life is unpredictable, considering how predictable it truly is. Everything follows a pattern of repetition, one thing follows after another, time and time again. It gets boring, tiring and everyone just simply starts to live; no one is alive anymore. Everyone is stuck in a constant cycle of every day; looking back you can’t even differentiate last Wednesday with Thursday. It all becomes a bleak sheet of faded caramel, ageing with us and our dying memories.
But sometimes, life gives you a curve ball one in a few mundane moments; to really spice up things.
A few weeks ago, you were lying on your bed staring at the empty ceiling and wishing for someone else’s company. At that point, you would have anyone, but deep inside you, you wanted Jaebum next to you.
You wanted his presence in the same room as you, both existing happily, together. You wanted to watch a movie with him, snuggled up beside him as you both drank hot chocolate on a cold winters night. You wanted to hear his breathing lull you to sleep, and wake up next to his warmth.
It all seemed like nothing, but to a girl who felt nothing but loneliness, guilt and sadness, your affection for Jaebum seemed to be the only thing that kept your heart beating.
If you stumbled into a psychic who told you, you’d be in Jaebum’s kitchen cooking him soft tofu stew, you would have nodded, and then walked away with the hope that it becomes true. Even though you are supposed to laugh at the impossible possibility of it happening, you would’ve walked away with a glimmer of hope, wishing for it to be true.
However, you didn’t stumble across a psychic and no one told you that you’d be standing in Jaebum’s apartment. You would have never guessed you’d be standing in his black slippers, standing over the stove watching the warm spicy soup bubbling.
Behind you, you could hear Jaebum chasing after Tuesday who was running away from him.
“Yah, Tee!” Jaebum grumbled, adorably, as he chased after him around the sofa, his arms in front of him. “You’re a cat, be lazy and judgemental and let me love you.”
You turned around to find Tuesday finally in Jaebum’s arms. He snuggled closer to his chest, as Jaebum gently rubbed his grey ears. Tuesday purred in Jaebum’s arm in complete bliss, making Jaebum smile with so much warmth that you couldn’t look away.
“See, buddy,” he softly murmured to Tuesday, as he looked at him adoringly. “Letting me love you isn’t bad, I’m a good dad.”
You stared at the dark haired boy, as your heart leapt in your chest.
This was Im Jaebum, the same bad boy that girls drooled over and guys fussed over. The entire school knew him as a cold-hearted, hot-headed guy who did as he pleased. He didn’t care about what other’s thought of him. Maybe because he didn’t have any friends, you wondered.
But his missing list of friends could easily be replaced with his list of ex-girlfriends. There weren’t many, but it was enough to show anyone that Im Jaebum never fell in love. He went out with girls for less than a month, and yet still managed to leave them heartbroken. Some of them continued to flock around him, hoping for a second a chance.
You had wished a million times that you were one of them; you knew given the chance you could make him love you. Despite, the fact that that's what all of those girls believed too, you somehow felt as if you were destined to be together. You had felt it the first the day he walked into class in the middle of the third period. All the girls were gushing over him, and the boys sat up straighter, you, you couldn’t breathe.
You felt completely taken by him, as superficial as it sounds you at first liked him for his looks. He was undeniably the most attractive guy you had ever laid your eyes on. Everything about him enticed you, as silly as it sounds Jaebum was the reason you were alive.
There were many times you thought of ending this and getting out of this cycle of guilt, but then Jaebum’s eyes would land on you. Even for the split-second that his beautiful brown eyes met yours, you felt the guilt lessen, and will to live another day.
Your heart warmed to a soft glowing yellow, humming like the early morning sunshine of a winter inside your chest.
Jaebum was magical, beautiful and everything you believed to be a fantom of the world. Every doubt of happiness and beauty cleared away the moment you looked at Jaebum.
His dark hair falling over his forehead, brushing slightly beneath his eyebrows, making him continuously sway his head to the side to brush it away. His eyes that warmed the darkest parts of your heart with the faintest streaks of golden amber that lived in them. His lips that curled into the softest smiles, taking your breath away. His voice like melted honey getting your drunk of its sweetest; everything about Jaebum left you slightly hazy and intoxicated.
As he stood there his long rigidity fingertips gently brushing Tuesday’s grey fur, you couldn’t help but sigh at his beauty.
Im Jaebum was perfect.
He was breathtaking and beautiful and made you cry in the middle of the night cause he could never be yours.
Jaebum smiled brighter, his pouting lips turning into a grin as he felt Tuesday’s weight in his arms. He was happy as the cat who barely showed any love and attention to its owner, snuggled to him, letting Jaebum pamper him.
Jaebum’s eyes crinkled at the corners, almost disappearing when they looked up to meet yours. You stared him, wondrously, how can a man like him exist?
Moreover, how can people think of this adorable little muffin as a sex god and bad boy, when he was truly just a fluffy cloud of marshmallow. How had you ever found his warm brown eyes intimidating when they were so light, playful and full of joy?
You hadn’t realised you were blatantly staring at Jaebum until his happy grin faded into a confused twist. His eyes staring back intrigued by why you were looking at him like that.
Your cheeks flushed pink when he caught your eyes. The flame burned brighter when his pink lips dissolved into a playful smirk.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” He asked, his voice gentle enough not to scare Tuesday, but still humoured and demanding.
Your eyes widened, as you stumbled over your words trying to find a reason that made you seem less of a crazy fangirl than you truly were. How do you tell him you were so awestruck by his beauty that you couldn’t look away?
How do you tell him that every time you saw him, you saw a happily ever after and a horrible reminder of your heartbreaking at once?
How do you explain to him, that all of this seems fake? His kindness, care towards you seemed like a game to you, because you felt, no, you knew, that you weren’t deserving of such treatment?
How does one say that without sounding completely insane?
So, instead, you said the only thing a sane human would say.
“Huh?”
Jaebum looked at you expectantly, before letting out a little chuckle. Tuesday turned in his arms to stare at the angelic face of Jaebum laughing. However, unlike you, Tuesday glared at his owner’s happiness before grudgingly hopping of his arms.
Jaebum seemed unfazed by Tuesday, walking towards you instead with a lingering smile that made your heart swell.
“Were you doing that thing where you’re not really looking at the person and thinking about something else, but your eyes are just staring into I happen to occupy?” He asked, standing in front of you.
Your eyes skitted around the surroundings, trying to find an escape, before you said, “Yes, precisely that.”
Jaebum seemed to find that adorable, or cute, or just simply pitiful because he brushed the top of your head. It seemed like his habit, to ruffle your hair whenever you did something that was otherwise considered slightly socially awkward.
“How’s the food coming along?” Jaebum asked, looking over your shoulder expectantly. “I don’t want to have ramen after waiting so long.”
You turned towards the stove, not before throwing an excited grin towards Jaebum.
“It should be done by now,” you lifted the lid, hiding the pot with your body as Jaebum attempted to steal a glance. “Can you please set the table?”
Jaebum nodded, his lips set in a tight line to hide all emotion. However, as his body happily hopped with every step, you could tell how excited Jaebum was about eating your food.
“How long have you been eating ramen for?” You asked as you added the spring onions.
“All my life,” Jaebum chuckled, making you roll your eyes.
“I mean, how long have you started living off them?”
“Since two years ago,” Jaebum answered his words light, but a heaviness in his voice. You tried to ignore it, the sadness in his voice, instead you concentrated on the time stamp, and shivered with guilt.
You shook your head and planted a weak smile as you lifted the pot and walked towards Jaebum. You sat the pot on the wooden coffee-table that doubled up as a dinner table.
“That can’t possibly be healthy,” you murmured, as you settled in front him.
Jaebum sat a bowl of rice in front of you, making you look up at him in surprise.
“And so isn’t skipping meals,” he told you with a stern look. You smiled to hide the panic of getting caught, and the choking warmth that spread in your chest at the fact that he noticed and acted so kindly. “Eat with me, y/n. I’m tired of eating alone.”
You removed your eyes from Jaebum’s sad and pleading ones, settling your gaze on the dark deep groves of the table instead.
You nodded, timidly, before settling on your knees, and lifting the lid, making Jaebum gasp.
“Wow,” he said in awe, as he peered at you for a second, before eyeing the dish hungrily. “I could smell it, but it looks like its going to be delicious.”
“Try it,” you told him, meekly. Jaebum didn’t hesitate, as he lifted his spoon and brought it to his lips.
His eyes widened as he looked at the dish in wonder, before taking another mouthful.
“This is,” Jaebum choked, as his nose turned red. He looked down shaking his head, before looking at the ceiling. Finally, his eyes met yours and your breath caught got in your throat when you saw the tinge of red in his eyes.
He was about to cry after tasting your food.
“This is delicious, y/n,” Jaebum said, before digging in. A tear fell down his cheek before another did. He stuffed his mouth with the food to drown his sob. “It tastes so good.”
“Have some more,” you pushed the dish towards him, before beginning to eat yourself. You both didn’t talk through the rest of the dinner.
The comfortable silence was filled with slurping and irregular but frequent sniffs of Jaebum. It was nice, even though one of yous was crying, it was nice.
It felt good to finally eat with someone, but you bit your tears back. You didn’t cry because it was Jaebum’s turn to shine.
Jaebum handed you the last bowl, as you dried it and placed it on the drying rack.
The two of you hadn’t talked much since the start of dinner; only a few words to sort out the cleaning out duty. Thinking of it, you both didn’t really talk much, it was always just words, and sudden confessions. You both never had a normal conversation, whatever that was.
You were both, people of a few words, and yet you both seemed completely comfortable, and understanding of one another. You liked it, like this; you wouldn’t have it any other way.
You felt Tuesday come beside you and rub himself against your leg.
You chuckled drying your hand, before bending down to pet him.
“It’s unfair how he’s always so loving to you, but I have to beg for it,” Jaebum frowned pouting, as he dried his hands, before bending down beside you.
You smiled, feeling your cheeks get warmer at Jaebum’s words and presence next to you.
His hands ran over Tuesday, and you followed his large hands. You noticed the rings on his fingers, and the cleanliness of his nails, even though it looked a bit bitten. You took in the slight crookedness of his fingers and how thick and long they were.
Out of nowhere, a thought hit you, those fingers would feel so good inside you.
Your cheeks flamed brighter, as your hands twitched slightly, scaring Tuesday, causing him to run away. You lost your balance and reached for something to hold you steady.
Your fingers gripped the front of Jaebum’s shirt, as his hands automatically settled behind your head to cushion your fall. Jaebum’s weight falls on top of you, as you both groaned in slight complaint.
“Are you okay?” Jaebum asked, his face so close to you, you could really see that his eyes truly did hold those streaks of flaming amber, you had always thought they did.
Tuesday let out a scowl from somewhere in the apartment, making you snap out of your little trance.
You cleared your throat, nodding, as your eyes looked everywhere but at Jaebum, as his heated gaze remained on your face.
“I’m okay,” you said, as you flattened your fisted hands on his front, letting him know you were ready to get up.
Jaebum cleared his throat, getting up as he offered you a hand. You decided against it, not wanting his touch on you, especially when you were feeling so... sensitive.
“I think I should go now,” you said, looking for a clock. You finally found one, causing your eyes to widen in surprise. “I think I should really go. It’s ten, I have clearly overstayed.”
Jaebum let out something inaudible behind you, as you frantically grabbed for things.
“I’ll walk you home,” Jaebum told you, putting on his shoes, as you tied your laces.
“I don’t live far,” you told him, but he thought you were understating.
However, once you walked down a level of the building, and turned to the fourth door, putting in the passcode the look on Jaebum’s face was hilarious.
“You weren’t shitting when you said you didn’t live far,” he nodded, gulping, his hands in his pockets.
You shrugged before giving him a plain smile.
“I live directly beneath you,” you added, your breath puffing out white in front of you in the winter night.
“You should go now, it’s cold tonight.” Jaebum nodded, before slowly closing the door for you, waiting for the final ring of the closing to sound.
You opened the door, just as he was about to turn the corner, and shot your head out.
“Text me when you get home,” you told him, before quickly closing the door.
Jaebum waited for the faint ring once again before walking off.
I’m home.
Your phone buzzed after a minute making you relax.
You showered and settled into bed, before letting out a sigh as you reflected on the day. It was a long, tiring day; like a rollercoaster, unpredictable. But just like every ride, after it finishes, you think back to it with a racing heart and happiness.
It amazed you how much the day had changed simply because Im Jaebum was there.
You sighed before staring at your plain ceiling. You closed your eyes, trying to sleep when your phone buzzed by your head.
Thank you for the food. it was the best I’ve had in a long time.
Good night, y/n. Sweet dreams.
You bit your lip, as the familiar warmth spread through your chest.
You too, Jaebum. Good night.
You replied after ten minutes of pondering.

Parisian Holiday, Part I || Bretanor
Parker: Brett kisses Conor’s cheek.
Conor: Conor keeps his face smooshed against Brett's mouth when he tries to move away.
Parker: More kisses! An attack of kisses!
Conor: Conor turns his face to bite Brett's cheek.
Parker: "Be nice now."
Conor: 'Or what?'
Parker: "I'll wear a bright pink shirt to dinner."
Conor: Conor's expression was one of bewilderment. 'Do you even own one?'
Parker: "No, but I can get one probably."
Conor: He dramatically rolled his eyes.
Parker: Brett laughed.
Conor: That made his partner smile. 'Why don't you dye your hair pink instead? I bet you'd look beautiful.'
Parker: "Can't dye my hair. Rules from my boss."
Conor: Interesting... Hands rose. Fingers moved through Brett's hair slowly, feeling the strands and imagining him with different hairstyles.
'I'd be more inclined to trust a policeman with pink hair.'
Parker: He smiled. "Maybe the next time I take time off I can use some temporary die."
Conor: Conor nodded and kissed his cheek. 'And Flower can dye his, too.'
Parker: "What color for him?"
Conor: Hmmm... 'A pastel blue?'
Parker: "Perfect. Pink for me, blue for him. What will your new color be?"
Conor: 'What do you want it to be?'
Parker: "I'm really biased toward gray. Lavender would look good too."
Conor: 'Half and half?' it wouldn't be the first time, 'or grey with lavendar tips.'
Parker: "I love it. It'll look amazing on you."
Conor: He chuckled silently and lifted to place himself in Brett's lap. It was, of course, incredibly comfortable and very much one of his favourite places to be.
Parker: Brett hummed contentedly, gathering Conor close and kissing his hair.
Conor: The hybrid smiled and wrapped arms around Brett's neck, kissing his temple idly.
Parker: If he smiled any wider his face would hurt. "Hi," he whispered, nuzzling that beautiful face.
Conor: He sighed against Brett's warm skin, offering kisses to his neck. Fingertips search over the ghoul's chest, feeling for his pulse behind ribs.
Parker: Another soft hum met the kisses. This man meant so much to him. It felt like a kind of miracle sometimes, going from being tense and stiff around each other to having Conor cuddled in his lap, where Brett firmly believed he belonged. Him and Botan both.
"Whatcha looking for?"
Conor: Tap, tap, to Brett's heart. 'That which is mine.'
Parker: And just like that, Brett melted. He would've swooned if he wasn't seated.
He pulled Conor into a kiss.
Bo: Bo glanced to his phone and back to the frosted window. He checked again just seconds later. Nothing. He sighed and shut his book. The library felt like a freezer today; he couldn't concentrate. He might as well go home.
{Text: Petal & Flame} I'm on my way home.
His phone chimed the soft beginnings of Ode to Joy; an unknown number.
"Hallo."
"Botan?"
The phone was lowered, the screen looked over once more. Torsten Glockner, but -
"What do you want?"
"Are you sitting down?"
His books were stacked neatly and gathered in his arms. "No. What do you want?"
"...I have a lot to explain to you..."
Conor: Perfect, that's exactly what he wanted. He allowed himself a few moments of enjoying the delicious bliss he always found on the other end of Brett's lips. When he slowly pulled away, it was to the sound of his phone. He pulled up the message and turned it to Brett.
Parker: Brett smiled against Conor's lips, chasing them until they were out of reach.
"That'll be Botan," he said when he heard both their phones go off in tandem, smiling again when the message confirmed it.
"Let's go meet him." One more kiss. "Peabody isn't here yet. I can carry you to the car if you want. No one will see."
Conor: ... Eh?! 'Carry me? Why would you carry me? Unless that's another extremely "unique" American colloquialism?'
Parker: Brett laughed softly. "Nope, not a colloquialism. As for why, I'm not ready to let you go yet." Have another kiss.
Conor: A silent laugh, so much affection! Conor shook his head. 'You are ridiculous. Just hold my hand!'
Parker: "I am and you love me," he said with a grin. "Done. I'm going to hold it the whole way home."
Conor: Hmf. Conor stood, getting his hand comfortable in Brett's. He gave him a thumbs up and a little bashful smile.
Parker: Brett smiled back. He gathered his things and led Conor out to the car. “You have a beautiful smile, did you know that?”
Conor: And just like that, the smile was gone! Swapped for a glare.
Parker: "Aww, don't give me the face. You do! I love your smile. And you. A lot."
Conor: He shakes his head.
Parker: "No to the beautiful smile? Should it be my secret?"
Conor: His free hand poked Brett's cheek. Shush, you.
Parker: A secret it would be. He turned to kiss Conor's hand.
Conor: And in return, he kissed Bett's palm.
Parker: Brett's smile returned tenfold. "Come on, let's go home to our Botan."
Conor: Yes! The hybrid nodded. He missed his Flower, so he couldn't get to him fast enough.
Parker: Conor's hand was only released briefly when getting into the car and sending a quick text to Bo.
{Text} We're on our way!
The drive back home was short and uneventful, filled with random affection given to Conor at every opportunity.
"Home sweet home," he said a few minutes later as he pulled into the driveway.
Bo: The house was both quiet and empty. Their human had left no sign of having been there.
Conor: The giddy happiness which had filled him during the journey quickly vanished as he looked around.
Soon he was pacing towards Brett, 'Has he responded to you?' Signed, before bringing out his phone.
Parker: Brett's brow furrowed as he looked around the living room and the kitchen. "He said he was coming home, right? We didn't imagine that." He pulled his phone out, checked for notifications.
"Nothing," he said, shaking his head. "Weird. Should we call?"
Conor: Conor nodded. Eyes turn black as he stares at the ghoul.
'How long since we heard from him?'
Parker: Brett hit 'call' and put it on speaker. "The text he sent us just before we left the station. It said he was on his way home."
Bo: There would be no answer. He was not switched straight to voicemail, either. Bo had stared for some time, but couldn't muster the energy to do more than that.
He knew he needed to do something.
He forced himself to type.
{Text: Brett} I'll be home.
Conor: When there was no reply Conor was more than ready to find him, track him, teleport to him. He was ready to throw himself into whatever Bo had found himself in... when a text came. From Bo.
Exhaling, eyes return to normal.
Parker: Brett had been ready to panic when Bo didn't pick up, already feeling anxiety and stress start to well up and raise his body temperature, but the incoming text managed to hold it off.
He heaved a relieved sigh. "Thank god."
Conor: 'Should we start cooking something so that it's ready for his arrival?'
Parker: He nodded, managing a smile. "Yes, let's. What should we make?"
Conor: 'What do you think Flower wants to eat?'
Parker: "It's been really cold this week. How about some soup?"
Conor: 'What kind of soup?'
Parker: "I got some barley at the market yesterday. We could make vegetable and barley, throw some vegan chicken in."
Conor: 'Why does it need vegan chicken? Just leave it out. If you want to eat chicken so much just eat chicken.'
Parker: Brett chuckled softly. "Vegetable and barley it is. Vegan chicken is good. Especially in pasta." He opened the fridge. "Creamy broth or regular broth?"
Conor: 'Just eat chicken!' God, the modern generation is full of weird people. 'Creamy.'
Parker: "Creamy it is. Let's see....we have potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, celery, corn, sweet potatoes, leeks, beets. What's going in the soup?"
Conor: He cringed, 'Not mushrooms, not sweet potatoes, not beets. We can do something nice a thick with potatoes, some boiled carrots and... do we have any spring onion? Leeks can go in, too.'
Parker: Brett couldn't help but laugh at the expression on Conor's face, or kissing it.
"We do have spring onion." He grabbed those, the leeks, potatoes, and carrots.
Conor: Ridiculous! He smiled. 'Are you going to be my sous-chef?'
Parker: "Yep. What would like me to do?"
Conor: He tapped his chin a few times in thought. 'Two more kisses please, sous-chef!'
Parker: Brett grinned. "Yes, chef." Two lingering kisses were given.
Conor: Hands place on his hips and bring him nearer. More?
Parker: Always. Conor could have all the kisses his heart desired.
Conor: Perfect! He pulls away once he can bring himself to and starts to prepare to cook.
Bo: It would be some thirty minutes into their cooking that the front door would gently open, quietly closed. Footsteps pattered towards the hallway and the converted guest bedroom.
Parker: The door opened so quietly that if Brett hadn't been listening for it like a hawk, he wouldn't have heard it. There was definitely no mistaking those footsteps, though. He would recognize them from miles away.
"Botan?" he called.
Conor: Conor looked up curiously, allowing Brett to call out to his Flower while he sets the table.
Bo: The bedroom door creaked open. Hesitation in the doorway.
I'm fine, he wanted to lie, but he couldn't muster the energy to speak.
Parker: Brett looked from Conor to the doorway of the kitchen. The silence was too long.
He went to find his boyfriend. "Botan?" he tried again, more gently.
Conor: A plate was released and he moved forward to stand beside Brett, taking his hand. Concern coated his face.
Bo: Look at them, he thought the moment they came into view. So beautiful.
His dark gaze dropped to the floor.
Parker: "Baby?" Brett squeezed Conor's hand and took them closer, reaching out for Bo's. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Conor: He walked with the other, automatically searching Bo's body for any injuries. In case.
Bo: Bo turned his body towards them. He leaned his weight into the one place he could trust, just between them, resting his cheek on Brett Parker's shoulder, and a weak hand clinging to Conor's shirt.
Parker: He was immediately held with his free arm and nuzzled, his hair kissed. Whatever had happened, he was safe with him and Conor.
Conor: Oh. Oh no. Conor's free hand covered Bo's. He leaned over to kiss his temple. He didn't like seeing the human like this. He didn't want him to have to endure whatever was going on in his head. He would silently offer affection to show him that he's not alone.
Bo: The chant continued. Look at these patient men, these beautiful men, these reasons for striving...
How he could begin to explain his evening he just could not - but he had to.
He forced himself away, just enough to use his hands.
He slowly began to sign. 'I got a phone call...from T O R S T E N. He's in Iceland. He knows why everything happened to me.'
Parker: Brett would continue to hold Bo for as long as he needed, patiently letting the silence stretch. Bo would speak when he was ready.
Or sign as the case may be.
"Torsten? Oh. ......Oh. What did he say? How did he find out?"
Conor: Conor released both of their hands, watching Bo carefully with confusion clear on his face.
'I don't understand, who is T O R S T E N? What is 'everything'?"
Bo: 'You've seen glimpses in my dreams. I think. Why my tongue was ripped out. The man that-' He took a deep breath. His cheeks began to pink.
Parker: Brett took Bo's hand and squeezed. "He told you who did that to you? And why?"
Bo: His hands became furious. 'I don't know how to explain my life to you. My life. My life was so much of a threat so some -' "dust laden...shrew! My life - Again and again it's proven to me why I turned my back on my family. To think I was groomed to be one of those fucking-" Deep breath. Deep breath.
Parker: Yes, deep breath. Nice and slow and steady while Brett's blood roared in his ears.
"Your family was grooming you to be a vampire? Is that why?"
Conor: Conor was having a little trouble following, he was a little slow in reacting, he wasn't doing a good job of processing.
'Why did they do that?' hm. 'Was your uncle part of it?' the very uncle he had a bad feeling about.
Bo: "That doesn't matter. That's in my book. It's not -" His anger was too scattered.
His face was slowly rubbed.
"I don't know where to begin."
Parker: "Deep breath," said Brett, trying his best to make his voice sound calm and soothing. Anger from him would not help Botan.
"I'll put on the kettle and we can have some tea while we finish getting dinner ready."
Bo: Anger would only be replied to with anger. Brett knew, and he was aware of his gentleness. His blind, quiet rage wanted to crush him. His logic made a point to force it down.
"I'm...going to change clothes."
Parker: Brett nodded, taking a deep breath himself before smiling. "Okay, baby. We'll go put the kettle on and finish dinner. We made soup. Barley and vegetable. And we have bread and butter."
Conor: Conor nodded to Bo before returning to the kitchen to prepare food for him. Hopefully something warm will... somehow help.
Idly, he rubbed Brett's back while waiting for the kettle to boil. Don't worry too much, the touch said. It will be okay.
Bo: He just wanted to hide in his room. He wanted to sleep the rest of his life away. A bit dramatic, he frowned at himself in the mirror. It was pointless, but nevertheless...
He slipped into one of his white sweaters and smoothed his chest. He needed to explain himself. Otherwise, he would implode with pain. There was no simple way to explain, he feared. He would have to start at the beginning and work his way to thirty minutes ago.
Quietly, he headed into the kitchen.
Parker: He sighed, turning to press a kiss to Conor's temple. He couldn't help but worry. Nothing about Bo's family inspired calm or confidence, even before today and Bo's enraged revelation. But just let any of them try to harm a single hair on his head; they'd find hell raining down on them.
Bo's approaching footsteps had him looking over and smiling. "Hey, baby. What kind of tea would you like?"
Conor: A chair was pulled out for his beloved. 'Come sit down.'
Bo: '...Thank you.' The offered seat was taken, arms folded on the table.
Parker: Brett brought Bo's favorite mug along with the sugar. "Want some lemon?"
Bo: The sign for thank you followed his quiet nod. He offered his hand to Conor.
Parker: He filled Bo's mug and went to slice a lemon for him, placing it on a plate and bringing it to the table before getting plates for dinner. Keeping his hands occupied was helping settle his mind.
Conor: The hand would be taken without hesitation. Held, kissed, nuzzled. Bo could speak freely while Conor doted.
Bo: Bo was enjoying Conor's touch too much to bother with talk. Still so heavily drained. He would wait for Brett to sit, which he knew would take time.
Parker: Bo knew him well. Brett set the table and served dinner with almost painstaking care, making sure both he and Conor has absolutely everything they needed before he finally sat.
Conor: 'Thank you' was mouthed, as his free hand had also found its way to Bo's arm, to trace fingertips back and forth against him.
Bo: Slowly, his hands rose. Conor would be allowed to hold him all he wished, but still, he needed to speak.
'I don't think I'll have ever said as much as I'm about to...'
Parker: Brett pushed down the dread in his stomach and offered Bo a gentle, reassuring smile. “Take all the time you need, baby.”
Conor: Conor's hands fell into his lap. The hybrid would observe and wait patiently.
Bo: He would begin with clarification. He turned his full attention to Conor. ‘You know who Torsten is. The man that…raped me, and wears the collar enchanted by blood magic.’ It had been easier to sign certain words rather than utter them. Now that such a sordid recount was out of the way, he felt brave enough to speak.
“He and I were friends…of sorts before my curse. We met after I offered my family to the Arcanum as bargain for my sanctuary. When I was finally free. From what was explained to me months ago, I’d grown close to his family. His sisters, Flora and Fauna. I’d grown too close. His sister Flora, long in her years as a vampire, desperately wanted to be human again. I’d promised to help. Quietly, Fauna was furious with me. She secretly confessed my association to the chapter house I frequented. The rest…you know.”
He’d tried to explain everything as concisely as possible. It felt so empty. His eyes were too exhausted to rise further than the table.
Parker: Brett clenched his jaw hard enough to hurt his teeth, but that would be the only outward sign of his anger. He remained silent as Bo recounted what Torsten Glockner had done and explained his association with his family. How could that woman do that to him simply because he’d offered to help her sister out of the darkness? Or even for getting close to their family?
Conor would have to be the one to speak first. Brett didn’t trust himself to.
Conor: Conor paid attention, monitoring Bo's movements and tone. When the story came to an end, he was still and silent. Conor's immediate instinct was that... he wasn't really surprised. A human living closely with vampires, he isn't really sure what else Bo had been expecting. The assumption should always be something terrible. At least this human got away with his life.
Parker: The silence couldn't stretch forever; one of them had to say something.
"So..." Brett begged the heavens to let him tramp down his anger, if only until he could put it into good use, into something physical.  "It was her fault. This Fauna. She was responsible for everything that happened to you." So much effort was being put into keeping his voice calm and steady. "And all because you got close to her family and wanted to help her sister become human again?"
Bo: Bo could do nothing but shrug. "I threatened her precious little bubble. She was willing to torture her brother in spite of me "
Conor: 'Why is he only telling you now? Why is he bringing this up now? Why is he-' he exhaled.
Bo: "He only told me he discovered this when home."
Parker: “That’s fucking—!” Brett took a slow deep breath. It won’t help, it’s not productive. He doesn’t need your anger.
“Did he say anything else?” Brett asked after a few moments.
Conor: His gaze shifted from Bo to Brett. A hand reached out to stroke the ghoul's arm.
'Yes. Is there anything else we should know?'
Bo: Bo shook his head and watched Brett. The ghoul was his anchor, but his rage was a sight to behold.
Parker: Brett was grateful for the touch. It was helping to ground him and tamp down the shouting match that wanted to explode out.
“Okay, baby.” He reached for Bo’s hand.
Conor: What now? Where from here?
'So we kill Fauna?'
Bo: "I want to," whispered Bo.
Conor: Smiling, eyes turn black.
Parker: “No,” Brett said softly.
Bo: "Why not?"
Parker: “Because we’re not them.”
Conor: He pouted and returned his eyes to normal.
'Yes, because we would be justified.'
Bo: "Give me the opportunity to, and I will have Torsten do it himself."
Parker: Brett shook his head. “I don’t want that man or anyone in his family anywhere near you. They don’t deserve to breathe the same air as you.”
Conor: 'They don't deserve air at all.'
Bo: Bo took a deep breath and rubbed his face. "I want Paris. I never thought I'd say this, but I just want to forget until after we return."
Parker: No, they didn’t. Not a single one of them deserved to draw breath even if they could.
Brett nodded. The subject change was welcome. “Then let’s focus on Paris. We’re going to be together and we’re going to have a beautiful Christmas. Have you finished packing?”
Conor: Conor wanted to focus on creating a plan to kill Fauna, but okay.
He leaned over, placing his head on Bo's shoulder.
Bo: And Bo placed his head on Conor's. He would be fantasizing despite what he had said - what he had said for Brett's benefit if no one else.
"I have, yes. You?" A finger circled Conor's forearm.
Parker: Brett nodded, finally trusting himself to lean over and kiss them both. “I’m going to go through the list one last time after we eat. Peabody is taking care of Woodstock.”
Conor: 'You both are aware that we're going to Paris, right? A city? Not the middle of nowhere. Anything you don't bring I'm sure we can find out there, or some non-American equivalent. Don't worry too much.'
Bo: "We'll be fine. It's Brett I'm concerned with. We don't need him getting lost in Paris."
Parker: “Being a worrier is my lot in life.” This time the smile he gave them was more genuine. “I am not going to get lost in Paris. I have a great sense of direction.”
Conor: 'And a demon partner. I can find you both anywhere.'
Bo: "I don't want you straying too far. Vampires and whatever else. Unless you want to kill one."
Parker: “I’ll stick close to home unless we’re all together, promise.”
Conor: With a silent chuckle, he shook his head. 'That applies to you too, Flower.'
Bo: The human straightened. "Me?"
Conor: 'Yes. You aren't to stray too far from us.'
Bo: "I'm not a blushing young ghoul ripe for corruption."
Parker: “I don’t blush that often.”
Conor: 'Human dangers remain the same.'
Bo: He managed a smile. "Which of us do you worry for more?"
Conor: 'You are both a terrible burden.' ah, but he's smiling.
Parker: Brett was smiling now, too, and pulling them both into a kiss in turn. "Come on, let's eat. We leave bright and early tomorrow."
Bo: He would have to manage to cast aside thoughts of murder for at least a day. This was a trip longed for, for some time. He owed Brett at least a day.
The ghoul was given a kiss to his forehead for good measure, glancing into Conor's eyes and kissing his hand. Iceland, but where? He'd been careful in his descriptions in his book. No address, no pertinent details.
He didn't realize his mind was drifting deep. He picked at his food until realizing how far ahead they were.
Conor: Conor would have to be coerced into bed. It wouldn't take much effort, since he absolutely adored snuggling with his loves, but he hadn't been on a plane in so long he wanted to plan for practically every single outcome. He simply transported wherever he needed to be. The idea of being on a plane gave him jitters which made it difficult to sleep.
Still, morning would come soon enough and he'd be up preparing breakfast, early enough that they wouldn't have to worry about being late.
Parker: Brett could sense Conor’s nerves, and attempted to comfort as best he could before a light sleep took him. There would be no profound rest until they were sitting on the plane with nothing to do but wait until Paris came into view.
Bo: Bo had slept like the dead, with dreams he would not recall of his home in Oslo, of made-up (or true) accounts forgotten the moment he opened his eyes. Despite his heavy mind, the ritual of travel was not one of his burdens. He would enjoy his window seat, away from conversation and the potential touch of a flight attendant. Conor in the middle? Spoiled by his men. His hand would be held, a head on his shoulder for the majority of the flight; a mistake Bo's neck would pay as they waited at baggage claim.
Conor: The flight was... Well, without Brett and Bo it would have a disgusting experience. He did not miss public transport at all.
The moment they stepped off the plane the familiar smell of French air hit him and took him home.
'I told you to use the neck pillow.' Conor signed, smiling at the pain it seemed like Bo was in.
'How are you feeling, Petal? Do we need to stop by anywhere before continuing?'
Parker: Brett smiled as he rolled his shoulders. “Like we were squished into a tin can for hours on end. I’m fine to head home though. I’m exhausted.” They could shop for food later.
Bo: "You were more comfortable. I had no foresight." And just as he had in the plane, he leaned himself on Conor's shoulder for comfort.
Home. Already Brett labelled the demon's apartment as such. He had to smile. "Home, then."
Conor: Conor had to notice that too, the way they both called his small apartment home. He wondered if they would feel suffocated in the space built for one. He wondered if their opinion of him would change after gaining access to this personal place.
It was too late to change his mind, so with bags in hand he went to find a taxi.
Parker: “No foresight perhaps, but I don’t imagine you have any regrets.” Being snuggled together made the flight much more bearable.
Brett didn’t anticipate feeling suffocated in the least; his house was a glorified dollhouse after all.
He gathered the rest of their things, ready to load them into the car as soon as Conor managed to flag one down. Despite his tiredness, he would marvel at the city through the window, just as amazed here as he’d been in Oslo.
Bo: Bo asked for the address in order to tell the driver, if Conor was willing to his assistance. Bo also wanted a window seat in which to stare, though not nearly as eagerly as their ghoul.
He reached and felt for Conor's hand.
Conor: The hand would be offered without a single thought after the address was spelt out.
They'd drive through the streets of Paris, past the run-down areas nobody talks about filled with damaged swings in parks, mattresses abandoned on the side of the road, buildings that were old and worn out before getting to the beautiful scenery. Greenery, wide roads, cobble pavements, cafes, people were sat outside wearing fur to fight the wind.
The Eiffel tower could be seen from where the car came to a stop in front of the door to Conor's building. Money was passed to the driver with the appropriate tip.
Parker: It looked exactly like Brett always imagined Paris would look. It was like they were driving through a photography book, or maybe a painting. The fact that the Eiffel Tower was visible from Conor’s building was the icing on the cake.
He thanked the driver and began unloading their things. “Lead the way, sweetheart,” he said without thinking. Surely Conor could let it slide this time. Brett was delightedly taking in their surroundings still.
Bo: "I feel as though I've been here before." Something akin to muscle memory of the past. Something... de ja vu. He wanted to explore. His feet needed to keep moving, but his shoulders were killing him.
Conor: Conor's gaze shifted over Bo as he helped sort the bags. 'Is that why you wanted to come here? Do you have forgotten memories of Paris?'
Bo: "I want to see your flat. Everything else is coincidental. Warsaw is going to feel the same, and Berlin and probably a dozen other cities."
Parker: Brett wanted to see it too. He was practically itching to see it, itching to have and love yet another part of Conor.
He set down the bags he was holding long enough to take both their hands and kiss each in turn.
Conor: The kiss was returned gently. 'I've already warned you that it's small. Everyone is one room. If you feel uncomfortable there is a hotel nearby.' he wouldn't feel offended, and it was stated with his expression very matter-of-factly. It was normal and to be expected that three grown men in a small apartment would feel a tad claustrophobic.
With that signed, he started to bring the bags to the lift.
Bo: Bo briefly smiled, taking his own bag and following behind. He didn't think he would mind. The flat had been featured in shared dreams. Though he couldn't remember, surely Brett would have voice his opinion if he knew it would be too claustrophobic.
"I'm starving," he muttered.
Parker: Brett gave a quick kiss to Conor’s cheek. “Small is fine. More than used to small.” If anything, it meant there would hardly be a moment when he wasn’t close to the two of them, and that thought was very appealing indeed.
“What do you want to eat, baby? We could get some groceries or go out somewhere and worry about groceries later.”
Conor: 'There won't be anything in my fridge, I think for today it will be easier to go to the cafés and restaurants that are close by. Tomorrow we can think about shopping.' he signed at his door after putting his bags down.
After unlocking the door he glanced between the two of them... hesitating... before pushing it open. Welcome to home sweet home, an apartment fit for one very lonely person who never has any guests.
Bo: Bo waited at the door between the two men, wondering what Conor was thinking to look back at them with apprehension. The aforementioned size? As the door opened, he understood. He understood but scoffed, sitting aside his luggage to stretch his arms like tired wings. When neither wrist hit wall nor furniture, he smiled. See? You're fine, Flame.
"I like the view." He wasn't looking out the window. Rather, staring at his demon.
Parker: Brett didn’t blink at the size either. It was essentially the same size as the apartment he’d had back when he was attending the police academy. Just far nicer and full of people he loved.
Brett followed Bo’s gaze and smiled. “I like it too. I love it, actually.”
Conor: The statement confused him for exactly that reason. It hadn't even felt like enough time to process the view. And... Brett...
Hm.
Oh.
The confusion and concern which had once been apparent were exchanged for a shy smile and faint blush. He'll focus on bringing the bags in and going to make the bed. At least that was king sized.

[NishiNatsu] By your side
Word count: 1800
Summary: You can always find happiness in the simple things of life.
Note: AO3 link. Written for Chocolate Box 2019!
One-shot: By your side
Here is the thing. Natsume acts like he doesn't know what hands and legs are supposed to do, like he's an infant discovering the use of limbs by flailing and making distressed noises, and that's alright because he's prone to this bout of panicking once in a while.
The other thing is that usually, Nishimura isn't the one to cause such a state.
“Hey, relax, I'm sure Touko-san and Shigeru-san won't mind! And I know for sure that my brother and my mom won't mind, either.”
Natsume opens and closes his mouth several times, eyes so focused on what to say that he looks on the verge of imploding. His cat sits at his feet and yawns, bored out of his mind as he watches a butterfly fly by, and attempts a swipe at it. Nishimura is convinced that this is the epitome of normalcy.
“It's okay if you don't want to,” Nishimura says, furrowing his brows. “We've only had sleepovers with the other guys in the past, I understand if you're not comfortable with the idea yet.”
It's not the truth but it's not wrong either, because Nishimura will never be mad about this sort of subject. He did have an outburst, once upon a time, when he was still learning what kind of person Natsume was, and trying to wrap his mind around the fact such a nice guy was despised by basically everyone he met. He knows that things have been difficult, but if he doesn't push a bit, nothing will change.
Natsume recovers abruptly, his arms falling limp against his sides, and he doesn’t quite meet Nishimura’s eyes but he tries, and that’s the most important part.
“I was just surprised by your suggestion. Sorry if I seemed too weirded out, Nishimura.”
The light comes back in these clear eyes, bright and unashamed, emanating sincerity like a perfect-fit cloak. Nishimura loves the feeling of pride he gets from that; above all, he loves how at ease Natsume is—it took some time and Nishimura sometimes fears he will retreat back into his shell, but it happens very rarely, now.
“Don’t worry, it’s alright.” He grins, and wraps an arm around Natsume’s shoulders. “I’m glad you’re okay with it.”
Natsume smiles, and Nishimura’s heart melts, again.
***
Some people would think they’re being paranoid or extremely slow, which might be true to some extent, but better be safe than sorry, right? It’s not like they can decide what to do without taking into account every factor they know, unless they wish to make mistakes they’d regret. Nishimura’s mother told him that teenagers are supposed to make mistakes, and that was how they learn life, but Nishimura thinks it’s way too painful to rely on deeds that could have been prevented and saved them a lot of grief. He doesn’t want Natsume to freak out, and from what he’s gathered (with a little bit of help since he's apparently too blind), Natsume is afraid of messing up, so that’s fifty-fifty. No big deal, if they’re on the same page. People shouldn’t meddle, anyway, so the accusations are irrelevant.
He doesn’t want to be inconsiderate, and he wants to make Natsume happy. If they need to take baby steps to do so, then Nishimura will keep this pace; seeing him smile and get flustered at the small attentions is worth everything, and Nishimura will fight anyone who tries to push them into a direction they don’t plan on following.
He takes Natsume’s hand in his, gently intertwining their fingers, holding him tight. He doesn’t look at his boyfriend’s reaction, but from the way he stiffens then immediately relaxes, it feels perfectly safe and how it should be. He doesn’t have any frame of reference regarding this kind of experience, but Nishimura is positive this is the best feeling he could have plucked from his heart.
They reach Natsume’s home, where they let the cat rush into the house probably to get snacks, while Natsume announces his arrival.
“Thank you for having me!” Nishimura says enthusiastically, removing his shoes and lining them up with Natsume’s.
Touko-san greets them with her warm smile and her bright energy, like she’s never running out of supply to make guests feel at home.
“Welcome back, Takashi-kun. Satoru-kun, please make yourself at home!”
She is so kind and so reassuring Nishimura can’t even believe she isn’t an actual angel blessing them all. He is so, so glad that Natsume lives with the Fujiwaras and found somewhere he can call a home.
“Touko-san, can I help you prepare dinner?” he asks earnestly. “I brought tomatoes from our garden!”
Touko-san looks surprised at his request, a refusal at her lips, but she casts a quick look at Natsume then at Nishimura, and her decision is made.
“That's very kind of you Satoru-kun. Takashi-kun, we are out of green onions, could you pick up some at the store? I forgot to ask you to buy it on your way home.”
Nishimura’s smile grows wider at the confusion written all over Natsume's face, and has to bite his cheeks to contain his laughter. He squeezes his shoulder and gestures towards the door.
“Don't worry, I'm not going to break anything,” he teases. “And Touko-san won't let me anyway.”
“But Nishimura—”
“It's okay, just go, we need our green onions!”
The cat chooses that moment to resurface, what looks suspiciously like anpan in his mouth, striding towards Natsume's feet and brushing against his ankles. Natsume looks down with a crease between his brows, and falls into a deep silent conversation with his pet. Nishimura can't believe that a cat manages to pull a deadpan expression while being smug, but that’s the reality he’s living—this creature has always been weird, and oddly reassuring at the most random times, but he seems to understand Natsume on a whole other level than people. Whatever communication that happened between the two pushed Natsume to agree to leave the house. He shoots a smile at Nishimura over his shoulder and promises to be quick, his cat in tow.
When the door slides closed, silence reigns for a few seconds before Touko-san chuckles. The sound doesn’t startle Nishimura, but he does turn around to stare at her, not without joy of his own.
“Takashi-kun must be thinking I want to tell you embarrassing things about him,” she says.
“I already see him embarrass himself every day, but I wouldn’t be against more information,” Nishimura laughs.
He picks up the bag of tomatoes and deposits it on the kitchen counter. Touko-san was already cutting vegetables before they arrived, while the meat is marinating. She instructs him to slice them in small pieces, which he does diligently—he has never been the best cook in the vicinity, but at least he can make good use of a knife.
They take their time. Nishimura knows that getting Natsume out of the house isn’t insignificant, especially since Touko-san is being quiet about it. So he waits for her to speak, while he pretends he’s able to focus on his task without freaking out.
“You and Atsushi-kun have been such good friends to Takashi-kun,” Touko-san whispers. “I was so relieved to see there were people willing to become his friends. You know how hard it has been for him.”
Oh he knows, he knows nothing has ever been kind to Natsume, but he wishes he knew more; not to do something about it, because he can’t, but because it would lift a bit the weight of this burden constantly crushing Natsume, even when the situation is nothing like anything he’s lived before. Nishimura wants him to know it’s alright to talk about it.
“I just wish he’d be more open about his past.” His grip around the knife tightens. “We trust him and he trusts us. And now we’re, uh, closer.”
Touko-san stops stirring the soup and turns to him, her eyes crinkling with unconcealed happiness. “Takashi-kun always needs time to adjust to something, I wouldn’t be surprised if he decides to tell you stories he never told us after a few months.”
The implicit affirmation she expected them to be together for a long time, maybe forever, makes Nishimura’s heart skip a beat and stay stuck in his throat. He averts his eyes and swallows, unable to hold Touko-san’s gentle gaze without feeling he’s drowning.
“Thank you so much for everything you’re doing for my son, Satoru-kun. I wanted to tell you that. Shigeru-san isn’t here yet, but once he returns, I’m sure he will say the same.”
She puts a hand on his arm, silently nudging him to look at her. Her infinite love for Nasume is so palpable, but it extends to everything beyond its simple form—Nishimura senses her affection for him, her wishes and expectations, and he wants to fulfill them. He wants to wrap his arms around this world of love and keep it in his pocket, to remember how lucky he is, how much it means to him.
He meets Touko-san’s gaze, lips curling upwards in a grin. “I won’t disappoint you. Thank you for trusting me with Natsume.”
Touko-san nods, and she pulls him close for a hug. Nishimura embraces her just as tightly, remembering that this is a woman who wanted to pour all her energy into a child and who finally has the chance to do so. They stay like this a moment longer before pulling away, both of them showing so much gratitude Nishimura is surprised they can’t grasp it.
“I know you’ll care for him.” Touko-san pats his arm.
“I will, don’t worry!”
Later, when Natsume comes back with the requested green onions, Touko-san greets him with an even more cheerful smile and asks him if he plans on going on any dates with Nishimura soon. Both boys flush a deep red and Natsume stammers out an answer Nishimura isn’t sure makes sense, but Touko-san laughs behind her hand and tells them they’re being cute—which, admittedly, is the case for Natsume, at least.
Natsume’s cat settles at the foot of the table, patiently waiting for his food (or so it seems), though his piercing eyes are gauging Nishimura, as lazily as they are judgmental. He doesn’t make any sounds, he’s just being his brand of strange, so Nishimura raises an eyebrow at him, even if he feels silly for starting a staring match with a cat. It doesn’t last long, though, as Nyanko-sensei breaks eye contact with a snort and decides that bothering Natsume is more entertaining. The cat is very weird, the experience was very weird, but Nishimura can’t help thinking that he just passed a test with flying colors.
Well. He can deal with cryptic cats, if it’s Natsume’s and an essential companion to the family.

Kitchen Equipment: The Right Tools
A basic cooking area needs a choice of pots and pans, some fundamental gadgets, and a collection of common spices and condiments.
Pots and Pans:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A minimum set consists of a small fry pan, a one-quart saucepan with cover, a two-quart pan with cover, a big frying pan with cover, and a big pot (for spaghetti, stew, pot roast, or homemade soup.) If you are cooking for more than a single person, get 2 each of the fry pans and pans. Covers are optional for the fry pans, but try to get a cover to fit at least one.
Good quality pans spread out the heat evenly so that food does not burn in area of the pan and stay undercooked in another. The bottom of a good pan sits flat on the range. Cheap pans wear fast and cost more in the long run. Stainless-steel pans with a porcelain finishing or a copper bottom are excellent. Keep away from aluminum pans. They get bent out of shape quickly and do not last. There have actually likewise been some health cautions about cooking in aluminum, but no real proof of any risk.
When using pans with a non-stick covering, turn the heat up only as far as is necessary, and only use wooden or plastic tools. Wipe the pan tidy in soapy water. A plastic or nylon net scrubber can be used, but never ever utilize steel wool pads. If you do not burn the food onto the pan, and you clean it while the food is still fresh and moist, it will be simple to clean. If you have birds as pets, you might wish to prevent non-stick coverings. If you utilize them, make sure not to overheat them. The finishing can launch fumes that can kill a bird.
Some other helpful tools are a slow cooker, a wok (for Chinese cooking), toaster, microwave, blender, food mill, electrical mixer, and an electrical knife. There are likewise bread machines readily available at reasonable prices that produce a fresh hot loaf of bread quickly. Most devices likewise have a delay setting to permit one to place the ingredients in the machine hours prior to the bread is needed, so the machine ends up in the nick of time for dinner.
Basic Gadgets:
Tumblr media
You will need some wooden spoons. Get a selection of sizes and handle lengths. These are constantly helpful and they will not damage your non-stick coatings. Unlike metal tools, they do not get too hot to manage.
You will also want a collection of spatulas in different sizes and shapes. The light-weight spatula that will flip an egg might not be strong enough for a hamburger. Sometimes a narrow spatula is all that will suit a pan, and sometimes a large one is needed to get under whatever needs to be turned or raised.
Whisks come in various sizes. They are really handy for mixing lightweight ingredients rapidly, and are easier to go out and later on to tidy than a blender or mixer.
Get a good set of knives. Inexpensive ones make the task of cutting harder and they wear quick. With the knives, you will require a good cutting board. A cutting board offers a flat working surface area and secures your counters. Plastic cutting boards are much easier to clean than wooden ones. Never cut veggies that will be consumed raw on a cutting board that was utilized to cut raw meat unless you thoroughly clean up the board first.
You will likewise require a selection of determining tools. Determining cups for dry ingredients and determining spoons come in sets. Get a set of each. You will require a determining cup for liquids, too. A one-cup step is most likely enough, but two-cup and quart procedures are likewise helpful. If you want to be precise in your measurements for dietary requirements, buy a food scale and determine your portions until you get used to the sizes and can estimate accurately without weighing whatever.
A lot of canned products are now being packaged with pop tops, but get a good can opener for the others. There are some electrics that cost affordable rates and do a good task, but get a manual one too. When the power goes out, it can be annoying not to be able to open the cans.
Spices and Condiments:
Tumblr media
Salt and pepper go without stating. Some dried minced onion peps up a lot of recipes. Garlic is available fresh or in dried, sliced form or as a powder. Getting Your Child To Eat Healthy - Tips And Advice That Really Work!
Tumblr media
My story: I don't have some real horror stories to tell you on this front. My son has gone through phases but on the whole was a great eater. He generally comes to the dinner table before his dad, who needs a couple of added shouts - how annoying is it when guys do this; what a fantastic role model, eh!!! Here are a few things I do on a regular basis that Appear to work for us
O I'm no nutritionist or health expert, but I believe all of us know what constitutes healthy eating. I try to be certain my child has carbohydrates, protein, calcium and vegetables and fruit everyday. Some days you may not manage everything, but so long as they have a good, balanced diet many days, they'll be healthy.
O Remember that there are lots of distinct ways for your kids to meet their nutritional needs, so if they don't like one particular sort of food, try another with comparable nutritional value. Do try to change the foods just as much as your little one will make it possible for you. Here are a few hints:
O Protein: red meat, fish, poultry, cheese, eggs
O Carbohydrates - potatoes, bread, pasta o Calcium: milk, yoghurts, cheese, eggs o Fruit: bananas, apples, oranges, kiwi fruit, pineapples, fruit juice o Vegetables: carrots, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, peppers § My little boy is far keener on veggies than he's on fruit. I think this is OK as he's still getting his nutrients from the vegetables, and he drinks pure orange juice. I still sometimes try to promote fruit but do not make a big deal about it.
O Get your children that will help you prepare the food and involve them in cooking as much as possible, bearing security in mind, of course. Give them plenty of praise while they are helping. If you're making tea to your husband or others, announce to everybody your kid helped create the tea and tell them exactly what he did to help. This will make him feel proud of his accomplishments and encourage him to consume.
O if you're fortunate enough to have a garden, grow some vegetables in it. Carrots are a great starting option; inform your kids the carrots belong to them and get them to help you with the backyard. Keep it small so you can make the experience enjoyable.
O When you find something healthy your child enjoys, stick to this for a little while. Let her try new foods off your plate on a side dish. I've often found when I try to introduce new foods together with all the ones my son is comfortable with, it could put off him eating the whole of his dinner. By way of instance, I know he likes chicken, carrots and potatoes; if I then try to present cabbage and place it on his plate with the rest of the food he likes, it might be sufficient to put him off everything else.
O If your child doesn't like vegetables, a fantastic way to get him to eat them is to mash them up in casserole sauces. You could even liquidise soup which has vegetable inside and give him bread for dipping into the soup - better still if you're able to make homemade bread and involve him in making it. o Try making boiled eggs and have toast soldiers to dip into the eggs. If you add food colouring to your water when you're boiling the eggs, then it is going to add a little color to them, which might make breakfast somewhat more exciting. You can even let your child select the color she wants the egg to be.
O Ask your child to set the table for dinner and give him plenty of praise. Allow him to use napkins or plates that he enjoys.
O If your child does not like a certain food, try preparing it another way. My child did not enjoy fish in breadcrumbs so that I put it in the microwave with a knob of butter for a couple of minutes instead and he enjoys it.
O I don't understand your feelings on tomato ketchup, but it might make the difference between a kid eating something and not - it could be worth a try.
O Put off the TV at mealtimes and have the entire family sit around the table. They might not like this at first, but pretty soon it will become a regular, and there's much more chance of your child eating if she can focus on what she's doing. Include your child in the conversations around the table, and make it an enjoyable time were you catch up and tell one another your information. O Take your child to the store and get him to help you pick the food for tea. He can pick the mince and place the carrots in the bag for you.
O Pasta is generally a very popular dish for kids. Spaghetti Bolognese is very fun for them, and something as simple as pasta and cheese may make a fast, healthy lunch; serve it with a few pure orange juice and you have a balanced meal.
O If you have trouble getting your children to eat fruit, then you could always sometimes make pudding, which will encourage them to eat fruittry banana boat or apple crumble.
