I just realized that this scene is reminiscent of that scene in “Dong Yi” when the King and Dong Yo were reunited. He had been frantically looking for her while she was trying her best to get back to him.

King Sukjong’s hug was very similar to this.

The servants who are with Dong Yi all the time (Bong lady and Aejung) are idiotic and useless. This angers me so much because I've been watching Ruyi and the difference between their servants are so stark. Why turn them into dumb (not really) exposition and (not really) comic relief? Shouldn't they be actually helping Dong Yi? Nobody has faith in anybody on this show. The King trusts Dong Yi. Dong Yi trusts her bro. And that's like it. Now they spend half an episode every other episode running around crying and bemoaning something to waste screen time and I'm super bored. Three more eps. I can do it.

Lee In x Kang Hee-soo

Their love is so complex and conflicted. With everything that’s happened, I don’t know if I would want a happy ending. I can’t imagine how Lee In would let Kang Hee-soo get away with all her crimes without losing his self-respect as a king.

This kind of reminds me of the conflict that King Sukjong and Dong Yi experienced in the drama “Dong Yi”. King Sukjong, who was a righteous king, was ready to turn his back on all his principles just so he could keep her safe. He was even willing to abdicate and run away with her. Dong Yi, however, loved him far too much to let him do that, so she admitted to her crime and sacrificed herself. However, Sukjong had a brilliant plan so he could get her back legally, which he did.

I wonder if there’s going to be that kind of a way out for Hee-soo so that she and Lee In can finally be together in the end, without him compromising his position.

Please, show, stop dragging out this final conflict. Especially because it's only possible by making all the leads dumb as hell. The King literally disappeared lol. They made him such a non-entity; it's kinda disappointing.

The palace grapevine failed to mention that Heebin was meeting with that new official who is supposedly the most upright of them all. Anyways, sixty eps was like ten too many.

Anyways, RIP Inhyun.

(Dong Yi's latest title is literally my name so it's very jarring when they call her.)
