Three ships: oh dear, okay is this favourite ships? last ships read? just the first three that pop into my head? I haven't been reading a lot of HP fics recently, so my ships are all over the place at the moment. Recently it's been a lot of Xenk/Edgin from D&D: Honour Among Thieves, Astarion/Tav from Baldur's Gate 3, and Zuko/Katara from A:TLA. (I'm gonna cheat and also say Drarry, Jegulily, and Wolfstar for HP ships)

First ship: I don't think I remember what the first one I read was, but the first ship that really got its claws in me was Merthur. I hadn't been super into fanfic before that and I think someone I was following linked a fanart that was based on a fic, so I clicked on the link and I was lost forever lol

Last song: I opened spotify and it's telling me Curses by The Crane Wives, but really i had like 6 of their songs on loop for a few hours earlier today when I was doing D&D session prep

Last movie: uhhhhh I honestly can't remember. Probably something with my roommate? It might've been D&D:HAT actually, now that I think about it, we mostly watch shows/youtube not a lot of movies.

Currently reading: Does Mordenkainen Monsters of the Multiverse count? if so, that. if not I've got 19 BG3 fics open on my phone rn, but I haven't started any of them

Currently watching: My roommate's watching a Drawfee episode so I'm like half watching that as I answer this haha

Last thing I wrote: That would be chapter 1 of a sign in the midnight sky!

Currently writing: not much of anything, bg3 has consumed my entire life, but in the brief moments of clarity (usually when I'm forcibly separated from the playstation by work) chapter 2 of Shrines

Watching Drawfee’s Cursed Ships episode has got my crossover brain yelling at me to do the same...

Everyone please send me a random character and I will pair them with another random character and doodle some ship art of them. (Will accept up to 8 characters so that means 4 crossover ships for yall to enjoy!)

I'm rewatching old drawfee videos and I'm on the cursed ships fanart episode where each person is given two random characters and they have to do a shipping fanart of them and Nathan's is Mr. Robotnick from Sonic paired with handsome Squidward and Nathan says he hopes someone makes his art their phone wallpaper and I was like I know what I'm about to do!!! So further or do my new phone wallpaper is here!! I added the lightening and comic sans because the original didn't fit the screen format lol

step 2: get inspired to make some cursed ship art of your own by asking random people around your university to name a random fictional character who’s at least 18

step 3: get results (Steve Harrington x Tarzan, Atlas Corrigan from At Ends With Us x Alaska from Looking For Alaska, Captain America x Jack Sparrow, and Ironman x Zoro from One Piece)

step 4: set up laptop ready to go

step 5: none of the drawing programs you’re using seem to actually be compatible with your creative process or PC setup

step 6: realize you don’t even know more than half these characters and can’t have your canvas and references up at the same time due to how these programs work

step 7: rant about on tumblr instead

Crackships Daily: An Introduction

Hi! Welcome to crackships daily! A fun, weird little side blog that posts a crack ship idea or two almost every day.

For those that don’t know, a crack ship is a fanon relationship (platonic, romantic and/or otherwise, though usually romantic) that is perceived as impossible or outlandish for a variety of reasons. Such as the characters involved having very few or no interactions with each-other in canon, being from completely separate franchises, being different species or even being inanimate objects. I recently got obsessed with this concept thanks to @shippingbot on Twitter (who, if you have twitter, I highly recommend you go check out). Unfortunately I don’t use twitter anymore for a few reasons, but still had a huge list of character/ship ideas I never got to submit to @shippingbot.

Then it dawned on me: why not try doing a similar concept to @shippingbot’s account, but with a tumblr blog? And that’s what I did.

Of course, this blog is not run by a bot, I’m not tech savvy enough to wrap my head around stuff like Perchance or Zaiper. I just made a huge list of characters and shipping scenarios and randomly picked them using one of those spinning wheel websites, giving me some easier to obtain, but still random and chaotic results.

Anyway I hope you have fun looking through all the weird, wacky and occasionally cursed relationships showcased on this blog! If you want to submit something or send an ask or two, please read the rules first.

The more I watch Drawfee, the more I wanna do some of the challenges they’ve done 

Like yes I wanna draw more “cursed” crossover ships, my crossover heaven brain is telling me to do so and make beautiful ship art out of it 

Like yes I wanna draw using a specific pose and color palette, I can use anyone I want as long as I follow those prompts 

Like yes I wanna redraw a classical painting and put my own spin on it with characters I like 

Like yes I wanna draw my problematic fave and talk endlessly on why I love/hate them

hiii! that video you reblogged is a clip from an episode of Drawfee, a show where a few artists (these days, a core group of 4 hosts, but they have guests on very often), in their own words, "take dumb ideas and make even dumber drawings." that video is a clip from their "Cursed Ships" drawing challenge! they used to be part of College Humor if you're familiar with Dimension 20 or any Dropout media, but are now totally independent. their episodes are a lot of fun!! anyway yeah thank you for listening to this impromptu ramble <3
