Ducks Swimming Across a Pond Along the Valley of the Five Lakes Trail (Jasper National Park) by Mark Stevens
Via Flickr:
While walking across a raised boardwalk along the Valley of the Five Lakes Trail with a view looking to the southeast across this nearby pond in Jasper National Park. There were a few things that I had in mind while attempting to capture this image. One was the ducklings crossing this pond behind the mother duck, with the ripples across the waters. Another was the reflections with the small bushes and evergreen trees on those waters. Lastly was the backdrop of mountains present with Mount Kerkeslin and Mount Hardisty. I wanted to keep a leveled-on view with horizon, keeping a balance between the waters and skies above.
