Tetro but they’re playing “epic the musical” for a drama class they have for school. Everyone has to be involved.

Mai is Odysseus. Yanagi is Penelope. Hiroaki begs to be Hermes because he’s fashionable. Hama is forced to be Poseidon because no one else is taller than Hayashi. Harada is Circe because Sawa. Chiba somehow wiggled her way into being Athena and is actually THE BEST AT IT. Wada is Telemachus somehow. Ojima got Eurylochus by zoning out and not giving an answer about what he wanted, so Sasaki threw one at him. Tamba got Polites. Sasaki got the Cyclopes. Okazaki got Zeus. Isono and Tsuno got the sirens and then other members of the pantheon. Watari immediately napped Calypso after Yanagi got Penelope somehow.

Kamimura absolutely doesn’t want to be involved but then someone tells him “if you’re the prophet, you only have to be in one scene and you get to tell someone they never make it home” and he was sold.

Meanwhile Hasegawa is like “oh I wanna be Scylla!” because MEGAFAUNA!!! Everyone is like “lmao sure” and Hiroaki is like “lmao bet you can’t” and then Hasegawa actually ends up scaring his classmates because he makes Scylla sound way too scary.

Doubling up and stuff I have no idea but those are my thoughts for an AU.

i never got into epic so someone else will have to take the reigns on the specifics for this one BUT i do heavily fw the idea of them being regular high school kids who suddenly got thrown into doing a musical for whatever reason and being able to tell who's obviously way more into it than others. it was probably watari and tamba's idea

as someone who loves the concept of sirens and also really likes tsuno and isono..... that sounds like heaven sigh. i think hasegawa would have a lot of fun giving everyone little fun facts about who they're playing so they can get more in character — depending on who he's talking to they'll either listen wholeheartedly and apply that to their performance or they dgaf and do their own thing

Still kinda fucks me up that she was ready to abandon Tele (I’m not talking in first person for that one because I’m not positive that was in my canon, and I’m JUST talking about EPIC). I guess it was Ancient Greece and kids often went without their mothers, but Tele relied on his mother heavily.

So if you're in thr EPIC: The Musical community, you've likely heard of the Manwhore AU by Anniflamma. It started with jokingly shipping Zeus x Ody, and then it rapidly spiraled into seriously shipping Poseidon x Odysseus. Now, I don't want to judge anyone. I'm fully aware that I should just let people have their fun, and it shouldn't bother me so much...

HOWEVER, as a fictionkin of Ody (I AM Odysseus), it's uncomfortable to see fanart of these ships 😭

Especially the NSFW stuff. It's essentially seeing myself getting railed by someone I hate... it's pretty gross lmao. Doesn't help that I have a whole wife and son.

Other ships that make me incredibly uncomfortable include: Hermes x Ody, Zeus x Ody, Calypso x Ody (unfortunately, I've seen it...) Again, I understand that people can have their fun, but this is just how I feel. It makes me feel so icky

I won't be naming any names, and I don't mean to kink shame and shit, but I once came across an NSFW fanfic of Ody x Zeus x Poseidon, and it was basically just the two gods r**ing Odysseus.
