Khuraltan Alliance Combined Arms (House Khagat)
flickr
Khuraltan Alliance Combined Arms (House Khagat) by onlunarseas Via Flickr: As I'd done for the EDSC, I made a little group render of some of the Khuraltan vehicles and infantry, alongside a Kheshig CASE for scale. House Khagat maintains by far the largest standing army of the Alliance, and also produces much of the materiel used by the other Houses.

for you? well, it’s too late for that. moonlanded and desperate and maybe that’s a reference too. dead water still bubbles around me; it is uncanny how their hearts pound on the glass and threaten it into cracking. i feel like i’m going to dream tonight. if i could just blame all my problems on her. sickened, weak, and weary, and maybe i’m a little too invested. make paper planes out of all your hundreds then get back to me. sickened. something dreadful burns behind the door. touch the doorknob, burn your hand, rinse, repeat. we have lost oxygen. moonlanded and torpedoed further away. sinking deeper in. et cetera. i hope i’m not sick when you make it. tears waterfall down onto future somethings and make it impossible to see the packed/unpacked boxes through the blur. open but not empty. maybe i don’t get where i’m going, but i get where you’re going (here). trainspotting, and i still haven’t gotten around to it.

Early Childhood Laboratory
Today I will be talking about the Early Childhood Laboratory at the University of Kentucky. The ECL is a university based center operated by the Department of Early Childhood, Special Education, and Counselor Education within the College of Education. The Early Childhood Laboratory has a three-part mission, to serve as a model early childhood program in the community, to serve as a teacher training site for future early childhood teachers, and to serve as a site for research in child development and early childhood education. University students working at the ECL learn about becoming teachers of young children through observation, participation, and teaching experiences. Also, ECL children are occasionally involved in research projects conducted by university students, however, prior to such involvement, parents are informed about the nature, purpose, and procedures of a given study, and consent from parents is also required before any child participates. All of the lead teachers at the ECL either have or are working toward a Master’s Degree in early childhood education or child development, as well as extensive experience working with children. The lead teachers are also responsible for supervising student teachers and practicum students working toward Kentucky Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Certification. In addition to lead teachers and teaching assistants, classrooms have Early Childhood majors fulfilling their practicum requirements. The Early Childhood Laboratory has different labs for children of different ages. They have an Infant/Toddler lab and a Preschool lab, which are both from 7:50 am until 5:30 pm on Monday through Friday, and is located at 621 S. Limestone. The Early Childhood Laboratory believes that children learn by doing and that development is a process, they assume children are active, competent, and curious. That children learn best in a safe environment, which encourages their active involvement in the learning process, promotes home-school continuity, and enhances the individual child’s areas of development. “As a result, the ECL offers programs for young children based on simple routines, careful planning, and developmental appropriateness. Children have opportunities for self-selected activities, small and large group activities and outside play.”

Temporary Foreign Worker Program fills labour market gaps in Canada
Tumblr media
The Temporary Foreign Worker Program seeks to address the Canadian labour shortage.
When Canadian firms cannot locate employees with the necessary skill set among Canadians or permanent residents, they might use the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) in Canada to get the required skills from overseas.
Why TFWP -
The purpose of TFWP is a program designed to help bridge the gaps in the Canadian labour market. The declining birth rate is not helping the situation. More Canadians are reaching the retirement age, and not enough is being added to the labour market. This gap is steadily increasing.
Shortages result when there are not enough Canadian citizens or permanent residents to fill vacant positions. An employer may file a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to Employment and Social Development Canada (EDSC); if no one in Canada has the relevant skills to fill the post, the employer may recruit a foreign worker to come to Canada and fill the position provided the LMIA results are good or neutral.
LMIA
An LMIA gives EDSC the knowledge it needs to assess if there is an actual need to hire a foreign worker and whether doing so will positively, neutral, or adversely impact the Canadian labor market. TFWP request meets rejection if it turns out that there are Canadians or permanent residents qualified for the position and looking for work.
Requirements for Advertising
An employer must take several steps to demonstrate that they have attempted to identify and hire a candidate from within Canada before being qualified for an LMIA.
Advertisement for the job in question must run at least four weeks across the Canadian labor market.
The Canada Job Bank must post the job.
Employers must show that at least two extra     recruitment strategies have been used, such as specialized websites, local     job fairs, or local media.
Employers must also certify that they are aware it is against the law to fire or reduce the working hours of their current Canadian employees.
Depending on the type of job opening, there can be exceptions to these guidelines; therefore, it's essential to seek advice from a professional to ensure you're adhering to the rules of required advertising.
LMIAs with high and low wage
There are two reasons to recruit a TFW, and these two factors may affect the type of LMIA an employer must file. They must apply through the high-wage position stream for highly specialized employment that pays at least as much as the province median wage.
Employers looking to fill low-wage employment must submit applications through the low-wage position stream. This stream is used to hire temporary manufacturing, agriculture, or tourism employees. Most low-wage positions have a 20 percent cap, meaning that no more than 20 percent of the workforce can be TFWs. Depending on the industry, the cap may increase to 30%.
How to obtain a TFWP and move to Canada
After being hired by an employer, a TFW must submit their work permit application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) with the LMIA number, a copy of the LMIA, a job offer letter, and a contract. Processing times for the IRCC can differ.
TFWP work permits are "closed" work permits, which means that while an employee is in Canada, they may not be able to work for another employer and will only be able to do so for the duration of their contract.

LMIA Policy For Working in Canada 2022: All You Need to Know About
If you wish to work in Canada, you have two choices, apply for permanent residency and then come to Canada on a PR Visa after getting a job offer or search for a job after you arrive. The second option is to find a job and then apply for a work permit. Contact the Canada PR Visa Consultant at HS Consultants Education & Migration to learn more about Canada PR.
Tumblr media
If a Canadian company is willing to hire you, it must first get a Labor Market Impact Assessment, aka LMIA. If you are applying for a Canadian work permit internationally, you must submit a copy of the LMIA with your visa application. We, as HS Consultants Education & Migration, will now give you basic information about LMIA.
What is LMIA?
The word LMIA refers to the Labor Market Impact Assessment. Under the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada aka IRCC Express Entry System, Canadian employers who wish to hire qualified foreign workers and support the permanent residence visa application of such employees can make a job offer to the chosen employee.
Types of LMIA
There are two categories of LMIAs offered. The type depends on the nature of the job, which is as follows.
Temporary Job Offers.
Permanent Job Offers.
You must also keep these essentials in mind.
For permanent work offers, the LMIA is a two-year permit, which you can extend for a further two years.
Temporary employment offers LMIAs is only valid for two years, and you cannot extend your LMIA for such a nature of work.
The maximum time of a temporary job offer is two years, which you cannot extend in any situation.
The LMIA is one of the numerous systems in Canada to protect the interests of the local Canadian labor market, and it is needed to assure that employing an overseas worker has no negative influence on the labor market.
Changes, which will influence the Labor Market Impact Assessment policy in 2022
Canada is bound to alter how occupations are categorized by fall 2022. As a result, it will influence the LMIA policy for LMIA in 2022 as well.
Canada’s method for classifying jobs is the National Occupational Classification, aka NOC. The NOC is reviewed each year and updated per five years to mirror somewhat Canada’s changing labor market.
The IRCC presently uses the NOC 2016 to decide the eligibility of immigration applicants for skilled worker plans.
As per the IRCC, the federal government hopes to enforce the new classification systems for employment in fall 2022. It claimed that it would allow IRCC to notify stakeholders of the changes and reveal the new system across all of its plans.
To ensure steadiness throughout the work permit application process, it is harmonizing the rollout with EDSC, which will impact LMIA for 2022. For more information contact our Immigration Lawyer.

Journal 3: First Day Fuuu..n?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I had my first day last Friday, August 31.
I was supposed to start on September 4, but my cooperating teacher offered to let me handle the quiz and lab activity for my two assigned sections on Friday. Since I was--as my word-of-the-week last week pointed out--“atat”, I took the opportunity to start early.
BIG MISTAKE.
I’m sure my CT meant well, and simply wanted to grant me a choice of starting early, but my overflowing eagerness caused me a lot of trouble. Here are the reasons why:
1. I have no lesson plan for Friday
- I had prepared lesson plans 2 whole weeks ahead of time... with the assumption that I’m starting on September 4, so I had nothing planned on Friday, save for what the lab activity procedure says. Even if I attempted to make a lesson plan, the schedule called for both a quiz (on a topic no less complex and difficult than organic molecules) and an activity right after, I had no time to introduce myself or take time to set up class rules. It was do or die. I was closer to the latter.
2. My cooperating teacher handles a Grade 11 class right after my first class and right before the time slot of my second class
This means my CT: a) cannot observe my first ever time handling either class, and b) needs the surprisingly heavy and numerous microscopes to be delivered from the Bio Lab on the 1st floor, to the Chem Lab on the 2nd floor--directly after my morning class ends.. AND THEN, I have to bring them back right after her class somehow so I can use the microscopes for my second class. Fun.
3. I had no prior experience actually handling a lab activity for a class
- I’ve administered a mock exam for EDRE 146, and did a live demo teaching for EDSC 152. We also tried the science lab activities ourselves under Teacher Zen Bojo in 152, but I never got to try facilitating one to a class of forty eager and excitable students. As was shown in the comic, I was overwhelmed.
4. One part of their activity required that they approach me for prepared slides
- Prepared slides are generally relics of an ancient time. They are invaluable commodities usually donated by real researchers, featuring specimens that are *impossible* to prepare except in a highly specialized laboratory with very expensive equipment. This is why only instructors can handle the box they are contained in. It is also why every single pair of students had to approach me for their prepared slides. I Was Overwhelmed, Part 2.
THE PREP
The afternoon of Thursday, I checked every single microscope in the Biology lab to see which ones worked. I labeled them according to their level of functionality, even placing cute little sticky notes for the ones that worked but need special tips, like microscopes that would adjust its focus on its own if you didn’t keep hold of the knob. There weren’t even enough to number half of the class, which is why my CT had me bring down the electronic microscopes from the Chem Lab.
I knew that time was going to be against me, so I asked for advice from my co-STs, and Teacher Aly suggested I cut down on the time spent regrouping them into pairs by making a set of numbers for drawing lots. I spent Thursday night printing and cutting little numbers, and added to the idea by making labels for the tables with sets of numbers corresponding to the different pairs (e.g. a table labeled “1-3″ to show that pairs 1 to 3 are to use the microscopes on that table and so on).
I also arrived early to school to arrange and label all the supplies for the activity. The specimen, slides, cover slips, where to throw the used cover slips etc. were all labeled with masking tape.
THE CONCLUSION
Most students finished both the quiz and activity in both sections, although section Honeybee was late to their math class, handled by my co-ST Teacher Rensea, because they took a while to finish up.
It wasn’t completely disastrous, but I feel that it was a messy way to begin my teaching relationship with the two sections. I had no opportunity to communicate with them about how they’d prefer that I handle the class, nor was I able to show them how I really teach. Last Friday, I felt more of a proctor and proxy than a teacher, but that could simply be because I’m not good at classroom management.
I know that first impressions are important. It’s a shame I wasn’t able to make a good entrance like how I always envisioned I could, but I’m not at all discouraged.
This coming week, I’ll start things up right.

"Hey!" Richie crossed his arms over his chest giving a bit of a look when he was called a dumbass. He was about to fully protest when Stan whispered to him. His cheeks turned a deep shade of pink.
"Yeah... I got this" he almost tripped over his words. "So umm Edsc Richie sat up straight as best he could trying to seem calm and cool.
"I heard you have a crush on Stan" he rubbed the back of his neck feeling like his heart might pound out of his chest. "And well fuck uh... would you maybe like to Date.... us?" He felt dumb and small. He sucked at this.
How long had it been? A few hours at least. A small amount of droll slipped from Tozier’s mouth as he slept. He hadn’t slept decently in a while. Slowly as he stirred awake Trashmouth glanced up remembering what happened. Remembering Eddie was here with him waiting for Stanley to come home.
He sat up stretching his spine popping in a few different places as he took note of the wet spot upon the other’s shorts from his drool. Stan should have been expected home at any moment. Richie was in a good mood, he was in an affectionate mood and his two closest friends in one room seemed like a good idea to him.
