A Show Stopping Smoked Salmon Platter for Easter
I’ve had a Cameron Stovetop Smoker for years now and in the past used it often. For some reason, I got out of the habit of using it, but recently pulled it out and smoked some chicken! It was so delicious that the other day, I decided to smoke a side of salmon! OMG it was such a treat and soooo easy! The hardest part of using this little smoker is washing it and Baldy is so good at it that I just let him do it…it’s a good trade, he gets to eat the delicious food and I don’t have to wash the dishes!
Anyway, after that first salmon experiment, I thought it would be fun to make a platter and surround the salmon with delicious garnishes, somewhat inspired by a Salad Nicoise! It turned out better than I could have hoped…it was beautiful and so delicious! After I finished artfully arranging the other ingredients around the salmon, I drizzled it with a simple maple vinaigrette (since I used maple smoking chips), squeezed a bit of lemon juice over the salmon and added a few slices of lemon! Wow, it really was a showstopper and I’ll definitely be making this often! I think this recipe will serve 4 adults generously. You could always add more of the “garnishes” or serve with another vegetable. I’m serving it for Easter lunch and will probably smoke two pieces of salmon for six adults and two children. I never mind leftovers…in fact, I have just a bit left in the refrigerator that I’ll put on avocado toast later today and that will be such a treat for my lunch!

If you don’t have a smoker, you could grill or roast the salmon in the oven and it would still be delicious! Don’t let that stop you from trying this recipe!

easter sunday! woke up this morning and was feeling a tad dusty after drinks last night. had some peach hydrolyte and panadol to get me going.
had some morning cuddles with my baby niece whilst i drank my coffee, she's so bloody cute now. saying words back to you and chatting. she had so much chocolate for breakfast that we had to give her some real food otherwise she'd get a stomach ache
mum made ham, cheese, and tomato toasted croissants for breakfast for everyone and we sat around and ate those.
i then set up the easter egg hunt for baby Zoe and we went around the garden and found the eggs
she was so excited and proud of her eggs that she kept showing them off to everyone in her peter rabbit basket. she even took them to the gavrils to show off haha
i got ready for easter lunch. i am really enjoying my new eye of horus eyeshadow palette
headed to the gavrils and started partying. dranks so much white wine, caught up with lara and trav. lara told me all about her reading (christmas present from me) that she had with susan which was so lovely and validating before her big trip and move to london in 19 days
ate so much food and kept drinking and laughing. we came back home and had some more drinks whilst waiting for aunty christy and uncle nathan to come over, along with cousin nick and his gf mia, christy's friend michelle and her son Kye
drank and ate and laughed all evening. carlos, vienna and zoe leave early in the morning so getting up to see them off. i cant believe that next time i see them, they'll have their new son who's due on may 22, zion. im gonna call him ziggy

After telling Andrzej that I won’t spend my whole Easter in the kitchen, cooking 9328938 courses, I proceeded to spend my whole Easter in the kitchen cooking one course and three side dishes. 🫠
But we had lunch in the garden (is warm enough now) and had a nice peaceful day.

Pillow princess regulus. He’s laying there, praising James and making the sweetest noises, usually perfect curls in a disarray and cheeks flushed, freckles peppering his skin like a constellation and arching his back as James ruins him
see i love pillow princess reg bc it goes hand in hand with service top james.
james has one hand wrapped around reg’s neck and he’s three fingers deep with the other, absolutely awestruck. stuttering out, “is it- am i being good reg?” dropping his head against the inside of his thigh and moaning. desperate when he says, “just want to be good for you.”
and regulus is carding his fingers through james hair, can’t believe he’s even real. flushed and begging for regulus to tell him he’s making him feel good. “yeah fuck, it’s good. being such a good boy for me jamie.” and james is just preening from the praise. reg tells him sweetly to open his mouth before he’s pushing james’ face back into his cunt and moaning through it.
