Doomsday
So despite what the name of this post says this is actually a little surprise and a thank you to everyone from the discord group and tumblr who supported me recently. It’s inspired by the song ‘Doomsday’ by Lizzy McAlpine and is supposed to be a happy little thank you but the song says differently 😂 I’ve included all the characters that I know my mutuals love and ones people have chosen with the discord group. I just want to say a massive thank you to you all and I love every single one of you so much. So as a thank you please head on down below for your little surprise 🩵

easy company registration cards part 2
part 1
included in this compilation under the cut are the registration cards of 13 more easy company veterans featured in band of brothers (2001). all are taken from publicly available draft records held in online databases and collected by me, and contain details like the registrant's serial number, physical attributes, date and place of birth, phone number, residential and mailing addresses, place of employment and nominated next of kin, as well as their handwriting sample and signature. like or reblog if you use or save.
Tumblr media
a note about draft registration
during the second world war, the united states selective service system conducted a total of six draft registrations, the records of which are held collectively in two groupings at the national personnel records centre in st. louis, missouri. members of easy company were drafted in all but one of these registrations from october 1940 through to december 1942. the six registrations are as follows:
16 october 1940: males aged 21 to 35 "within the continental united states". winters, nixon, welsh, toye, perconte and liebgott were among those registered on this date.
1 july 1941: males "who had reached 21 since the first registration". lipton and speirs were registered on this date.
16 february 1942: between the ages of 20 and 45 "who had not previously registered". roe, bull, malarkey and luz, among others, were registered on this date.
27 april 1942: between the ages of 46 to 65 "not eligible for military service". no known easy company members were registered on this date.
30 june 1942: between the ages of 18 to 20. talbert, webster, grant, guarnere, babe, shifty, skip and christenson, among others, were registered on this date.
10-31 december 1942: "those who reached the age of 18 after 12 november 1942". penkala, who turned 18 in august 1942 three months before the cutoff, was nonetheless among those registered in this period.
if you have a family member or ancestor who served in a branch of the us armed forces during either the first or second world war, chances are that you can find their registration card on databases like ancestry.com and familysearch.org.

I Need Recommendations!!!!
As I am rewatching Band of Brothers, why don’t we have more Edward Tipper and Pat Christenson fanfics like these guys are so under appreciated with their little sly remarks? Like I know we barely get to see them especially Tipper but like omg they have so much character to them. Also, I do suck at finding fanfics so if any of you have good recommendations for them or other minor characters in BOB I would love to know!

Band of Brothers Ages: IRL vs. Actors
Did you know that according to a 1947 study, almost half the men who served in WWII were still under age 26 by the end of the war?
What this is : A (very long) post comparing the ages of the actors in Band of Brothers vs. the IRL figures they are portraying.
Background: Did I need to do this? No. Did anyone ask for this? Also no. Did I do it anyway? Yes.
Disclaimers: This is SUPER approximate for the most part. I based IRL ages off of D-Day unless otherwise noted, and actor ages off of January 1, 2000, the year filming took place (the latter is where the most variation will be because I didn't try to figure out what month filming started). I also didn't fact-check birthdays beyond googling. Most are sourced from the Band of Brothers and Military Wikis on fandom.com, Wikipedia, and IMDb.
I broke them up into rough categories, which are, again, approximate. I know I often forget how young the real life people were here, and this was a good reminder of that. I also found it interesting to see which actors were actually younger than their roles!
Check it all out under the cut ⬇️

What It All Comes Down To by @almost-a-class-act
*Blue link means you need an AO3 account to view the work! Hopefully you do because this fic is so wonderful.
Summary: Joe Liebgott gives great haircuts. Is it his fault that no one seems to want to give them up after the war?
Characters: Joe Liebgott/Edward Tipper, Joe Liebgott, Edward Tipper, Richard Winters, Floyd Talbert, Chuck Grant
Fic rec because this felt like a balm after an odd Wednesday. Coincidentally, I haven’t stopped thinking about that Winters & Lieb haircut anecdote at all this week so tucking into this left me so full and happy. Liebgott’s written so well but so is every other Easy boy who traipses into his chair.
Gonna sound insanely parasocial for a second and say that was like watching old friends through taped home videos.

**I was also thinking about adding more info to this list and/or making a separate post with additional details like awards/medals, how and where they were wounded (if at all), and maybe some personal details like where they were born/died, their family (parents, siblings, spouse, children), what they did after the war (if they survived) stuff like that (though that might be a separate list idk yet). I would love to hear your opinion and if you'd like to see something like this. Basically just one large masterpost! Message me and tell me your thoughts!!!! I'm open to ideas!

"So I'm sitting there, talking on the phone with Adam Yauch, a.k.a MCA, who is one third of the Beastie Boys. I ask him the major question of our pop era; Why the Beastie Boys now? And I experienced this epiphany that sheds neutron beams of new light on said question. To wit:
What most adults don't realize about most teenagers is that most teenagers are extremely conservative most of the time, even as they are engaging in obnoxious behavior designed to differentiate themselves from most adults. Most teenagers enjoy a heavily structured life, are threatened by deviations from the conforming norm and will ridicule those enamored of deviating from the conforming norm. In this way, most teenagers are exactly like most adults, the only difference being that teenagers piss their lives away in high school while adults piss their lives away in corporations. Most teenagers, after all, grow up to be most adults.
At 22, Adam Yauch can did the above principles because when he was at Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, he was the only kid who wore combat boots and spiked hair and got kicked around for it--the classic coming-of-age experience for punks. Yet, at writing this, Yauch and the other Beastie Boys have a number-one album--Licensed to Ill (Columbia/Def Jam)--and the kids who uses to spit on him are now chanting his lyrics, particularly Fight for Your Right (to Party), about beer and sex and drugs, which leads to the question of Tipper Gore.
"What's Tipper Gore?" Yauch asked.
The wife of Senator Albert Gore and cofounder of the Parents' Music Resource Center, I reply. The music biz needs Senator Gore to protect it from digital audio tape, and Gore needs the music biz so he can denounce lyrics about beer and sex and drugs and look good to the wacko right. I don't see how the music biz can claim to have cleaned up its act with you guys at number one.
"Yeah, I think they don't understand what we're saying. Mother's don't pick it up when we're not too blatant."
Which sounds plausible, until you actually listen to the record, the charm of which is that it's utterly blatant. Total, unexpurgated insistence on teenage experience, without regard for ideology, the FCC or Mom--and it's at the top of the charts after years of unrelieved unrequited love and guitar fascism from multi-platinum bombinators. Then Yauch volunteers that the Beasties are negotiating with the networks to do a situation comedy, which is going to be one of the good ones, like I Love Lucy or The Honeymooners or Mr. Ed.
But what about all the drug references? I ask. The networks have a strict policy against mentioning drugs in anything but a negative context. Johnny Carson can't even joke about the band's smoking dope.
Yauch pauses for two beats and says, "There aren't any references to drugs on the album."
The references to being dusted--they're not about angel dust?
Yauch pauses two beats and says, "No, that's a reference to unemployment."
There are no references to drugs on the album?
"No. Excuse me, man, there's a knock on the door."
Yauch saying there are no drug references on Licensed to Ill is like Hugh Hefner's saying there are no nudes in Playboy. To cite one example from Hold It, Now Hit It: "I'm in my car, I'm going far and dust is what I'm using." Or from The New Style: "I rolled up the wooler and I watched Columbo." A wooler, accordion to my street sources, is a joint with crack in it. The Beasties' lyrical style is to brag and tell tall tales, so you cannot in fairness say they are advocating anything. But they are absolutely referencing drugs. So I had yet another epiphany, this time a two-sided one.
1. It is a bad thing that Adam Yauch lies. Faced with a choice of affirming his own vision or a potential network sitcom, Yauch opted for the sitcom. This is really disillusioning. A majority of Americans under the age of 45 have had some sort of illegal-drug experience, and of those, most have had an interesting time and got on with their lives. Lying about it makes antidrug hysteria possible at election time. I say everyone who ever used an illegal drug ought to pee on the White House lawn and tell the President to analyze that. And then everyone ought to pee on the Fortune 500 firms who demand urinalyses of their employees. If the Beastie Boys mean it about fighting for our right to party, they will tell the truth and lead us.
2. It is a good thing that Adam Yauch lies. The network are run by cynical greedheads and staffed with dullards who think that if the demographics show antidrug hysteria is happening, it's the truth. Lying to such people is not selling out; it is growing up. The Beastie Boys could make a great TV show. There won't be a mass pee-in on the White House lawn, because, as I said, most people are extremely conservative and enjoy their heavily structured lives. Why be a martyr?
"Sorry, man," says Yauch. "That was a pack of cheerleaders. They wanted to do their routine for me, but I told them they had to take their clothes off first."
Did they?
"No, they're down the hall now."
So, drug references aside, how do you get it up after all that beer you purportedly drink?
"It comes down to the girl. If she's talented, she can get you up if you're dead. That's just a theory I have."
Is it true that your contract rider says you get a supply of condoms along with the condiments in your dressing room?
"Yes, the Beastie Boys are into safe sex. We're also into making our own porno movies with a video camera. We got a great segment of this girl who wouldn't suck dick unless we sang Brass Money. So we sang Brass Monkey and she blew us."
Where'd that happen?
"Washington or Montana. Middle America, man--you'd be amazed. I'm calling from South Carolina right now, and the South is known for its incredible dick-sucking abilities."
So, the Beasties haven't gone for the antisex hysteria, anyway. Maybe something is shifting out there. Maybe the fact that the Beasties are number one now while other bands (such as The Ramones and the Dictators) with similar humor failed means that all those extremely conservative teenagers are willing to laugh at themselves again, to be irreverent again, learning again not to take the word of extremely conservative adults.
"Seems that way to me, man. Excuse me. Someone's at the door again."
So maybe this is the beginning of a new phase . . . the beginning of . . . the return of . . . the Sixties?
"Sorry, man. I gotta go. Those cheerleaders are back."
- Playboy, July 1987

Warriors (Edward Tipper x F!Reader) Part 2
Tumblr media
Hola! Here is part two! Feels weird to finish a story since my other one is going on forever ahaha. I hope you like it @lenabob! Special thanks to my ghost reader @brassknucklespeirs who gets to be read these fics like a bed time story. You're my bitch! Even now when she is violently hungover she gets to proof read my work. Thanks boo, you have officially created a monster. Based on the HBO series and the actors who portray the characters, no hate to the men who served.
***
Y/N loads into the plane, struggling to climb the ladder due to the extra gear that had been given to all of the soldiers. Needing to be pushed from behind to get her into the plane. She takes a seat on the bench, her heart beating in her ears. Tipper sits beside her, he doesn’t say anything but takes her hand in his, giving her a reassuring squeeze. She looks over to the man, his face covered in paint, but still the same handsome man as always. His eyes crinkle at the sides as he gives her a smile, she can’t help but smile back. They keep their hands locked together. As the reality settles in. Soon they would be jumping out of this plane and into war. Some of them would make it and some wouldn’t, there was no guarantee. The engine of the plane roared to life being the only thing you could hear.
“I’ll find you.” Tipper yells in her ear. Y/N nods. They had made a plan that they would find each other and stick together after they had landed. It was optimistic of them to think that would happen. The plane rattled, the men sitting in silence. Nervous looks on all of their faces. This was happening, everything they trained for was coming to fruition. The plane shuddered forward, taking off down the runway. After gaining enough speed the wheels left the ground as it soared into the air. It felt like the longest flight. Soon it was dark outside. Tipper and Y/N were still pressed together holding hands. They were savouring their last moments with each other before dropping into the mayhem that was war. The chaos soon found them though before they had even landed. The red light signalled on. Winters commanded everyone to their feet, readying them for the jump. Bomb blasts lit up the night sky. The bombs hit closer, sending the plane sideways, as the men got thrown off their feet. Scrambling to stand back up. Fire exploding around them, Y/N could feel the heat of the explosives as they blew. A gasp left her lips, from where she was standing she could see out the open door. A plane to their right took a direct hit. Splitting in half, the front of the plane nosedived towards the ground as the back of the plane followed suit. A blast close by sent shards of glass flying through the cabin hitting some of the men behind her. They cried out in pain. She begged the light to turn green, up here they were sitting ducks. She was ready to be out of the flying death trap. The plane flew up and down, swerving out of the way of other falling planes and debris making it hard for the men to stay on their feet. The light finally turned green, a sigh of relief leaving Y/N lips. The men jumped one by one. Tipper jumped ahead of her, sending her a tight smile. Soon she was falling out of the plane. She winced as bullets ripped past her, explosions blast nearby sending waves of heat in her direction. She couldn’t see anything in the dark of the night, disorientated from the scattered blasts of light from the explosions. Y/N looks to the ground where she was heading to land, finding a plane beneath her on fire. Yanking on her parachute straps she was able to dodge the fiery mess. She landed harshly on the ground, quickly removing her gear to get out of the open field she just landed in. Fumbling around she brought up the rope her leg bag was attached to. Only to find a frayed end, oh that’s just great. After walking in the dark for what felt like forever, Y/N finally stumbled across some of the other men, greeting them with the code word flash and their reply of thunder. They were a while away from their objective but they were able to locate where they were. They walked all night, strolling down the road the sun rose behind them leaving a beautiful burnt orange sky. They marched into the farm where the rest of the soldiers had gathered. Y/N eyes scanned the faces of the men who walked past, looking for a certain nose she had saved to memory. Y/N spotted Lieb who sat on a stone wall.
“Well look what the cat dragged in.” Lieb joked, giving Y/N a squeeze. She peered over the man’s shoulder as they embraced still searching. A helmet popped up from behind the wall, followed by a familiar face, Y/N almost pushed Lieb out of the way to reach the man.
“Tipper!” She yelled at the man who hadn’t noticed her yet. His eyes flicked to her recognising the voice.
“Y/N!” They rushed towards each other, Y/N jumped into his arms wrapping her legs around his sides, she could cry with happiness to see the man alive and uninjured. They sobered after hearing the other men fall into silence watching their intimate reunion. Y/N quickly unhooked her legs from Tip as he placed her back on the ground. Giving each other a sheepish smile. She looked over to Lieb who was grinning, she raised her eyebrows at him daring him to make a comment. Lieb made a face and shrugged his shoulders. As the rest of the men started chatting with each other again. Tipper and Y/N sat next to each other as they exchanged stories about how they had reached the farm. By nightfall the second battalion had secured Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, and elements of the 4th division were beginning to move men and material inland. They had given the soldiers an hour to rest and scrounge for any food they could find. Y/N and Tipper sat in the back of the truck with the other soldiers of Easy company. Malarkey was cooking some stew in a half cut gasoline tank. Y/N chuckled as Buck told them about poor Popeye being shot in the ass that day, when they were securing the guns. Malarkey started handing out his dish he had made. Tipper and Y/N stared eating, giving each other a surprised look of, wait this is actually kinda good.
“Don’t look at each other like that!” Malarkey said as they exchanged a glance.
“Look at each other like what?” Y/N laughed.
“Like you're surprised it’s good. Of course it’s good, I made it!” Malarkey puffed out his chest in pride, making the pair laugh harder.
“It’s very good, thank you Don.” Y/N thanked the chef as they grinned at each other. Tipper nudged her with his arm as they shared another chuckle between them.
Easy company sit around the monument in the middle of the town, waiting for instructions to move. Tipper and Y/N are stuck to each other.
“This is my first time in France.” Tipper says as he sips on his canteen looking around the town.
“Me too, is’t it nice we get to see France together.” Y/N jokes, Tipper elbows her.
“You know what I mean. Weird to think the only reason we are here is because of the war. I don’t think I would’ve travelled to France if it wasn’t for this.” Tipper ponders. Y/N nods her head.
“Well we wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for the war.” Y/N thought out loud.
“Should we cheers to the war then, for letting us find each other?” Tipper held out his canteen, and Y/N clinked them together.
“To the war!” They mumbled together.
“Let’s go first platoon, Easy’s moving out! On your feet!” Welsh yells from in front of them. They help each other stand making their way in front of Welsh to listen to his command. Welsh tells the soldier’s they are on light and noise discipline, and that they are taking Carentan. The men move out following behind Welsh. Y/N nerves return, this will be the first time in combat.
Night falls quickly, as they march towards their next destination. Everyone followed orders keeping quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the crunching of ground underfoot and the distant echoes of gunfire. Everyone was on high alert as they walked. Due to the poor visibility of night Y/N eyes flitted from one thing to another. Her brain used to trick her when she was younger, when she would be lying in bed unable to get to sleep her mind would race. Thinking about monsters lurking in the shadows, her eyes would land on a darkness in her room which looked like a man standing in the corner. She would be quick to turn on her flashlight pointing it in the direction of the shadowy figure, only to find her coat hung over the back of her door. Her eyes did the same on this walk, any bush or tree that looked oddly human shaped would make her jump and point her gun in it’s direction, only for her eyes to adjust and see that her brain was showing her things that weren’t really there. The other men would continue their walk past her as she glared at the humanoid bush, cursing it for being so creepy. Tipper stayed close, walking behind Y/N. He would wait for her as she assessed her surroundings, not making any jokes or teasing her for thinking everything was alive, because he felt the same.
D-day plus 6, that was when they finally came upon Carentan. The small town was desolate, smoke rising from the centre, due to old fires finally burning out. There was an unmistakable air of kenopsia around the town. Crouching down just outside of the town the platoons waited for instructions. The signal went for the ambush to begin. In a group they charge down the entrance to the town, soon to be met with enemy fire. Y/N and Tipper dive into the ditch as men fall to the ground around them. Y/N ducks as she is pinned down by the rivals fire.
“GET MOVING!” Winters screams at the men. Y/N rises to her feet clambering out of the ditch, running into the field nearby to find another entrance into the town, other men follow her lead. Y/N barges through a side gate into a back road. Y/N pins herself to the side of a building. Peeking her head round the corner she spots gun fire from the top window of the nearby shops. Raising her rifle, she lines up the shot. Squeezing the trigger letting her round fire into her target. The shooting from the shops stops. The soldier across from her is shot as he collaspes to the floor.
“Sniper!” She yells to the men behind her, as she glances around trying to figure out where the shot came from. She spots a man lying down hidden in a stairway with his rifle propped up. That’s him. She turns her fire to the sniper, raising her rifle once again. Hitting him with precision, the man slumps down unmoving. Machine gun fire hits the building Y/N and the men cover behind. They duck back further behind the wall to ensure they aren’t hit. Y/N gives the men a signal telling them to wait, when the fire stops she knows they are reloading. Popping around the corner she takes out the machine gunners in the lower shop window. Now with the machine gun down they are able to move further into the town. They move forward as a group, keeping low. Some of the men split up to clear the other building close by to ensure all of the enemy were gone. Y/N glanced around at the men who were with her, faces all familiar but the one she desperately seeked was not there. Y/N turned her attention back to the task at hand, Tipper will be fine, stop worrying.
Tipper ran with Lieb, also scanning the faces for Y/N but he hadn’t seen her in a while. She had gotten out of the ditch so fast he couldn’t keep up. He knew she would be safe though.
“Tipper take Liebgott, start clearing these buildings.” Welsh ordered the men, as they took cover in a doorway.
Tipper got down on his knee propping the bazooka onto his shoulder aiming for the building across from them. The sound boomed from the weapon as the rocket soared into the structure blasting a hole through the front of it, sending debris flying into the street. Tipper was on his feet again moving to clear out the next house. A loud rumble shook the ground they ran on.
“They got us zeroed! Spread it out! Spread it out!” Lip yelled from a high point. The whistling sound piercing through the air signalling bombs were being dropped from the sky as they hit the town the men were in. Bombs rocked the town blowing the street and houses to pieces, the men fled from the street, trying to get out of the open. Tipper watched as a soldier standing in the street got torn to pieces from a shell landing next to him, his legs stayed planted to the ground while his body flew into the air landing on the ground next to his legs. Tipper looked away from the horrific scene, trying his best to not think about what he had just witnessed.
Running towards a pharmacy, Lieb and Tipper kick in the door, ensuring the building is clear. Guns at the ready, they sweep the inside. Tipper moves to the back of the building, opening the back door. A sheet flaps in the wind making the man gasp in fright, as he staggers back. Lifting his gun.
Tipper yells, “Hello?” to the green shed in the back garden. “Anybody there?” he calls again before firing a couple of shots into the structure.
Y/N sees Lieb leave the pharmacy. “Where’s Tipper?” She calls to the man, he motions behind him to the building. Her eyes fixed onto the window trying to see if she could spot the silhouette of the man. Moving towards the building she makes her way to the doorway. A whistling sound catches her attention. SHIT. Tipper stands just a couple of metres away. Everything slows as she runs forward towards him. Lunging forward she captures him in her arms tackling them to the floor as the shell hits, sending them flying further back into the building. They groan as they lie on the floor together. After getting her bearings again, Y/N crawls up to be closer to Tipper’s face. Y/N scans his head and torso looking for any injuries. Tipper does the same grabbing her face in his hands giving her a once over with his eyes.
“You ok?” He pants, too stunned to speak, Y/N nods her head. “You saved me!” he says shocked.
“Of course I saved you idiot.” She replies. He shakes his head in disbelief, pulling her into a tight hug.
“I love you, Y/N.” Tipper whispers into her ear. Y/N pulls back to see if he’s being genuine. His eyes shine as he looks at her.
“What?” Y/N asked, baffled by his confession, he loves me?
“To tell you the truth Y/N, I have loved you ever since we collided on Currahee. I had just been waiting for you to figure it out.” He confesses. She’s speechless, looking at the man that she has loved now for years. Their eyes looking from each other to their lips. They moved forward gently, finding each other in the middle. Their lips press together softly, as they hold each other close. Letting the world around them fall away for just a moment. They pull away, only to collide again. This time with more lust and need. Y/N gripping her fingers into the back of Tipper’s hair, needing him closer than they were currently. Tipper’s hand slipping under her jacket to grip her hips rocking her forward. They part once more, panting, “I love you.” Y/N whispers back.

꒰ Band of Brother Characters Taste in Music ꒱
Dick Winters— Jazz music is his jam... I could see him enjoying Laufey or Nat King Cole
Lewis Nixon— Either has a similar taste to Winters or he's listening to alternative. Might listen to Lana Del Rey.
Ronald Speirs— Folk Rock... Think of Sedona by Houndmouth or maybe Not Dead Yet by Lord Huron.
Harry Welsh— Probably loves music from the 70s... You could catch him singing to Fleetwood mac or Carly Simon.
Carwood Lipton— he listens to all kinds of music... Old, new, um classical. if he likes it, he will listen to it.
Edward Shames— Klezmer or nigun; He's a mensch.
John Martin—Whatever the radio plays, he isn't picky. He just doesn't enjoy hard rock or certain country music(that's about beer & girls).
Floyd Talbert— It's giving Mac Demarco, TV Girl, Backseat Lovers, maybe Gorillaz.. I don't know if he's a red flag or not.
Bill Guarnere— Alternative Rock; I'm leaning towards Punk by Gorillaz. Though, if he were to have a guilty pleasure song it'd be Mamma Mia by Abba.
Joe Toye— I'm thinking Metal or heavier rock in general though he definitely has guilty pleasure songs. His favourite metal song is Dragula by Rob Zombie. The guilty pleasure song is definitely Brutal by Olivia Rodrigo. He also listens to Lana del Rey, Marina, and Paramore.
Don Malarkey— His favourite band is the strokes, trust me. He also enjoys The Libertines and Franz Ferdinand. Just trust me on this, okay?
Lynn Compton— Wasn't he kind of athletic? If so he definitely has a workout playlist that's full of either really hyper-feminine music or 90s rock.
Ralph Spina— He loves music from the 60s-70s... Southern Nights by Glen Campbell is one of his favourite songs.
Eugene Roe— @chaosklutz helped with this one; Jazz. I could imagine him listening to Let's call the whole thing off by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
Babe Heffron—Indie pop or Indie rock... Hes an avid listener of lovejoy. He also listens to Hozier from time to time.
Shifty Powers— Folk... He's from Virginia but if I remember correctly it's a rural area. He definitely likes John Denver and The Oh Hellos.
Joseph Liebgott— Klezmer the folk music of Ashki Jews!! Example; Dona Dona by Nikitov. On the other hand, I could see him listening to alternative/indie like Blur or haim.
George Luz— Classic Rock or Indie Pop— Think talking heads or wallows. However, he definitely loves some cher songs and donna summers.
Bull Randleman— It's giving rock but not heavy... He's not like Toye or Guarnere. I'm thinking of Cheaptrick or maybe Aerosmith.
Skinny Sisk—Probably listens to a playlist that's a mixture of pop, rock, and rap. It's giving red flag.
Frank Perconte— He definitely listens to the fratellis and the maccabees... I mean they have a song called Toothpaste Kisses...
Warren Muck— he listens to anything but he tends to favour the 80s. He loves Come On Eileen but also 500 miles? He'd play that whilst in the car with Penkala and Malarkey.
Alex Penkala— Don't ask me why but I think he'd listen to new wave. Think Duran Duran, Blondie, or B-52s. He might listen to the ramones from time to time.
David Webster— Whilst studying Webster has definitely chosen classical as his go to. He's a big fan of Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky. However, when listening to music on the radio he prefers something a bit more quiet... His taste clashes with Toye and Guarnere. Though, I could see him trying to act as if listening to the smiths is really underrated. As if they're some underground band.
Edward Tipper— I think he likes 60s pink Floyd... Like See Emily Play Pink Floyd. He might also enjoy The Beatles or The Stone Roses. Like Rock that borders being pop.

💚cast your mutuals as band of brothers characters💚
Oh lord, this is going to be hard. So, I'm going to base my casting on vibes.
Some mutuals did make it in (sorry) as I don’t know them enough or they aren’t in the fandom.
Although we never interacted @i-dont-like-bullies seems like Malarkey to me. I don’t know why, just vibes
@onlyyouexisthere gives me Bull and Chuck vibes
@liebgotts-lovergirl just screams Edward Tipper. She would absolutely help with pranks and she is absolutely resilient with what life throws at her
@brassknucklespeirs is Lewis Nixon to me on account of our creative discussions and how smart she is.
@auroralightsthesky seems like Carwood Lipton to me. She just has that mother energy like Lipton does.
@softguarnere and I don’t interact too much, but I can tell that she's Babe Heffron. Something about her just screams chaotic, and she'll reveal that chaotic nature to her friends just like Babe.
@holdingforgeneralhugs reminds me of David Webster on account of her seer writing power and creativity.
@multifandomlover01 is so caring, so it’s either Winters or Eugene Roe

Sex-positive aro/ace Israel Hands.
Sex is not a main or even a secondary drive, but the sensation is nice so if someone initiates, and Izzy doesn't hate that person?
Whores are easiest, they don't expect him to feel anything about the shag, or expect attention when he has better things to do, will not ask him to come back unless it's because he's a fair tipper.
Edward used to understand that.
But somehow he forgot, or something changed, Izzy isn't sure but Edward started wanting more, pushing for things Izzy can't give and it fractured things between them.
Because Edward was never the best with feelings in the first place, and Izzy doesn't understand the wants and needs. He watches people "fall in love" and "suffer for love" and feels only annoyance at the wasted time and incomprehension at the suffering.
A lot of things get blamed on love, it's an excuse to do all manner of daft things, to forget your duty to stab friends in the back.
Most of the time Izzy counts himself lucky he has no part in it.
Then Bonnet comes and--Edward is happy all of a sudden, because, and it takes Izzy forever to understand, Edward is in love and is loved in return whatever that might mean.
Bonnet is giving him what Izzy never could, is incapable of, and Edward blossoms under the attention and affection.
Izzy hates it, hates being jealous of Bonnet of the way they are absorbed in each other, the way Izzy has never been able to offer Edward despite loving him for years now.
He'd never thought himself broken before until he couldn't meet his captain's needs until he was forced to realize he was incapable of it. That no matter how hard he tried, something inside of him was missing, something vitally important to Edward's well-being.
