Revamped eldritch plagg! Much happier with his newer design

Powers and abilities:

Like tikki (and every other kwami) he has his basic kwami powers but now with:

- super strength (mostly with his biting power)

- Can see scent lines (takes some focus to see them)

- Highly corrosive blood, saliva, etc

- Extremely agile and fast

- Can lose teeth and grow them back almost immediately

- Extremely clear night vision and hearing

- Big mouth with a long tongue with a grabber at the end

His personality mostly remains unchanged (still enjoys the misfortune of others, a teaser, lazy) except his teasing could easily be disguised as threats he is perfectly capable of going through with. He can be quite sadistic and malevolent when he wants to be and its what he comes off as when his holder, adrien, meets him for the first time. As he warms up to him, however, its clear hes just a kooky (if unhinged) guy with an abnormal love for cheese and a bizarre sense of humor that most would find distasteful. Among the kwamis he is the second most powerful, as such he is treated as a second in command but the kind that you can joke around and have fun with but still have to be weary of because of how powerful he is.

Relationships:

Tikki - same as in show, but hes a bit more obvious with his advances to her and enjoys teasing her. Like stated previously, theyre like ying and yang and depend on each other to keep themselves anchored, they have the deepest and longest relationship of any of the kwamis (and despite what tikki protests theyre practically in love with each other, worlds cutest couple coming through)

Wang fu - same as in show but hes a bit more of a teaser with him (which ends up getting him a few bonks on the head from wang fu)

Adrien - like marinette and tikkis relationship, adrien and plaggs started off rocky with adrien mostly being terrified of plagg and plagg not exactly knowing how to interact with adrien. However because of a lack of a proper guardian in his life adrien got used to plagg and saw him as a parental figure much quicker than marinette did with tikki.

Fun facts:

- has a “unique” pallet to say the least, eats horrible people and the worse the person the tastier they are to him. Since his hunger is practically never ending he can eat as many terrible people as he wants like candy. He also has an abnormal taste for rotting flesh, human or otherwise, which is why he enjoys stinky cheese like camembert and the smell of gross socks

- His voice is brian stokes Mitchell, aka the nowhere king from centaurworld

- Like tikki he is not used to being a parental figure but takes to it quicker than she does and fully embraces being a dad

- Stays hidden by becoming a shadow, is capable of interacting with objects by touching their shadows

- Mainly uses his grabby tongue for eating cheese but also uses it to be gross and mess with people

Tis a horror show, an absolute shit-show, like I was expecting some epic showdown and I got a mediocre battle at best.

Don't even get me started on the last minute redemption arc for Gabriel, like my man didn't deserve to be redeemed. The AMOUNT OF TIMES he tried to KILL literal teenagers, including his nephew and son-- he did not deserve to be remembered as a hero. He was a villain, and he should have died as one.

And- AND there wasn't a reveal?!?!?????

8 years and still no reveal (that is in a timeline that didn't get erased or memory wiped). Like they're together, but still not?? The hell?? I am dissatisfied, disappointed and absolutely destroyed that they decided to end it that way. Like wtf?!

Things in the Miraculous movie that were way better than the show

Everything

Ok but actually, adjustments made in the movie that vastly improved the show’s canon:

Marinette’s awkwardness being equally applied to everyone she interacts with. Having her reputation be that she is a walking disaster makes Adrien’s (and Alya’s) kindness to her more impactful. Also makes Chloe’s bullying more believable. IN GENERAL makes Marinette’s character more believable.

In the same realm, the entire school and world not revolving around how perfect and cool Adrien is fixes SO. MANY. THINGS. The only person at school who seems to care about his status is Chloe, which not only makes his overall character less annoying, but also adds to Chloe’s characterization.

Speaking of Chloe, making her an actual character and not a bitch who torments her classmates relentlessly for no reason? Like yeah she’s still a bitch and a bully but she has sense of decorum and won’t take it too far if her reputation is on the line.

Sabrina having agency? Hello??

The subtilization of Marinette’s crush on Adrien. Like, hello, she has a lot of shit going on! She doesn’t have time to be swooning over her classmate all day! Yet another thing that makes her more believable.

TIKKI AND PLAGG CHOOSING THEIR OWN HOLDERS. Fuck Fu. Kwamis are literal eldritch gods, why wouldn’t they have a bit of agency?

The entire sequence of Marinette saving Fu. A clever way to have Fu meet the holder while still having Tikki be the one who chooses. Also way better storytelling for him to not intentionally put himself in danger to find a holder, makes the whole thing more organic.

The addition of the rule that the Tikki and Plagg only awaken when there’s a miraculous-level threat. Gives actual purpose to the role of the Guardian, imo.

Unpopular opinion but Tikki’s personality change was great. Once again, literal eldritch God!

Not to harp on this, but once again, the kwamis still having some level of control and AGENCY even when their holders are transformed. Tikki being in Ladybug’s yo-yo and actually guiding her was cool af and WHY WOULDN’T SHE BE ABLE TO DO THAT???

Ladybug and Chat having more general abilities BUT not having their special abilities right away. The sequence where Chat caught the invisible bullet? Cool af. And Ladybug NOT having the reset button right away really raised the stakes and honestly just felt right. It was really rewarding and triumphant when she used it towards the end.

The earrings/ring glowing as a way to communicate when one of them is not transformed. Such a good and cool idea.

Adrien and Marinette frequently hanging out together in a group with Alya and Nino without it being weird!!! Jesus!! Let the kids be kids!!!!!

Gabriel Agreste being less of a piece of shit.

Chat Noir’s “You’re my sidekick!” To, “I’m your sidekick!” progression. Followed by Ladybug’s, “we’re partners!” Immaculate.

Not exactly a question but in the finale it was revealed that tikki and plagg had true forms and the moment they were on screen I shouted the host au. Especially plagg.

i will say, I"m not the first in the book to do a little dance over eldritched vibes,

but im really glad MY eldritched Plagg is a lot more rot/mushroom adjacent than canon's, which seems to lean on prettier batlike vibes.

Miraculous Timey Wimey Lore: Kwamis

Kwami Headcanon: Tikki (Creation)

Kwamis are ancient eldritch Gods that ruled over the Heavens for years, Tikki is one of the very first Eldritch God to ever be born, created from the Big Bang of the Universe. Tikki is the other half of the God of Destruction, Plagg, her and Plagg have been together since the beginning of time. Though Tikki will not ever admit it she and Plagg are indeed in love but she won’t ever admit it since Plagg and her are always separated due to their holders. Tikki may look like a responsible Goddess but she is actually very irresponsible and while she loves following the rules she can appreciate a little chaos from here, she is actually very fond of Marinette’s clumsiness especially when it creates a little bit of chaos.

Tikki loves sweets, likes every types of sweets, from strawberry short cake to chocolate pudding, although she loves chocolate chip cookies more than anything, Tikki was very happy when she found out that Marinette lived in a bakery where delicious treats are served everyday. Tikki is very curious about the human world and enjoys learning about new things. She adores Marinette’s creativity when it comes to her fashion and her creations.

All of the seasons were created by Tikki

Spring is the season that belongs to Tikki, the season of Love was created by Tikki so her Ladybugs could find love and so humans could have a season of love. During Spring she is energetic, chatty, and an absolute matchmaker. She loves giving Marinette proper love advice and tries her best to help Marinette understand her feelings for Adrien and even help her realize her feelings for Chat Noir.

During winter she becomes slow, tired and less energetic, she is supposed to go into hibernation till the next spring but thanks to humans warm technology she is able to be kept warm and therefore does not have to go into hibernation. Even though winter is a bad season for her it is a time of warmth and love, the winter may be freezing but Tikki made sure it looked beautiful.

Fall is another season, while spring is Tikki’s favorite season fall is Tikki’s second favorite. As the leaves fade away and make way for winter Tikki it to show off the beauty of the falling of the leaves.

Summer is a time of fun and relaxation, it’s not Tikki’s favorite due to the heavy heat but she still cherishes the season

Tikki likes to use the word “Fuck”, its her favorite human curse word, “Shit” is her second favorite human curse word.

Tikki adores Alya and Nino, and dreams of being able to properly meet both of them

Tikki will come up with mischievous plans with Plagg to get Adrien and Marinette together

Tikki can get very jealous and possessive of Marinette especially when it comes to Marinette wearing or using other Miraculouses. Tikki punched Mullo after Kwamibuster when the mouse kwami kept teasing her.

Tikki can be very impulsive sometimes

Tikki has the ability to grant blessings on people but she can also create curses as well

Tikki will sometimes cry at night, hoping that one day her brothers and sisters would be safe and Nooroo and Dussu would return to them

Tikki is a little shit sometimes

Tikki has a whole wardrobe made by Marinette just for her, she doesn’t like sharing any of it.

Tikki’s old form was bland and didn’t have a lot of black, she didn’t look much like a Ladybug but that’s what Fu thought of her, after he became Guardian Tikki was stuck in that form for over 300 years, Fu only saw the kwamis as creatures that had to be locked away from the world so they didn’t have a lot of animalistic parts of the animals that they represented since they haven’t been free in 300 years and Fu didn’t see them as Gods with animal tendencies so they looked nothing like their animals.

When a new Guardian is chosen the kwamis change their forms to match how their Guardian sees them and to fit their Guardians soul. When Marinette became Guardian the kwamis forms changed and they got to have more animalistic parts. Tikki was given more black on her body to represent being a Ladybug, her tails even got bigger rather than smaller, she even had a pink glow around her, Marinette’s soul allowing them to be more free and God-like than trapped like Fu.

Paw-Pawn?] and Gabriel agreste has to fight Ladybug and save not only the world and the miraculous but also he’s son” but I doubt they’ll do that

A world in which the kwamis are evil and the Duo has to fight the eldritch monsters trying to take over their body’s meanwhile they try to find who is the poor man being used has a puppet by Nooroo which is trying to free the other kwamis to end the world

Chat blanc universe

A super futuristic world in which magic is dying and the villain is the order of the miraculous trying to resurrect magic even if that comes to a high price so they can keep existing and have meaning on their lives since they wasted hundreds of decades of their lives guarding the miraculous which will soon stop existing

A world in which humans don’t exist and instead the characters are creative monster designs

A world in which Marinette was bitten by a radioactive ladybug and Adrien has a eldritch horror alien goo named plagg which gives him super powers (yes like venom and Spider-Man)

A world in which Lila/Chloe and Marinette Swap places

The world of the movie!!! (which is very different from the series world might I mind you)

And the world of the comics (although the only difference I can remember is the American heroes and yes before you ask this is the comics the infamous Ghetto blaster came from)

There’s so many options yet I know they’ll only do the Evil universe trope instead of actually using the potential the world of miraculous has for parallel universes

You'd think for a special that seeks out to explore the multiverse, they'd do more than just your generic dystopian mirror universe where all the characters aren't made evil are part of some resistance faction judging from the trailer. There may be a chance that we'll get glimpses of other universes, but there's still going to be more focus on the "Re-Verse".

The idea of a world with Ladybug and Cat Noir being villains could work if you decided to focus on the circumstances that causes them to snap and turn to a life of crime (sort of like Spider-Carnage's backstory from the finale of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon), but given how the show handles the morality of its characters, there's a good chance that this universe's version of Ladybug and Cat Noir will just be evil for the sake of being evil. Either that, or the writers pull a cop-out and make them completely different characters, like Chloe and Lila.

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 61 - Paid in Full

            Bloody Bug and Chat Noir raced across the rooftops to the heart of Paris where Mayura rampaged. They passed the monsters that Mayura had created that wreaked havoc on the city. They witnessed the abominations destroy buildings that caught civilians in the crossfire. They had seen countless piles of debris that had been drenched in the blood of the unfortunate.

            “We have to do something to protect the people, Bug!” Chat Noir yelled.

            Bloody Bug pursed her lips as she considered what to do. They didn’t have the turtle on hand to give out. They’d have to return to their realm to retrieve it, but every second was precious. They needed to eliminate Mayura above all else. She touched her earrings as she considered a plan when they arrived at Mayura’s location. She shared a look with Chat Noir before they nodded.

            “Tikki, unify!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            “Plagg, unify!” Chat Noir yowled.

            Mayura paused as the pair of heroes transformed. Chat Noir transformed into a black cat/human hybrid with twin tails, cracks in his body that oozed green sludge, and half the size of Mayura. Bloody Bug transformed into a ladybug/human hybrid with an extra set of arms, wings, and bigger than before, but dwarfed in comparison to the others. Mayura approached Chat Noir and Bloody Bug in their new forms as she towered over them.

            Mayura grinned and swatted at Bloody Bug, but Chat Noir caught Mayura’s hand and retaliated with a punch. Bloody Bug flew up as she looked out at the city. Her heart dropped as she saw the full devastation that Mayura and her constructs had accomplished in a short period. She took a deep breath as she focused on what she wanted to create to protect the people.

            “Lucky Charm!” Bloody Bug howled.

            Light burst from Bloody Bug as thousands of little ladybugs erupted from her. They swarmed together before they split into small groups and flew off into the city. She focused on vital points for the swarms to land in. They transformed into massive ladybug shelters that emitted a beacon of red light into the sky once they had landed in each of their locations.

            “Lucky Charm.”

            Bloody Bug folded her hands over her heart and extended her arms out. Brilliant little red ladybug will o’ wisps manifested in front of her. She sent them out with a message to everyone to retreat into the ladybug shelters. To find the pillars of light that would be their salvation. She sent a special one to Ouroboros and a sister to it to communicate with him. She sent off the one with the message for Ouroboros to retreat into a shelter and be ready to use Second Chance. She placed the second one on her shoulder before she turned back to Chat Noir and Mayura.

            Bloody Bug watched the ensuing battle between Mayura and Chat Noir. Mayura kept him on his toes, but he didn’t show any doubt in his movements as he fought her. Bloody Bug sighed in relief before she turned to the matter of eliminating Mayura. It was clear to Bloody Bug that Mayura took that final step and consumed Duusu to become what she is. Bloody Bug didn’t doubt that Mayura knew given all the notes Mayura had that once belonged to Eve, and what better time to attempt it if she was going to die anyway. However it left the question of how to kill Mayura.

            Bloody Bug assumed that Mayura wasn’t human anymore. If Mayura underwent a process that consumed a tiny eldritch creature, there was no way she could be remotely human. That had to mean that killing Mayura would be no simple task, but Bloody Bug held the power of creation. Even if Bloody Bug wasn’t on Mayura’s level, she was certain that she could create something, anything, that would put an end to the mad peacock.

            Bloody Bug landed on a rooftop several blocks away. She knelt and used Lucky Charm. Ladybugs swarmed together and forged into a sniper rifle. She caught it and positioned herself with the rifle aimed at Mayura. She grabbed the bug communicator and held it up to her.

            “Ouroboros, do you copy?” Bloody Bug asked.

            “Fennec here. I’ve got Ouroboros. We’re heading to one of the shelters as we speak.”

            “Good. Let me know once you’ve arrived.”

            “We’ll be there so-.”

            Fennec was cut off by a scream followed by metal hitting concrete. Bloody Bug put the rifle down and took the bug communicator, turning it into a video screen. She watched as a monster attacked Fennec and Ouroboros. Her eyes followed Ouroboros as he retreated in a frenzied panic. Fennec yelled out for Ouroboros and ran offer him, turning his back to the monster.

            “Fennec! Look out! Don’t-!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            The monster raised a razor sharp claw and impaled Fennec with it. Bloody Bug’s heart lurched into her stomach as she stared in disbelief. She watched in shock as the monster tore Fennec’s body to shreds, leaving the fox necklace in the fleshy remains. She opened and closed her mouth as she fought to sort out everything that just happened.

            “Bug! Look out!” Chat Noir yelled.

            Bloody Bug looked up as Mayura stood over her. Chat Noir blocked Mayura’s attack and pushed her back. She took a sharp breath as she shook herself.

            “Cat! We’ve got a problem! Fennec is dead! The rest of our team is at risk!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            Chat Noir stopped dead as he looked at Bloody Bug in shock and disbelief. She opened her mouth when Mayura ran up to attack him. She grabbed the rifle and fired a quick shot at Mayura. Her blood ran cold when the bullet ricocheted off of Mayura. Mayura looked down at where the bullet hit her, then at Bloody Bug and laughed.

            “I escape death a little longer. But not you two. No you won’t. Death comes for you both. Death comes for everyone. Death comes now.”

            Mayura lunged at Chat Noir and Bloody Bug. Chat Noir scooped up Bloody Bug and ran. Bloody Bug sat in Chat Noir’s hand as she reworked her ladybug communicator. She split the one she had to carry messages to all the heroes to gather as many people as they could into the shelters and to remain in them. She had the one that was with Fennec retrieve his miraculous and return it to her.

            “What’s the plan, Bug?” Chat Noir yelled.

            “I… I don’t know! I’m having our team evacuate to safety to prevent any more losses!” Bloody Bug answered.

            “We can set things to the way they were before, right? We can get Fennec back, right?”

            Bloody Bug grimaced. “I… I’m not sure, but we need to end Mayura now before anymore are lost. I just… I don’t know what to do. I thought I created something that would kill her, but that didn’t work.”

            “Let me see the weapon.”

            Bloody Bug held up the rifle. Chat Noir glanced down at it and back up where he was going. He grimaced as he carefully touched the weapon. It shrouded in shadow as black and green mingled with the red. Bloody Bug nodded and flew up onto his shoulder. She aimed at Mayura behind them and shot at Mayura. The shot rang out as the bullet flew and hit Mayura, but the bullet ricocheted off Mayura again.

            “Fuck!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            “Please don’t tell me-,” Chat Noir started.

            “It did!”

            “What do we do?”

            Bloody Bug stared at Mayura. She looked Mayura over several times before Mayura summoned a fan and turned the blades to metal. She gasped and flew up Chat Noir’s ear.

            “Her fan. Try her fan,” Bloody Bug suggested.

            “She won’t part with it easy. I’ll need help.”

            “Got it.”

            Bloody Bug used Lucky Charm and created a flare gun. She aimed at Mayura’s face and fired a flare. It soared through the air and hit Mayura’s face. It erupted into a spectacular ladybug light show that blinded Mayura. Mayura screeched and dropped her fan as she swiped at her face. Chat Noir heel turned and dove for the fan.

            “Through her heart, Cat! Drive it through her heart!”

            Chat Noir hesitated as he stared at Mayura. Bloody Bug screamed at him to kill Mayura, but his body refused to move. Mayura blinked away the blindness as she smirked at him.

            “What’s the matter, kitty cat? Can’t finish what you started? Too scared to give me a quick death? Oh, wait, I see. You’re like me. You like to see people suffer. You like to see me suffer, don’t you? Yes, you do. Yes, you do.”

            “I-!” Chat Noir started.

            Mayura punched Chat Noir in the gut. He gasped and doubled over as he dropped the fan. Bloody Bug jumped off his head and dove for the fan. Bloody Bug darted around Mayura’s attacks and reached the fan. She grabbed it and tossed it away from Mayura as Mayura slapped her through several buildings. The fan landed near Chat Noir’s feet. He looked at it, expecting Mayura to come after it, but Mayura went after Bloody Bug.

            Chat Noir looked back down at the fan. He didn’t want to outright kill Mayura. He didn’t mean for any of this to happen. He didn’t think she would be infected with the disease if the brooch was broken. He thought it would happen if she used it again. He thought he bought them some time while Mayura was down.

            Guilt tore through Chat Noir as he recalled Fennec. They already lost one teammate because of this. Because of his mistake, and hesitance. They could lose more the longer this went on. He could lose more than just Fennec. He could lose Gallic Chick. He could lose Porcelet. He could lose Bloody Bug.

            Chat Noir’s breath caught and fear tore through him. He looked up and frantically searched for Bloody Bug. Panic consumed him when he could see Mayura or Bloody Bug. He grabbed the fan and ran. He searched the immediate area, listening for the sounds of their fighting. Relief flooded him when he heard Bloody Bug’s battle roar and Mayura’s manic cackle. He rushed to them to find Bloody Bug flying around Mayura like an annoying fly.

            Chat Noir looked back at the fan. He wasn’t sure he could make the killing blow. He wasn’t sure if this would even pierce Mayura to kill in the first place, but he had to try. He had to do something. He took several deep breaths as he psyched himself up. He took a final breath before he slinked through the shadows towards Mayura. Bloody Bug glanced at him and kept Mayura from turning towards him.

            Chat Noir inched closer as he avoided detection from Mayura. He crouched and watched Mayura. He waited for a moment for an opportunity as Bloody Bug turned Mayura completely away from him. He sucked in a breath as he lunged forward. He plunged the bladed fan into Mayura’s chest.

            Chat Noir stepped back as bright fuchsia blood trailed down from the wound. His body shook as the fan fell out of the wound and blood gushed from the wound. He swallowed hard to keep himself from throwing up as Mayura turned towards him. Mayura glared at him as she took a ragged breath and coughed up blood.

            “Even now… you cannot… you just cannot. Foolish… so… foolish.”

            Chat Noir squeaked and activated Cataclysm. He held his hand out to keep Mayura at bay as she advanced on him. He shrank back as she raised her hand to attack but stopped. His eyes widened as he saw the fan pierced through her heart. He looked up as Bloody Bug flew over Mayura.

            Bloody Bug glared at Mayura as she hovered above Chat Noir’s shoulder. Mayura looked down at her wound and laughed.

            “Very good… very good, but not done… not done… yet. Not while I… I draw… breath.”

            Bloody Bug started towards Mayura as Mayura placed a new feather into the fan. Bloody Bug and Chat Noir gasped as a massive white orb the size of an asteroid grew and hovered over the city. They gawked at it as it pulsed every few seconds that shook the ground and buildings.

            “Freedom awaits… awaits us all. No more… pain. No more… suffering. No more… blights. Only clean slate.”

            Bloody Bug’s jaw dropped as Mayura’s ramblings sank in immediately. “Cat, destroy the fan!”

            Chat Noir shook himself and lunged for Mayura, but she dodged the attack and sent him flying into a building. Chat Noir tried to recover, but Mayura pounced and pressed his hand against the road that used up his Cataclysm and destroyed the road. She grabbed him and threw him onto Bloody Bug, squashing her against the ground. Mayura smirked and ran away. Chat Noir scrambled onto his feet to give chase, but Bloody Bug pulled on his tail.

            “Ow! Hey! Let go! We need to chase her!” Chat Noir yelled.

            “No! That’s what she wants. We need to take care of this thing before it kills us all.”

            Chat Noir’s eyes widened. “What? I don’t-.”

            “She said wipe clean the slate. No more bad things. Freedom awaits. I can only imagine she intends to kill us all, and if we don’t do something and give chase, we might as well do nothing instead.”

            “What if you take care of it and I chase after her? If I catch her, I can destroy the fan, and-.”

            “No! There’s nothing stopping her from leading you away only to detonate it once she sees fit. We need to take care of it now or everything will be gone!”

            “Then… I’ll Cataclysm it. That should get rid of it, right?”

            “I don’t know, but it’s worth a shot.”

            Chat Noir leapt off the buildings towards the death orb. He activated Cataclysm and struck it. Cracks formed in the orb that marred its surface, but didn’t destroy it. He landed on the ground and stared up as it pulsed faster and more frequent. The ground and environment broke and fell apart with each new pulse.

            “Oh no! That only made it worse!” Chat Noir yowled.

            “Quick! Get down!” Bloody Bug instructed.

            Chat Noir hit the ground behind Bloody Bug as she used her Lucky Charm to create more ladybug shelters. She put one over the of them, another over the entire city, and the final one around the orb. She struggled with each new pulse to maintain the shield as cracks formed in it. He curled around her and watched the struggle until the orb exploded.

            Bloody Bug grunted as she fought to contain the energy in the first shelter that held the orb. She maintained it for a minute before it shattered. She took a sharp breath as she shifted her focus to the shield over the city, but cracks formed in it fast. She gave up on it as it shattered and she focused on the smaller shelters as the energy crashed down into them.

            Chat Noir grabbed Bloody Bug and held her close. They listened to the whirl of energy around them accompanied by horrific, blinding light. She blocked out the storm as best as she could to focus on the shelters as they held throughout it.

            The raging storm of energy hushed, and the light faded away. Chat Noir slowly uncurled from the ball he was in and looked around. He grimaced as the city laid in ruin. Buildings reduced to their foundation with the debris scattered through the streets. Bloody Bug lowered the shelter as they saw the city was covered in a white dust that gave it an eerie look.

            “Mayura really intended to destroy us all, didn’t she?” Chat Noir whispered.

            “I think so. I really do.”

            “Why? What did she have to gain from this?”

            “I don’t know, but I have an idea where we’ll find answers: Duusu.”

            “That’s… oh no. We don’t know where she went. We don’t know where Duusu is. He could be anywhere!”

            “Right. Well, let’s just-.”

            “Bloody Bug! Chat Noir!” Pom Pom yelled.

            Bloody Bug and Chat Noir turned as Pom Pom stumbled into the area. Bloody Bug’s eyes widened seeing Pom Pom’s red, puffy face. She held out her arms as Pom Pom jumped into them and sobbed.

            “Pom Pom, what’s wrong? Are you ok? What happened?” Bloody Bug asked.

            Pom Pom opened her mouth but only managed a choked sob before she broke down into another crying fit. Bloody Bug cradled Pom Pom as more of their team found them. Chat Noir furrowed his brow as each of their heads were lowered as if in mourning. He opened his mouth as Gallic Chick and Outlaw approached him. Gallic Chick looked at him with dark eyes as she held out the pig miraculous.

            Chat Noir’s eyes widened as he took the anklet. He shook his head as he desperately looked around for Sabrina, but didn’t see her with anyone present.

            “Please, please tell me it isn’t true,” Chat Noir begged.

            “I’m sorry. That orb exploded while we were helping more people. Outlaw got me in the shelter in time, but not Porcelet. We…,” Gallic Chick trailed off as she broke down in tears.

            “Assuming she told you, I didn’t get Porcelet into the shelter in time. She was hit with whatever was in that thing and her body disintegrated,” Outlaw finished in English.

            Chat Noir’s breath caught as he looked down in disbelief. He de-unified from Plagg and ran up to Gallic Chick. Bloody Bug furrowed her brows and looked at Pom Pom. She opened her mouth when Pom Pom showed her the monkey miraculous.

            “Oh, oh, Pom Pom. What… what happened?”

            “She… she… she… she died saving me!” Pom Pom wailed.

            Bloody Bug gasped as she held Pom Pom tighter. “I’m here. I’m here. Let it all out.”

            “Bloody Bug!” Marinette yelled.

            Bloody Bug looked up in surprise to see Hydra and Crimson Tiger arrive with Marinette and Nino. She furrowed her brow as Marinette and Nino rushed towards her with red, puffy, tear-stained faces. She waited as Marinette held out the bee miraculous.

            Bloody Bug’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped. She took the bee miraculous and gawked at it. So far, they had lost Fennec, Badb, Porcelet, and Bomb Bee. They needed to see if any others were lost.

            “Spread out! Search for anyone that might be missing. Check on the people that survived and help them look for their loved ones. Do everything you can!” Bloody Bug instructed.

            Everyone nodded and left except for Gallic Chick, Outlaw, and Pom Pom. Gallic Chick and Chat Noir comforted each other while Bloody Bug soothed Pom Pom.

            “Bloody Bug? Do you… do you think you could use those little ladybug things that can fix everything?” Marinette asked.

            “Yeah. Do you think it could bring back Alya?” Nino asked.

            Bloody Bug furrowed her brow as she shifted. She thrust her hand in the air as she summoned the ladybugs back to her.

            “Miraculous!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            The ladybugs flew up and erupted into light as they flew around, but as they did, nothing was fixed.

            “What happened? Why didn’t they fix anything?” Nino asked.

            Bloody Bug hummed as she looked around at the dust-coated debris, then at Chat Noir. “Hey, Cat, I want to try something. Go primal again.”

            Chat Noir looked up at Bloody Bug weakly and nodded. He unified again with Plagg and transformed into Primal Chat Noir. Bloody Bug flew up and hovered in front of him.

            “I don’t know if this will work, but let’s give it a try. Together, let’s use the Miraculous thing. Ready?” Bloody Bug asked.

            Chat Noir stared bleakly at Bloody Bug before he lazily lifted his arm. “Miraculous.”

            Shadows gathered at Chat Noir’s feet as an army of black cats burst out. Chat Noir gasped and scooped up Gallic Chick as the black cats rampaged and tore through the city. They destroyed the debris and left behind black and green sludge.

            “Miraculous!” Bloody Bug yelled.

            Ladybug burst out in a bright light and followed the path of the black cats, creating in the wake of their destruction. They watched as the city was rebuilt in a matter of seconds.

            “Incredible,” Bloody Bug breathed.

            “But what about the dead?” Nino called.

            “I don’t think they’re coming back,” Pom Pom whimpered.

            Bloody Bug sighed. “We’ll find out, but I fear you are right.”

            “Is there a way we can bring them back with the miraculous? Is there maybe a fusion we could use or something?”

            Bloody Bug grimaced. “I’m… I’m not sure. For now, let’s see to the people and count all the loses, ok?”

            Pom Pom gave a weak nod and jumped out of Bloody Bug’s arms. Bloody Bug watched Pom Pom leave before she turned to Chat Noir.

            “Hey, I’m going to check in on some people. You… why don’t you stay here with Gallic Chick?”

            Chat Noir didn’t respond, but de-unified from Plagg. Bloody Bug gave him one final look before she flew off across the city. She was relieved to see the other heroes doing their part to assist the citizens in finding their loved ones. She landed a few times to get information about the efforts. She frowned as each new report mirrored the last of countless missing people. She feared that the Miraculous wouldn’t restore the people that were lost, and she was right.

            Bloody Bug hovered above the city as she considered what to do. They could surely use the power of the miraculous to bring back the dead, but to what extent? How would they be brought back? For how long? Would it be permanent, or would it only be temporary? If they could only bring back a few, could they just bring back their friends or would that be too suspicious?

            Bloody Bug shook her head and headed for home. She ducked down into an alley several blocks away, went a long way to ensure she wasn’t being followed before she went home. She paused outside the Louvre where a large crowd gathered around Hydra and Crimson Tiger as they clamored over them. Alix looked around before she approached the pair of heroes. Hydra saw Alix approach and stepped away from the crowd with Alix.

            “Hey, so, what do we do? We’ve done what we can to reunite these people, but there are so many missing. What do we tell them? Do we keep looking?”

            Alix sighed. “Tell them to return to their homes. Wait there before filing a missing person’s report. At least that way we’ll have some idea of the total of casualties.”

            “Are you sure? Maybe we could-.”

            “I don’t have any idea of what we could do right now. Not when the Miraculous crap didn’t restore everything lost. It’s just… it’s just better to have them return home.”

            “And what of Mayura?”

            Alix sighed again. “She’s likely dead, which means her miraculous is out there. With any luck, either we find it or her kwami returns to us. If not, let’s just hope it doesn’t fall into bad hands.”

            Hydra grimaced. “Uh, well, ok. And us? Do you want us to go home after we see to the people?”

            “Yes. Return home to your loved ones. Cherish them, if they’re still there.”

            Hydra didn’t say anything but nodded.

            Alix turned and headed to her home. She stepped inside to the sitting room where Alim and Amelie sat. She let out a breath of relief until Amelie saw her and nudged Alim’s shoulder. Alim turned and gawked at Alix with a tear-stained face. New tears fell from his eyes as he ran and hugged her.

            “Alix, thank goodness. I was so worried.”

            “Dad, I’m fine. I… I’m fine.”

            “I… I know. You’re strong and brave, just like your mother. I just… I didn’t want… I couldn’t….”

            Alix furrowed her brow as her blood ran cold. “Dad, what happened?

            Alim stepped back as he looked down at Alix with dark eyes. “Alix… Jalil… he’s-.”

            Alix’s eyes widened as she ran down the hall before Alim could finish. She threw open the door to the workshop that Jalil spent every minute in. Her heart fell as it was empty with even his papers gone. She rushed up the stairs to his room, hoping he would be there, but when she burst into it, it was empty. She ran back downstairs to Alim.

            “Please, please tell me he’s just in the Louvre. Please tell me this is just a really sick and messed up joke the two of you are playing. Don’t tell me… don’t tell me that he’s… he’s… gone,” Alix begged.

            Alim looked in Alix’s eyes, then at the floor. “I’m sorry.”

            Tears trickled from Alix’s eyes before the flood gates burst and tears gushed. She threw her arms around Alim as she broke down into sobbing fits. Alim held her close as they both mourned their loss. She cursed Mayura silently for everything that would have been fine if not for Mayura. They’d still have all their friends. She’d still have Jalil. The whole city, if not the world, wouldn’t have suffered these losses.

            Alix took solace in one fact. Mayura was now dead. Even if the peacock was still missing, she took comfort in knowing that Mayura was gone. It was finally over, and they didn’t have to worry about Mayura anymore.

Now Miraculous fans, here me out:

Kwamis, but they’re eldritch horrors.

I mean some real terrifying shit — biblically accurate angels, wendigo, some uncanny valley, or that unnerving stuff you get when you search up dream core on pinterest. They’re ancient gods, basically. Make them horrifying, or at the very least regally monstrous.

Or make them divine and revered, maybe they’d have more then one form: a pocket sized Kwami form, as per canon; a godly ‘true’ form, something similar to the Plagg and Tikki true forms in the s5 finale; an animalistic form, based upon whatever creature they guard; and their horror form, born out of true rage or malice or even fear.
