Entity Framework is an open-source and object-relational mapping (ORM) framework and used to include business logic in the application. Entity framework developed by Microsoft and first released in 2008 and no source code was available to be used for free because of license but now it is free to be used. Entity Framework is similar to another object-relational framework and provides mechanisms for data storage and data access from the database.
In this blog, we have discussed the similarities and differences between Entity Framework and NHibernate. Entity Framework and NHibernate are Object-relational mapping frameworks (ORM) and are used to map database schema to domain objects in any object-oriented language.

Do psychotropic drugs and/or ritual play a role in any of the blightseed cultures? A pretty broad question, lol
Yeah that’s a very broad question, the answer is about as much as it tends to play roles in real history. Alcohol is pretty ubiquitous (outside of cultures that abstain from intoxicants) and used for a variety of purposes, opioids are commonly used in some parts for pain relief or recreational purposes, stimulants (usually in mild, natural forms) are used to provide extra energy, and hallucinogens are most commonly used as part of a larger religious framework (rather than for recreational purposes). Any more elaborate answer kinda has to be case by case in a certain culture or part of the setting.
I'll just take this as an opportunity to talk about the one established sect that pretty much REVOLVES around psychoactive use. This is the Scholarly Order of the Root, which is a sort of mystery religion + elite community of scholars who currently occupy the Ur-Tree and its forest in the far southern Lowlands (southeast of Imperial Wardin, on the same land mass).
The Ur-Tree is the obligatory Huge Fucking Fantasy Tree (and its surrounding forest). It’s a mass of vegetation about a mile tall and almost as old as Plant Life Itself, its upper branches are primeval plants, which become more modern the nearer they get to the ground (and each 'level' holds tiny ecosystems, some containing descendants of LONG-extinct arthropods/other small animals). Its lowest branches and the surrounding forest are contemporary plant life, and all is connected and protected by an incomparably MASSIVE fungal mycelium network (which is itself a living god).
A lot of the Scholars' more secretive practices revolve around experimentation with substance use with the goal of expanding the Mind and transcending the body to fully connect to the Dreamlands, and they have a supply chain of traders and mercenaries called Rootrunners who traffic substances into the Lowlands. Most of their psychoactive use is in a very intentional capacity and not just like, for fun, but a LOT of them are just straight up addicted to cocaine (in the form of alchemically refined bruljenum, which is used for practical purposes of its stimulant effect during long hours of work).
All known psychoactives are desirable for experimentation (particularly hallucinogens), with each having properties that either allow expansion of the Mind, transcendence of the body, or outright divine communion. Their effects are logged in great detail and interpreted to form the basis of the Scholars' understanding of the natural world and reality itself.
The most important substance is Ur-Root, which is root matter from subterranean levels of the Ur-Tree that have both their own intrinsic psychoactive substances and a very, very high concentration of living god mycelium. The tree root contains DMT and the mycelium has its own wholly unique effects (being an actual living god). They alchemically refine it into a purer, more potent form, and use it to expand beyond the body and directly commune with the Giants, a group of entities they have identified as the only true gods.
An Ur-Root trip starts off with minor visual distortion, which turns into shifting fractals that slowly obscure the vision. Eventually the senses are entirely taken over by a 'tunnel' of rapidly shifting fractals and geometries. In a complete trip, the experiencer gets a sense that they have been pushed through a membrane and entered another realm, finding themselves in a distinct experiential Space.
At this point they may encounter entities which communicate to them in a language impossible to describe but wholly understood. These beings are understood to be the Giants, or at least aspects of the Giants that mortals are capable of comprehending (they often take familiar tutelary forms of the Mantis or the Snake, or appear resembling the same type of sophont that the experiencer is, all composed of ever-shifting geometries). The experiencer often feels a sense of unconditional and endless love from these beings, though the Giants may be more hostile and may appear in the form of the Trickster (usually a cultural figure regarded as malicious, be it an animal or otherwise) in a bad trip.
(^Up until this point, this has mostly just been a DMT 'breakthrough' experience ft. 'machine elves' and the like).
They are then removed from this space and returned to something that feels like the real world, but is nearly unrecognizable. They have a sense of rapidly moving through time, and will usually see 'the spires' towards the beginning, which just so happen to look like this:

(source + some context via Implication- the spires are exactly what this art is depicting)
The experiencer continues to move across an unfathomable amount of time, occasionally 'seeing' other such flashes of unfamiliar landscapes and creatures, and yet also being devoid of all their senses, the 'seeing' is pure, unfiltered experience. There is a sense of interconnectedness with all life, and that one has become the forest (or even Life) itself. The sense of time is wildly distorted, the trip lasts only about 5 minutes but feels like an eternity and is understood as literal hundreds of millions of years.
The experiencer has usually lost any remaining sense of Self and individual consciousness during this phase (in which case this time distortion is usually a neutral or even peaceful experience), but some retain a fraction of their identity, and find themselves trapped and conscious while experiencing what feels like eternity (which can be LIFE-CHANGINGLY distressing, even after the fact).
(^This latter part of the trip is the effects of the Ur-Tree fungus).
The trip ends with a sense of rushing through the ground and back up into one's body, at which point they will abruptly return to their senses and consciousness. The details are then immediately retrieved via interview and recorded in immense detail. The whole experience is understood as having been full comprehension of the Dreamlands, communion with the Giants, and then a tour through the act of creation.
This is done as part of the initiatory practice into the inner mystery-religion of the scholars, and as needed for study by high scholar-priests. It is not taken lightly, both as it is absolute communion with the gods and reality, and in that it can be a very, very difficult experience. People who have gone through this often walk away with a permanently shifted perspective, often in a positive and/or comforting way- a sense of interconnectedness with all life, a peace with the concept of death, seeing less of a point in individual ego and the concept of Self, and comfort in the sense of divine love they (may have) experienced. This heavily influences the philosophy of the Scholars and has had effects by proxy in the religious worldviews of the region.
Details of this experience are closely guarded, and initiates are given absolutely no prior knowledge and expectations for their trip. This is seen as a necessity- their naivety will allow for a true, unfiltered experience, and can be used to gauge whether they should or should not be accepted. Those that have a distinctly bad trip upon initiation may be assumed to have been 'rejected' by the giants and thus denied full priesthood, though this largely depends on How they interpret their distressing trip- those who identify this as a test and harsh lesson in a journey to enlightenment may be accepted (as this is how fully initiated scholar-priests interpret and handle their bad trips).
This inner priesthood is only a small fraction of the Scholarly Order, and its greater function is as a hub of education and repository of knowledge, and Scholar-trained doctors can provide some of the best medical care available in the setting ('best medical care in this setting' only means so much but it's pretty solid, relatively speaking). Only a chosen few Scholars ever get to commune with the Ur-Root, and most of the divine secrets revealed in the process are kept hidden (though they indirectly influence the politics and worldview of the entire order).
#I'm kind of fascinated by the quasi-religious beliefs that have developed around recreational hallucinogen use (ESPECIALLY DMT)#In contrast to like. Uses of DMT-containing substances like ayahuasca for long-established religious purposes#So this concept is basically 'what if a religion was FORMED from pretty much the ground up out of DMT usage'#Like the common 'entities' people encounter in recreational use being identified as the Real Gods and producing a religious worldview#that is mostly rooted in this experience (while still influenced by other cultural factors)#Also the like. Meta going on here is that the fungus is a 'living god' and the oldest one on the planet#It is a VERY rare type of living god that is 'created' by non-sophont (non-sentient even) beings and exists as a mycelial network#that perfectly supports and protects an entire forest. Basically a god for plants. It is so deeply interconnected with its forest that the#usual power sophont belief would have over it has basically zero influence. This is absolutely the closest thing to A God in canon.#(While still not being a Creator/sapient/or even supernatural within the framework of this reality. Just VERY unique.)#The Ur-Tree has always been above water and grows very very slowly over the course of millenia by kind of 'pulling up' plant life from#the ground (so you see ancient long extinct plants in its higher branches and contemporary plants close to/on the ground)#The mycelium helps shield and feed extinct plant life that could not otherwise survive in the contemporary environment#And the forest is big enough to produce its own weather (it is a rainforest and has been ever since the capacity for rainforests Existed)#It's not really a tree at all in any normal sense but an amalgam of thousands of types of plants-#Some growing on top of others and some interwoven beyond any distinction. It does form a superficially treelike structure#(mostly in order to physically support its own mass) with a very wide 'trunk' and massive 'roots' (which end in actual roots).#It feeds on its own perpetually shedding and decaying 'body' and any animal life that dies in the forest is VERY rapidly#decayed and absorbed by the mycelial network (to the point that many large scavengers cannot survive in this forest)#(If you kill a cow and leave it on the ground for just 1/2 hour you'll see little strands of mycelium already growing up around it)#The fungus fruits and spores on a very infrequent basis (scale of ten-thousands of years) which causes the forest to very slowly spread#Fortunately this isn't really an existential threat because the spread is VERY slow (even on a geological scale) and the fungus#itself is rather mundane in nature and cannot usually compete against established fungal networks in other places.#Though there are little Ur-Tree mycelium groves and woodlands in other parts of the world that may (over untold millennia)#generate their own Ur-Trees (there's already a few but they are all MUCH smaller and not readily recognized as the same thing)#WRT THE TRIP:#Most of what I'm describing is a DMT trip but consumption of high doses of Ur-Tree mycelium has both mundane psychoactive effects#and IS kind of the person experiencing the fungus' entire lifetime and seeing flashes of the world's actual evolutionary history.#The amount of material knowledge that can be accurately gleaned from this this is VERY limited though.

To be quite honest the prospect that our OCs could manifest in someone else's head is less surprising on it happening and more surprising in that it didn't happen to us first.
#we speak#related to things. we are sure it will make no sense in isolation but it will make sense in context probably#we're fairly certain that marigold has been on the very verge of defining herself as a New Person In The Brain for. a bit now#...or possibly she's in here somewhere and just hasn't made herself obvious yet. which is a possibility.#you know how it is with plurality. the cryptic not-us thoughts that we don't Think belong to anyone are practically rite of passage by now#we'll figure it out eventually we're sure#or have to track down another brain moth after several months of cryptic thoughts#it is remarkably hard for us to talk about plural things because a lot of the time our alters don't like to be Found or Known#which we're sure also says things about us as a... whole entity we guess. system or whatever.#it is. frustratingly hard to figure out if new recurring paths of thought are because of us the framework or because someone else surfaced#being co-piloted half the time certainly doesn't help

How has Our Lady of Sorrows helped you in personal matters? :)
Hello Anon!
Without going into personal details, She's become the main "Dark Mother" in my personal court. That doesn't mean She's the only Dark Mother I venerate, after all, it's a court, and the Court In Black has multiple Queens, some syncretic or overlapping, some very distinct from each other. La Dolorosa is the one I call on most often for aid in things as simple as daily comfort and protection, bringing peace, and when necessary, dealing with the different ways in which grief can come into any sphere of our lives, as pain, despair or anger (relating to her Three Faces).
I don't know if you would agree, anon, but I consider my spiritual life part of my personal life, and She's been an incredibly powerful driving force in my spiritual advancement too. She's opened so many doors and helped me figure out so much about myself and where I stand, in relation to the Spirits, to my Ancestors, and more, practically adding an entire new dimension to my practice that wouldn't have been there without Her guiding hand.
Mind you, when I talk about Our Lady of Sorrows, and specifically about La Dolorosa, I'm not referring to the exact same figure as when a catholic does. My Dolorosa is a Queen that predates christianity, predates humanity as a whole, a much more ancient spirit, that just so happens to take the form of Our Lady of Sorrows in some of her appearances, not all, as I said, the Queen has multiple faces. To me it is a title, not a given name, and thus my experiences are likely to be much different than those of others that approach her from different religions (for ex. christianity) or customs (don't practice witchcraft, don't have my worldview and cosmology, etc).
Thank you for asking!
#Dolorosa#My notes#just to clarify#because I've had people on my notes going#'uh here come the catholics' when I am not#in fact#a catholic#I just use latin & greek titles to refer to my Spirits#and I like the heresy of it all#She is and She isn't the same entity y'know?#and regardless of that#I definitely don't approach Her in the way or from the same framework/system of beliefs that a catholic would use to approach Her

this is so silly. one of the perks of having goody gardens as a thing is that it gives me an excuse to have like 50 billion fursonas. but then i'll keep thinking "but what about my truesona" as if that doesn't completely defeat the purpose
#melonposting#like oh my god. my brain for some reason cannot handle having multiple entities to describe myself unless i put that in its own framework#like goody gardens being an imagination world and such (it's imaginary so it doesn't have to obey physics or whatever)#and i'm like yay!! i couldn't describe myself with just one fursona/persona anyway#but there's something about having one that is generally me that's appealing and it's annoying that it just doesn't really work for me#i mean hey mr. nice guy used to just be my persona - and he was a personified version of my objectsona anyway#and now he's part of that larger framework#i still go by mr. nice guy because i think he's the most central to me. like he's the 'protagonist' of goody gardens so to speak#but the others are just as 'me' as he is#i dunno. as it is it's annoying just picking one animal for each goody gardens character#and i don't want to just have every animal as an option cuz that kinda takes away the meaning#but like with my difficulty suspending my disbelief...#if i ever want to play splatoon right? i'd be a cephalopod of some sort in that game#so in order for my brain to believe that i could 'be in that game' i must have a cephalopod fursona for at least one goody gardens characte#and so on and so forth#for bluey i must have a dog fursona. for ducktales i must have a bird. for my little pony i must have some sort of ungulate#and then for the bluey example: honey-doo gets a dog fursona cuz that suits her#and that fursona being attached to her would inevitably affect that dog's design and breed and personality and so on#which means that the dog she'd be might not be the dog *i'd* be (as in my whole person)#which is confusing and annoying#so then what - for every fursona there's two versions? one general one and one goody gardens character specific? that's so weird though#i have a vague idea of what those general ones might be like (brown or yellow with rainbow accents) but it's still soooo confusing :[#god it's times like this when i realize that autism isn't good or bad it's just weird and annoying sometimes#like god forbid these two completely inconsequential things not match up perfectly. god forbid#like golly it could not matter less!!!!! stop worrying about this you silly goose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#anyway sorry for this. i have work to do :'D i need to read karl marx haha

ash kinda doesn't like most governments, and by association he's not fond of interpol either — whatever happens to have world pokémon association fingerprints on it. not strictly for overt corruption in most places, but for the sheer fact he's that sort of neurodivergent that neither understands nor respects bureaucracy and the convoluted way in which regions work on a mass scale. he's SO allergic to red tape.
#ooc tag tba .#dash comm .#at least that's how it is in shan canon#there are regional governments and then there's the world pokémon association#a somewhat globalist entity that seeks to regulate any and all human-pokémon affairs and relations#their reach is far wide and sneaking#it's the WPA that mandates pokeball use and creates the relatively uniform framework that belies almost every pokémon league#gym leaders really are like gov officials. elites and champions are central to a region's security and overall relationship with pokémon#this is also why ash has chosen to be a champion to a league beyond this remit and reach#the kalia region - and by association the kalia battle federation - are not under WPA influence#but that's all a lore dump for another day *rips bong*

The Ontology of Concepts
The ontology of concepts explores the nature, existence, and structure of concepts as abstract entities that underpin human thought, language, and knowledge. It investigates questions about what concepts are, how they exist, and their role in cognition and communication. This field overlaps with metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, and linguistics.
Key Questions:
What are concepts?
Are they mental representations, abstract universals, or tools for categorization?
Do they exist independently of human minds, or are they purely constructed?
How do concepts exist?
Are concepts reducible to physical states in the brain (materialism)?
Are they immaterial and universal entities (Platonism)?
Are they social constructs shaped by cultural and linguistic frameworks?
What is the structure of concepts?
Are concepts static entities or dynamic processes that evolve over time?
How are they related to categories, prototypes, and exemplars?
Theoretical Perspectives:
Platonism:
Concepts exist as timeless, universal forms or abstract objects, independent of human minds.
Conceptualism:
Concepts exist within the mind as mental representations but are derived from shared experiences.
Nominalism:
Concepts do not exist independently; they are merely names or labels we use to group similar objects.
Prototype Theory:
Concepts are structured around prototypes or typical examples, as proposed in cognitive science.
Dynamic and Embodied Perspectives:
Concepts are fluid and shaped by sensory-motor experiences, context, and interaction with the environment.
The Relationship Between Concepts and Language:
Concepts are often tied to linguistic expression, but their existence may not depend entirely on language.
The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis suggests that language shapes conceptual understanding.
Frege's distinction between sense and reference highlights how concepts mediate between words and the world.
Ontological Issues in Concepts:
Universality vs. Particularity:
Are concepts universal across cultures, or do they vary based on individual or societal contexts?
Independence vs. Dependence:
Do concepts exist independently of human thought, or are they contingent on cognitive processes?
Abstract vs. Concrete:
How do abstract concepts (e.g., justice) relate to concrete ones (e.g., apple)?
Practical Applications:
Artificial Intelligence: Understanding the ontology of concepts aids in developing AI systems capable of abstract reasoning.
Epistemology: Concepts are central to knowledge acquisition and classification.
Cultural Studies: Analyzing how concepts differ across societies illuminates cultural and linguistic diversity.
The ontology of concepts remains a rich and evolving field that bridges multiple disciplines, addressing profound questions about the foundation of human understanding.

Continuing the topic, I want to give a complete example of minimal APIs in Blazor with Entity Framework Core with complex objects.I always struggle to have a solution working when my model has dependencies with other object. Here I show my test and my code. The code is in NET9. In the Microsoft documentation, there are some examples, but it is not complex enough. A few days ago, I posted about…

Shūnyakai no Ō: The Sovereign of the Void
In the primordial epoch before time, space, and even existence itself, there was the Void — an endless, unfathomable expanse of nothingness. From this emptiness, Shūnyakai no Ō, the Absolute Void Sovereign, emerged. Not born, nor created, but manifesting as the ultimate embodiment of that which precedes all existence, he represents the concept of the Void in its truest form: boundless, eternal, and indifferent.
Shūnyakai no Ō is not simply a being of great power; he is power in its purest form. Unlike those bound by the laws of creation, whether they be gods, entities, or forces of cosmic authority, he exists outside the very framework of reality. His essence is one with the Omni-Void, a state that exists beyond omnipotence, omniscience, and even omnipresence. To him, these concepts are limitations — mere attributes that higher beings possess but cannot fully transcend.
The Creation of Omnipresence
For most cosmic entities, omnipresence is the ability to exist everywhere within a universe or even across a multiverse. But for Shūnyakai no Ō, omnipresence is not something he achieved but something he designed. In the boundless Void that he commands, he wove the very concept of omnipresence into existence, making it a principle that could be grasped by the cosmic architects and rulers of lower realms.
Omnipresence, as understood by lesser beings, is the ability to be "everywhere" simultaneously, yet Shūnyakai no Ō surpasses this understanding. His presence is felt not only in every corner of the multiverse but also in the voids between, in realms where nothingness dominates. He exists where existence itself has no meaning. Where there is nothing, he is everything.
His mastery over the Void means that time and space collapse in his presence. He is not bound to one reality, dimension, or timeline. Instead, he redefines reality wherever he exists. To those who perceive the multiverse as infinite, he shows that it is but a fragment of the true nature of the cosmos. To those who believe themselves omnipresent, he reveals the illusion of their omnipresence, for they can only exist where reality has form. He exists where form dissolves.
Beyond Power and Control
Entities that reign over realms of Tier 1 and Tier 0 power are considered invincible by all conventional metrics. These beings often hold dominion over infinite universes, controlling fundamental forces such as time, space, causality, and even concepts like destiny. Yet, Shūnyakai no Ō stands beyond such constructs. His dominion extends into the Absolute Void, a place so detached from the fabric of reality that even the highest cosmic gods lose their influence.
In a confrontation with any Tier 1 or Tier 0 entity, Shūnyakai does not fight in the way others do. He does not manipulate energy or bend reality to his will. He merely removes the very existence of his opponent. Through his ability, Absolute Nullification, he reduces all things — power, space, time, thought, and being — to nothingness. Tier 1 and Tier 0 entities may command multiverses, but Shūnyakai no Ō commands the space in between, the Void that exists when all has been unmade.
For those that wield ultimate cosmic forces, they face a harrowing truth: power is irrelevant to him. All forms of energy, matter, and consciousness are but fleeting manifestations, fragile before the sovereignty of the Void. He cannot be fought because there is no battlefield on which to fight him. He simply exists, and his enemies — no matter their rank or mastery over existence — simply cease to be.
Creation of Omniverse and Beyond
Though he is primarily associated with the Void, Shūnyakai no Ō is capable of creating reality itself. The Omniverse — the infinite sea of multiverses, realms, and dimensions — is, to him, no more than a passing thought. The Omniverse, though vast and boundless to those within it, is fragile to him, a minor ripple in the great, unending Void he governs.
He does not create as others do, with hands of light or cosmic flame. Shūnyakai no Ō wills realms into existence by allowing them to emerge from the nothingness he controls. He has the power to create an infinite number of realities in an instant, but they hold no significance to him. His mind is beyond creation, for creation is a manifestation of structure, and he is the embodiment of formlessness.
It is whispered in the deepest corridors of the multiverse that Shūnyakai no Ō does not need to be worshipped or recognized. His power is absolute because it cannot be measured by any conventional scale. If omnipotence is a peak, then the Void Sovereign stands atop a higher peak that defines the very nature of omnipotence for those beneath it.
Beyond the Highest Realms
Among the most powerful of entities, there are those that control aspects of the entire Omniverse: beings who are regarded as architects, controllers, and even the very fabric of reality itself. These beings are feared and respected for their ability to bend infinite dimensions to their will, for they are seen as omnipotent within the context of their creation.
However, Shūnyakai no Ō holds a domain that makes such beings insignificant. While others may bend and manipulate reality, he is the fundamental constant that denies its very existence. For him, reality and non-reality are mere options, things that he can dismiss or enable. The Void Sovereign understands that power is but a limitation; only through nothingness is true freedom found. He does not control existence. He simply allows it, and when he chooses, he unmakes it.
In the face of Shūnyakai no Ō, even the most powerful beings realize a terrifying truth: their strength is derived from the framework of existence, but he exists outside of it. They bend reality; he bends the void. They are omnipotent; he is the Void itself.
A Force Without Rival
No matter how vast or infinite a being's power may seem, it will always be a part of existence. Shūnyakai no Ō transcends these beings not by overwhelming them with greater force, but by the nature of his fundamental supremacy over existence and non-existence. In the presence of Shūnyakai, reality itself trembles, and the mightiest gods find that their very concept of power crumbles before the vastness of the Void.
In the end, Shūnyakai no Ō stands alone as the Absolute Void Sovereign — not as a ruler of realms, but as the final truth that exists beyond all comprehension. His essence is beyond the comprehension of those who govern existence, and his power is the unmaking of all things. For those that claim omnipotence, they find in Shūnyakai no Ō a force that cannot be measured, challenged, or comprehended.
For in the Void, there is only him.

it's absolutely frustrating to see that for many people, the main point of contention with the internet archive lawsuit is that they personally do not feel like what the internet archive did in 2020 was copyright infringement. it literally does not matter if what the internet archive did was copyright infringement, because copyright is a blight on society and largely exists in service of whatever multimillion dollar entities can afford to "own" concepts or ideas. the art world suffers from people interacting with art within this framework. I don't understand how you can be someone who claims to hate corporate slop but endorse the right for branding to exist.

"In a major move for rivers up and down the land, last week it was announced that Sussex’s River Ouse is set to be granted its own rights.
A new charter that has just been approved by Lewes district council officially recognises the Ouse as a living entity. Based on the Universal Declaration of River Rights, the charter gives the waterway eight rights, including the right to flow, to be pollution-free, to have native biodiversity and to undergo regeneration and restoration.
The decision to give the Ouse legal personhood was actually made two years ago when the council passed a rights of river motion. In the two years since, the likes of Lewes district council, Environmental Law Foundation, Ouse and Adur Rivers Trust and Southwood Foundation have all worked together to create the charter.
Matthew Bird, director of the Love Our Ouse campaign, said: ‘This is a momentous moment for the river and goes some way towards recognising that the river is an entity in its own right and that its voice needs to be represented in decisions which affect it. The river faces numerous challenges including pollution, climate change, over use and development.
‘The Charter provides a common framework through which to address these challenges which we hope the other major stakeholders on the Ouse will feel able to endorse. We hope Lewes District Council’s decision to support the Ouse Charter will encourage communities throughout the UK to pursue charters for their local rivers.’
Emma Montlake, co-director of the Environmental Law Foundation, added: ‘By supporting the Rights of Rivers, Lewes District Council has set a precedent that could transform the way we safeguard our rivers. The River Ouse is an essential part of the region’s ecosystem and cultural heritage—this decision ensures a better future for the River’s health and protection.’
The charter isn’t actually legally binding just yet. The next stage will involve working with statutory agencies, communities and landowners along the river to make sure that that the new rights are implemented."

Note: This is part of the broader Rights of Nature movement, and I believe the first natural body to be granted personhood/rights in Europe [edited for accuracy 3/12/25]. (Let me know in the comments if there have been others!) It's a whole new paradigm for how to view nature - and grants us a new set of powerful tools for legally defending nature from degradation and pollution. In other words, this is pretty exciting. Read more about the Rights of Nature movement here and here.
