hi! as you might have heard, my good friend sam @bitewounded passed away last week and we wanted to create a place to honor his memory digitally. jen and i made a creative minecraft server (java, 1.20.6) for friends of sam to build things in honor of him and leave notes/stories. people will be able to access the server through august 14th and build whatever they'd like in his honor, but please try to keep things near spawn so that they can be easily accessed. the server will culminate in a memorial ceremony where people will be invited to speak if they wish that will be streamed on twitch (channel tbd) on august 14th, starting at 8pm est/5pm pst. after the memorial, the server will close and the world download will be made available for all of us to remember sam. if you knew sam and would like to participate in this server, please send me a dm with your minecraft username and i'll whitelist you and send you the ip. also, feel free to reblog this post to spread the word. we want to make sure this reaches as many of his friends as possible.

Tegnap este végignéztem ezt a videót (és a két folytatását).

3x nagyjából 10-15 perc arról, hogy egy Samuil nevű jakut faszi kiköltözik a szibériai erdőbe és él egyedül évtizedekig, a napjai java része azzal tellik, hogy fát vág a kandallóba, hogy ne fagyjon meg. Nyulakat csapdázik, hogy ehessen, szórakozása arról szól, hogy sokéves újságokat, kukázott könyveket olvas, és él.

Persze megérkezik hozzá egy forgatócsoport, akik visznek neki néhány civilizációs áldást, és a 2.-3. epizód már arról szól, hogy ez mennyire megváltoztatja az életét - szóval ez már kevésbé Samuil élete, inkább a készítőké.

Samuil mindenesetre a példaképem és a spirit animalom mostantól kezdve. Évek óta álmodozom arról, hogy egyszer eljussak Szibériába (tök esélytelen), pláne hogy végigmenjek a Transz-szibéria expresszen (még esélytelenebb), de legalább így, neten átélhetem az érzést.

És ezért (minden turbóbalos bocsássa meg ezt nekem) igenis kösz a YouTube prémiumnak, meg általában a netnek.

Szánjatok rá bő fél órát, igazi borzongatós-sírós élmény.

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then boy howdy do I have the server for you!!

Come join us over on the Dreblr server! (Link to our admin's post for season 2; we're entering season 3 on July 19th 2024, 9pm EST). You have to share a social media that shows signs of life within the fandom, but reblogging absolutely counts. Also this won't really be for you if you're gonna, like, be a dick about c!Dream or cc!Dream.

As long as you meet those requirements, you're entirely free to join the discord server! The minecraft server only adds the additional requirement of needing to be able to run java edition. No mods are needed; Sif's firm goal is that anyone who doesn't want to touch any of that doesn't need to do so. As someone who joined the server not too long after the End opened up in season 1, I can attest that the folks in both the discord and minecraft servers are absolutely lovely. We're all very friendly, I prommy, and our admins (Sif and Vault) strike a good balance between being kind and understanding yet also willing to pull out the newspaper to bop people if we're getting a bit rowdy.

For that aforementioned inexplicable person not yet inducted into Dreblr unaware of what kind of things go on around there, we have: -Giant beet fields of increasing size (season 3 will feature a ring of them around spawn, god help us) -Warden Wranglers, aka the clowns -clown quests -scavenger hunts -server tradition of jumping off the clown tent -Our original clown, @sunshine-in-a-bottle, begging us not to jump off of the clown tent -nobody listening and us all jumping off of the clown tent anyway, to the point where it's SUCH a staple that both prior seasons ended with us all jumping off of it as the server closes -there are many clowns and the circus will likely expand more this season :o) -we've apparently had multiple cults -mysterious structures of unknown origin or importance -people with no life (me) setting up shops/lugging unholy amounts of things back to yeet at anyone who needs them -(please take things from me I want to help people so badly, s1 a lot of people had no idea I was hoarding to give away so I opened up a shop in s2 and it helped SOME but NOT ENOUGH) -the Porb (prison orb), a giant floating orb of obsidian which housed a warden -I have no idea where it was made in s2, but in s1 it was in spawn. you could not see it at night. it was VERY FUNNY. -(other people have disagreed on this, hence it not being in spawn for s2.) -many farms and qol perks, ranging from elevators to a huge villager trading hall to death chests -yes, the first and last can exist without you needing to download mods! Server-side mods are amazing. So are datapacks. -this season we're gonna be doing nearly all of the public structures from scratch again, and we've already been talking about what to do. -personally, I'm gonna try and set up the player shopping district fairly early on. I feel like I waited too long last season. Also I just want to scout a good area out before prime locations get yoinked and I can set it up near my house again. I could literally spend hours here trying to come up with a list of fun things we've done/plan to do, but I kind of need to do some eepy before the appointed hour arrives. I hope this has made you, baffling and probably nonexistent person who isn't already aware of this existing, consider joining the fun. We'd love to have you!

Je reviens sur les temples à Bali.

Pourquoi autant temples ?

Les familiaux, ceux des villages et les grands temples de Bali

J’ai compris aujourd’hui que les balinais sont arrivés de Java au 14eme siècle, Java était hindou mais l’empire déclinait et l’influence musulmane se faisait de plus en plus oppressante. Pour protéger sa religion et sa culture une partie de l’aristocratie hindoue s’est déplacée vers Bali, cette île vierge collée à Java et pratiquement inhabitée. Comptant sur la jungle, les vagues, les volcans pour tenir à distance l’empire islamique.

On a là une première clé sur l’importance que le balinais accorde à la religion, puisque c’est la première raison de leur venue à Bali.

Une deuxième que m’a partagé le guide Debra, c’est l’importance de rendre grâce par l’offrande aux dieux, car pour toutes les manifestations positives ils se sentent redevables et reconnaissants. La relation aux divinités n’est que dans la gratitude jamais rien n’est reproché, si c’est du malheur, maladie qui est là dans la vie, c’est comme ça. Grâce à la foi ça aidera à passer peut être.

Et bien non, il y a un seul Dieu, son nom est Sang Hyanh Widhi Wasa, tous les autres sont des manifestations

Les nombreux temples qui jalonnent l’île sont des lieux vivants et communautaires. Les familles s’y retrouvent et viennent prier et offrir, danser et jouer de la musique.

C’est aussi un lieu de purification, certains temples proposent la cérémonie Melukat, qui constitue le passage par plusieurs fontaines sacrées avec une immersion dans de l’eau bénite.

C’est un rituel hindou balinais traditionnel il vise à purifier l’âme. Le rituel comprend des offrandes, des prières et des bénédictions par un prêtre.

La plus part du temps les temples de villages ne sont pas accessibles aux touristes.

Hier comme j’étais chez l’habitant, j’ai pu assister avec un membre de la famille à une cérémonie de bénédiction dans le temple du village. Et ce matin ils partaient à 6h pour se rendre à la plage , ou ils seront rejoints par d’autres villages. L’eau de la mer va être bénite par les prêtres et chacun pour repartir avec une gourde d’eau bénite.

En ce moment il y a beaucoup de cérémonies, un peu partout on voit aussi beaucoup d’offrandes.

Certaines offrandes se préparent pour une grande fête celle du 23 avril, le jour de la victoire ou du Triomphe celui du bien sur le mal et chacun aura devant chez lui un Penjor. Il mesure 3/4m, il est fait de bambou et cocotier, joliment décoré et restera 42 jours et après il sera brûlé. Le nom de la cérémonie est Galungan et la prochaine sera dans 210 jours. C’est le calendrier pawukon, c’est 35 jours 6 fois, c’est le calendrier lunaire et non le solaire ici.

J’ai assisté également, à une cérémonie avec danse et musique au temple Ulun Danau. Il est sur un lac et fait face au mont Batur, le premier des deux volcans vénérés à Bali, le deuxième est le mont Agung, je le vois dans quelques jours.

Notes:

The episode timestamps might not be totally accurate since I was watching this on a... ahem... legal website.

The timestamps are from when you could clearly and obviously see the shop signs. Like, Ziga's is visible from like episode one but couldn't be clearly read.

Some of the comics were just in shop windows and not really associated with a character so be careful. That is not a list of every comic the turtles have read. Like the Timely Times has only been in the background, not read by a particular turtle.

There were LOADS of shops where the shop name was in Chinese (or Japanese, I don't know) and so I couldn't list. Most of the shops by the Chinatown arch weren't in english. That's why even Murakami's shop isn't listed here. Because the actual shop name wasn't in english.
