It's funny how Sweeney Todd almost exclusively kills men and it's *not* a feminist thing, it's literally just that men are the ones who see barbers. Of course you could probably get some deeper analysis out of the fact that he mostly kills men, but it's not a feminist thing even though his wife and daughter were horrifically abused by a man and his friend/lover of convenience Mrs. Lovett's husband clearly wasn't great (at least in the movie? I haven't seen the play in a while.) Once I saw a fundraiser for a version of the story where he and Mrs. Lovett are specifically going after male abusers and that could be cool, I hope that got off the ground.

【KagePro】 KuroEne AU: Art Ideas 🖤💙

Made this list of KuroEne art ideas so I wouldn't forget. I find it easier to remember my art ideas if I write them down, so here you go ^^

I wrote a summary compilation of most of my art ideas for them since April. I haven't gotten the chance to draw a lot of these yet, but I want to eventually...

I marked KuroEne AU scenarios that I wrote as apart of my KuroEne AU. The others are art ideas

HaruTaka and KonoEne are mentioned in this, but it's mainly about my KuroEne AU

KuroEne AU (Canon-verse)

KuroEne AU: Mary and Ene team up against Kuroha

One of my biggest KuroEne AU Routes is a Route where Kuroha/Saeru possesses Konoha's body before the others can meet him, pretends to be an Eye Ability User (because he's in possession of Awakening Eyes), and joins the Mekakushi Dan.

He pretends to be everyone's friend while working towards his goals to kill everyone at the end, and have Mary rewind the world for the sake of his own immortality.

After killing off the rest of the MekaDan members on August 15th, Mary and Ene are the only ones left at the end, and decide to team up against him and sneak into his base (underground laboratory) to have their final confrontation with him.

Ene asks Kuroha for answers on everything she's wanted to know (his true motives to make Mary rewind the world, why he's doing all of this, why he played the game with her and made her body, etc.)

Since it's the end (grand finale), Kuroha sates her curiosity and answers her questions, and tells her his motives.

I think my KuroEne AU name, "Last Dance at World's End" is fitting. They'll give into their longing/yearning and passion for each other, one last time, before the world resets, to provide some form of closure for them.

There’s SO many scenes from my KuroEne AU that I wanna draw… I wrote them down as dialogue scripts so they’re still WIPs for now. I haven't gotten the chance to post the dialogue scripts for this Route yet. Just wait until I get the chance to draw some of them 🖤💙

KuroEne AU: Kuroha spites Shintaro and Seto for trying to use Stealing Eyes on him

KuroEne AU Route where Kuroha pretends to join the Mekakushi Dan.

Shintaro gets suspicious of Kuroha and asks Seto to use Stealing Eyes to read his thoughts to find out what he's really up to.

Kuroha senses them approach him (by sniffing their scents in the air) and spites them by thinking about his intimacy with Ene instead

(Or if he's feeling nice, he can just think about making improvements to Ene's android body's battery)

KuroEne x Higanbana: Sweet Dreams 💐🖤❤️

Kuroha: Have a sweet dream.

Kuroha: I'll see you in the next Route.

Kuroha lies next to Ene on a bed of black and red higanbana.

I imagined the art concept of Kuroha lying next to Ene in a bed of Higanbana.

This flower is also known as Cluster Amaryllis, Red Magic Lily, and also referred to as the Corpse Flower, Hell Flower, and Flower of Death.

Ene has her eyes closed and her arms folded (similar to how Ayano is posed like a corpse in the Additional Memory MV), while Kuroha has a smiling expression (^-^) on his face.

Also maybe he's covered in the blood (of the Mekakushi Dan members) and has it on his hands and face

I wanted to reference the usage of “The next” (次の, Tsugi no) in Outer Science's lyrics, and the scene where Saeru (metaphorically) stands on top of the dead bodies of all the Mekakushi Dan members from previous Routes (as a visual representation), with a snake-eye pupil above him.

“The next, next time this comes around… I’ll still sneer!”

Kuroha holds Ene with a smirk while the composition is half split with Konoha's body half turning to Kuroha (Black Konoha) on one side, and the half is still Konoha's sleeves (Hasn't turned yet)

KuroEne hold the same sets of higanbana together, while black/red auras drips over their hands.

(Similar to the Kuroha art drawn by Sidu in Kagerou Daze VII where he’s depicted with a black aura that looks similar to the shape of higanbana)

Kuroha wears a black and white maid outfit, black thigh highs, and spiked black high heels, while he has a bloody mop (maybe it's just red paint instead???) and slips a finger into Ene's thigh highs while he kisses her cheek. Ene's entire face gets all red and she just goes like "WORST MAID EVER!!!" (˶˃~˂˶)

Kuroha/Saeru Manga Route 2 (MR2) Redesign

Something something, I feel like doing a Kuroha/Saeru MR2 (Manga Route 2) redesign with more influence from Azami's clothes as well as traditional clothes (including Vietnamese and Chinese traditional clothes)

Cuz I fuck with everything on this design EXCEPT for the crop top.

I love the black snake scales on his face, the cute little tufts of hair and black horns, the braid in the back that looks like a scorpion's tail like Judar's, red sclera and red gradient limbs, and the white sash with bloodstains on it.

Also the bottom part of the design is SO confusing to me.

I love how Sayuki draws his MR2 design...

But it looks so boring in the Kagerou Daze manga by Mahiro cuz I'm not a fan of the art style and how undynamic the art is

I imagine him to be a black cat with a gray undercoat and gold eyes.

Black smoke is the name of the coat colour. These cats have a silver undercoat

Black smoke kitties have such a pretty silver undercoat~ Looks so pretty!

Ene is bunny themed, but if I had to pick a cat for her with a realistic coat colour, it'd be either a Birman or a Ragdoll

I also considered cats with a blue gray fur coat, but I went with these because of the distinctive blue eyes.

But, if I wasn't going for a realistic coat colour, I'd just make her coat light blue, since you can take creative liberties in fanarts.

I made Kuroha a black smoke cat cuz I wanna differentiate my BW themed meow meow mf faves from each other. They're all black cat themed 🐈‍⬛

Basically, I wanted to differentiate him from cat Judar (Magi) lol. Kuronyan would be a black smoke kitty and Junyan would be a black cat 🐈‍⬛

I want him to have pointy ears like this to imitate his MR2 form's small black horns...

They'd look great in aesthetics~ Black and white (or blue) cat~ Kuronyan and Ene-nyan~ 🐈‍⬛🐈🖤💙

9/6 x Daze - HaruTaka, KonoEne, KuroEne

I imagined Daze themed arts of HaruTaka, KonoEne, and KuroEne with them wearing their Daze outfits and reaching out for each other, mimicking each other like a mirror

HaruTaka reaches for each other

It'd be super angsty if, even when Ene reaches for him, Konoha looks confused and doesn't understand why

And if Kuroha's the only one trying to reach for Ene (or vice versa)

Though I think what I mentioned works well for visual contrast reasons

HaruTaka: Haruka and Takane reach for each other (I want to see you 💛💙)

KonoEne: Ene reaches for Konoha (Only one of us truly yearns 💙)

KuroEne: Kuroha reaches for Ene (A selfish, twisted, obsessive love 🖤)

I would draw HaruTaka in KonoEne's silhouettes, just like in the daze MV

I don't see KonoEne as inherently unrequited, but I prefer KuroEne and HaruTaka over KonoEne, personally. They match better and work better together as ship dynamics (and are just more interesting to me)

Though for sure HaruTaka and KonoEne better fit KagePro's canon context and theme-ing. But I always go for what's more interesting to me.

Haruka can match Takane's intensity, and Kuroha can match Ene's intensity. Haruka is the perfect counter to Takane, and Kuroha is the perfect counter to Ene.

I feel like Haruka and Kuroha can actually react better and respond to Takane and Ene (respectively) well and can actually meet her level of intensity imo.

Konoha can't really match Takane and Ene's intensity (imo), at least, not as well as the other two.

I feel like Ene would be disappointed at being seen as only just a friend, and non-exclusive affection, even if he (Konoha) feels something more.

So when Saeru comes into the picture to tempt her into playing the "game" with him, he asks her, "Don't you want someone that can satisfy you better?"

Saeru can meet Ene's competitiveness and be able to make her confront her more honest feelings (since she has an avoidance tendency).

Saeru can give her anything she wants, including the affection she craves. It just comes at the ultimate cost.

KuroEne play with a Chibi version of their S/O

Kuroha plays with a chibi Ene, and Ene plays with a chibi Kuroha.

This reminds me I had an art concept in my head for my ships like "Chara plays with a Chibi-fied/baby-fied/baby-turned/skrunkly version of their S/O"

So like normal Konoha/Kuroha plays with a chibi Ene

And then the reverse would be Ene plays with a chibi Konoha/Kuroha

Chibi Saeru would still be a menace to deal with

KuroEne wearing Hanfu

I haven't picked hanfu for them yet, but I'd imagine Kuroha would wear black hanfu (with accent colours like silver, white, gold, red)

Ene would wear blue hanfu (with accent colours like white and black)

It'd be cool if he wore pibo (披帛), translucent white hanfu scarves. It'd be reminiscient to his MR2 design.

I want it to flow around him and have an exaggerated shape language/silhouette :)

I'm planning to draw that in my Saeru MR2 redesign (cuz I don't feel like drawing the top and bottom part of the canon outfit, so I'm just gonna draw what I want)

Kuroha sings a lullaby to Ene whispers into her headphones (ears) while lying in bed next to her and spoons her. Ene feels her heart beat skyrocket with him being so close to her.

Haruka, Konoha, and Kuroha are all voiced by Mamoru Miyano :) He has a soft soothing voice.

Kuroha and Ene sleep in the same bed next to each other, tucked underneath the blankets, and Ene feels her heart beat skyrocket with him being so close to her. I imagined that Kuroha spoons Ene and sings into her headphones (ears)

Kuroha, aware of her growing inner turmoil and embarrassment and conflicted feelings for him, offers to sing her a lullaby to help calm her down, with a smug, knowing grin on his face. He comments that singing a lullaby could help her relax and soothe her heart.

Kuroha tells her that since he is the embodiment of "Knowledge," and his accumulation of knowledge, he knows most of the lullabies that humans use to sing their loved ones to sleep. He knows that Ene doesn't require sleep due to the nature of her Eye Ability, Opening Eyes, but he can help calm her down.

Kuroha starts humming a lullaby into her headphones (ears), with his lips hovering right over her headphones, and Ene gets flustered at him being so close.

She thinks to herself how his voice sounds so much like Haruka/Konoha's, and how soft and gentle it sounds. His face looks so much like theirs too, because of the body he's using.

While he sings to her, Ene just feels her heart pounding in her chest and the heat rising to her cheeks even more. And then she thinks to herself, "Stupid, stupid Saeru!!! This isn't helping!!! This is just making things worse!!!"

Haruka, Konoha, and Kuroha, are all different characters but voiced by the same voice actor, Mamoru Miyano, so they have the same voice.

Kuroha/Saeru's voice is really pretty sounding~ Thank you Miyano~ Wished I could hear more of it… Miyano did a great job voicing all 3 of them. Perfect VA for them!

KuroEne AU: Kuroha takes Ene to the Amusement Park

Kuroha lets Ene take him with her to all the attractions, and notices she’s having a lot of fun. He carries her on his back as they walk around. Kuroha wins prizes (plushies) for her at a dart throwing booth and hits all targets flawlessly.

Ene wants to go to the Amusement Park with Kuroha, so he agrees to take her and she gets excited when he says yes. While there, he lets Ene take him to all the attractions she wants to visit (mini boat ride, roller coasters), and he carries her on his back too while walking around

Ene gets flustered when she thinks about how it's just the two of them here, wondering if it's a date. Saeru can judge what she's thinking by reading her reactions.

He wins prizes for her at a throwing darts booth stand, and Ene wants him to win prizes for her. Ene gets excited when he wins them all for her, and carries home plushies for her.

He makes a teasing quip on how needy and spoiled she's acting and Ene pouts at him.

Kuroha wants a present from Santa Ene

Kuroha wants a present, and Ene tells him that naughty guys like him get COAL for Christmas. Kuroha leans in to kiss her on the cheek as thanks for her hard work as a Santa.

Ene: It's Christmas!!! Which means it's time for presents!!!

Kuroha: Where's my present, hm?

Ene: Put the gun away, tough guy, it's CHRISTMAS!!!

Kuroha: Oh? This one is just a toy gun, though. (<- Is he lying or telling the truth? Who knows!!!)

Ene: Bad naughty guys like you just get COAL!!! BLEH!!! NO PRESENTS FOR YOU!!! (//>~<//) (:P)

Kuroha knows how to appeal to Ene's need for praise and attention so he just "butters her up" - showers her with praise and compliments and flattery, and Ene responds like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah!!! Call me cute!!! Say I'm the cutest Santa in the whole world~ And MAYBE I'll think about giving you your present~" And pouts and crosses her arms at him in Ene's classic embarrassed tsundere fashion.

It would be cute if he kisses her (like on the cheek or the lips), and then says, "Thank you for your hard work this year, Santa~" And Ene just explodes (//O//O//) /lh

I favour ships that are intense and dangerous, with compelling conflict and tension
