I finished DS9 and here's my first offering to the fandom.

The show is just SO GOOD!! I wanna talk about it so bad, so I will spam the tags quite a bit... My bad. Also, the people who said Bashir would get better - you were right, he became a lot more fun! Plus he's got a teddy bear, that's peak character right there.

for day 2 of campfire fest! prompt: third eye (and i guess could also count for explosion, or a lack thereof lol) @outerwilds-events

#i meant to do something yesterday but i had a crazy shift at work and was feeling lazy lol #anyways. pye and idaea after the probe didn't work #this line of text is the first thing that comes to mind for 'third eye' for me bc its the only evidence/in-game mention of the nomai's -#- third eye being special/different from the other two in some way. im curious if it is actually composed differently and has better vision #or if it is just better for seeing fine details in things directly in front of them since it is forward-facing as opposed to -#- being on the sides of their head #also i just think about these two a lot. can you imagine being co-leaders of the most difficult and controversial part of a massive project #that is so important to so many people including your friends family members and ancestors who have died in search of what you are -#- going to potentially destroy your entire clan while attempting to find #you are building a weapon intended to destroy yourself and the entire star system you were born in #and your co-leader is the person with quite possibly the most opposite opinions and disposition to you #idaea having to grapple with the fact that the failure of something he never wanted to exist in the first place is still upsetting to him -#- because despite their differences he still sympathizes with pye who was so confident and wanted it to work so badly #and both of them as well as anyone else working at the sun station put so much time and energy into constructing it #and that work was so miserable due both to the heat and the tension due to their differing opinions and their own mixed feelings on it #pye having to admit defeat to everyone else working on the project who were so excited for this to finally give them the answer #in front of idaea who was so convinced that it was a bad idea and who she was probably desperate to prove wrong #in front of the entire crew of people who had spent probably months in miserable working conditions #after she had been so confident that it would work and so insistent that this was the only way #and she had to admit not only that it failed but that it couldn't possibly work. that deep down she knew and had probably known for a while #- that it would never work and had continued working on it anyway because she wanted it to work so bad #anyways. the fucking brainworms #tried out a new style for this and i really like how it turned out #outer wilds #outer wilds spoilers #outer wilds nomai #frostgnaw draws

#non mdzs #The real mood of this comic is:#AKA: you are in charge of designing a character but have only been given personality as a reference.#This was technically for a game dev meeting and I am part of a team rather than a contractor hired on.#But hey the anxiety going into this was still crazy high. I was playing a risky gambit.#Part two of this comic is me putting all those clowns on a powerpoint and presenting them in front of a few people.#Pointing at them and saying “Okay which clown do you like best? How can we sex up this clown more?”#I think I may be giving the impression that I’m more into clowns than I actually am. It just fit with the character okay!#I had to consult the REAL down-for-clowners for tips. Photos exchanged in the dark alleys of a discord server.#A hooded figure shakes their head at the first photo. Slowly nods as I add puffy sleeves. Nods furiously as I drop the neckline.#This clown still needs to marinate a bit more before I’m ready to present them to the wider world.#So stay tuned! I also just realized that we really only get the 7 days before the crash to really see the people Curly and Anya were before the crash. It's not even the full seven days. We get the first two and the last two with a gap in the time for what could have gone down.

I just realized how vague it was and how quickly it all happened. They are such small moments and such short glimpses. She's only just told Curly two days before the crash. The next she told Jimmy and Curly had to confront him. It's further implied right after that conversation, Curly goes to collect himself and figure things out and Jimmy immediately crashes the ship, once he's far enough to not stop him, cause he knows Curly would never truly allow it to happen.

But he takes that as the okay to go ahead, because in the long time he's known Curly, that's always been the okay.

The difference in the gaps in the timeline really just paint a bigger less explained but more obvious picture.

#like im only just really realizing how short that time frame is and we are missing days but i genuienly think the assult happened sometime #between the first two days and the last two days hence the gap in time for ambiguity #I just realized what Curly did was act as a sheild for Anya but it just didn't work. he believed he could #bring her comfort by simply not allowing Jimmy near her by supplementing her tasks and taking over some of her responsibilities #this always worked for Jimmy and he really only uses this as a basis for social interaction with the crew which is like cray cray on its ow #but i digress like he should've done more but man the jump in severity is crazy on Jimmy's part from menacing to the attac #as he likely used the psych evals to measure up his chances like a freak. Not to mention how Curly was just piecing things together when he #realized she never got psych evals like its all so confined im just so wacked out because yeah Curly still could've done way more the momen #he found out but Im also just realzing how short a day fucking is so like damn any way team kill Jimmy with stones and slap Curly till he #makes a better friend go #mouthwashing #mouthwashing game #this is just something im really conceptualizing btw like I know the time frame im just actually thinking about it with all the other facto

there’s something so personal about the scene in fantasy high s1e7 where gorgug calls himself stupid & fabian, who up to that point had basically entirely been acting like the bad kids (especially gorgug) were beneath him & had also been the one calling ragh stupid two lines ago, instantly says “okay, do not put yourself down like that. don’t you dare do that to yourself.” like it was obvious he liked the bad kids at that point but the instinct to protect his friends manifesting as an immediate strong refusal of gorgug’s self-deprecating talk kills me. that boy loves his friends so bad oh my god i feel sick.
