I think there's a lot to be said in the fact that Rosie is clearly very fond of Charlie right off the bat (literally donating her entire population to the cause), and continues to actively encourage Alastor to team up with her and stay teamed up (because lbr our deer man keeps allies like a holey bucket keeps water)

Just based on what we've seen of her as a character, it makes a decent case that, at least in Rosie's opinion, Alastor's not a threat to Charlie. Hell, you could even interpret it as Rosie seeing Charlie as a good influence for him.

Now, obviously Rosie doesn't live inside Alastor's brain and therefore she can't ever be 100% sure about any of his intentions, but she is presented as being a close, old acquaintance of his. In other words, Rosie's probably got the best shot out of anyone to actually predict what Alastor might be up to, and she clearly doesn't believe he would fuck over Charlie, even when faced with fighting off a whole ass army of angels.

So, in conclusion, I think it's pretty reasonable to assume Alastor really is attached to the hotel and everyone in it, and the inevitable back-stabbery to come will likely be tied to his deal rather than his insatiable urge to make life difficult for the people around him.

i think if a game does not include the option to save in its main pause menu but rather in a separate menu that is not mentioned in-game whatsoever besides the fact that attempting to quit will cause you to lose all unsaved data, thereby making players try and find it through trial and error if they want to save the game at all, it has a design flaw
