Different aids some of my S/i's have

Mika: After the whole demobat thing, Mika does sometimes need mobility aids. She will either use crutches or a cane depending on if it's her ankle or knee that's bothering her.

Stelle: Between her anxiety, adhd, and autism, she does get sensory overload a lot, so she always carries her sound canceling headphones. She also keeps super dark sunglasses with her in case her photosensitivity gets too bad. And a pen and notepad for if she goes nonverbal.

Bradey: She has really thick glasses, even when she was a toddler. After the whole Nogitsune thing and playing Lacrosse so hard in high school, (and all the injuries that came with both) Bradey can have a hard time staying upright and walking. So when she's having a bad day, she uses a wheelchair to get around. She also sometimes has to rely on Google translate when she forgets how to speak English (which is only when she's exhausted)

Celeste: Her hearing was damaged in The Battle of New York, and she's used hearing aids ever since. They were damaged when she fell to Sakaar, and that's when she learned that Loki knew sign too.

Fae: Is mostly deaf in one ear and needs a hearing aid.

Evan: Goes non-verbal, and relies on text to speech.

Lucinda: She's been in in enough Jaeger accidents that it's not surprising she would need mobility aids. But she also has a mechanical arm and robotic ocular replacement.

Séamus: Wears a knee brace most of the time, but will use a cane at home/in camp.

Reggie: Uses a back brace most days.

Curli: Uses a cane for mobility reasons.

"Fae," Evie laughs nervously as they lead them out to the tourney field in the dead of night, "What are we doing?"

"Just-" She stops and holds her hands, looking over her shoulder for a moment, "Do you trust me?"

"If I say yes, are going to get in trouble?"

"Possibly," They grin at her teasingly, "More me than you, don't worry."

"O-okay," she nods, "I trust you."

Fae's smile widens and she shimmies slightly, translucent wings unfurling at her back. She pulls out a small drawstring bag and Evie looks confused.

"Technically this is for emergencies only, but," They chuckle with a shrug, "I've been saving up for a while, there should be enough for a little fun."

"What is it?"

She opens the bag, a faint gold glow coming from it, "Pixie Dust."

"Pixie dust?" She repeats, in shock, "You have pixie dust? Here?"

"Being Clarion's kid has a few perks," they look at Evie's awed expression, "Now think happy thoughts."

Their eyes meet and she steps back, eyes falling closed, fingers wiggling excitedly at her sides.

"What are you thinking about?" Fae asks, lightly sprinkling the gold dust on her.

"Clothes."

"Happier than that, sweetheart," they tease, "Much happier."

"L-like my friends? Mal, Jay, and Carlos?"

"That could work," Fae shrugs, taking her hands, "It'll work better if you think of something super happy though."

"Like... what?" She asks, eyes still closed, brows furrowed.

"Maybe something like," Fae swallows hard and steps closer, "This?"

E gasps when she feels their lips on hers and her feet immediately lift off the ground.

"F-Fae!" She clings to her arm, eyes shooting open as she floats there, "W-what do I do?"

"Just breathe," Fae smiles, tossing a small handfull of dust over her wings. They flutter for a moment before she also lifts off the ground, "You're okay. Just hold onto me for now."

"Okay."

"Alright, first time flying 101," They grin, "Feet together. Yeah, like that. Arms out. Good."

Evie follows their instructions with a smile.

"Okay, so steering is simple," They go on, "Lean left, fly left. Lean right, fly right."

"That's it?- W-wait!" Her smile drops as Fae pulls their hand away.

"You're okay," They're barely hovering off the ground, but she takes her hand again, "Here, we'll do it together first. We'll fly... to the top of the bleachers."

They go slow, Fea turning to face her and flying backwards the last couple yards, "See? Simple."

They let go and walk on the rail on the top of the bleacher, wings flapping slowly, "I knew you'd get it quick."

"You kissed me."

The statement catches her off guard, making her fumble her steps, and her cheeks turn pink, "Uh y-yeah, I did... Is that okay?"

They freeze when Evie is suddenly in front of her, face floating inches from their's.

"Only if it's okay if I do this?" She presses her lips to their's.

They let out a surprised noise before kissing her back, wings fluttering excitedly. She cups E's cheeks smiling against her lips as frost begins to cover the bleachers and flowers bloom where the metal meets the ground.

"Second star," They breathe as they pull away, "I've wanted to do that forever."

"Forever?" She twirls her hair around her finger.

"Ever since I saw you step out of that Limo," they admit.

That makes Evie smile more, "Really?"

"Are you really that surprised? I wasn't exactly being subtle."

She kisses them again, hands gripping the lapels of their jacket, floating higher.

Born of two fairies and not the laugh of a child, she has no fairy talent and she's always felt lesser for it. 

Considered the "Bad Girl" at Auradon Prep, how does she react when one of their best friends invites a group of VKs to the mainland?

Faera: The Talentless Fairy (Evie Grimhilde x OC) Prologue

My Father’s Fighting Spirit

Warnings: Mentions of Sexual assault (Someone grabs Jane’s ass without consent), Violence, Blood mention

She felt the crack of the boy’s jaw under the third blow from their fist, but she didn’t stop. A fourth. A fifth. A sixth. Someone grabbed their arm when she pulled back for a seventh.

“Faera Stop!” Jane’s voice cried.

She faltered before shaking their friend off oh them and getting to their feet. Grabbing the front of the boy’s shirt, she yanked him to eye level. 

“Apologize,” She growled. He punched them in the face, the second hit he’d managed the whole time. She spit some blood out on the ground before slamming his face down on their knee. Straightening him again she pushed him toward Jane and gripped the back of his collar, “Apologize.”

“S-sorry Jane,” He whimpered, “It won’t happen again, I promise.”

Jane let out a weak, “It’s okay.”

“Faera!” Fairy Godmother screeched in horror when one of the boy’s friends brought her over, “What the Bippidi-Boppoidi did you do?”

The girl rolled their eyes and dropped him onto the floor. “He grabbed Jane’s ass.”

“So you beat him?”

“He wouldn’t apologize,” She shrugged, “If it happens again, I’ll kill him.”

“My office, Now!”

Their eyes went wide but she did as she was told and stormed off.

She slumped in a chair outside Fairy Godmother’s offices with a huff, their arms crossed.

A few minutes later Jane showed up with a damp towel and a baggie of ice.

“Here,” the dark haired girl sat next to her friend, giving them the ice for their sore cheek. Then she timidly reached out, “Hand.”

Faera felt their face burn against the ice pressed against their cheek, but tried to keep their face indifferent as she put her bruised and bloody hand in Jane’s. She muttered a quiet, “Thanks.”

“I wish you’d stop getting into fights,” Jane said while she cleaned the blood off their knuckles.

“I wish the guys around here would learn to respect women,” She scoffed, pulling their hand away from their friend and leaning back in the chair.

“Really Faera, it’s not that big a deal,” Jane tried.

“The fuck it’s not!” She looked at their friend, “It was scummy and he deserved to get laid out on his ass!”

“Fae, you can’t keep-” She was cut off by her mother walking past and opening the door to her office. 

“I’ll talk to you later,” She says before getting to their feet and walking into Fairy Godmother’s office.

She drops themselves into a chair before Fairy Godmother invites them to and the woman sighs, “Your mother should be here soon.”

“Great,” She groans and moments later a snowy owl land on the sill of the open window.

In a cascade of glittering gold, the fairy on it’s back grows to the height of a grown man. He takes in the sight of the girl with bruised knuckles and blood drying at the corner of their mouth, his daughter.

“Fairy Godmother,” He turns to the woman on the other side of the desk, “Your message seemed urgent, unfortunately Queen Clarion was not able spare the time.”

“Surprise, surprise,” The girl scoffed, picking at their fingernails.

His eyes narrow at them, “Your mother is a busy woman, she hasn’t the time to come to the main land every time you decide to have an altercation.”

“Speaking of which,” Fairy Godmother cuts in, “if you could take a seat Lord Milori.”

“This is stupid,” The girl argues as their father sits in the chair next to them, “So some creep got what was coming to him. What’s the big deal?”

“You fractured his jaw!”

“He grabbed your daughter’s ass!” She snapped back, “What the fuck was I supposed to do?! Just let him get away with it?”

“You tell a teacher!”

“I have!” She countered, slamming their hands on the desk, “But that’s ‘Not possible,’ because ‘Prince Jerimiah is a respectable young man,’ and I ‘Shouldn’t go around trying to tarnish other’s reputations’!”

“This has happened before?” Milori asked, looking to Fairy Godmother.

“On multiple occasions,” The girl informed him, “And I’m sick of all these teachers thinking everybody here is a damn saint.”

Fairy Godmother is quiet for a moment, deep in thought.

“I’ll have a talk with the staff about this,” She said at last, “Lord Milori, I apologize for calling you here like this, I was prepared for this to be a disciplinary meeting, and while I don’t agree with how Faera handled the situation, I understand, now, what lead to it.”

He bows his head slightly.

“Faera, you’re free to go,” She says lightly, and Milori follows them out into the hallway.

“Are you alright?” He asks.

“Tch, you should see the other guy,” She shrugs, not looking at him.

“Faera,” He says in a serious tone that makes them turn to face him, “You cannot keep doing this.”

He took their hands in his, his cold skin soothing their bruises. “I haven’t any idea where you learned to speak so strongly with your fists.”

She was the only one of their kind, no fairy talent, no one to relate to. Free to cross the border between summer and winter as she pleased, but belonging to neither. A mother who tried her best, but never had time to spare, and a father who all too easily excused her absence as something to be expected. She wasn’t important enough for her mother’s time, so she would just have to make herself important enough.

If that meant she had to break a few noses and split a few lips? So be it.

“You see, Evie was so used to the dismal grey of The Isle, and the light and color of Auradon were so new, that she didn’t notice the way the sun actually shone brighter or how the flowers grew more vibrant around Faera. And Faera was so used to how bright and colorful things were around them that she had no idea the world away from them was always a touch duller.”
