Witchcraft 101: An Introductory Post
Tumblr media
What is Witchcraft?
Witchcraft is the practice of magick. It's a series of techniques one uses to harness and/or manipulate energies externally or internally to change one's surroundings of circumstances as well as themselves. This can be done through using herbs, stones, crystals, and other materials.
Witchcraft can, and is, performed in a plethora of ways. It can be done through meditation, spell work, rituals or even baking and cooking. Witchcraft is as unique as you are. To practice witchcraft you do not need a religion, however most people practice witchcraft to feel more connected to their chosen religion. Witchcraft is as unique as the individual demonstrating it.
What makes someone a witch?
A witch is a person who practices magick. Witches can come from any background, any age, race or gender and religion. The term 'witch' is a gender-neutral, universal name. A being who claims the title may do what they desire with the craft. There are many types of witches, all of which are nature based. Not all witches are interested in the same type practise, however. One may prefer the study and use of crystals, and another being drawn to divination or even one of the elements.
A witch is neither good or bad, as they are only human.
There aren't any rules to being a witch (unless your religion states otherwise). Whilst you don't have to be religious to be a witch, most witches who practise, are most commonly Wiccan.
Tumblr media
What is Paganism?
Pagan is an umbrella term for the many non-Abrahamic religions. This included Hinduism, Wicca, Buddhism, Sikhism, etc. However, not a lot of people fall into a specific type of religion that comes under paganism but still believe in & worship more than one God/Goddess or Greater being such as the elements, for example. Many, if not most, witches, fall under the Wiccan religion.
Paganism, across all sub-genres, follow holidays/festivals, and in many religions, many they follow The Eight Sabbats, or Wheel of the Year. The Sabbats, depending on the religion, have slight variations in terms of rituals, timing and practicing of the holidays i.e. which God/Goddess is associated, traditional colours or foods. It also is up to the individual as to what they do and don't want to celebrate.
"All Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are wiccan. All Wiccans are Pagan, but not all Pagans are Witches."
Religion VS. Spirituality
Religion and spirituality are often meshed together and difficult to differentiate the two. Some people believe there is a blurred line between them, whereas another may believe they are two completely different topics.
So, how can we tell the two apart?
Religion is an institutionalised system of certain attitudes, practises and beliefs; often the service or worship of a greater being than ones self or the supernatural. A religion is often based upon life lessons and teachings of a historical or archetypal figure. Typically, there is a place of worship, such as churches, temples, mosques and cathedrals. Religion is a structured organised system that is heavily rule based with it's main focus on the faith of the religion (scriptures of being infallible and ultimate or truth. Acceptance and the surrender to the Divine are taught as the path to complete and ultimate salvation. Religion is one path for all to follow.
Spirituality is a connection that one has to something that is much larger than yourself. Spirituality is an aspect of humanity where an individual seeks and expresses meaning and purpose through the connection they experience to a moment. People who are spiritually awakened liv4e life in a reverent and sacred manner. Yoga, meditation and contemplation all help a person to start, progress and explore their journey. Many use these practices to reach out to their spirit guides, past lives and even advice from outside forces. Each journey is unique. Spirituality is often referred to as a "pathless path". Spirituality is about following your own path and learning, growing, loving and acceptance on a more personal level. Unlike religion, spiritualists do not follow a set of rules n regards to their inward journey but, faith is not dismissed and entirely acceptable to incorporate with spirituality.

Why do you worship a god who seems to hate you so much? Why do you worship a god who wants to prevent you from doing things that bring you pleasure, who cuts you off from other gods, and who says you're wrong the way you are and that you have to change for him? Jesus sounds abusive. None of my gods would ever do something like that to me. The main goddess I worship is Hel and she's really nice to me, she gives me hugs, and encourages me to engage in my desires and follow my ambitions. There are better gods for you to worship, you don't have to hate yourself or harm yourself.
Seeing your other posts, I wouldn't be surprised if you came from a place of proselytizing rather than genuine worry, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt still. Let's break this down.
TLDR: The beauty of faith is that some people find fulfilment in polytheistic religions, some people in monotheistic ones. Faith is always a subjective experience. I'm a lapsed Catholic, I'm okay I promise.
Why do you worship a god who seems to hate you so much?
The keyword here is "seems". Just like anyone experiencing hardships (especially us queer folks who grew up in such a bigoted society), it's almost instinctual to blame God for misfortune. But that anger we experience doesn't compare to God. He does not hate anyone. That's... the one thing that is hammered in the scripture, that He loves humans unconditionally. There's a difference between the religious institution, full of prejudiced humans, vs the divine.
Oh also Jesus literally discourage prejudice, humans not following love and support of one another aren't representative of the teachings lol.
Why do you worship a god who wants to prevent you from doing things that bring you pleasure, who cuts you off from other gods, and who says you're wrong the way you are and that you have to change for him?
Which pleasures are we talking about? That's subjective, what brings you pleasure might not be the same for me. The same goes for the other gods: I find fulfilment in worshipping God, my faith doesn't push me in polytheistic directions and that's okay. That's the beauty of humanity, how diverse we are.
God doesn't say we're wrong the way we are, and changing for Him sounds... reasonable? In the way that a parent would want to witness a child grow and seek its full potential. Don't you do the same, growing up and changing to adapt to the life given to you by the gods?
Jesus sounds abusive. None of my gods would ever do something like that to me.
You can't assume a whole religion based on r/Atheist (/j), Reddit isn't representative of theological studies.
The main goddess I worship is Hel and she's really nice to me, she gives me hugs, and encourages me to engage in my desires and follow my ambitions.
That's awesome! I'm glad you found love, support and witnessed your faith grow with and towards Hel. I feel the same way with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, as well as mama Mary: They comfort me, they guide me, they encourage me.
There are better gods for you to worship, you don't have to hate yourself or harm yourself.
I appreciate the concern, I really do. I can feel that, since we're both queer, there's a lot of religious trauma behind this ask and a need to break from the religious institution to live freely in all aspects of life.
But I promise, I'm okay. My faith lies in God, that's just the way I am. Your faith lies in Hel, that's the way you are. Both can coexist. Isn't that beautiful?

The Comparison Trap: Comparing Labor vs. Selfish Acquisition (Highlighting Cain and Abel and The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard)
I. Introduction: The Universal Struggle with Comparison and Selfishness
From the earliest stories recorded in scripture to our daily interactions, the human heart grapples with the temptation to compare ourselves to others and the desire for personal gain. We often find ourselves evaluating our efforts, achievements, and blessings in relation to those around us, sometimes leading to feelings of inadequacy, resentment, or even begrudging criticism. Simultaneously, the allure of accumulating more wealth, recognition, or power can tempt us towards selfishness and a disregard for the needs of others. This Bible study delves into these fundamental human struggles, examining the spiritual dangers of begrudging comparison and the corrosive nature of selfish acquisition. By carefully exploring key biblical narratives, including the tragic account of Cain and Abel and the insightful Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of God's perspective on these attitudes. Our goal is to uncover timeless principles that will guide us towards cultivating contentment, fostering a spirit of generosity, and maintaining a steadfast focus on our individual walk of faith with Him.
II. The Peril of Comparison: A Biblical Warning Against Measuring Ourselves by Others
It is an inherent human tendency to observe and assess our standing in relation to those around us. We might meticulously weigh our efforts against the apparent ease of others' success, or silently calculate the perceived fairness of our rewards. However, the Bible offers clear and repeated warnings against the spiritual pitfalls of this comparative mindset.
A. The Folly of Self-Assessment by Human Standards: In 2 Corinthians 10:12, Paul pointedly states, "For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding." This verse highlights the inherent lack of wisdom and flawed logic in using other people as our primary benchmark for self-evaluation. Our focus should be on aligning ourselves with God's standards, not human ones.
B. The Corrosive Nature of Envy and Resentment: The act of comparison frequently gives rise to the destructive emotions of envy and resentment. When we fixate on what others have or seem to have achieved with less effort, our hearts can become poisoned. Proverbs 14:30 wisely notes, "A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot," illustrating the profound physical and spiritual damage caused by this negative emotion.
C. The Importance of Individual Accountability and Focus: Scripture consistently emphasizes the principle of individual accountability before God and the crucial need to concentrate on our own journey of faith and obedience. Romans 14:12 reminds us, "So then each of us will give an account of himself to God." Our primary concern should be our own faithfulness, our own service, and our own growth in Christ, rather than becoming preoccupied with the paths and outcomes of others. Galatians 6:4-5 further encourages this inward focus: "But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in another. For each will have to bear his own load."
D. The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard: Challenging Our Notions of Fairness: Jesus' Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16) directly confronts our often-rigid notions of fairness and the human tendency to compare rewards based on effort. The resentment of those who toiled all day when they received the same wage as those who worked only an hour reveals the flawed logic of our comparative instincts. The landowner's response underscores God's sovereign right to be generous and challenges us to focus on the agreement we have with the Lord, rather than scrutinizing the blessings bestowed upon others.
III. The Genesis Account of Cain and Abel: The Deadly Fruit of Begrudging Comparison and Perceived Lack of Favor
The early and tragic narrative of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 serves as a powerful and sobering illustration of how begrudging feelings, particularly those stemming from perceived differences in God's favor and accomplishment, can escalate to devastating and irreversible consequences.
A. The Initial Offering and Divine Response: In Genesis 4:3-5, we read, "In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but he did not respect Cain and his offering. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell." Cain's initial reaction to God's differing response to their offerings was not one of humble reflection or seeking understanding, but rather one of intense anger and visible resentment. This highlights how a perceived lack of favor or recognition can immediately trigger negative emotions rooted in comparison.
B. Interpretations of God's Favor: Beyond Simple Comparison of Labor: While the text doesn't explicitly detail the reasons behind God's preference for Abel's offering, various theological interpretations offer insight beyond a simple comparison of the type of labor involved:
C. The Attitude of the Heart: Many commentators suggest that Abel's offering was presented with a heart of sincere faith, reverence, and obedience, while Cain's might have lacked this genuine devotion. The quality of the offering often reflects the heart of the giver.
D. The Element of Faith: Hebrews 11:4 explicitly states, "By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts." This emphasizes that Abel's act was rooted in faith, a crucial element in pleasing God.
E. The Significance of the Sacrifice: Abel's offering of the "firstborn" and "fat portions" implies a sacrifice of greater value and significance, potentially demonstrating a deeper understanding of the concept of sacrifice and atonement.
F. The Escalation of Resentment and God's Intervention: Cain allowed his feelings of being slighted and overlooked to fester and intensify into a consuming anger, visibly affecting his demeanor ("his face fell"). In Genesis 4:6-7, God directly intervenes, asking, "'Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.'" God's question prompts Cain to examine his own actions and heart, suggesting that the issue might lie within himself rather than solely in God's response. His warning about sin "crouching at the door" highlights the imminent danger of allowing begrudging feelings to take root and control one's actions.
G. The Tragic Climax: The Act of Fratricide: Ultimately, Cain's unchecked resentment and anger, fueled by his inability to accept what he perceived as Abel's favored status and his own less-regarded offering, led to the horrific act of murder. Genesis 4:8 records, "Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up and struck his brother Abel dead." This tragic outcome underscores the devastating potential of begrudging comparison and the destructive power of allowing negative emotions to dominate our hearts.
H. The Enduring Lesson: The Danger of Unchecked Comparison and Perceived Lack of Favor: The story of Cain and Abel serves as a timeless and potent warning about the dangers of allowing feelings of resentment and begrudging comparison, especially when they stem from perceived differences in accomplishment or divine favor, to take root and grow. It highlights the critical importance of addressing these emotions before they escalate into destructive thoughts and actions.
IV. The Sin of Selfish Acquisition: The Corrosive Nature of Greed, Ungenerosity, and Dishonesty
In stark contrast to the often-passive resentment associated with begrudging comparison, the sin of selfish acquisition involves an active and insatiable desire for more, frequently leading to tangible acts of ungenerosity and dishonest practices that directly harm otothers.
A.The Insatiable Desire for More: The Root of Greed: Greed is characterized by an excessive and often uncontrollable craving for wealth, possessions, power, or recognition, often extending far beyond genuine needs or reasonable desires. The Bible strongly condemns this attitude, as highlighted in 1 Timothy 6:10: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." Jesus himself warned against the dangers of covetousness, stating in Luke 12:15, "'Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.'"
B. The Failure to Share: The Sin of Ungenerosity: The selfish desire for accumulation often manifests in a reluctance or outright refusal to share resources with those in genuine need. Scripture repeatedly calls believers to a spirit of generosity and active compassion. Deuteronomy 15:11 commands, "For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.'" James 2:15-17 powerfully illustrates the emptiness of faith without corresponding acts of generosity towards the less fortunate. Proverbs 21:26 contrasts the insatiable greed of the wicked with the generous heart of the ririghteous.
C. The Violation of Trust and Truth: The Sin of Dishonesty: The pursuit of selfish gain can often lead to dishonest and unethical practices. Acquiring wealth or advantage through deceit, theft, or manipulation is a direct violation of God's commands for truthfulness and integrity. Leviticus 19:11 clearly states, "You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another." Proverbs 11:1 condemns dishonest dealings, declaring, "A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight."
D. The Far-Reaching Harm of Selfishness: Unlike the primarily internal and relational damage caused by begrudging comparison, the sin of selfish acquisition inflicts harm on both the individual, leading to spiritual emptiness and potential divine judgment, and on society as a whole, contributing to inequality, injustice, and the suffering of the vulnerable.
V. Cultivating a Godly Perspective: Principles for Overcoming Comparison and Selfishness
To break free from the destructive traps of begrudging comparison and selfish acquisition, the Bible provides clear and transformative principles for cultivating a godly peperspective.
A.The Power of Gratitude: Philippians 4:11-13 encourages us to cultivate contentment in all circumstances. Focusing our hearts and minds on the blessings we have received, rather than dwelling on what we lack or what others possess, fosters a spirit of genuine gratitude, which is the antithesis of envy and resentment.
B. The Foundation of Humility: Recognizing that all good and perfect gifts ultimately originate from God (James 1:17) lays the foundation for humility. When we acknowledge our dependence on God's grace and provision, we are less prone to comparing ourselves with others or feeling entitled to more.
C. The Call to Love and Compassion: The central command to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:39) redirects our focus outward, compelling us to extend compassion and generosity to those in need. When our hearts are filled with love for others, the selfish desire for accumulation diminishes.
D. The Anchor of Trust in God's Sovereignty and Justice: Ultimately, we must place our unwavering trust in God's perfect justice, wisdom, and sovereignty. His understanding is far beyond our own (Isaiah 55:8-9), and attempting to fully comprehend or control the outcomes of others' lives is often futile. Our primary focus should be on our own obedience and faithfulness to Him, trusting that He will ultimately make all things right.
VI. Conclusion: Choosing Contentment and Generosity on Our Journey of Faith
The internal struggles with begrudging comparison and the external temptations towards selfish acquisition are enduring realities of the human experience. However, through the illuminating wisdom of scripture, particularly the cautionary tale of Cain and the insightful Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, we gain a profound understanding of the spiritual dangers inherent in these attitudes. By actively cultivating hearts of gratitude and humility, by extending love and compassion to our neighbors, and by anchoring our lives in unwavering trust in God's sovereignty and justice, we can break free from the insidious "comparison trap" and resist the corrosive allure of selfish gain. May this study serve as a powerful and ongoing encouragement to diligently examine our hearts, to consciously choose contentment over comparison, and to wholeheartedly embrace a life characterized by generosity, selfless service, and an unwavering focus on our journey of faith with our loving and just God.
Blessings,
Love & Light!

The four pillars of the Gnosis.
1.PHILOSOPHY - The word philosophy is from the Greek philo, love + soph, wisdom.
Philosophy asks the big questions: Who am I? Where did I come from and where am I going? What is my purpose?
Philosophy moves away from relativistic thinking where we only know in relation to what we already know, and into the realm of possibility.
Sophia is often represented in ancient scriptures as an innocent soul that has fallen into duality and confusion but yearns to return to a state of unity in the divine light. Philosophy at its highest potential yearns to investigate into the unknown to discover the light of wisdom and understanding,
2.SCIENCE - A scientific approach involves verification, investigation, methodology. Scientific knowledge must be true and demonstrable, also complete in and of itself.
Scientific knowledge should be objective and not based upon incomplete facts. Science that is separated from a work with the consciousness, from an internal work, will always be subject to the lowest aspects of human nature.
The amazing discovery of subatomic particles was used for one of the most destructive weapons in human history. Science based on a higher intelligence is balanced and humane. In ancient times science was never separate from religion, objective understanding of nature was another aspect of understanding our relationship with the Divine.
“Science itself is contained within all the Cosmos; science exists even when the study of sciences does not exist.” -Samael Aun Weor,
3. MYSTICISM AND RELIGION - Knowing the Inner Being, through the perfume of prayer, meditation and love. Mysticism truly connected to God is simplicity itself, clear, perfect and humble. The term mystic is from the Greek mystikos, the mystery of God, of life, of our own minds. Mystical experience, which is the revelation of the prophets, eventually becomes religion.
The word religion is from the Greek religare to re-unite, or return, to God. All true religions contain different levels and depths of teachings, some appropriate for those just wishing to lead a good life and follow a faith, and some appropriate for those yearning with all their heart to know God directly. Mystical experience is the sweetness and the light that guides the soul back to its divine origin.
“Religion is Magic sanctioned by authority. The Wise understand what true religion is- the eternal necessity that is. For debased souls, religion is a yoke imposed by the vagaries of fear and follies of hope. For exalted souls, religion is a force, springing from an intensified love of God and humanity.” -Eliphas Levi
4. ART - The pillar that expresses Philosophy, Science and Mysticism through music, dance, painting, sculpture, poetry, literature, theater etc.
Art strikes sublime emotional states that inspire us along the path, and the creation of art becomes a gospel that can guide future generations of seekers.

some favorite verses, day 1
Tumblr media
It is a new week, and there will be all kinds of opportunities for you and me.  How are we going to face those, each and every one?  Will we seek what God is doing or what feels good to us?  I challenge you to let God lead, to choose what builds you and others.
Over the next several days I will share with you some of my favorite scriptures.  Each has become a “measuring stick” if you will to help guide decisions and to seek the Lord.
Read this one.  Take it in.  Study it.  Meditate on it or chew on it.  Ask yourself: what is God is saying to me in these verses?
Hebrews 12:1-2  NLT
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
We are not sure who wrote the book of Hebrews, but so much of that book stands out to help us walk closer to Jesus.
May we take positive steps this week based on the verses that have been so strong for me and my faith journey.  Have a great week!

MICAIAH FALKOV
Tumblr media
Character Name: Micaiah Falkov
Faceclaim: Ben Barnes
Age: 39
Gender: Bigender
Pronouns: They/He
City/country/place of origin: A commune called St. George in Texas
Date of arrival: December 2012
Profession, if any: Gardener/Priest
Bio: Micaiah’s entire life happened within the confines of the Texas commune of St. George. The commune, created by Micaiah’s father Abraham Falkov, was the base of operations for the religious cult called ‘Eyes of Eden’. Abraham, the leader, and self-declared prophet, claimed to have foreseen Micaiah’s birth and declared the child to be his heir.
Micaiah’s childhood consisted mostly of studying the scripture and learning the teachings of the cult. Being revered by the larger community as the prophesied child, expectations were placed on them from a young age to one day be the communities leader, to be the one to fulfill their goal of returning to the Garden of Eden. Micaiah is open about the things that were done to them in the name of faith, though they are honest that they don’t remember all of it. They remember the services and sermons, they remember people looking upon them with pure bliss and reverence. Other things they can’t properly recall - such as the self-flagellation or the times they would be isolated in a dark room for hours on end, so they could pray and receive god’s message. How they lost one of their eyes and their legs is completely dark in their mind either - they can’t recall the weeks that led up to those events, or what exactly came after. They just know that losing their legs was an accident - they know that losing their eye wasn’t. Micaiah remembers having doubts as they got older - doubts both about the teachings of the Eyes of Eden and their father’s leadership. But, unable to really voice these doubts, the years of indoctrination weighing heavily on them, they remained quiet. It was then, that they were pulled onto Panopticon Island. They remember being at a sermon in one moment and on the Island in the next. Years of living on Panopticon Island have, in a way, disillusioned them. They are still involved in their faith, trying to be a spiritual guide, but even though they wish to remain loyal to those who raised them, they cannot deny the damage they endured. They have a lot to unlearn as well as a lot to learn.

Verses 10.12 & 10.13 - Vibhuti Yoga
arjuna uvācha
paraṁ brahma paraṁ dhāma pavitraṁ paramaṁ bhavān।
puruṣhaṁ śhāśhvataṁ divyam ādi-devam ajaṁ vibhum।। १२।।
āhus tvām ṛiṣhayaḥ sarve devarṣhir nāradas tathā।
asito devalo vyāsaḥ svayaṁ chaiva bravīṣhi me।।१३।।
Arjuna said:
You are the Supreme Brahman, the Supreme Abode, the Supreme Purifier, the Eternal Divine Person, the Primal God, the Unborn, and the Greatest. (12)
All the sages, such as Narada, Asita, Devala, and Vyasa, declare this about You; and now You Yourself are declaring it to me. (13)
In these verses, Arjuna expresses his conviction and faith in Krishna's supreme divinity. He addresses Krishna with various epithets that signify his transcendental nature and attributes. He acknowledges that Krishna is the source of everything, the ultimate reality, the purest being, the eternal self, the original lord, the unborn creator, and the omnipotent ruler. He also affirms that Krishna's glory is not based on his own words alone, but on the testimony of many sages and scriptures who have realized his truth.
Arjuna's declaration is a sign of his surrender and devotion to the Lord. He has no doubt or hesitation in accepting Him as his Supreme Lord and Master. He has heard his teachings on various topics such as karma, dharma, yoga, bhakti, jnana, etc., and he has also witnessed his cosmic form that revealed his infinite manifestations. He has realized that Krishna is not an ordinary human being, but the supreme personality of Godhead who has descended to this world for a divine purpose.
Krishna is pleased with Arjuna's faith and devotion. He considers Arjuna as his dear friend and devotee who is qualified to receive his grace and knowledge. He reveals to Arjuna more secrets about his opulence and majesty in the following verses. He tells Arjuna that he is the origin and support of all beings and things in this universe. He enumerates some of his special manifestations that represent his power and beauty. He also explains how one can attain him by Constant Remembrance and worship.
These verses are also important for us as seekers of spiritual wisdom. They teach us how to approach and relate to God as our Supreme Lord and Guide. They inspire us to develop faith and devotion in the Lord's words and deeds. They encourage us to study and follow the teachings of the sages and scriptures who have realized this truth. They also urge us to seek the Lord's grace and vision by engaging in his service and meditation.
These verses are in harmony with other Vedic texts that proclaim Krishna's supreme divinity.
For example, in the Rig Veda (1.22.20), it is said: "He is above all beings; he alone encompasses this entire universe."
In the Shvetashvatara Upanishad (6.7), it is said: "He is the inner self of all beings; he transcends material nature; he is the controller of time; he alone bestows immortality."
In the Brahma Sutra (1.1.2), it is said: "The source of this world is Brahman, who is the Supreme Lord."
In the Narayana Upanishad (1), it is said: "He is the Supreme Brahman; he is the Highest Self; he is the Supreme Light; he is the Supreme Lord."

Sai Baba Books: A Spiritual Bridge to the Teachings of Sadguru Sainath
The journey toward spiritual fulfillment is deeply personal yet universally significant. For centuries, saints and sages have guided humanity along this path. Among them, Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi holds a timeless place in the hearts of devotees. His teachings, filled with simplicity, love, and profound wisdom, continue to transform lives across generations. One of the most powerful ways to access this spiritual guidance today is through Sai Baba Books.
At Shri Sai Gyaneshwari, we believe in preserving and promoting the sacred knowledge of Shri Sai Baba in its most authentic form. Our collection of Sai Baba Books is curated not only for information but for inner transformation. These books are more than just words they are living scriptures that carry Baba’s divine energy and teachings.
While the Sai Satcharitra is considered the most popular Sai Baba Book, true seekers often desire a deeper, more interpretive experience. This is where Shri Sai Gyaneshwari stands out as a unique contribution to Sai Baba Literature. Based on the writings of Dasganu Maharaj and translated by Shri Rakesh Juneja, this work compiles seven significant chapters that encapsulate Baba’s wisdom on spirituality, devotion, and self-realization.
Divided into nine chapters aligned with the Navadha Bhakti (nine-fold devotion), Shri Sai Gyaneshwari addresses the deeper questions of life, karma, and human suffering. Every page resonates with Baba’s grace, helping readers rise above the illusions of the material world and connect with the eternal truth of the soul.
One of the main objectives of our platform is to make these divine texts accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer both Sai Baba Books in Hindi and Sai Baba Books in English. Whether you prefer the poetic depth of Hindi or the clarity of English, the essence of Baba’s teachings remains intact. Language is only a medium; the message is what matters.
Devotees who read Shri Sai Gyaneshwari often report a sense of calm, clarity, and connectedness. They say it’s like having a personal conversation with Baba himself. And it’s not just about comfort; these books serve as practical manuals for living a life guided by faith, humility, and surrender. Each Sai Baba Book in our collection helps the reader internalize the truth that we are not this body, but divine souls bound for higher realization.
We also emphasize the importance of sourcing these sacred books from trusted places like Sai Book House. A genuine source ensures the purity of content and the preservation of spiritual integrity. In a world where commercialism often dilutes religious literature, Sai Book House remains committed to offering only authentic, spiritually uplifting Sai Books.
Over time, the regular reading of Sai Baba Books cultivates unwavering faith in Baba. It eliminates fear, reduces attachment to worldly pleasures, and gradually shifts the seeker’s focus inward. Baba’s core message that of Saburi (patience) and Shraddha (faith) becomes a living principle. With each reading session, a devotee takes a step closer to inner freedom.
Moreover, the versatility of Sai Baba Literature makes it suitable for people of all walks of life. Whether you're a young student, a working professional, or a retired spiritual seeker, Baba’s words have the ability to meet you exactly where you are in life. They offer solace in sorrow, strength during trials, and guidance when you feel lost.
At Shri Sai Gyaneshwari, our vision goes beyond publishing. We aim to create a spiritual movement one where Sai Baba Books act as lighthouses for those sailing the stormy seas of modern life. With every book shared, we move a step closer to Baba’s dream of universal brotherhood, love, and peace.
Another key feature of our books is the deep commentary provided by Shri Rakesh Juneja. These insights are not academic interpretations but heartfelt explanations based on years of devotion and study. This makes Shri Sai Gyaneshwari a standout among Sai Baba Books a spiritual treasure house that speaks to the soul, not just the intellect.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, the simple act of sitting down with a spiritual book is revolutionary. It's a return to silence, reflection, and true connection. Whether you start your day by reading a passage from Sai Baba Books in English, or end your evening with verses from Sai Baba Books in Hindi, the impact is the same spiritual nourishment that elevates your consciousness.

Eli Kittim In a Nutshell
Eli Kittim’s theological framework, in a nutshell, emphasizes the centrality of spiritual rebirth and the authority of the Holy Spirit in understanding the Bible and Christian life. He views the Bible as a "prophetic story" which unfolds through history, culminating in the endtimes Messiah who will fulfill all the promises of scripture. His work focuses on Biblical languages, advocating for a less historicized understanding of scripture and a re-evaluation of various theological, christological, and eschatological doctrines.
Eli of Kittim argues that the Bible’s truth claims should not be confused with historical accuracy, as the text is a work of faith, not a history book, emphasizing spiritual knowledge over empirical evidence, which aligns with his broader critique of secular historicism in biblical studies. He critiques liberal scholarship for reducing the Bible to historical analysis, arguing that the existential experience of spiritual rebirth provides a stronger epistemic basis for knowledge of “being” than historical or scientific validation.
Kittim emphasizes the importance of being “born-again-in-Christ” as the core of Christianity, using Bible verses like Jn 3:3 and Eph. 4:22-24 to highlight spiritual rebirth over academic or institutional religious credentials. Drawing from his personal encounter with God and biblical examples like Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus, he argues that accurate biblical interpretation comes from divine revelation through the Holy Spirit, not from religious institutions or doctrines. He asserts that neither the Bible nor the church holds ultimate authority over the Holy Spirit, which he believes guides all truth, as supported by Jn 16:13 in the New Testament (NT).
Eli Kittim’s work is grounded on translation studies of the Greek NT, challenging conventional interpretations of scripture with a focus on prophetic rather than historical views of Jesus. This view reflects Kittim’s broader work in biblical criticism, published in journals like the Journal of Higher Criticism, where he critiques conventional methodologies and epistemologies used in historical Jesus studies, advocating for a new approach to understanding Christ’s identity, which he grounds in biblical Greek exegesis.
Eli of Kittim argues that the NT is not a historical record but a collection of prophetic writings based on visions and revelations, challenging the traditional view that the gospels document real historical events about Jesus. He argues that the gospels are theological fiction, not historical accounts, as they lack eyewitness support and were written approximately 50-70 years after Jesus’ supposed time, while mirroring Old Testament (OT) narratives. Kittim argues that the gospel’s message is inspired but not literal, asserting that the epistles reveal the “real” Jesus. Based on hermeneutical principles, Eli Kittim argues that the NT epistles, being more explicit and didactic, should take precedence over the gospels in interpreting Jesus’ timeline, placing his birth, death, and resurrection in an eschatological future rather than historical past. He emphasizes the importance of the “priority of the epistles,” arguing that the Greek NT epistles, some of the earliest Christian writings, provide the most authentic account of Jesus’ story, challenging the traditional focus on the gospels, a view supported by scholars like Richard Carrier who argue the epistles reflect early Christianity more accurately.
Eli Kittim challenges traditional Christian theology by proposing that the death of Christ is a future event, not a historical one. He bases his theory on NT epistles, such as 1 Pet. 1:20 and Heb. 9:26b, which he interprets as placing Christ’s appearance “at the end of the ages,” challenging traditional Christian views by suggesting the gospels’ accounts are theological constructs meant to prepare believers for a future messianic arrival. Kittim suggests that Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection in the gospels are symbolic events tied to apocalyptic prophecy. For him, biblical texts like Heb. 1:2 and 1 Pet. 1:20 place Christ’s birth, death, and resurrection in the last days, during the “end of the world,” contradicting mainstream Christian doctrine. Kittim cites Heb. 9:26 to support his claim that Jesus’ sacrifice occurs “at the end of the age,” a phrase linked to apocalyptic times in Matt. 24:3, challenging the traditional gospel narrative by aligning it with apocalyptic prophecies in Dan. 12:1-2 and Rev. 12:5.
Eli of Kittim introduces “proleptic eschatology,” arguing that the NT gospels depict Jesus’ life (which is essentially a prophecy) as if it has already happened, using a theological narrative device called “prolepsis” to “biographize the eschaton” (end times). He also highlights intertextuality, noting that gospel stories, such as the Feeding of the 5,000 (Jn 6:5-13), are literary constructs that borrow heavily from OT passages like 2 Kgs 4:40-44, questioning their historical authenticity and aligning with Kittim’s eschatological reinterpretation. Eli Kittim’s work challenges mainstream Christian assumptions and disputes the biographical reading of the gospels, which aligns with scholarly views that the gospels reflect community theologies rather than eyewitness testimony. He argues that the gospels’ anonymous authorship and lack of firsthand accounts undermine their historical reliability. He cites NT epistles (e.g. Heb. 9:26, 1 Pet. 1:20) to argue that Christ’s timeline is eschatological, occurring “at the end of the age.” This interpretation contrasts with mainstream biblical scholarship, which often views the gospels as theological but historically rooted, while Kittim’s approach emphasizes prophetic and symbolic readings, potentially redefining Christian eschatology.
Kittim argues that biblical texts like Isa. 2:19 and Dan. 12:1-2 place the Lord’s resurrection in the “last days,” not 2,000 years ago, challenging traditional Christian theology by interpreting Hebrew and Greek terms like “qum” (arise) and “anastasis” (resurrection) as eschatological resurrection events. He cites the Septuagint’s Greek translation of Isa. 2:19, where “arises” (anastasis) implies resurrection during the Lord’s Day (“when He rises to shake the earth”), and Dan. 12:1, where “Michael” (a figure Kittim associates with Christ) dies and resurrects at the end of days, aligning with Heb. 9:26’s timing of Christ’s sacrifice “in the end of the world.” Kittim’s view challenges the mainstream Christian belief in a historical resurrection, suggesting instead a future event tied to Judgment Day, supported by linguistic analysis of scripture (see e.g. 1 Cor. 15:54 where death is conquered in the end times).
Eli of Kittim interprets the birth of Christ in Gal. 4:4 as a future event tied to the “fullness of time,” which Eph. 1:9-10 defines as the consummation of the ages, challenging traditional views that place this event in antiquity. He argues that the NT epistles, being more didactic, should take interpretive priority over the gospels, which are more theological and symbolic. He supports his view with broader scriptural references, like Zeph. 1:7, Dan. 12:1-2, Heb. 9:26, 1 Pet. 1:20, and Rev. 12:5, asserting that the Messiah’s timeline aligns with end-time events, challenging traditional historical interpretations of Jesus’ life.
Eli Kittim argues that the NT term “revelation” (Greek: apokalupsis) for Christ’s future coming implies a first-time unveiling, not a second coming, challenging traditional Christian eschatology by suggesting Jesus’ appearance will occur only once, at the end of the age. Kittim’s interpretation hinges on Heb. 9:26–28, where he posits that Christ’s “second appearance“ refers to his resurrection, not a second coming, aligning with his broader thesis that Jesus’ life and sacrifice are future eschatological events, not historical ones. This perspective, rooted in Kittim’s 2013 work The Little Book of Revelation, contrasts with mainstream Christian views by reinterpreting biblical prophecy, drawing on Greek linguistics and textual analysis to propose a singular, end-times manifestation of Christ. As N.T. Wright correctly points out, the eschatological references to Jesus in the NT don’t mention a second coming but rather a future appearance or manifestation!
Kittim challenges traditional biblical scholarship by arguing that the NT is a collection of prophecies about future events, not historical records, and that Jesus’ coming will occur at the end of days. Kittim’s method, grounded in Greek NT exegesis and special revelation, critiques mainstream theology as consensus-driven, suggesting that events like the death and resurrection of Jesus are yet to happen, which contrasts sharply with conventional Christian interpretations. His theory aligns with some biblical scholarship, like James Dunn’s view on Jesus’ future resurrection (cf. 1 Cor. 15:22-24) as well as with extrabiblical historical texts, as evidenced by Philo’s silence on Jesus, despite being a contemporary, suggesting Jesus' story may not have been historical in the first century.
His methodology critiques historical Jesus studies as epistemologically flawed, proposing new criteria for understanding Christ’s identity and timing, supported by his translations of Koine Greek and scholarly analysis of messianic prophecies. Specifically, Kittim’s method challenges traditional historical Jesus studies by prioritizing epistles over gospels, viewing the latter as “proleptic” (future events written as if past), a perspective supported by passages like 2 Pet. 1:16-19, where “eyewitness accounts” are described as visions, not historical observations. Similarly, Kittim’s interpretation of Pauline epistles, such as 1 Cor. 15:8 where Paul describes himself as being born before the due time, using the word eschaton (ἔσχατον), suggests a prophetic rather than historical framework for Jesus’ life, supported by similar prophetic language in 1 Pet. 1:10-11, 2 Pet. 1:19, Acts 2:23, and Acts 10:41, which emphasizes foreknowledge over historical fact.
In summary, Eli of Kittim’s book, The Little Book of Revelation, argues that Jesus’ first coming is a future event, not a historical one, challenging traditional Christian doctrine by interpreting the Bible as prophecy rather than history. The book, published in 2013 and winner of a 2015 Goodreads award, has been reviewed positively by BlueInk Review, a professional service linked to the American Library Association, suggesting credibility among independent literary and academic circles. Eli Kittim critiques modern Christianity, arguing its teachings are deceptive and lack divine revelation, citing biblical verses like Matt. 24:4 and 1 Tim. 4:1 that predict widespread false teachings in the end times.
Christ didn’t fail the first time so that he needs to come back multiple times to finish the job. He completes the mission “once in the end of the world” (Heb. 9:26)!
