I was focusing on the character creator for the thing I'm trying to make in ren'py looks like an absolute nightmare but there is a method (no there isn't) to the madness

also upsetting because like. I've been abused by not just one but three different people that struggle w/ a cluster b disorder. Meanwhile some of the most loving people I cherish closely struggle as well. It's not an excuse for discrimination. Abuse can look a little different based on personality, which a personality disorder will obviously effect, but what actually drives abusive behavior is completely unrelated and present in plenty of people without any type of disorder. You do other survivors and the discussion around abuse a disservice as a whole when you act like people with cluster b's are uniquely prone to doing it, especially when the statistics do not support that at all and quite the opposite actually

Y'all ready to listen to Tumblr User Irlkisukeurahara complain again?? Alright lets get into this shit. The last frame of Byakuya vs Äs Nödt still bothers me. Physics are out the window here for one. His clothes are completely in tact. Definitely not how that would work. But enough of boring complaints like that. It seems like they severely downplayed the gore because they're retconning the twist of Byakuya potentially dying. That's all well and good but that still severely lessens the impact of the scene. But I've already complained about that. Something else that bothers me about this change, though...

These Äs Nödt lines have to go. And honestly as an Äs Nödt fan it makes me sad. Not cause it's a huge character moment or something like that, but because taking a character quirk out of a sternritter can be super damaging. The sternritter are already oddly written characters, few get fleshed out and even fewer get backstory. Little quirks like this make a character feel well rounded. And that's the thing with the sternritter, they aren't all well-rounded. Taking away a mole hill feels like taking away a mountain with characters that aren't aren't always fleshed out, like the sternritter. Also, these lines are fucking great. Äs is a twisted son of a bitch and I love them for it.

Sucks that these lines will no longer make sense because they basically made Byakuya uninjured (aside from his arm and shoulder obviously) because they couldn't just settle for removing Jugram's line about Byakuya dying.

Literally, that would've been enough! We already know Byakuya lives. Anime-only viewers already KNOW he's survived! The first trailer for the anime literally confirmed that fact!

So WHY do they have to ruin THE panel of Byakuya for this? They've already made it clear Byakuya isn't dying. Jugram no longer saying "It seems Byakuya Kuchiki has died." Is enough to retcon Byakuya's death. But they had to go above and beyond and basically make Byakuya's defeat look entirely un-impactful. As both a Byakuya fan and an Äs Nödt fan, this whole thing bothers me a lot.
