Woo got Linux working! On a related note I have gotten over any fear of breaking things through the command line and also can now roll back to an earlier system backup. Yes those are related. In my defense, breaking things in interesting ways is a great way to figure out what's actually going wrong.

hi everyone! no page today, probably not sunday either. my pc has been out of commission for over a month so i've been drawing on my laptop--but i'm getting to the point where i really would like to 3d model my backgrounds to make them a little easier on me and give me more energy to experiment/make pages nicer, so i'm going to try to hold out until my pc gets fixed and i can do so for these next couple of pages.

it'll be a lot of front-loaded work, but it'll be worth it in the long run, i think!

1. what made you ship it?

i kinda got into disco elysium as a fandom before i played the game, i scrolled a lot of peoples interpretations of it but honestly what really caught me was the fact you could honestly interpret lots of it as friends or romantic, like thats very engaging to me bc its not just 'these characters are close so we ship them' its 'these characters are intertwined in the narrative no matter their dynamic'

i also liked that people ship them gross style ❤️

2. what are your favourite things about the ship?

dude everything lmaoo, we all make jokes about how de is actually a game about making kim like you, but when playing it really does feel like kim is the only lifeline harry has. his rock in a sea of everything his brain is doing. they compliment each other in so many ways, from colors to composure. theyre so cat and dog coded. theyre not even red and blue coded theyre something weirder- orange and green.

harry is a man who talks to random objects and kim is a man who leaves him to it, and then incorporates it into his notes when harry tells him that the city told him something. he caught on and accepted harrys specific brand of nuts after only a few days and i think that, if nothing else, demands some exploration

3. is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

not really? i dont think so anyway, i guess i see some people hc that kim is very familiar with the homosexual underground and introduces harry to it, but personally to me, i thought kim seemed like the type to be too tightly controlled to do more than dip his toes in, too scared of it getting out and ruining the career he worked so hard for. i do like the hc that he knows a lot about it though, so i dont mind either way

Okay, so, hahaha, does anyone read my tags? Does anyone remember how I said I fucked up a thing but it's fine now because I fixed it? Yeah I fixed it worse than I started so, um, oops! And I don't feel like trying to figure out how to fix that, so I relegated the first attempt to a backup file and started over from scratch, paying much closer attention to the process this time.

And you know what? I think it's going better than last time :D

We'll find out together :P

I opened up my computer to find that its touch screen and pen suddenly don't work so I went and dug around in my settings after a restart didn't fix it and saw in my device specifications it's specifically showing "no pen and touch input is available on this display". Which is odd considering that's thw whole point of this stupid fucking computer. I tell myself okay don't panic. Look it up. Check Google. Google tells me to open up my device manager and find "HID-compliant touch screen" under the human interface devices and turn it on and off essentially. I look. It doesn't even fucking exist in there anymore??? Hm. Okay. Maybe panic?

Thanks for the garbage update which somehow made my computer say that there's no battery detected, Windows! Adding your garbage ai that I have never asked for sure made it all worth it!
