Selecting the right 3D flythrough service for your project can be a game-changer in how your vision is presented to clients or stakeholders. Whether you are in real estate, architecture, or interior design, a high-quality 3D flythrough can make your project stand out. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you choose the best service for your needs.
Tumblr media
Understand Your Project Needs
Project Type: Determine the type of project you have. Is it a residential building, commercial space, or an interior design project? Different projects may require different types of 3D flythroughs or animated walkthroughs.
Detail Level: Assess the level of detail required. Some projects may need high-detail visuals with intricate textures and lighting, while others might need a more basic flythrough.
Check the Company’s Portfolio
Diverse Experience: Look for a company with a diverse portfolio that showcases a variety of projects. This indicates their ability to handle different styles and requirements.
Quality of Work: Examine the quality of their previous work. Pay attention to the realism of textures, lighting, and the smoothness of animations in their 3D flythroughs.
Evaluate Technology and Tools Used
Latest Software: Ensure the service provider uses the latest 3D rendering software and technology. Advanced tools can significantly enhance the quality and efficiency of creating 3D flythroughs.
Virtual Reality Integration: If needed, check if they offer integration with virtual reality platforms, which can provide an even more immersive experience.
Customization Options
Personalized Features: The service should offer customization options tailored to your specific needs, such as customizable camera paths, specific scenes, and unique design elements.
Interactive Elements: For more engaging presentations, look for services that can incorporate interactive elements into the flythroughs.
Client Reviews and Testimonials
Feedback: Read reviews and testimonials from previous clients. This can provide insights into the reliability and quality of the service.
Case Studies: Ask for case studies or examples of similar projects they have worked on. This can help you gauge their expertise in your particular field.
Communication and Collaboration
Project Management: Good communication is key. Ensure the service provider has a clear project management process and is open to collaboration.
Revisions Policy: Check their policy on revisions. It's essential to work with a company that allows for adjustments and changes as the project progresses.
Cost and Budget
Transparent Pricing: The pricing should be transparent with no hidden fees. Get a detailed quote that outlines all costs involved.
Value for Money: While it’s important to stay within budget, don’t compromise on quality. Evaluate the overall value offered by the service, including support, customization, and quality of output.
Conclusion
Choosing the right 3D flythrough service involves careful consideration of your project’s needs, the company’s expertise, technology used, and their ability to deliver customized, high-quality work. By following these steps, you can ensure that your project is presented in the best possible light, making a lasting impression on your audience.

Altissia, the Leviathan battle. Special MTs emerge from dropships and flythrough the air on wires to attack the Tidemother. As Noctis makes his way to the altar you can see them whizz past but they are little more than a blur, unless of course you have Ansel. With their fancy uniform and gruesome smiling masks they are a pretty scary sight! All images copyright Square Enix Co Ltd.

Final Fantasy VII - Episode 011
youtube
Break Through!
This 7-minute episode comprises most of Chapter 5, all of Chapter 6, and the first half of Chapter 7. That’s roughly 3 hours of Remake distilled into 7 minutes, and despite the added bits of scenes it is shorter than even the OG!
I almost put this entire episode in the Deleted Scene category as well, except for that the striking visual of the Plate’s underbelly and the iconic battle theme are part of Final Fantasy VII’s identity, its texture. That said, this episode is very skippable if you are not a fan of the Zack Snyder’s 300-esque combat sequences.
On the Music
90% of this music track is the track Break Through! Which combines Those Who Fight and Bombing Mission and even a bit of Shinra’s Theme. It’s a tremendous track that never fails to have me grooving and hyped as all get-out – and yet, even here did I make an edit. The climax of the song has been swapped with a combination of Let the Battles Begin! from EC and The Hideout from Remake - the cherry on top is a live flute performance by Julio de Flice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q53HEZHTx5k
Why did I go to all that effort? Well, actually it was all just to remove a LEAD violin and french horn lick that appears in almost every version of the 7R Battle Theme. The arrangement is lovely, but the fact that it consistently leads the climax (and the flute is never given its day) is just boggling to me. Really? We never, not once, not with dozens of versions of the song, get a straight orchestration of the original?
I’m not thrilled that the EC version (a version without the extra lick) gives the flute part to a trumpet - it got to me so badly that at one point I was trying to use Pontus Huglren’s orchestration instead (https://youtu.be/oBnIKaafPHY?si=-yWDz_vsHamqqznZ ) but its bpm is ever so slightly different… As are Crab Warden nor Abzu, two nearly-faithful versions of the track. What’s a girl to do? Enter the Julio de Flice recording, which was a solo performance and easier to line up with the rest of the orchestra.
[Chapter 05] Scenes 12-36
I had a ball filming these fight scenes. I did one pass-through  just filming what I could, improvising with the fly-cam, then I took a few core shots that I really wanted to show, and built a storyboard around them. I actually did a first pass for several more fights, including with a giant grashtrike and a new crab mech from Remake. In the end though, I went with a brisker pace that covers more of the story in a shorter amount of time.
I also finally learned how to control both the camera and Cloud at the same time, which allowed me to get those few shots where Cloud is running while the camera is panning or pushing along.
Chapter 06
Cloud, Barret, and Tifa make their way under the Plate towards the edge of Midgar! The Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie content is pulled from Remake’s Chapter 4, employing two mods (Semi-Playable Jessie Over Cloud by Crandifff, and Invisible Buster Sword by Jujub) which allowed us to get the trio doing heist stuff together, which I tought would be a fun touch. In OG, they are running around under the Plate with you, and can give you items if you catch them. Here, they’re planning for the backup plans Barret mentioned last episode - Biggs is the one they will run into.
In this section, I played around more with the Unreal Engine Unlocker and programmed in some crane shots which I used when moving into the path of the fan (I really like how that looks, Cloud is basically blown in the frame) and to transition from the underbelly into that blue hallway in a 2-second flythrough.
The dialogue in the Biggs scene is mostly from 7R, or approximated to match the mouth flapping. The grappling guns are also an invention of 7R, but they help adjust to the visual change of the Plate being an extra 250 metres up (foreshadowing!)
[Chapter 07] Scenes 01-14
Another nice crane shot here as I controlled Cloud descending a ladder. The fight with the grunts occurs later in Remake.
I learned how to “clone” actors, since the fight showed our crew slaying red-suited grunts left and right, and there’s technically only one. So I made two more, tried to hide the fact that they’re T-Posing, and place them in two early shots to make the whole thing seem like too many enemies to count.
Musically, this is the big climactic release of Those Who Fight, and moreover this is the climax of a lonnnng episode. Initially I had planned for something pretty spectacular: setting up multiple fights throughout the reactor, and showing them all concurrently!
The idea was to have each movement of the score to showcase a particular vibe (“Tifa kicking ass” or “Our crew narrowly evading danger”) and cutting between the different fights. This ‘great idea’ turned out to be not very fun to watch, so I returned to what I have been doing so far, which is loosely arranging shots to give the suggestion of a combat narrative (eg. Tifa gets shot, Barret heals her, she leaps back into the fray, etc.)
Eagle-eyed viewers will spot Barret bouncing around the battlefield. It is really hard to get all three characters and all three enemies to stay where I want them, since I only have control of one character at a time. Not just hard - actually impossible.
I quite love the shot that leads into the song’s bridge (the flute) I had programmed it for a different sequence I hoped to capture, but that didn’t work out so I just restarted the camera track a few more times while taking control of Tifa and punching those guys to high heaven. I kind of like that you see her boots fly through the frame and then it reveals that she was cartwheeling herself into a flying punch!
Final Thoughts
Not much in the way of plot, but one of this series’ goal is to celebrate the game’s art and design, and I would be remiss if I didn’t include the grunt, grashtrike, blugu, and terpsicolt enemies, and of course – front and center – the score. The time spent with Cloud, Tifa, and Barret on their adventure is going to make what comes next even more exciting.
For the next episode I have to consider whether I’m going to let a big change in 7R stand, or if I can find a way to de-make it…

Hubble investigates galaxy with nine rings
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has captured a cosmic bullseye! The gargantuan galaxy LEDA 1313424 is rippling with nine star-filled rings after an “arrow” — a far smaller blue dwarf galaxy — shot through its heart. Astronomers using Hubble identified eight visible rings, more than previously detected by any telescope in any galaxy, and confirmed a ninth using data from the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii. Previous observations of other galaxies show a maximum of two or three rings.
“This was a serendipitous discovery,” said Imad Pasha, the lead researcher and a doctoral student at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. “I was looking at a ground-based imaging survey and when I saw a galaxy with several clear rings, I was immediately drawn to it. I had to stop to investigate it.” The team later nicknamed the galaxy the “Bullseye.”
Hubble and Keck’s follow-up observations also helped the researchers prove which galaxy plunged through the center of the Bullseye — a blue dwarf galaxy to its center-left. This relatively tiny interloper traveled like a dart through the core of the Bullseye about 50 million years ago, leaving rings in its wake like ripples in a pond. A thin trail of gas now links the pair, though they are currently separated by 130,000 light-years.
“We’re catching the Bullseye at a very special moment in time,” said Pieter G. van Dokkum, a co-author of the new study and a professor at Yale. “There’s a very narrow window after the impact when a galaxy like this would have so many rings.”
Galaxies collide or barely miss one another quite frequently on cosmic timescales, but it is extremely rare for one galaxy to dive through the center of another. The blue dwarf galaxy’s straight trajectory through the Bullseye later caused material to move both inward and outward in waves, setting off new regions of star formation.
How big is the Bullseye? Our Milky Way galaxy is about 100,000 light-years in diameter, and the Bullseye is almost two-and-a-half times larger, at 250,000 light-years across.
The researchers used Hubble’s crisp vision to carefully to pinpoint the location of most of its rings, since many are piled up at the center. “This would have been impossible without Hubble,” Pasha said.
They used Keck to confirm one more ring. The team suspects a 10th ring also existed, but has faded and is no longer detectable. They estimate it might lie three times farther out than the widest ring in Hubble’s image.
A One-to-One Match with Predictions
Pasha also found a stunning connection between the Bullseye and a long-established theory: The galaxy’s rings appear to have moved outward almost exactly as predicted by models.
“That theory was developed for the day that someone saw so many rings,” van Dokkum said. “It is immensely gratifying to confirm this long-standing prediction with the Bullseye galaxy.”
If viewed from above, it would be more obvious that the galaxy’s rings aren’t evenly spaced like those on a dart board. Hubble’s image shows the galaxy from a slight angle. “If we were to look down at the galaxy directly, the rings would look circular, with rings bunched up at the center and gradually becoming more spaced out the farther out they are,” Pasha explained.
To visualize how these rings may have formed, think about dropping a pebble into a pond. The first ring ripples out, becoming the widest over time, while others continue to form after it.
The researchers suspect that the first two rings in the Bullseye formed quickly and spread out in wider circles. The formation of additional rings may have been slightly staggered, since the blue dwarf galaxy’s flythrough affected the first rings more significantly.
Individual stars’ orbits were largely undisturbed, though groups of stars did “pile up” to form distinguishable rings over millions of years. The gas, however, was carried outward, and mixed with dust to form new stars, further brightening the Bullseye’s rings.
There’s a lot more research to be done to figure out which stars existed before and after the blue dwarf’s “fly through.” Astronomers will now also be able to improve models showing how the galaxy may continue to evolve over billions of years, including the disappearance of additional rings.
Although this discovery was a chance finding, astronomers can look forward to finding more galaxies like this one soon. “Once NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope begins science operations, interesting objects will pop out much more easily,” van Dokkum explained. “We will learn how rare these spectacular events really are.”
IMAGE: LEDA 1313424, aptly nicknamed the Bullseye, is two and a half times the size of our Milky Way and has nine rings — six more than any other known galaxy. High-resolution imagery from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope confirmed eight rings, and data from the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii confirmed a ninth. Hubble and Keck also confirmed which galaxy dove through the Bullseye, creating these rings: the blue dwarf galaxy that sits to its immediate center-left. Just watched The Marvels on the plane. The feminine touch was strong on this one. The back and forth between the women gave kinda…girl car trip movie vibes?? There were dress-ups and musicals and lots of kittens, and meta things like fanart and fanfiction. Fury was so…soft in this one. He’s never been this soft with any of the others, maybe a little with Nat but not quite like this. The three characters were a good match-up as well, because they all had their own distinct personalities and voices. The entire Indian family is the highlight, they are just too real, especially the mum.
A little more weight could have been given to Carol accidentally destroying Hala. It just felt like the horrors of that mistake and her trying to make up for it was a distant afterthought instead of the main focus of the story. A stronger story could have come from Carol already working on trying to revive Hala and Dar-Benn not realising that, and end up working against each other. Instead it kind of just…came about from a throwaway line and a 10 second flythrough by Carol in the end. And honestly, a lot of the heavier themes could have done with some more pathos, and the fights could have done with some grieving room in between. Carol has genuinely been running from battle to battle for at least the last 30 years. This was the perfect opportunity to show what she’s chasing — maybe all the lives that slipped through her fingers, maybe the mistakes she made, maybe the need to prove she’s got something to live for. Hints of it were there but a lot of it was buried by the messy story.
I loved the phasing fight sequences. The actual stunts might not have been super original, but the switching of the characters and scenes made for some hilarious and suspenseful fights.
I’m sure this probably got some people triggered but I work in a pretty multicultural part of town, so it was really nice seeing so many POCs on the space station? That sort of work environment feels familiar to me.
Overall, maybe not a movie I’d rewatch but it certainly had some highlights.

REVIEW: GHOST IN THE SHELL (2017)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ghost in the Shell is a film created in 2017 based on the Japanese manga/anime of the same name. The movie description is as follows: In the near future, Major is the first of her kind: a human who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world's most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people's minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that her life was stolen instead of saved. Now, she will stop at nothing to recover her past while punishing those who did this to her.
It has been a while since I've seen Ghost in the Shell, so it was very refreshing to watch it again. However, this time I intended to observe two main things: The city and the Hologram technology that is used/portrayed in the film.
9 minutes into this film we are already granted a flythrough of Newport City, we are given a nice view of the various types of hologram technology in between streets and alleyways as well as the grandeur of the larger holograms that can be seen from the "cityscape perspective".
Seeing the holograms used has given me some inspiration on where to place the ones in my city as well as the types of individuals/symbols I should consider using.
One thing I will say though, considering I am hyperfocused on the holograms, there is an abundance of them. So much so, that it is a bit distracting and overwhelming. I want to play off of this in my own renders. Ideally, I want to distinguish between "overwhelming" and just enough.

Had a crazy dream there was some game kinda like a mix of apex legends, halo, and rainbow six siege called TEGR and it was like. very fun on its own but for whatever reason you could also play minecraft from the same launcher as it without any extra loadtime or anything but if you got banned in TEGR it'd also ban your minecraft account but you could still play singleplayer. But there was one feature that didn't work properly which was going to the nether. If you attempted to go to the nether on a banned TEGR MC account it'd send you to another dimension that people called The Divide instead and it was like.... indescribably trippy, weird, and large and had no roof. It was much much bigger in terms of blocks than vanilla mc and it looked sort of like one of those 3d fractals flythrough videos and there was graphical and gameplay features from TEGR that sort of leaked into it such as lens flares and mechanics like wallrunning and dolphin jumping. I remember seeing what looked like huge threads of bedrock knitted together into a sort of cloth with dozens of stars inbetween them and like an empty pale green-grey sky behind everything. in some areas the air itself seemed to be suffused with colorful particles in fractal patterns which made just moving around feel like you were seeing patterns and colors you shouldn't be able to. hard to explain.

cynical musical fan questions! 2, 5, 7, 11, 25?
2. What is the oldest musical you love?
Ohh, tough question!!! Had to go check ALW chronology hahah. I think it's Evita (1976). I haven't actually listened to much of anything Golden Age etc. 🙈
5. Who is your favourite musical theatre lyricist?
Michael Kunze >:) inspirational slay king etc. Alle fragen sind gestellt hits soooo hard, Elisabeth Prolog hits so hard, Schatten 1+2 hit so hard, Für Sarah hits so hard, Kitsch hits so hard, Mozart! Mozart! hits so hard, Was für ein Grausames Leben hits so hard, Der Tanz der Vampire hits so hard... in his interviews he talks about being a cynic in his 20s already (iirc) and that's so relatable and iconic 😭😭😭😭 I think getting rich made him worse at writing musicals and hence the new ones (after Rebecca basically lol) haven't been hits, you don't get the urge to rant sharply about the system when you're an old man living cozily off of licensing fees /hj
7. Who is your favourite musical theatre actor?
This is impossible to answer!! At one point it was Máté Kamarás, then it was Oliver Arno, then it was Aris Sas..... Máté remains the one I have the most Autogrammkarte and terrible original CDs from. (Omg btw, once I move back to Germany my friend will mail me a terrible original Lukas Perman emo pop CD that I bought through her!). Re: women, it's Wietske van Tongeren, Lisa-Anne Wood (mostly as Glinda hahah but I love her as Glinda), Marjan Shaki and Milica Jovanovic (though embarrassingly I've only seen her in POTO and Evita hahah. The ALW saw trap...).
I haven't listened to Máté stuff in a few months but I was so deep into his world at one point (kslsldl reference to defunct matesworld.com website) that I guess I have to pick him :D he slayed severely in Elisabeth and TdV and has an extremely funny public image (he overall approaches things in a really lighthearted way which is entertaining, but can be thoughtful about his characters and creative choices as well, and isn't ever malicious about things. Also, he's the most bisexual straight man of euromusicals. He decided he wanted his stage presence to be like all the famous rockstars, someone told him those people like Freddie Mercury etc were bisexual and he said "ok 📝📝📝" and just implemented that no questions asked kskdkd.)
11. What is your favourite overture?
For sure POTO!!!! It's just so majestic, especially with a full orchestra (FNOB<3). I also love the way they "staged" it for the movie, with the backstage flythrough of the opera house :D
25. What catches your attention in a musical and makes it interesting to you? Is there a subgenre of musicals you especially like?
"Drama musicals", a category invented by Michael Kunze that I don't fully believe to be scientific xD. I like historical settings and goth themes and aesthetics, and good stories w emotional beats that hit home. Orchestral rock scores also always pique my interest (my other favourite music genre is symphonic metal!).
