D-CM102/World of Ideas and Imagination
Phenomenology
My interpretion of Phenomenolgy is how our consciousness or active mind see things, peoples or objects and how we see it with or without taking actions, admiring , or indifferent with it.
As a design student, I have many goals that I seek to achieve because I want to actively upgrade myself.
For example, during school breaks, I read some design books because I am afraid I might left out some important elements in Graphic Design and this could also give me more ideas and creativity how I am going to implement my works when I learnt new stuffs. In my consciousness,I see Design/Arts/Communication field as a course I am positive with it and want to work hard and get the jobs I desired.
How I implement with it is I download one of Adobe E-books Photoshop and implement to my knowledge.
And I also learnt from Digital Skills classes and applying to class practices.
Images 3 & 4: works I have created in digital skills class.
What i learnt from this class is that Phenomenology is related to human cousciousness all the time. And as a student, we can take notes of our emotions we like or dislike about certain things or emotions we felt or act at the present times.
This can be helpful to understand our strengths and weaknesses if we had done badly on our works and how are we going improve on the situations or help ourselves by planning ahead of the time so that this is a stepping stone to aim our goals and achieved it with happiness and confidence.

We must learn to ask ourselves questions, it's an exercise that reveals to us what we don't know of ourselves and what we don't know we can do or not do. If you are asked to compromise if you are given so much money that meets your immediate needs and also surpasses them, will you compromise on your person and value? Now, what you do is mentally putting yourself in such situations to understand if you would compromise, To give a Swift answer without considering different factors is not a guarantee that you wouldn't compromise or compromise. That's why asking ourselves questions positions us mentally for what to face or what to do when faced with any situation or condition. Some years back, I ask myself will I cheat if I am very hungry and I have so many needs to be met, honestly speaking I told myself, yes but after that moment I had to work on myself to face such situations. Asking ourselves questions gives a clue to what can do or what we can't do. . . . #selfassessment #selfemployed #accountant #bookkeeping #accounting #assessment #assessments #tax #soletrader #payroll #formativeassessment #taxreturn #smallbusiness #lifecycleassessment #assessmentsolutions #assessmenttools #coachingassessment #physicalassessment #discassessment #threatassessment #cambridgeassessmentenglish #woundassessment #assessmentdone #healthassessment #cambridgeassessment #assessmentbook #assessmenttest #riskassessment #assessmenttime #questions https://www.instagram.com/p/CXdRwxMqnrD/?utm_medium=tumblr

Short Story #2: “A Poet’s Love Story”
By Ronald Angel Maginit
(Set in an afternoon at a small auditorium)
Joaquin reciting a piece he wrote.
Joaquin: “It was a bleak afternoon when I first saw your gleaming face. As the golden hour ray of sun shines upon you, it was nothing short of angelic. A feeling hit me that I just couldn’t explain. It was momentous and as I get closer to you it was like being scorched by the beauty of a star. I suddenly realized that someone exists that could level me with her own eyes.”
Robin enters the door of the auditorium then she matched the eyes of the poet, Joaquin. Joaquin continues to recite his piece as he stutters seeing the beauty at the first sight of Robin. It was like the poem he wrote was intended solely for her. Robin looked towards her friend and had a little laugh as Joaquin’s eyes follow her to her seat. When he finally finished his piece, he immediately approached Robin and introduced himself. Robin in turn introduced herself too.
Robin: Nice to meet you! The piece you wrote was impressive and heartfelt.
Joaquin replied as he stares into Robin’s eyes.
Joaquin: Well, that’s what poetry is for, to make us feel things we’ve never felt before and to make us remember the feelings we thought we already forgot.
The same day they went for a date and both of them instantly clicked. The blissful hours they spent together turned into memorable days, then turned into passionate weeks, which then blossomed into romantic years. There’s not a day that passed by without Joaquin knowing exactly just what to say which constantly gives Robin butterflies. After all, that’s the beauty of a poet.
One day, while Joaquin was on a trip, he was caught in an accident. He woke up at the hospital with Robin by her side, stroking his head while dearly holding his hand. As soon as he regains consciousness, he had no idea of what happened, and unfortunately, he has no longer have an idea who’s the woman sitting by his bedside. It turns out the event caused him amnesia. It caused Robin a great deal of pain seeing him not being able to remember all the things they’ve been through and especially the love he felt towards her just vanished due to an unfateful event.
Robin did everything to make him remember her, she showed him pictures and even videos of them together. But Joaquin still could not remember her. Months that passed by felt like an eternity for Robin as she struggles to deal with their situation. She was about to give up and starts to pack all her things when suddenly, she found a diary of Joaquin. In that diary wrote Joquin, “To the love of my life, we may not be together every second, every minute, every hour, and every day, but remember that I will always be with you. You’re the greatest poem I have ever seen, beauty, elegance, and wisdom compressed into one person. I love you, my sunshine.” The diary was dated a week before the accident. Joaquin was supposed to give it to her when he comes back. All kinds of feelings rushed towards Robin. She felt happiness with sorrow, she felt ache with love. Robin then pulled it as her last straw. She showed him the diary, it turns out that it was a diary of a compilation of poems written by Joaquin since the day they met at the auditorium. As Joaquin unknowingly skims through the diary, he read a piece, “Time may pass, time may fly, but my love for you will never die. My memory may blur and may forget to appreciate your beauty every day, know that for eternity, by your side I’ll stay.” After reading the piece which he wrote for Robin, he sobbed like a child. And a miracle as they would say, all the memories rushed in, he remembered the feeling of being in love with Robin. He hugged Robin with much grip like he has never hugged someone before. He remembered the day he first laid eyes on her at the auditorium reciting his piece.
Robin then restated what Joaquin told him before.
Robin: Just like you said my love, “that’s what poetry is for, to make us feel things we’ve never felt before and to make us remember the feelings we thought we already forgot.”

Formative assessments for the Formative years...
Here’s what I’ve learned about formative assessments this week:
They can and should be happening alongside teaching
Formative assessments can be used at any level of learning
Keys to success: discreet or relatively low pressure formative assessments yield the best results
There are some pretty cool tech tools that can help with formative assessments!
Formative assessments are only useful if you USE the data. When creating and using formative assessments, be mindful of how you will track and use the data you gather.
This week I chose three different formative assessments to use with my young learners.
Stoplight check, Exit tickets, and Plickers.
I thought about how well these assessments would work with my students and modified them to adapt to my specific needs. Two of my cohort peers took a look at my work and provided comments and feedback.
In receiving feedback I was able to see where I was making assumptions about my reader. There were details that I didn’t make explicit and clear because it didn’t even occur to me to mention. I know my class and classroom size, how my class generally behaves, my particular constraints, and how my class flows in general. In the future I need to be more detailed when designing lesson plans as well as assessments.
For example, the first assessment that I wrote about was a “stoplight check” where students hold their thumbs up, sideways, or down to indicate understanding. I went a step further and said that I would like students to use the hand signal at their tables while waiting for assistance. One of my peers suggested that I make key ring for each student so they can flip to the right card and continue to work while I move about the classroom helping anyone indicating that they need more help. This was a wonderful idea that I have seen versions of used online. However, I specifically didn’t choose this method because a) My tables are very small and crowded. Sometimes they can barely fit their curriculum books without overlap b) My students do not need another distraction at their table and unfortunately that’s what a key ring as suggested would become Feedback can be difficult to receive, but getting another perspective from a colleague allows a fresh set of eyes to see things from a different angle. We all come to education with different backgrounds and experiences. Even though I will not use that specific idea, it made me think about my methods and why I chose to do it the way that I did. It showed me there was room for improvement and that my explanations may not have given adequate detail.
Aside from the feedback this week, I learned about several tech tools for formative assessments.
The two that I explored the most were: Kahoot and Plickers If you’re interested in integrating tech into your formative assessments, Kahoot would be a great place to start. Plickers may be as well, depending on age level and if you’re able to do a little prep work printing the cards and additional work to modify it for the kindergarten level. In my experience, preschool and kindergarten students aren’t given enough credit for what they are able to understand, learn, and do. At this age, kids are passionate and fearless. In fact, there’s no limit to what they can achieve and their future is unwritten. Limiting what they are able to try does them a great disservice. My point is, preschool and kindergarten teachers should absolutely be doing formative assessments multiple times a day in a seamless way that coincides with teaching. The amount of knowledge that students this age absorb is astonishing. One of the most rewarding things about teaching young learners are the changes you can so clearly see in students’ abilities. The best thing a teacher can do is strive to ensure that everyone is reaching their full abilities within the classroom and one way of making sure that is happening is by giving formative assessments. FULL STORY=> https://ift.tt/xTfHSjU Exit questions allow us to assess the understanding of concepts or topics at the end of a session. Open-ended questions are usually used and the participant is asked to answer them before the session ends. Like several other activities that we have discussed in other posts, this works in both synchronous and asynchronous, individual or group contexts. Many of our clients come to us looking for ways to apply different strategies to increase the impact of their courses. After participating in our program and with three simple steps, they have incorporated various instructional design strategies to create new courses, or redesign existing ones, with such success that they became up to 80% of their income during the pandemic, developing learning experiences unforgettable for its participants.
