The last trait can be argued back and forth. I originally had him as a strict yandere, but the rules Baji has are less for you to follow, and more for everyone else.

I see Baji as a lenient Yandere who prioritizes your happiness and safety, instead of making you HIS possession.

Baji likes giving you freedom, because again, he wants to love you for who you are, not who he makes you be. So rather than limiting your ability to do things, he limits the possibly of bad things ever happening to you.

Still, Baji is very intense and if he thinks enough is enough, there’s no refuting it. At the end of the day, he is still the one with all the power over you.

Accents and cussin’

So, lots of posts have been going around, talking about whether Katniss and Peeta swear, and I wanted to share my headcanons on that.

Katniss definitely does, and she calls it cussin’. Her accent is also probably the strongest out of the group, except Haymitch’s(older people always seem to have a stronger accent. Plus, y’know, alcohol)

Peeta does, and is very creative about it, but I think he doesn’t ever swear AT Katniss. Like he might say “what the fuck just happened” but he wouldn’t say “goddamn it, Katniss”. As far as his accent goes and using “improper grammar” (ain’t, don’t instead of doesn’t, neither instead of either, dropping g’s and t’s at the end of words) he probably doesn’t at first. He’s of a higher class, and if Mrs. Mellark doesn’t like people from the Seam she sure as hell ain’t gonna like her sons talking like them. So he’s trained himself out of it. I think after MJ he either can’t hide it as well or doesn’t care to anymore. Probably both.

When he can’t stand her anymore, Boyd joins him in the bar and she pouts and tries to touch him until Raylan shoves her away. Boyd meets her eyes for half a second and she recoils from his look more than she does from Raylan’s rejection.

“Stay gone,” Boyd says and sits down beside him.

She flees the bar as Raylan turns to him. Elbows on the bartop, Raylan leans into Boyd, brushing his forehead and nose across his cheekbone, to the sweet spot beneath his ear. He stills there and breathes while Boyd eyes everyone else until they look away.

“I ain’t sorry,” Raylan tells him.

“I don’t care,” Boyd replies.

Raylan laughs, but it’s hard and broken. Boyd kisses his cheek. “You done now?”

“Fuck you.”

Boyd smiles and they go home and do it for hours.

I think what I love most about this bit of this fic is that it's an illustration that like, everything that criminal!Boyd and Raylan do is a performance. Like, in canon, so much of what Boyd has to do to be a successful crime boss etc etc is put on a show. So in this fic, when Raylan is mad at Boyd--when their entire life and relationship is a performance for all of Harlan County--he fuckin tells everyone by flagrantly carrying on with some girl he doesn't care about. It's a performance of public infidelity and private frustration but also a way to show people he's still...a man, too I guess? Like, see everyone? I have no trouble getting a woman, I'll get one when I'm pissed off at my boyfriend who I CHOOSE to be with, and we can still fuck you up etc etc

A lot of my headcanons/interpretations of Boyd/Raylan just generally have to do with carving out specifically how bisexual Raylan Givens is, like how he operates and also performs his bisexuality. Like, because of his clear attraction to and gift for seducing beautiful women, I find it hard to make a case that he's specifically gay in fic unless it's a comp het style situation (which is a thing I did not know existed when I wrote this fic).

Boyd, for the most part (since so much of what he does is a performance canonically and I think that could be argued extends to his relationships) I have no problem writing as gay. Often I like to think of him as kind of demisexual, as we only see him really fall in canon for someone he's known all his life, who's been close to him. So in fic, when you add in a lifelong love of his coal-mining buddy, like, it's not hard to make that leap.

Also also, I think when I was writing this I wanted to use this scene to make clear that like, Boyd knows Raylan is staying in Harlan, doing all these terrible things, because he loves Boyd so there isn't very much Raylan could do or anything he could ask for that Boyd wouldn't forgive or give to him. Boyd has the life he wants at Raylan's sufferance. He's got to be flexible or he might lose him.

This answer feels all over the place. Anyway, these boys are working through some stuff and I love them because they are tiny babies who barely know what they are up to. I'm not sure I thought about them that way when I wrote this, but I am older now and so that's how I feel about it these days. They're trying so hard and they're having a rough time, but they're gonna make it because of the power of true love!

Star Wars fans gotta engage with the source material without the fandom goggles more often, cause I often feel like people ain’t even discussing the same characters anymore.

Like, waaaayy too many of y’all just be taking something you read in a fanfic or headcanon post, take it as fact and spread it like wildfire across the fanbase.

For example: the amount of people that don’t know Jango shot at the Jedi first on Galidraan is quite frankly astounding to me…

Such a basic misunderstanding that could easily be corrected by actually reading the fucking comic or just reading *about* the comic and seeing how events unfolded.

And I’m not saying people can’t go crazy with fanfic or share headcanons…But I think that (for the characters at least) you need to have a solid foundation in what the source material actually says to avoid parroting straight up misinformation or getting into fights about headcanon.

Side note: I can’t even be annoyed at Mando fans for having a lot of disconnect between canon and fanon because so much of their lore comes from a writer who seemed to actively dislike every part of Star Wars that wasn’t Mandalorians.

I just got from the most fast emotional swing and that’s just so funny and stupid lol. Not gonna tag it because this is just embarrassing, but still it’s just so funny I cannot not to share this.

Everything started from the moment I noticed that Marina got separate page on wiki for the dialogues and while scrolling page I noticed that dialogue from the prhvlbop.

And that’s just crashed everything. Marina refers in plural when talks about parents, not parent, working in church and them being big Alll-mer worshippers. I already had write Domek’s wife as someone who sis not have any relationships with church and was pretty uninterested in religion itself, and it worked very well for the tragedy of that fucked up fanatic falling for someone like she, but nope, I can go fuck myself with that. It’s pretty looks like another one story about forced marriage and shit, which is boring as fuck and puts characters in the black and white roles, which I hate with the passion, making everyone gray or at least not a pitch black or white is my everything.

It felt like that is, my days in fandom counted, nothing makes sense anymore(yeah I momentarily disappointed in headcanons for other characters too lol), no mere joy in life and Gos finally punishes me for being too much of floppa gigachad with the most based opinion ever….ok sorry, anyways I get unironically really sad. But guess fucking what. Just moments after I made up new portion of headcanons that connected my ideas and that dialogue and even made my story better because I had plot hole in just right place lol.

Moral of the story is too never give up or something. And I’m just really emotional on that matters, that’s pretty annoying actually, but well there’s a reason I really love all that theatrical dramatics ain’t it….
