It was a rather slow day at your small restaurant, you were thinking about closing early since there was no one in and maybe you could get some rest. You have been wanting to rest up and head back home and finally get some needed alone time with your boyfriend. As you were cleaning around the place and making sure the tables were clean for tomorrow and once you were done with everything you closed up for the day and started to head out. Making sure you got home as fast as possible. Today was special day! Your boyfriend Gyomei has the day off, and you couldn’t wait to spend the rest of the day with him. Considering he hardly got any days off with being a Hashira and always having to leave for long missions.

As you made your way back home, you opened the door and see him on the floor praying quietly, and as you didn’t want to interpret him you stayed quite until he was done. And after a few minutes he spoke up softly. “Hello Sweetheart, were you standing there for awhile?” He said. 

Making you smile and you walked to him and stood in front of him as he was sitting on the floor. “No not at all sweetheart.” You say with a smile, placing your hand on his cheek, rubbing a thumb across his cheek. “Hey since we are both here why don’t I make us food?” 

Making him smile, as he nodded. You lean in and place a kiss on his forehead. “Very well then. I’ll go make us food and you and continue with your praying.” You say, making him nod and smile. “Thank you my dear, I would love that very much so.” He said, as you smile and nod you walk off to the kitchen leaving him alone, so he can get back to what he was doing. And as you were in the kitchen you were thinking about what to make him. “Ah! I can make him Takikomi-Gohan, afterall it’s his favorite!” You thought to yourself. 

So you got cooking, you smile to yourself. You couldn’t believe you were going to spend time with him. After time has passed by he walked into the kitchen and smelled the air. “Are you making my favorite?” 

You turn around and see him standing there. “Yes, it’s almost done.” 

Gyomei smiled and walked behind you and wrapped his big arms around your waist, hugging you. For a guy who was huge he was so gentle towards you, and as he hugged you he buried his face to your neck. “I’ve missed you so much my love. It’s been so long since I felt your touch and heard your sweet voice.” He said, placing a few kisses along your shoulder and neck. Making you giggle softly, as you let him do as he pleases you were finishing the food.

“I missed you too my dear.” You say, turning around and you wrap your arms around his neck and bring him closer against your body, placing your lips against his. Kissing him, and he gladly returned the kiss with so much love and passion. Pulling away from his lips, you smile. “Food is ready my dear, how about you go sit down and I’ll serve us.” 

He smiled and nodded. Placing his hands gently on your face, and he gently ran his fingers around your face. He wishes he could see your beautiful face. “Alright my love, do you need help with anything.” 

“Nope, please take a seat my dear. I want to treat you. You say making him chuckle and nod. As he placed a small kiss on your forehead and he walked off and headed to the table. Taking a seat, and with that you brought two bowls filled with the fresh food. Placing it down in front of him and you place the other bowl down for you. And you take a seat next to him. “Well dig in my dear, I hope you enjoy it.” 

Both of you sat there eating in silence and once he was done. He spoke up “Thank you my love, it was amazing. I absolutely love your cooking.” 

His comment made you blush, as you finished your food you spoke up. “I’m glad you like it.” Making him smile as your comment, before you could say anything else he picked you up with a quick motion making you gasp out in surprise. “I’m sorry my love, It’s just that I missed you so much and I just want to be close with you.” He said, getting up and he began to make his way to the bedroom. This guy may be blind but he knew this house to heart. And as he made his way in the room, he placed you down gently on the bed. Laying next to you, and he just wrapped his big arms around you holding you close to his body.

“I miss you so much...It’s been so hard staying away from you for this long.” He began to say, as you lay next to him. You snuggle against him, missing his warmth. “Those missions were agony, being away from you so long made my heart ache.” 

His words touched your heart, as you look at him. You smile and kiss his chin. “I missed you too, it’s been so long that we’ve held each other.” You say softly. As you lay there with him you sigh softly. You really did miss him and it was a shame that he couldn’t be here all the time. “Let’s just enjoy the time we have right now.”

“Right my love.” He said softly, he laid on his back and pulled you on top on him. And he just ran his fingers along your back, tracing small shapes and giving you a goosebumps. “I Love you Y/N.” He said softly. 

“I love you too Gyomei.” You say, looking down at him you lean in and give him a kiss. He wrapped his arms around your body and returned this kiss. As you two shared a kiss you couldn’t help but feel nothing but happiness. 

You never wanted this day to end.

MY THOUGHTS ON DRAGON BALL DAIMA

(Wasn't going to post this old draft, but decided to post it anyway since @/puyohero was curious about my thoughts)

Awesome! Love that Toriyama is heavily involved! Love the art & animation and the idea is interesting too.

SIMILARITY TO DRAGON BALL GT

Yes, GT did something similar. However GT sidelined most of the cast. Even Pan & Trunks kinda got sidelined when they were part of the main cast of GT. In this, it seems the other characters will play some sort of role too. Or I assume so. And they will be traveling to another realm/world. So maybe the others will go with Goku.

DB DAIMA seems to be referencing a lot of DB properties & not only GT. As pointed out here...

CAST AS CHILDREN COULD MEAN...

I had hoped it would turn the entire cast into children and glad it happened. Now I hope we get more info about it. Because what I want is for the other cast members to get involved. Gohan & Piccolo are on a similar level to Goku & Vegeta, so then being excluded to only focus on Goku & Vegeta would be stupid. And since it is stated that this series won't be transformation heavy... what if Goku cannot transform into forms he didn't have as a child?? Or it's very taxing on the body if they can. Now everyone can get involved in the battles! Krillin has already returned to martial arts, but we can get my boy Yamcha fighting again! We might even get to see kid Ox King fight alongside kid Roshi. That would be neat!

Now what would be funny is to see a kid version of Buu. Would it be a short chubby Buu or Kid Buu/Pure Buu? Or maybe the magic won't affect him much since he can change his appearance at will. 🤔

Also, I bet there is a joke about Krillin not getting much smaller when turned into a kid again like how there was a joke in OG Dragon Ball that Krillin didn't get much taller & Krillin is upset about the statement.

Also, the chibi reminds me of the Dragon Ball SD manga.

TITLE POSSIBLY ELUDING TO...

Another interesting thing was the placeholder name "Magic" and the current name "DAIMA." Seems like Toriyama is possibly hinting at the Makaioshin. Evil beings with magical power, the Demon Realm being a place where magic rules over science, and the fact that THIS guy looks like a Kaioshin.

So the little guy could be a God of the Demon Realm. Or maybe a God of Destruction of the Demon Realm. Who knows? We'll have to wait and see.

JOURNEY TO THE WEST REFERENCES

I see some Journey To The West/Saiyuki influence in here too which is good cause this is Dragon Ball after all. Goku with a Sun Wukong role, East Kaioshin (Shin) with the monk role. And maybe other characters who are inspired by Saiyuki will play roles similar to their inspirations.

Vegeta having a Sun Wukong role while Bulma has the Tripitaka role

Piccolo having a Tripitaka/Wukong role while Gohan also has the Tripitaka/Wukong role

Krillin with a Tripitaka role (maybe some Wukong role too since he also takes some Wukong inspiration) & maybe 18 takes on the role of Tripitaka in certain aspects?

Yamcha with a role referencing Sha Wujing role

Tenshinhan with a role referencing Erlang Shen

And if the Demon Realm is involved then there is more Saiyuki references. Journey to a dangerous land and fighting demons. This could be pretty cool to see.

GOKU'S DESIGN

And another thing... Goku's gi in Daima. It's becoming closer and closer to his End of Z gi.

The untucked style of Goku's gi in Daima is similar to EoZ, but the colors are still like his iconic orange and blue gi.

MY THEORY FOR THE STORY

In the Demon Realm, the Makaioshin & some Demon God examine Goku & his friends. They speak about Babidi and how he recruited the King of the Demon Realm, Dabura, and still failed. As well as Bibidi summoning & Babidi reawakening the evil beings Majin Buu, then Buu becoming an ally of Goku. Where a sorcerer failed, a Demon God plans to succeed. The Demon God & Makaioshin notice that Goku & company are always victorious due to their strength, transformations, and friendship that encourages each other. So somehow, they are all turned into children to make them doubt their chances of victory. And their power is nerfed too. The Saiyans might have to struggle just to turn SSJ again. I believe it will be through a spell just to be different from GT and not use a wish granting Dragon. The part that shows that a wish was made to Shenron wish was likely after they were turned into kids and they needed help in some way, or they tried to reverse the spell and it was beyond the power of Shenron.

So they venture into this new realm to fix things. Perhaps splitting into groups. Goku & Kaioshin, Vegeta & Bulma, Gohan & Piccolo, Krillin & 18, ect. Some teaming up with other groups too. Get to see stuff like Goku & Tien team up. They learn about the depths of magic & Bulma is surprised because her technology she relies so much upon doesn't matter much in the Demon Realm where magic is their technology.

At some point, they find a way to return to their actual ages and adult bodies. In the end, they confront the Demon God & Makaioshin. Of course Goku would face the main bad guy (along with Vegeta & maybe with Gohan & Piccolo). Godly power vs godly magic. Or something like that.

Now let's wait & see how wrong I am 😂

Becoming Friends

Goku

After the Tenkaichi Budokai, you did end up giving Goku a call. It was about two weeks after the tournament when you met him out in the mountains. You silently prayed that he didn’t lure you out there just to murder you. Something about him gave you the feeling that not only was he not that smart, but he wouldn’t have any malicious intention. Because of that, you were at his place right on time.

You were one of the few Earthlings who could fly on their own. It was a technique you had learned from your master who had learned it somewhere else. Thanks to this ability, you traveled to the mountains with ease.

As soon as you knocked on the door of the small house, Goku opened it.

“Hey, (Y/n)! Wow you sure know how to get places on time.”

“Thanks. Training gets me so pumped.”

“I’m just finishing up breakfast. I’ll be quick though.”

When Goku said breakfast you expected like some eggs or something. His entire dining table was covered in empty bowls stacked up. Only a few still had food in them. He ate a ton! This was just breakfast!

“Sorry about the mess, I eat a lot.” Goku grinned sheepishly.

“It’s alright. Whatever you gotta do, man.” You shrugged it off.

Goku finished eating in a matter of minutes. He offered you some food, but you didn’t wanna barf while you trained.

There was a clearing not too far from Goku’s house. That was where you trained until lunch. Goku taught you how to focus your energy to shoot beams and told you about some weighted training he did. You would be trying that at home under your master’s supervision.

For lunch, you helped Goku prepare a meal of gargantuan proportions. It all smelled so good, so you weren’t complaining. All that training had worked up quite the appetite for you.

“Where’d you learn to cook like this? It looks and smells amazing.” You asked while chopping vegetables.

“When my ex-wife and I got divorced, I had to learn how to cook for myself so that I wouldn’t starve. Some friends gave me some cookbooks to study and I’ve been doing fine since.” Goku explained with a smile.

“Oh, I’m sorry to have brought up your divorce.” You frowned, feeling like an inconsiderate idiot.

“It’s okay. We weren’t really that happy together anyways. I was always away training, which was hard on her. We butted heads when it came to our sons’ schooling and whatnot.” Goku explained somewhat sadly. He perked back up again. “It was probably for the best. Now our sons don’t see us fighting all the time.”

“How old are your sons?” You questioned, trying to shift the topic.

“21 and 11. Gohan is the older one, and Goten is younger. My ex still has custody over Goten, so I only get to see him on the weekends.”

“How is Goten about all of this? Eleven is sort of a delicate age.”

“He seems to be alright. He’s just glad he gets to see me. Gohan is more affected I think. He doesn’t talk about it, but I can tell he’s sad that his mom and I weren’t happy together.”

“Geez, I need to stop asking questions. I’m over here bringing up deep stuff and we just met.” You chided yourself out loud.

“You’re fine. I love my sons, they’re a huge part of my life. They were bound to come up sooner or later.”

Vegeta

For some odd reason, everytime you left Capsule Corp, you ran into Vegeta. You couldn’t avoid him. No matter what you did, you ended up meeting him at the door. It would be more annoying if Trunks’s attitude wasn’t starting to turn around.

He had begrudgingly begun to cooperate during class. You didn’t know how long this streak would last, so you took advantage of it. You gave him positive reinforcement at every opportunity to encourage his new behavior. When you gave him a test, he passed with flying colors. It was a miracle!

You knew you kind of owed Vegeta some kind of thanks for talking to his son, but you were still upset about how rude he was to you. Your pride made it hard to do these things in the first place.

Swallowing your instinct to just glare at Vegeta as you walked by him, you prepared to say what you had mentally rehearsed for the entire walk to the door.

“Hey, Vegeta. I just wanted to say thanks for talking to Trunks. His grades have gotten so much better and he’s realizing how intelligent he really is. I think this has been a big confidence booster for him, and you’re one to thank for it.”

“Whatever. His mother told me to yell at him about his grades anyways.” And Vegeta ruined the moment.

“Your son’s education is important to me. Not just because I get paid for it, but because I genuinely enjoy what I do.” You stated with confidence. You were about to walk out the door when Vegeta grabbed you by the arm.

“You should tell me more about his progress next week. I didn’t raise my son to be a simpleton.”

With that, he released you. The cab ride home was full of thoughts for you. You and Vegeta were finally on good terms.

Son Gohan

Sitting next to Gohan was actually better than you thought it’d be. He was so funny and socially clueless. You could mess with him a bit.

At first he had things to say about you sleeping in class, but you assured him that it was fine. He saw your grades to prove it and has left it alone since. It was cute though because he mentioned it out of concern.

Gohan was so sweet compared to most other teenage boys. He didn’t bask in the attention from the other girls. He just nervously responded to them and exited the conversation as politely as possible. Gohan was a people pleaser, these things made him awkward. The fact that he was home schooled for most of his life only made it worse. He did not know how high school worked.

That was okay though. He had you to show him the ropes and guide him. You warned him about which people to avoid and not engage with. Teenagers could be nasty. In more than one way.

You took on the role of Gohan’s protector. People already didn’t like you, so you had nothing to lose. You tended to keep to yourself and stay out of drama. People held that and the fact that you were blunt, especially to those who interrupted your naps, against you.

Gohan just barely picked up on the fact that people didn’t like you. Some red headed girl that you couldn’t remember the name of had blackmailed him into going out with her. When he told you about it, he mentioned that she was confused as to why he chose to be friends with such a lazy bitch. You didn’t explain it much, but he got the idea.

While you weren’t one to stay awake in class, you were a studyer. Gohan came to your house after school almost every day to study for a bit before he had to go home. You offered to alternate which house you studied at, but he refused saying his mom would flip out if he brought a girl home.

“She would ask you if you’re pregnant. No joke.” Gohan told you with a horrified expression.

“You? Get a girl pregnant? That’s like impossible. You’re the biggest virgin I know.” You giggled.

“Hey! I could.” Gohan had learned enough from you to know that you were teasing him.

“Do you even know how sex works?” You raised your eyebrows, still laughing.

“Of course I do! The guy inserts his penis in the girl’s vagina and then they go at it until he ejaculates.” Gohan explained so matter of factly that you were on the floor laughing. “What’s so funny?”

“You know so little. I have much to teach you, my child.” You patted his head.

“I don’t think I wanna know anything you have to teach me about sex.”

“It’ll be fun.”

Future Trunks

After you met Bulma, she convinced you to stay a while. The worn down Capsule Corp building provided a room for you where the androids would not hear you scream. You figured it wouldn’t hurt to stick around and contribute to Bulma’s efforts.

This included scavenging for materials with Trunks. You would go out and dig through rubble until you could find things that were still usable. It was hard work, but you enjoyed chatting with Trunks for hours every day.

At first he was shy and awkward. Bulma told you he hadn’t really met girls his age. You had to initiate your first conversations and keep them going which was hard. You weren’t used to interacting with people, so you were just as awkward. He did warm up to you though.

“Look at this, Trunks. Isn’t it cool?” You held up an unknown object. There were a lot of things that were probably everyday items back before the androids that you couldn’t name.

“Oh wow. That’s a music player!” He reached out for the small rectangular electronic device. He inspected the small screen and large circle with buttons around it, indicating their uses. “I might have a charger for this lying around the lab.”

“Let’s see if we can get it to work!”

In the evening, you headed back to Capsule Corp under the cover of the shadows of dilapidated buildings. The two of you put the salvaged parts in the lab before digging through some junk in Trunks’s corner.

Like his mom, he was gifted with technology and liked to tinker with appliances. When he scavenged he took things for himself that he found interesting. Only he could navigate his collection, carefully sifting through boxes.

“Found it!” Trunks turned around, charger in hand.

He plugged it into the wall before connecting it to the music player. An icon appeared on the tiny screen. Success.

“I wonder what songs are on it”

“Probably old stuff that we wouldn’t recognize. My mom might though.”

“Damn, calling your mom old like that.” You teased. He immediately turned red and looked away.

“I didn’t mean it like that..”

“I’m just giving you a hard time, Trunks.”

He went back to figuring out the device with his ears still tinted red. He gasped when he pressed a button and sound came out.

You swayed to the music, you’d never heard anything so beautiful for such a long time.

“I think you’re supposed to dance a certain way. My mom used to do it with me when I was younger.” Trunks stuttered through that a bit.

“By all means, teach me.”

“My hands go here.” He placed his hands on the sides of your waist. “And your arms go around my neck.”

You tentatively brought your hands up to meet at the back of his neck. “Like this?”

“Yeah.” Trunks began to sway, leading you through the song.

I hear the crystal raindrops fall, on the window down the hall, and it becomes the morning dew~

And darling when the morning comes, and I see the morning sun, I wanna be the one with you~

Broly

A few days in, things were going well on Vampa. Broly was gentle and considerate seeing as you were a human and happened to be much more fragile than him. He took you out to explore the planet, carrying you as he flew through the air.

His grip was light on your body, fingers nearly hovering around your shoulders and under your thighs.

“My father used to train me here. He had to cut off my tail because I couldn’t control myself as a great ape.” His deep voice was so soft.

“And to my knowledge, that is a transformation brought about by seeing the full moon? Vegeta tells me that he could control it, but Goku and Gohan never learned how to.”

Broly only hummed in response as he kept flying. The wind whipped at your hair and his, the strands loosely tangling. You could tell that Broly was focusing from the way his brows slightly furrowed, his nearly unblinking stare, and his slightly scrunched up nose. It was cute.

“This is where Ba lives.”

“Goku told me about him. Your father wounded him because he was your friend? An awful thing to do to an animal.” You glanced at his face to study his reaction.

Broly’s lips pursed into a frown and his eyes clouded with what you guessed was guilt and sadness.

“Yes. He didn’t like me playing with Ba.”

“It wasn’t your fault, Broly. You didn’t know better, and your father is the one who hurt him.” You placed a hand on his muscular shoulder, looking at him in his big dark eyes. “Beating yourself up about it won’t change what happened. You can move forward though.”

“How do I move forward from losing the first friend I ever had?” Broly averted his eyes.

“Accept what has happened. Your father hurt Ba.”

“Yes.”

“And it was not your fault.”

“Okay…”

“Now, we can try to befriend Ba again or leave him in peace if you think that’s best.”

“I…think I can try again.” The saiyan’s voice wavered for a moment.

“Take as much time as you need. I’ll be right here for you.”

*Scene: Bulma's house. Bulma is working on a project. Goku teleports in*

Goku: Hey Bulma. We're having a barbecue potluck at my place. Bulma: Cool. What should we bring? Goku: Anything's fine. Just not macaroni salad. That's already covered. Bulma: Potato salad it is then. Goku: Cool! See ya! *Goku teleports away*

*Scene change: Several days later. Goku's house. All his friends are there.*

Krillin: By the way, you never mentioned what the occasion was for. Goku: Glad you asked. We're having a potluck cause it's Freeza Day. All: WHAT?!?!

*Freeza's spaceship descends from space and lands next to the party. A door opens and Freeza walks out*

Freeza: Ohohoho. Goku! I hope you're prepared! Today I will kill you and everyone you love! Also I brought 15 tubs of space macaroni salad. I hope that's enough for everyone. Goku: Not on your life! I'll protect everyone! And then I'm going to have some barbecue ribs with that space macaroni salad.

*Battle. Cut to the heroes sitting, watching the fight, and eating* Gohan: Shouldn't we help stop Freeza? Vegeta: Sure. Once I'm done with my space macaroni salad.

*Cut to Freeza's minions sitting, watching the fight, and eating* Anaba: Shouldn't we help Lord Freeza? Rasbarrel: Sure. Once I'm done with my potato salad.

*End of Battle. Goku stands victoriously* Freeza: Damn you Goku! This isn't over! Bulma: *shouting from a distance* Hey you two! Chi-Chi finished making the first round of ribs! Goku: C'mon Freeza. You're gonna love my wife's cooking.

*Goku and friends party with Freeza and his forces*

*Time passes. Freeza prepares to leave*

Freeza: Next time you won't be so lucky! I'll get stronger and I will kill you. Goku: Go ahead. I'll continue to get stronger as well. Freeza: By the way, what's the theme for next year's potluck? Goku: I was thinking Mexican themed. Freeza: Is that like Space Mexico?

*Scene transition: Inside Freeza's ship*

Freeza: Rasbarrel! Set a course for Freeza planet-492. I wish to begin training immediately. Rasbarrel: Very well, Lord Freeza. I must say, I'm glad you enjoyed spending time with your friends. *Freeza snarls*

*Scene cut: Outer space. Rasbarrel's corpse floats by* *Scene cut: Back on Freeza's ship* Freeza: Anaba! You are promoted to ship's captain. Set the course. Anaba: Yes, Lord Freeza. Freeza: Also, set a reminder to order 20 tubs of space refried beans from Space Taco Bell. Next year's potluck is Mexican themed. Anaba: Is that like Space Mexico?

i feel inclined to add on to that ask abt movies (cuz i love watching movies).

Trunks to me speaks to me as a person who at one point expected the stuff he watches to change him a little. To help him think in a different perspective and challenge his preconceptions or. SOMETHING. hes the kind of guy to try to watch movies like 2001 space odyssey but by the end of it, just looks up the ending explained. he has to try to get anything out of it. I don't think he liked trainspotting. I don't think he knew what to make of The Shining. Trunks would almost certainly try to not get bored at the beginning of Pulp Fiction (the bulk of that movie is talking). But he'll still go see movies in theaters or watch whatever he's got laying around in the house though.

He thinks he's watching movies to gain something but tbh ? Trunks has been watching movies all his life, and it might just feel rly weird to suddenly. not to. If that makes grammatical sense. I think it just gets too quiet in his house. His mom's always working on something in her lab, vegeta's always in his training room, etc etc. so he puts em on to chill. Even if he doesn't really get them sometimes. Bulma seems like the type to do the same thing while she works, maybe he gets it from her.

That's probably why watching movies with goten is so interesting though. He can really get to the core of what it's trying to say, engage with the story and themes on a meaningful level and come up with his OWN well constructed analysis with an infectious enthusiasm reminiscent of the way Gohan talks about entomology.

And Goten, country bumpkin that he is, probably hasn't even seen more than MAX 30 movies in his life (ever) besides whatever soaps his mom leaves on. he's glad trunks invites him over to watch this stuff. At the end of analyzing whatever film they saw I think he'd be like Waow. That was so cool Trunks thank you for showing me this :-) can I borrow this dvd and never give it back and Trunks will be like yeah man thats cool I'm glad you liked it so much. I have a bunch more laying around it's whatever. (He found a lot of these movies in this "guest" room he's never really been inside of. It still has a lot of stuff from before he was born.)

I think that's so interesting.. that Trunks is familiar with the elements present in film but because it's familiar, it's harder to parse how or why these elements are meshed together to make the whole. he's just "watching" them without really thinking about anything and as such, doesn't gain anything.

But because Goten isn't accustomed to watching movies all the time, he can look with unclouded eyes. Not just watching, but observing and taking all of it in.

Its the difference between hearing and listening if that makes sense.

(One last tidbit which isn't super important. I mentioned earlier a guest room. It was yamcha's. When he moved out, he didn't really take a lot of things with him, choosing to leave some of his clothes and most of his movies behind. Bulma probably told him that he could just leave his stuff there in case he ever wanted to visit. The only movie he bothered to take with him was Caddyshack. For some reason. Why)

Trunks is familiar with the elements present in film but because it's familiar, it's harder to parse how or why these elements are meshed together to make the whole. he's just "watching" them without really thinking about anything and as such, doesn't gain anything. But because Goten isn't accustomed to watching movies all the time, he can look with unclouded eyes.

I mean really it all comes down to Trunks being a Modern CityBoy; he's used to background noise, he's used to mindless entertainment. Goten doesn't have things in his life that are meant to be taken for granted, though, so that just makes him overall more attentive and appreciative.

That's the greater discussion here ... A veiled call for action for us all to try to look with fresh eyes upon our own lives ....

Really, If Trunks isn't taking to the creative storytelling aspect of it, he should at least take a shining to the technological artistry. Maybe he doesn't care why or when, but he does know HOW they do what they do. That'd be swagg. But then he'd have to do research on something that isn't Minecraft related. Sighhhh

Not until I went down the blog and saw the writing style matched up. Remember how I just burst into your inbox and made some noise? And then you realized it was me? That shit was hilarious. We were so happy to see each other. Everything's been smooth sailing since then and we've created so many cursed memes, threads, jokes and storylines. Dude, we fuckin' made Rengakura. That little psychopath LOL. Well, moreso I made him but your response to that thread in particular made it so that he didn't come out any worse than he could've. Damn you for having Trunks make the right decision! (Again, I say this with love). At least in one verse, Trunks finally gets a happy-ish ending though. He lives with his mostly mellowed-out/former-tyrant for a wife and a pseudo-sane Saiyan-hybrid child on a spaceship, having space adventures. 🥺 Papa Trunks isn't something I knew I needed until I got it so thank you. I also did not know Maiz was actually capable of chilling the eff out-- THAT was a surprise to me. The fact that she's actually a decent mother is hilarious, considering all the fucked up stuff she's done before without blinking an eye. I also love how through our threads, you can see how she naturally came to care for him, even if she's sadistic and still messes with him from time to time. One of my favorites scenes with them unironically was when she offered to take Trunks to a tropical planet for his birthday. She was actually affectionate towards him the proper way more or less, but he didn't realize it because he was so used to her being busy/selfish/frosty/teasing. Bro thought he was dying. That was tragically sad yet funny all at once. I'd say more but this is already a lot and you already know how I feel about your Yusuke and our favorite assassin, Sanosuke.

In ''Unfinished Letters'' Hana says she's glad Piccolo can't read minds but the thing is, he can. I don't know if you're setting something up, like Piccolo overhearing her horny thoughts, or if you forgot. I'm not blaming you. Dragon Ball and many other stories have a bad habit of forgetting what characters can do for the plot (Cut Thanos' hand Wong!) I just want to say thank you for keeping Piccolo's biology, powers and personality intact. It always take me out of the story when characters act OOC. When I look for a fanfics with specific characters I want to see how THEY would act. No shame to people who do write characters OOC. It's just something I personally don't like. I'm very picky about how Piccolo gets written to fics, like to the point where I actually read very few fics that feature Piccolo in a relationship (with an oc or canon character). As for the mind-reading, it was always my understanding (or maybe just my headcanon?) that Piccolo can read the minds of/speak telepathically with those he's close to. Are there any particular episodes you find hard to watch? I like all of Dragon Ball even some of the filler, but I find the fight with Vegeta and Nappa to be so tough to watch. Everyone dies and/or suffers and poor Gohan gets cold feet (understandably) and is berated for it. I get that he wasn't a normal 5 year old kid and this fight was a life or death situation since the beginning, but still, he had to watch everyone around him die (and blames himself for it), gets beat up to a pulp afterwards and deals with survivors guilt for so long. I did like that it was a big set up for the Frieza saga and honestly the whole Goku was an alien all along thing made a lot of sense and it didn't feel forced. Actually, the Saiyan's introduction was one of the best plots Toriyama came up with.

I liked that in Dragon Ball there was much less at stake during the fights. It was much more adventure focused and I enjoy seeing Goku grow up and meet so many people along the way. It was so good to see that everyone eventually ended up liking and/or respecting him.

Ps. I love your art and your blog. I'm also on the Goku Defense Squad. I don't care what anyone says: He is an iconic wholesome character that has brought happiness and good times to so many people. He is greatly misunderstood. It doesn't help that Toriyama said one thing, but stated otherwise on the manga through various situations e.g: Goku apparently thinking of his sons as mere companions and at the same time showing several instances where he goes above and beyond to protect Gohan and to help him reach his full potential as a fighter, to name one thing.

Alright, allow me to be a Raditz simp for a minute here: It's baffling to me the lack of fans/content/fan-made content/ANYTHING there is for Raditz. I mean, he's a saiyan, Goku's brother , and for the small amount of time we did see him, he was pretty badass. You gotta admit it. He was strong enough as a child to be sent off planet with the heir to Planet Vegeta's throne. The man crippled Goku with a punch before he ran off with Gohan, and the only way Goku could see to stop him was to sacrifice himself inorder to give Piccolo a shot to kill him.

I know Vegeta came along not to long after that so he was overshadowed a bit by the rest of the Saiyan Arc, but still. How do more people not talk about him??

Like, take Bardock for example. Also a family member of Goku, also a dead saiyan. He has tons of fans. Increasing amounts of attention in the form of video game DLC, figures, ect.

Don't get me wrong- I love Bardock (I'm weak for Goku's gene pool don't @ me. His dad is hot, his brother is hot, he's hot. Anyway....) and I'm really glad that he's getting attention I think he deserves. He's a badass dude and I love seeing the ways he and Goku are similar and differ. It's very interesting to me. But I also think Raditz deserves some of that attention, too.

I would be happy with like. 1 figure a year and some stories from Vegeta about Raditz before they came to earth (like... maybe if Goku showed some interest in knowing what his brother was like or something.....). Just. Something. I'm not hard to please 🥺🥺🥺

“Misaki, let’s go. We’ll be late if we don’t leave now. Your brothers are already waiting for us.” Chi-Chi said loudly from outside. “I’m here.” The fourteen-year old girl walked out of their house on Mount Paozu. She was carrying a large bag. “Why are you taking this bag with you? We’re only staying for the weekend.” “I know, but I need them, trust me. Thanks, dad.” She smiled at Goku. “I’m so happy to see Gohan and Goten again, it’s been a while. It sucks that they live in the city now.” “I miss them too.” “It’s been over a year already, but our house is so empty without Goten. I don’t have anyone else to bother anymore.” “It’s not the same without him, but I’m glad he found a good wife. He said he has a surprise for us, but wouldn’t tell me no matter how much I begged. He wanted to see our reactions.” “My guess is that Bulla is pregnant.” “Do you think so?” Chi-Chi beamed in happiness. “That would be amazing! Another grandchild in our family, to keep Pan some company.” “Mom, Pan is seven already. I don’t think they will keep each other company, to be honest.” “Maybe it’s time for Gohan and Videl to have another child then. Goku stretched his arms up while Misaki got out of the car. “Oh how I needed to stretch my legs.” “If you’re already complaining about them at fourteen, I can’t even imagine how you will be when you get older.” A familiar voice echoed, bringing a large grin to her lips. “Goten!” She ran to him and hugged him tight. “I should smack you for being so rude to your youngest sister.” “I missed you too, Saki.” He returned the hug. “It’s been a while.” “It’s so good to know you don’t miss your parents.” Chi-Chi teased. “Only your sister.” “Of course I miss you both too. Life in West City is hectic.” “Then why don’t you move back to the countryside? It’s much more peaceful there.” “I would in a heartbeat, but Bulla prefers to live in the city. She grew up there and it’d be a tough change for her. But we’re definitely considering buying a house there, so we can go sometimes.” “Oh, I’d love that.” “Uncle Goten, daddy is… Grandpa!” Pan flew towards Goku and the impact brought them both down to the floor. “Hey.” “Panny, take it easy. I’m really happy for you.” “Thanks.” He blushed a little. “Where’s…” “Goten, there you are.” Gohan walked out of the house. “Mom, dad, you made it.” “Hi, Gohan.” “How come everybody just ignore me?” The youngest Son member protested. “Am I invisible or something?” “Yes, you are.” Goten returned the slap she had given him minutes ago. “Hey!” “Goten, you shouldn’t hit your sister.” “She asked for it, mom.” “The hell I did.” “Darling, you shouldn’t swear.” Chi-Chi quickly turned to Goku, who couldn’t stop laughing. “And you should help me teach them this is wrong.” “I’m sorry, Chi-Chi. I missed their little bickering as well. Goten is funny as f…” His eyes went wide. “I mean, Goten is so funny.” “Thanks, dad.” He bragged with a huge grin. “We can turn all the lights out for the night. Goten’s smile is gonna light up the whole house.” “Damn right.” “I give up.” Chi-Chi threw her hands up and sighed in frustration. “Sis, you can never be invisible to me.” Gohan said after things seemingly calmed down. “Thank you, Han. At least for someone I’m not.” “Thank Kami, for that, huh?” “We’ve seen that bright white smile of yours for enough time, don’t you think?” “Actually, no, I don’t.” “Of course you wouldn’t.” Misaki rolled her eyes. “Gohan, where am I staying?” “Come on, I’ll show you.” **** After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room to hang out together and then maybe have a game night. “So…” Goten spoke after taking a few deep breaths to ease his nervousness. “I have something to say.” “Finally, I’m dying to know what it is.” “That’s true.” Misaki confirmed. “That’s all mom could talk about.” “I’m sorry about that, mom. I hope it’s worth the wait.” He motioned for Bulla to get closer to him and wrapped an arm around her body. “Okay, so we want to say that we’re expecting our first child.” “Oh my God!” “Is that serious?” Gohan stood up and went to congratulate his brother and his sister-in-law. “I’m so happy for the two of you! This is great news.” “Congratulations!” Videl joined him. “You’re gonna be great parents, I just feel that.” “Thanks, Videl.” Bulla replied with a gentle smile. “I hope so.” “My baby boy is going to be a father.” Chi-Chi cried as she ran to hug her son. “This is such a happy day!” “How couldn’t I be? It’s my second grandchild!” “So I’m gonna be an aunt again.” Misaki approached the couple and hugged them. “Congratulations.” “Thanks, Saki.” Goten could barely hold his excitement. “We’re really happy.” “I can see that. I’m happy for you too.” “Thank you, Misaki.” “So do you know if it’s a boy or a girl yet?” Chi-Chi sat down again and placed her hands over her thighs. “Not yet, it’s still too early. Bulla doesn’t really want to know before she’s due.” “That’s true, though I’m quite sure I won’t be able to wait until then. And there’s also the fact we need to get everything ready before.” “But you can always pick neutral colors, like yellow or green.” “Or you can choose the color you want. Who cares about this anyway? It’s just a color.” “That’s my sister.” “Oh so now you’re proud of me?” “Not quite.” Goten laughed. “I’m just kidding, Saki. Of course I’m proud of you.” “Right. Just for the record, I’m proud of you too.” “I know.” “Oh no, the big ego is back again.” Everyone started laughing and Chi-Chi couldn’t help but feel blessed for having all her family gathered together again. **** “Chi-Chi?” Goku mumbled as he opened his eyes after trying to wrap his arm around his wife and noticing the bed was empty on her side. He rolled over to check what time it was. “Why is she up so early on a Sunday?” He walked down the hall very carefully and slowly, so he wouldn’t wake everyone else up, and entered the kitchen. The smell of just made coffee immediately filled his nostrils, but Chi-Chi also wasn’t there. Goku wondered where she could have gone, until he noticed the door was slightly open.

“Chi-Chi, where are you?” He inhaled the smell of the fresh breeze of the morning and closed his eyes for a moment, as the wind gently messed his hair up. He was also trying to locate her ki, which didn’t take him long, and the following second he teleported to where she was. “I found you.” “Of course you did.” She couldn’t help but smile. “You always do.” “What are you doing here?” Goku looked around; a good feeling increasing in his heart, he just loved being in the nature. “I just wanted to take a moment to myself.” “Is everything okay?” He sat down next to her and embraced his knees. “Everything’s fine.” Chi-Chi looked at him and touched his hand, and he looked down at them. “I’m just taking everything in. You know, the news we were told last night.” “About Goten becoming a father?” The Saiyan looked at his wife with his eyebrows raised. “But isn’t that bound to happen at some point? He’s married man now.” “I know, and I’m truly happy for them. But Goten will always be my little boy.” “Aww, Chi-Chi.” He lied down next to her and brought her closer to him, so she had her head resting on his arm and placed her hand on his bare chest. “We still have Misaki.” “I know, and I love her with all my heart. But before we know it, she’ll be gone too. She’ll find a nice person and want to build a life with them. And then there will be just us.” “Is that a bad thing?” “No.” Chi-Chi shook her head with a smile. “I love spending some time alone with you. But I’m not gonna lie and say I won’t miss her.” “I’ll miss her too. But she’s not gone yet, that will take a few more years.” “You’re right.” She reached for his hand. “I’m so grateful we have such a beautiful family.” “So am I.” He rested his hand on her right cheek. “I’m glad we met each other. It felt like yesterday to her, and now her other brother was going to become a father too. “So this is where the father of the year is.” She got past Goten and sat beside him. “How does it feel?” “I feel so many things.” He confessed, not taking his eyes away from the sea across him. “It’s such a surreal thing. I’m sitting here, remembering the time dad took me here for the first time.” “Do you still remember it?” “No, I was just a kid. But mom was so mesmerized by it that she took a picture.” Only then Misaki noticed he was holding it between his fingers. “You snatched it from one of mom’s albums?” “I’m too young to die.” Goten couldn’t help but laugh, and she giggled for a moment. “She gave it to me before I moved out.” “It’s a sweet gesture.” “It is.” He looked down at it. “Pretty soon I’ll be bringing my own child to see the sea for the first time.” “You’re gonna be an amazing father.” She laid her head on his shoulder. “I have no doubt about that.” “Thanks, Saki.” A small smile appeared on his lips. “I’m sure you’ll be an amazing mom too.” “What is it?” A very familiar voice echoed behind them. “A sibling reunion and I wasn’t invited?” “We would never have a sibling reunion without you, Han.” The girl tapped the space beside her, motioning for him to sit down. “Misaki is right. The same can’t be said about her though.” “You always have a way to ruin a beautiful moment, don’t you?” “I didn’t, you did that yourself.” “Shut the hell up!” “Whoa, that’s really rude. I’m gonna need to talk to mom about you swearing.” “Don’t you dare. He then glanced down and saw his three children all leaned against each other, simply enjoying their own company. He smiled and then flew away to where Chi-Chi was. “Goku, what took you so long?” She asked nervously when he finally landed in front of her. “I’m sorry. I went to get you something.” He put his hand inside his gi and took out a couple of bright red apples. “Here.” He couldn’t help but smile seeing her eyes go wide for a second and then sparkle with happiness when she took one of them. “You brought apples. You remember.” “Remember what?” “You don’t remember?” “Of course I do.” He grinned and ate a bite of his own apple. Then he climbed on kintoun and stretched his arm at her. “Do you want to go back to the time we were kids and go for a ride?” “Sure, let’s do it.” She grabbed his hand and he pulled her up, and she quickly sat behind him. “Where are we going, by the way?” “You will find on very soon.” “How long have they been there?” Chi-Chi asked when she looked down at where their children were. “I don’t know, but I think for quite a while. They were already here when I came to pick up the apples.” “They really love each other.” “They do.” Goku nodded with a smile. She wrapped her arms around him and rested the right side of her face on his back, closing her eyes. “And I love you.” He looked down and placed his hands over hers. “I love you too, Chi-Chi. I’m so glad to have you in my life.”

[Ah yes. New chapter is out today. So I'll put my ramblins under the cut. I'm thinking it's not going to be eventful just by the first page and title, but hey. I do tend to find some dusty, scratched gems in here.]

[For starters, and why this will likely be uneventful for this arc, it has definitely just gone into the events of Super Hero. Which. Is expected but kind of lame. It's just really boring to rehash the movies, either going from movie to anime/manga (not sure which came first with BoG and Res:F) or, in this case, movie to manga. Maybe they'll change some shit, add a little more detail, but I'm going to guess it won't be anything significant.

Also, where's the Broly movie adapted to the manga? I'm still bothered by this because he DOES appear in the movie. So, if they adapt those scenes to the manga, how do they explain his appearance? It's really just super inconsistent, which, for this series, is a feature more than it is a bug.

I love Pan's teacher. She's really cute. And I love how there's zero concern for the green man picking up Pan. Great teachering. 10/10.

But then immediately this--

I think we all know my disdain for the "Piccolo is a better dad to Gohan" narrative, so are we going to start getting the same with "Piccolo is a better parent to Pan than Videl and Gohan?" Like I get his frustration but considering he literally kidnaps Gohan at age 4 (and yes, I know things get better and he does change and treat Gohan well as time goes on), I have trouble holding Piccolo up as the gold standard of parenting. And secondly, if it's the same as the movie, I GUESS i can kinda get frustration with Gohan not taking a few minutes to just...go pick up his kid, but Videl was at work. He could have just said no and Gohan would have HAD to go. Either way, I don't feel like Gohan and Videl working makes them a bad parent. This is pretty normal shit when both parents work.

Also not gonna lie, this reeks a little of Toriyama's sexism OR at the VERY LEAST his old fashioned and traditional ideas about how families should work (and I feel Super really pushes the traditional family over what it felt like DB/Z were pushing in the importance of friends/found families as well). As in, one of them should always be available to take care of Pan, which, usually translates to the woman. And I'm GLAD they worked Videl away from just being another housewife because it doesn't suit her, but ugh. I can see the GOHAN BAD DAD LIKE HIS DAD jokes already.

Idk how Krillin knows all this but whatever. I still hate Vomi as her name, but I'm more disappointed that we couldn't get at least faces for Hedo's parents. But I guess we know Gero and Vomi had two sons, apparently. I'm naming him Puka (I fucking hate it and this is a joke and in no way canon or at least i hope it's not god).

So they're involving the police more in this? Maybe. Might be an interesting sidebar? Who knows. I imagine it won't actually be worth much later, but I like that Krillin is getting some screen time as he would have obvious stake in not wanting the RR to resurface, considering.

Okay, that is pretty shitty of Gohan tbh. I personally think it's out of character for him to be that thoughtless, though. I could see him ASKING as Videl does, but I don't see him ASSUMING Piccolo would always be there and willing to help out. I don't know what it is about demonizing the Son family, but Super seems to have a huge hard on for it.

klajsdf I'm sure I ranted about this with the movie but I fucking HATE this shit. Like we've literally been through this TWICE with Gohan in Z, and even to some extent in Super with Frieza returning, the expo tournament, and the ToP. Gohan would ABSOLUTELY by EXPERIENCE know that Goku and Vegeta aren't always going to be around to save their asses. It's why I don't agree with the idea that he just gives up training entirely. He has too much of a hero complex in the first place, and he knows that he's the next strongest behind them (because I can at least see him being reluctant to define himself as stronger than them, even if he has the potential to be because modest boi), so keeping up with his training to some degree is a no brainer, even if he doesn't WANT to. He knows he has that responsibility, so once more playing up this "lol Gohan stopped training!!!" bit, especially at this point, is so damn old. They don't even try to make it halfway nuanced in any way, so it's literally just rehashing nonsense for a shit narrative.

And in this instance for this specific case, I agree with Piccolo being pissed. That's a stupid ass mindset for him to have.

Anyway. I still love Gamma 2.

But yeah. That chapter was pretty much a rehash of the beginning of the movie with a few, but unnoteworthy additions. But that was to be expected. Part of me wants to just say screw it with reading the rest of this arc, but I guess it gives me something to look at for a little while. I'm not holding my breath, but since they have the space, maybe they'll do something a little extra or interesting with it after all.]

Dragon Ball Super Super Hero AAAAA

I got to see the new movie in the theater today so it's finally time for spoiler coverage! I was going to get a picture with my ticket, but the online purchase QR didn't get us any... Anyway, onto the movie.

I really enjoyed this movie! It was really nice to see the B-Team become the A-Team in this one- it's always the Goku and Vegeta Show so this was a nice breath of fresh air.

Really cute fluffiness abounds with Pan and Piccolo, who seems to be playing the job of second dad since Gohan can't seem to be able to pick up his own kid from school. He did have his redeeming dad points and this guy just wants to nerd out about his Super Saiyants.

Love that Piccolo pretty much got forcibly indoctrinated in to the penguin nya cat collection- "ONE WAS ENOUGH" can't stop Gohan and Videl from giving him more plushies. And his super hearing unfortunately comes in handy for hearing his meow meow ringtone a mile away. It's even his phone case for his phone that he holds like a boomer. Had to stop my bro from starting to hold his phone like that after the movie.

Also the cute little detail that Piccolo has to remind Videl that he sustains on water- and Pan keeps a spare bottle for him!

Gotta sprinkle some love on the Gammas, they're even more fun than I imagined, dig their vibe even as background elements. And the comic book sfx weren't just stylization they were actually VISIBLE in canon. Sad that we lost my favorite, Gamma 2- he was the real super hero (almost thought he was going to get 16 bootstomped)

The Red Ribbon propaganda saying that Capsule Corp is a front for space alien invasion, wow

The Goku and Vegeta sections were also pretty enjoyable- they figured out Jiren! Meanwhile, they're giving Broly lessons in temper control, so glad it wasn't giving him Blue. Plus, it's a way for him, Lemo and Cheelai to lay low away from Frieza. Seems Lemo's the cook of the operation (so good that Whis almost got fired- "I can't live on the streets!")

...Was not expecting the Cheelai x Beerus crack ship to surface.

And a little comedically placed ice cream container conveniently kept the main Saiyan train out of the A-plot. Eat your ice cream, Broly :)

Gohan when threatened with a gun: (casual swat) "I'm calling the cops."

Gohan goes absolutely feral when you mess with his daughter.

How they managed to get Pan to play along with the kidnapping to get Gohan to give his all (what the heck Piccolo, you crazy). Pan would be the type of kidnapping victim to ask the kidnapper to cut the crusts off her sandwich.

Dr Hedo just wants to have fun- and I did not expect the family relations there with Gero despite the vomit pun being right there. Plus, confirmation that 21 was Gero's wife and 16 was his son- plus some other hidden kid. Plus Magenta inheriting Red's lack of height gene.

Bulma: "I've gathered all the strongest warriors on Earth... and Krillin."

DUDE!

Speaking of Bulma, we can see she's still making frivolous cosmetic wishes on the dragon. Didn't expect Shenron to say "your buns are now perf". Glad they could find Hedo a new job fulfilling her plastic surgery needs with his bio skin tech (Krillin, the literal cop, didn't want him in jail).

We got Gotenks baited. They fail the fusion dance, but Fat Gotenks does get volleyballed around and is useful as an attack- then they do it correct and promptly pan away from it.

Now for the big spoilers I dodged by a hair-

CELL MAX- I was somewhat expecting Cell in some form, but wow. Red Semi perfect kaiju was definitely not on the prediction bingo, got a bit nervous that 18 had to come help.

ORANGE PICCOLO - Piccolo's turning all sorts of colors, green, olive yellow, FANTA. Glad he got his potential boost. He's not going with any fancy names, he's calling it what it is. Didn't expect the Pirina buff- and nice callback to OG Dragon Ball with the giant form. Glad Krillin came along to remember that.

GOHAN BLANCO - With that SHWINK realization effect ala Super Saiyan 2 awakening, Gohan got a new form! A white-haired form, Gohan Blanco is canon- wiki's telling me it's Gohan Beast but it's Gohan Blanco in my heart. Kinda pointy but I do like the growl effect on the voice- it's like Super Saiyan 4- that makes me see why it's called Beast.

Also, cute note, apparently Gohan is straight up Velma and can't see without his glasses. He loses a Senzu Bean down the crack, now we know why he missed the Potara. Gohan needs his specs, plus Super Saiyan fixes his eyesight it seems. He asks Pan to help him find his glasses- and if you look in the corner she does! Before promptly smiling, trying to put them on, and then THROWING THEM.

Overall, very cool movie that used its normally side characters very well in higher roles (even though Krillin's kinda the butt of the joke).

Oh, and we can't forget Frieza's "role" in the movie:

Also, Vegeta finally defeated Goku in the post-credits scene :)

Backstory:

Rose never knew she was expecting twins. It came as a shock to Greg once Steven was born, with Oliver right next to him.

Steven and Oliver share Pink’s diamond, both same placement and size.

Due to her being a diamond, she was powerful enough to give each boy a separate but the same version of her gem.

The two were inseparable, many Beach City citizens knew that if they spot one twin, the other isn’t far behind.

The two bonded well with Kiki and Jennie, becoming childhood friends, so the two knew of Sour Cream and Buck Dewey before canon.

Canon happens as usual, but due to Oliver being by Steven’s side majority of the time, Steven doesn’t get traumatized/hurt as much. If anything, Oliver gets the most due to his protectiveness over Steven. Not that Steven isn’t any better, being extremely protective of Oliver.

Oliver is the shy twin, would rather be training, reading a book, or drawing rather than chat with anyone.

He wasn’t as naive of Lar’s behavior, especially towards Steven. In fact, when Steven wanted to give up himself to Aquamarine, Oliver was by his side, but not before seeing Lars out of the corner of his eye, and dumping him into the ocean near Sadie. Yes he did so with a deadpan look towards him.

He hates Ronaldo, like he might not like Kevin, but at least to him, Kevin has some goodness in him. Ronaldo creeped him out, and when Steven got kidnapped by him, that was the final straw.

He and Steven trained earlier than canon. Not of gem stuff (not till they both release their shields in said canon episode), but of marital arts.

They also learned of the training of Ki, and it was around the time of the androids appearing, that they meet the gang.

Oliver indeed had a “love at first sight” of Gohan.

He actually manages to save the day instead of Goku in the end, with just trapping Cell in a bubble until he explodes. Vegeta and Piccolo may of secretly laughed at their enemy in such a state.

And Steven was able to use his shield to block the kill attack towards Trunks.

Vegeta secretly respects the twins, and is as protective of them as he is with his own kids.

Plus Oliver helped Gohan keep training after Cell, so that’s a plus to him.

Meanwhile, Gohan helped the twins get their GED before Steven travels with Connie to college.

Vegeta wishes he got to see Steven “corrupt form”, if only to see how strong it would be compared to an Oozaru.

Oliver and Gohan began dating a year after the Cell games.

Chi-chi, despite wishing Gohan to focus solely on his studies, is glad her son has found someone amazing to love.

The fact the two meet and fought alongside one another against Cell (yes Oliver wasn’t going to let Goku’s plan get in the way) reminded her of her and Goku.

And when Goten was born, she couldn’t help but give her blessings (which Oliver is certain Garnet knew if her smile when said was anything to come by.).

They married after Gohan completed his first year in college, and made themselves a house -temple in the forest area a couple of miles from Chi-Chi and Goku’s place.

Because Goku never died, he was able to start the whole driving lesson and farming thing in Super earlier than canon. Yes, Peridot helped with the farming.

Jasper respects Gohan, mainly cause of how he fought Cell. She also might have some respect for Oliver, but only shows her respect to Steven post shattering.

Buu and other enemies never stood a chance, and you better believe Oliver wasn’t going to let Gohan, Goku, nor Vegeta die in canon like they did.

Oliver due to training with Sayians, managed to make his and Steven’s “pink glow stage” into a super Sayian like form that rivals blue Sayian mode.

He may or may not have swoon when he saw Gohan go Beast Mode (once he got control of it).

Trunks and Goten adore the twins, and constantly ask stories from the pair. Gem stories, travel stories (Steven), they can’t get enough.

Bulla was cheerfully held third by Oliver, followed by her parents.

Oliver didn’t like the God of Destruction taunting and ordering Vegeta, so the two had a little “chat”.

Let’s just say, no gods of any universe will mess with Oliver if they want to live.

Competes in marital art tournaments alongside working as a remote translator.

Languages came easy to him, inspired by learning gem and Sayian languages.

He also talked Gohan down of naming himself “Sayian Man”, which gained even more respect points from Vegeta. He also made sure Gohan wore a different outfit, with less flashy colors so he doesn’t stand out and get recognized.

Future Trunks has no idea what to think of the twins, let alone any gems as none were in his timeline.

Garnet just shrugs at him, before walking away with Trunks in disbelief.

Gohan also works as a remote translator, wanting to stay close to family, as well as train more / spend time with his husband.

Oliver doesn’t like Satan, and still wonders how people thought he of all people “defeated Cell”. Sure, looks aren’t everything, but Oliver can’t say the same for Satan’s ego.

He shrugged it off eventually, but if Satan were to ever mention said event ever in the future, they will have a “talk”.

Trivia:

The two can literally read each other’s emotions, so it was a struggle when they were babies. Greg would be holding Steven who’s crying (maybe a nightmare or just cause), and despite Oliver just be chilling, suddenly cries as well cause Steven was.

Oliver and Steven learned Ki from Pearl at first, more history, physics, and fundamentals. Than was taught by a mix of Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta.

Oliver continued his training beyond compared to Steven, but the latter twin still trained occasionally thanks to Connie also learning Ki and wishing to spar with him as she attends college.

Distance isn’t an issue once Oliver asks Goku to teach Steven the teleportation technique so he and Connie can travel to Beach City and Bulma’s place (a regular hangout due to Vegeta training the twins + Trunks) without issue.

im so honored you liked my goten and xv2 trunks gt trunks malding comic. i just want to let you know i enjoy your posts a lot i think about a select few of them a lot (examples: what do you think they're talking about, goten's un-circumcision wish, gohan asks goten if chiccolo is real and dies). i didnt actually know xenoverse comics existed my friends and i just played xv2 a bit so reading it will give good crumbs to feed me.

im thinking of making a sequel to my comic but im also wondering would it be better if gt trunks gets together with anyone (time patrol goten? an oc?) or is he doomed to a life alone. at first it was funny to see him be alone but now it's a bit sad. just a thought to add onto a simple thanks.

I feel like F Trunks hasnt had many opportunities to Be Himself or Chill Out and shit like that. He was always doing what he could to meet certain expectations of strength and character. He's lived a solid life but also he had never ever even came close to having the opportunity to rest his chin on the handle of his sword and say some bullshit bc his brain isnt working and then fall over bc his legs stopped working. Like I feel like he hinself cant even parse his body's motivations here. It's just responding this way. It just found something appealing in that Son Goten fellow. May have been Goten's enthusiasm with meeting him. May have been how he shows up already with so much love to give. May have been when they were peeing together and Goten had the audacity to look and look and lean over and LOOK and eventually say "So how is it that your circumcised?" and Future Trunks was so put off that he stopped peeing in response.

I mean GT Trunks can be forever alone it fits him fine. Seems thematically appropriate. Or yknow an oc is fine if that's what your heart desires ... or Palace.

Chapter 69: Know you

As we watched Gohan answer the door, I noticed my parents had very big smiles. I couldn’t help smile, too, especially knowing who’s at the door. Videl has an angry face when Gohan opens the door. But I don’t think she’s actually angry. From all the times I’ve seen her, I stop thinking that was her angry face. They were, for some reason, talking boring school project. Points to Trunks for calling Gohan a nerd. I was starting to get disappointed that Gohan wouldn’t talk about anything else. Well, till dad shouted out. “Videl would you like to stay for dinner?” The look on their faces were priceless. They actually were the matching redness. Trunks is gonna like this.

Videl finally said that she would love to, just that she has to let her dad know. Well, since now he knows she’s seeing a boy. Mom said she could use our phone, but Videl tried to decline. Saying something about, it’ll be better she went home, so she can change. For a brief moment Gohan looked sad. “Nonsense, you look fine.” Ha ha. Videl is trapped. There’s no way she can say no to mom. Even if she tried, mom was already on the move, to pull her inside. Gohan looked speechless. My parents are geniuses.

…

I can’t believe this! My parents are trying to kill me. They’re absolutely evil. This is the second day dad’s alive, and already he’s making it hell. Know what. Thank you. This actually feels good. It was taking me a lot to actually ask her myself, so, I’m glad dad did it. Not in the best way, but still. And now mom has Videl trapped on the couch. She looks like she needs help. I do! CRAP! How the hell? I have to ask Veg… Wait! I can ask dad, since he’s back. But does dad know why this is happening? I looked over to dad, and he’s smiling at me. You do know! Tell me! He just points at Videl and mom. Crap! They’re staring at me. What am I going to do?

You do know! Tell me! I just point to the girls. My poor Gohan is freaking out. I can’t help but smile. Just then I felt a small tug of my pants. I looked down, and it seems Goten was trying to get my attention. “What is it, little guy?” He was doing that thing Gohan did when he wanted to be carried. I felt honored to do just that. “So, what’s the matter?”

“You said we’ll go hunting, for today’s lunch. Can we go now?” Looked over at Chichi, and she was smiling at us. I told her that we were going hunting now, and will be back soon. She nodded and continued talking with Videl. Gohan tried to ask to come with us, but. “Oh, no you don’t! You always go! Not this time.” He then held tight to my neck. “It’s my turn! And only dad gets to come.” Gohan looked ready to say something when Chichi caught his attention. He gave one final glare at Goten and sat on the couch, next to Videl.

Once we were outside, something told me I need to find out exactly what he knew about hunting. “Since you never hunted before, what do you think it is?” Turns out he thought that Gohan found already died animals, and just cut them us. Or at least, that what Chichi told him. Oh, this is either going to very bad or it’ll be ok. “When we hunt animals for food, we’re the ones that kill them.” He gave me a shock look, and then started crying.

“So, it’s possible Gohan probably killed Mr. Tiger, without me know?” Oh boy.

“Maybe he didn’t, since he knew him. Gohan never kills a friend. He probably killed different tigers, and left Mr. Tiger alone.” That seemed to cheer him up, for now. As I was teaching him how to hunt, boar of all things, I was feeling a wave of familiar joy. It almost feels like when I was teaching Gohan. Only difference was Gohan was much order, and he had some practice, when he lived on his own. I even taught Goten about different plants. He was very happy. Along the way, he did stop a lot to look at all the different bugs. He even talked about some of them. That made me happy.

When we was on our way home, with our game, Goten seemed to be very quiet. From the little I spent with him, this seemed to be off. I tried asking if he was ok, and just said he was fine. Did I do something wrong? Just before we got to the house, he asked me, if it’s possible, I could teach him more stuff. “Sure thing, little guy. Is there anything you want me to teach you?” I seemed to fidget with his fingers, before he looked up at me. He wants me to teach him everything I taught Gohan. “I don’t think your mom would allow me right now, but I’ll definitely teach you. Just a little at a time. Ok, buddy?” He nodded, and we finally made it to the front yard. I wonder if the tools are still into the same place. Not like I need them anyway. I looked down to tool Goten. “Does Gohan use tools when he cuts the meat?” He shook his head. “Have you seen him do it?” Another no. “Good. I get to show you.” He looked so excited.

…

When the boys got back, they were covered in blood. That much blood usually meant they got boar. I was going to argue with them, about dirtying my floors, but Goten looks so happy. You only get this one pass. You sure? I just nod, and my Goku smiles at me. I asked Videl if she wanted to help me, and I was very pleased she said yes. As we worked in the kitchen, I couldn’t help feel motherly pride. I wonder if this is what it feels like to have a daughter.

It was clear she never worked in a kitchen, and I was very happy to show her around. It felt so wonderful to teach someone what I knew. It also felt nice to have another girl around. When lunch was ready, I saw she had a look of impressed. “You should be impressed with yourself. You did a great job.” Aw, she was blushing. When we sat down for lunch, I couldn’t help admire my Goku. It’s been so long since he’s been home. Yesterday felt like a dream, and this morning it became reality. What surprised me, and everyone else, was the fact he had a spoon up to my face. He hadn’t feed me in years. I took the bite and was so happy. I was feeling somewhat special. Goten looked shock, and then looked over to Gohan. Gohan started blushing. I could only get what Goten told him. Now even Videl was blushing. Oh my, can it really be? This is really is a special day.

As I cleaned, the house, for our soon guess, I couldn’t help to hum a happy tone. I just finished cleaning the living room, when I spotted all four of them looking at me. Is there something wrong with me. “Why are you all staring?” It was Goten that reply, saying how he never heard me hum this tune before. Videl just say how she was memorized by my speed, and strength. Gohan was also surprised by the tune. Goku just smiled, and didn’t say anything. For some reason I felt I was placed in the spotlight, and was getting special attention. I didn’t like it. So, I kicked them all out, so I can finish cleaning.

…

Mom really kicked us out. But it’s not our fault she was being so amazing. Dad is looking back at the house smiling. Gohan and Videl looks like they’re trying to make a break for it. Why’s that? I looked back to dad, and he’s already standing up. Haha! Dad caught Gohan before he went too far. Dad is telling them not to stay out too long, since we’re having guess soon. I then follow dad to a tree nearby, and he’s just sitting down. Gohan did say that dad was super relaxed. So, I sat down next to him. I was feeling bored. Just doing nothing is boring. I want to play. Maybe dad would play with me. But what would he play? Maybe I could ask him, but I don’t know.

That’s when it really started to sink in that I truly didn’t know him. I also don’t know what I’m supposed to do with a dad. Even thou I know he’s my dad. He’s really nice, and comforting. But what can we possible do together? Whenever I see Trunks with his dad, his dad is always going about training. Sometimes they play video games, but most of the time, uncle Vegeta keeps to himself. Is my dad like that? Gohan tells me how he’s always training, but same time, every chance he got, daddy would spend time with him. Gohan said how dad loved it when Gohan told him stuff he learned and did, when he was away. Gohan says dad is always telling him how proud he is. But what I am going to do? I’m not Gohan. I don’t know dad like Gohan or mom does. I don’t know what to do.

That’s when I felt tears sliding down my face. Oh great. I’m crying. I didn’t want him to see me cry. But I just don’t know what to do. That’s when I felt I was being picked up. When I looked, dad was carrying me. I then just couldn’t stop crying, and I ended up crying in his chest. I felt him hold me, and rub my back, just like mom does. It just made me cry more. Why am I crying? “It’s ok, Goten. Just take it one day at a time.” I then looked up to him, and he was smiling. “You got all the time in the world now. So, don’t you worry.” He then rubbed the tears away. “I’m here now. So, don’t you worry. Daddy isn’t going anywhere. That means we get to learn about each other every day.” For some reason that made me feel all warm inside, and I hugged him. He kept rubbing my back and holding me. So far, he’s the best daddy ever.

I’m not Gohan. I don’t know dad like Gohan or mom does. I don’t know what to do.

Goten sounds so distressed. I looked to the little guy and I see him crying. Oh no. None of that. My sons aren’t allowed to cry, and it’s my job to make sure of that. I go and pick up Goten. He takes a quick look at me, before hugs me and starts to sob into my chest. My poor little guy. I try to calm him down, but it just makes him cry more. What I am going to do? It’s been years since I’ve calm one of my sons. How am I going to calm him down? Uh? That’s right. We don’t really know each other. Maybe that’s why he’s like this. Poor kiddo. “It’s ok, Goten. Just take it one day at a time.” I rubbed his tears away. I never thought I would be being doing that again. “I’m here now. So, don’t you worry. Daddy isn’t going anywhere. That means we get to learn about each other every day.” That seemed to make him smile. He then hugged me tighter, and I couldn’t help hold even closer.

As the guess were arriving, Chichi was nowhere to be seen. It was up to me, the boys, and Videl to greet everyone. I left the boys in charge, as I went in search of Chichi. When I found her, she was in our room trying to pick out an outfit. “Just stay with what you have on. You look fine.” She argued how she was cleaning in those clothes. “But this is your home, you should be allowed to wear whatever you like.” She didn’t seem to like that answer. “Please.” She still didn’t seem to like the idea, but she did at least put the clothes down, and walked over to me. “Don’t pout at me.” I kissed her nose. “But if you are, can it wait when everyone leaves.” I kissed her lips, and then walked out our room.

I can’t believe the boys actually broke it! Now we have to buy a new one. On top of that, the boys were naked in front of our guess. They have no shame what so ever. And poor, innocent, Videl witness that. So, improper. The boys finally unfused, and were clothed. Also, a certain husband was properly clothed. After everyone left, I tried cleaning up all the mess. But the boys were trying to stop me, and clean themselves. No way! I tried stopping them, but they keep at it. I am so angry. I dragged all three out, and closed the door. “If you step inside you get no breakfast!” There was a loud groan, but none had entered. Good!

Once the cleaning was done, and I had calm down, somewhat, I finally let the boys in. Goten hugged me and cried for my forgiveness. I told it was ok, and that I forgave him. He then asked if I forgave Goku. “I’ll think about it.” With that I sent the boys to bed. Once in our room, my anger was slowly coming back. The minute the door was closed, I turned to him. “How could you do that?” I tried to keep my screaming to a whisper. “You were very indecent in front of our guess, and even Videl! Poor Videl. She didn’t have to witness her future father-in-law naked body. So, improper.” I then turned away from him. “Nobody is supposed to see you like that. that was embarrassing.” I then felt his strong arms around me, and a kissed to my neck. I tried to get out of his hold, but he only hugged tighter. “Oh, no Goku.” I then felt him lick my neck. I was trying to fight back how good that felt. He did it one more time, and then nipped my earlobe. I found myself breathless. I was trying really hard to fight it. Then he just let me go.

When I turned to him, he was smiling. How dare he! “Sorry. You know how I get when you’re all like this.” He then backed away, and held out his hands. “I’ll stop. Unless?” He had that one grin that always got my heart beating, to where it feels it’ll burst. He’s not being fair. He’s being super mean to me. I just turn away. If I can’t see him, then he can’t affect me. I felt him rubbing my shoulders. “That hurt, you know. But I’ll let it slide.” He then purrs into my ear. “This once.” My husband is pure evil. I then felt him pull away. “Fine, I’ll behave. It’s just that miss you so much.” With that, we went to bed, and he wasn’t allowed to touch me.
