found a vitaar to disguise the cc's blush crimes 😤 anyway this is the first time i'm playing DAI on an actually high quality laptop (first was xbox 360 which was poor graphics/didn't even bother rendering extras on the landscape, then my workhorse but cheapish gaming laptop i used for 10 entire years and which was wheezing its last breaths). did you know there's FLOWERS everywhere in the hinterlands?? not for me before! also, if you dick around long enough, Solas makes a pointed comment like "Shouldn't we be heading to Val Royeaux now to close the breach???" which i assume was dialogue patched in after release when everyone got stuck in the hinterlands for 10 hours. hush Solas im trying to fuck up the local ram population.

#submachine #flash #i wanted to put off posting this because. i honestly don't know what to say. but if i do i'll probably just never post it #it's so huge it's intimidating to play like. isn't it bigger that all the other games combined. wasn't this said somewhere #and i haven't replayed it properly because time and energy #but aight i'll ramble about what i remember and everyone'll be free of me sooner #which isn't much. i barely remember the plot. this is my least replayed one too because of [see above]#gotta love revisiting old locations... some of them for yet another time. very fitting for the finale #and it also shows how much the artstyle changed between games which is neat #speaking of which i love the art in this part. it's so detailed and varied and i love how many animated bits there are #the reveal about structures repeating and looping infinitely was amazing and tying to what we already knew so well #i also liked the supercomputer reveal! really cool and fits the series' focus on tech #and also i like the theme of technology and spirituality mixing so there is that. tech advanced enough to seem like magic or religion etc #also the ending! nothing really shows that the game is over like seeing actual people lol #of course there's more to it but that's actually what hit the hardest for me #and that's the end of my submachine posting v_v tomorrow it's back to anime girls or whatever #will come back to skutnik games tho! i still haven't posted daymare town or covert front

Occasionally we debate on illustrating random bits from our Discord PMs that we find really funny but then we remember that we're, like, the physical embodiment of the "ace that makes sex jokes" stereotype and phrases like "iterator dick discourse" would both be remarkably difficult to illustrate and probably require us drawing something at least somewhat NSFW (we do not particularly care to learn how to draw this)

#we speak #realistically it would just require more specific tinkering w what we choose to include but we still think the dickscourse is funny #it's the image of a bunch of ancient monks gathering around to very seriously debate decisions with the upcoming iterator project #and then the whiteboard is just like. “ITERATORS: dick or no?”#(vital context: we got hung up on the semantics of people giving their iterators actual genitals in smut)#(as the existence of that on the puppet implies that someone had to design and manufacture and ship that shit for the finished iterator)#(and the general aura of the ancients instantly catapults this to fucking hilarious because it implies job titles like “dick director”)#(and work emails about iterator pipe written in the exact same cadence as all of the ancient correspondence we see in-game)#we dont think a lot of people designing iterators really Get the sheer amount of semantics and construction and effort and PEOPLE #that go into a project of the iterator's scale #especially when hundreds of them have been constructed! theres gonna be a whole ass trail of design changes and iterations!#youre gonna have hundreds of years of iterators being designed and technology coming into fashion and out of fashion #and things being integrated and things becoming obsolete and things being more or less practical as time goes on!#you cant really say that All Iterators have a trait because the sheer scale and timeframe theyre built on means thats near impossible #our windows 95 writing computer has different construction and deeply different design to a laptop from 2023 #despite them technically being the same type of technology #you expect tech developed hundreds of years apart to be The Same? absolutely not. theres gonna be eight trillion weird design quirks #accumulated both in the construction process and in the continued design refinement and improvement stage #...which is to say that you can and should write what u want but if youre gonna include pleasure inducing wires then we want like #a 40k word essay on how this got into the design how it wound up in future designs what function the wires perform that makes them Like Tha #and so on and so forth #we admire the confidence and ingenuity of the people who want to fuck the robots but we cannot get into their fantasies with good conscienc #we live in the same house as an engineer who manages largescale construction and we also know too much about designing technology #...we should segment these tags into a separate post or something. we've gone WAY off-topic.

I'm still losing my mind over a qsmp digimon inspired au- it just feels so perfect- also please just look at this thing:

#tell that isn't literally just the eggs #idk qsmp just feels so perfect for a digi type of au or like a mon + isekai type of au in general but digi in particular speaks to me #the intersections of in-game mechanics and player rp just feels so rife with potential in that kind of setting #there's a lot of interesting sort of 'meta' things you can do with a world that is 'digital' and how #the characters can interact with it and -literally- change it... or how it can change them too O_O #the visual setting works so well too since the digital world (in the series I've seen/played) tends to be this like foresty/tropical #juxtaposed with glitches and wires and technology!#idk- it's a really fun concept that I love rolling around ideas for in my head #I'm the Worst when it comes to committing to things like this but it's an idea I've kept coming back to since like April of last year #I don't know if I'd ever do a full on au but I'd love to dabble with it in my free-time... maybe I'll make that my new years resolution lol #like it wouldn't translate exactly evenly given the eggs are lot more fragile then digi's and a lot more... mortal #but it's kind of fun in a way like it's a reverse of the usual dynamic #since the human partners would be the ones who can respawn instead of their partners- that's a fun idea to work with

i need a new computer. i know i need a new computer. i have the money and the resources to get a new computer right now. i know exactly what kind of computer i want. and yet i Will Not Buy A New Computer

#I don't want to leave MacOS Mojave :(#i want my 32 bit apps! I want to play my little bird game :( :( :(#my current MacBook is 7 years old and it's starting to have keyboard problems and flexgate stage lights #and Mojave is no longer supported by Apple or by anybody else #so like... I KNOW I need to upgrade. I KNOW #but then I'd have to get used to a New Computer #where things aren't exactly how I like them #and the design of the OS is Very Slightly Different #my current computer has 4 thunderbolt ports so you can charge it from either side!#the newer Macbooks only have 2 thunderbolt ports on ONE SIDE!#like all of these changes are so very minor but I know they're going to drive me bonkers #besides I've been meaning to get around to playing Songbird Symphony for *checks notes* five years #and I can't do that on a newer Mac #like it doesn't matter but I WANT THAT OPTION #I guess I could buy a Windows machine but then I'd have to get used to Windows which would be even harder #and I want to take advantage of the Apple trade in and education discount deals #ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i hate technology i hate technology #why can't I have one (1) computer For Ever And Ever

I remember an earlier version of who would eventually become Iota that I had around 2 years ago. Funnily enough, their story back then also involved being angry about something lol. But in this case she was angry about the fact that the Splatoon 1 plaza was more or less abandoned after Splatoon 2 came out, so she was kinda stuck in her Splatoon 1 ways and unable to accept the state of things now. Tbf this version of their character wasn’t an agent but was based off my Splatoon 1 avatar that Iota is also based off of, so they’re technically an older version of the same character.

This is the only drawing I found of this version of them, from summer of 2021 so 2 years ago. (Also check out that wasabi splattershot, nice). Btw! When I mentioned how Iota is technically a redesign, this is who they’re a redesign of!

Also yeah I might just randomly post character fun facts bc I think about them at 3:30am instead of sleeping now lol.

but I realize what I actually want is more specific than that

I want 90s to early 2000s era Final Fantasy games releasing on about as often as they released in that time period.

I think at the current level of technology that could be done without having to overwork anyone or rush and leave something mysterious and incomplete.
