I think The Classrooms is an interesting game that has some really creative ideas.
However it looses all credibility for me because the creator uses ai art.
There’s really no excuse for it. “But it’s only one person!”
Okay? And? Tons of people have made games all on their own without the use of Ai art. There’s so many other things you could do instead of using the one thing that is actively harming the environment.
“I don't care if you're just one person, don't know how to draw, don't have free time, and don't have money to hire someone. Boohoo you just described the life of like 99.9% of artists when they first start out” - FunkyFrogBait
I’m never going to support a project that uses AI art. You are just actively participating in the theft of millions of people‘s hard work, you are not entitled to artwork just because you have an idea in your head.
Either make it yourself, hire someone to make it for you, or don’t make it at all.
I’m so sick of people defending this shit.

im honestly so glad i never found myself relying on chatgpt or any ai that is supposed to help you in homework. its really embarrassing when a professor finds out
#idk. it bothers me#even with the simplest questions they resort to chatgpt#i GUESS if you HAD to use chatgpt somehow - you could just take what was written and just... slightly rewrite?#just take the general idea the ai provided but paraphrase it to make it sound like you didn't take it off chatgpt?? I don't know.#im trying to consider for those who genuinely cant#even my smart friend used chatgpt once and i was. pretty irked by it#i know theyre capable of answering it but they felt the need to ask anyway#dunno. this class kinda bummed me because i felt bad for the professor#he's the type of guy who seems genuinely hopeful for his class#but a group in the class kinda disappointed him for not being prepared and equipped and i felt . yeah#it was hard to watch and listen#irl banter#he dismissed us early. that's how bad it got#and then i see my classmates outside the classroom laughing together and chatting like they did not just witness what happened#and here's me literally finding it difficult to listen to this happen

The Path of Undeniable Connection
Once upon a time in Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, two students found themselves drawn to each other with an undeniable connection. Isogai Yuuma, the reliable and responsible class representative, and Maehara Hiroto, the charismatic and mischievous prankster, shared countless moments during their intense training to assassinate their peculiar teacher, Koro-sensei.
As the days passed, Isogai and Maehara spent more time together, their friendship growing stronger by the minute. They exchanged playful banter, shared secrets, and supported each other through the trials of assassination attempts. But little did they know that their gravity-defying bond was about to take a surprising turn.
It all began during a late-night study session in Class 3-E's small library. The faint glow of the reading lamps illuminated the room as Isogai and Maehara sat at a table, deep in their textbooks. The silence was broken when Isogai hesitantly raised his head, staring at Maehara with an intensity that couldn't be ignored.
"Maehara, I have something to tell you," Isogai whispered, his voice slightly trembling. Maehara, curious and intrigued, closed his book and looked into Isogai's eyes, urging him to continue.
"You see, ever since we met, I can't stop thinking about you," Isogai admitted, his cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. "I've realized that my feelings for you go beyond friendship."
Maehara's heart skipped a beat. A rush of emotions flooded his mind as he tried to process Isogai's confession. He had noticed the special bond they shared, but he never dared to imagine it could turn into something more profound.
"Isogai, I... I feel the same way," Maehara finally managed to say, his voice filled with vulnerability. "Being with you, it feels different. It feels right."
With those words, their hearts surged with newfound courage. Isogai reached out, gently taking Maehara's hand in his own, their fingers interlacing. The connection between them was electrifying, sending shivers down their spines. From that day forward, their relationship blossomed in secret, sharing stolen glances, stolen kisses, and stolen moments of pure bliss.
Their classmates began to notice a change. Isogai and Maehara, once inseparable friends, now seemed to share something beyond mere camaraderie. Yet, their secret love remained hidden, kept in the shadows of their assassins' lives.
Through the chaos of assassination attempts, heart-wrenching moments, and battles against their own doubts and insecurities, Isogai and Maehara stood together. Their unwavering support for each other became their source of strength, motivation, and determination to succeed.
As the final weeks of their junior high journey approached, the two lovers found solace in the knowledge that their time together would continue long after their quest to kill Koro-sensei ended. They dreamed of exploring the world side by side, overcoming any obstacle that may come their way, forever cherishing the unique bond they had found in the midst of chaos.
And so, as they reached the pinnacle of their journey, defeating Koro-sensei and graduating, Isogai and Maehara walked hand in hand into their bright and uncertain future, confident that their love would guide them through every adventure that awaited them.
For in the world of assassination, where danger lurked around every corner, their undeniable connection had proven to be their most powerful weapon, ensuring that they would never be alone.

I assigned a writing prompt a few weeks ago that asked my students to reflect on a time when someone believed in them or when they believed in someone else. One of my students began to panic.
“I have to ask Google the prompt to get some ideas if I can’t just use AI,” she pleaded and then began typing into the search box on her screen, “A time when someone believed in you.”
“It’s about you,” I told her. “You’ve got your life experiences inside of your own mind.” It hadn’t occurred to her — even with my gentle reminder — to look within her own imagination to generate ideas. One of the reasons why I assigned the prompt is because learning to think for herself now, in high school, will help her build confidence and think through more complicated problems as she gets older — even when she’s no longer in a classroom situation.
She’s only in ninth grade, yet she’s already become accustomed to outsourcing her own mind to digital technologies, and it frightens me.
When I teach students how to write, I’m also teaching them how to think. Through fits and starts (a process that can be both frustrating and rewarding), high school English teachers like me help students get to know themselves better when they use language to figure out what they think and how they feel.
. . .
If you believe, as I do, that writing is thinking — and thinking is everything — things aren’t looking too good for our students or for the educators trying to teach them. In addition to teaching high school, I’m also a college instructor, and I see this behavior in my older students as well.
-----
This! This is what scares me the most about AI! Physical exertion is difficult if someone isn't used to it, and it gets easier the more often it's done. When it's done often enough, it becomes a habit. Mental exertion is exactly the same. Thinking is a learned skill just like a sport is, and an entire generation is growing up without that most critical skill.
An unthinking populace is a more easily controlled populace.
