y'know what was another thing I loved about 13's era? the names. They were ordinary, normal names. No granduer, no title-esque nature to them. They felt like a person's name, not a character. Yaz Khan, Ryan Sinclair, Graham O'Brian, Dan Lewis. All ordinary, almost every day names. They were primarily referred to by first name too, all of this making it feel more grounded and real.

By transference, it made the Doctor feel more like a name too, less of a title, something very important in an era dissecting how the origins of the Doctor was to be something titled, something used. Even down to the informal 'Doc' Graham brought.

idk, it's just a cool detail I loved about the era

This was legit one of the best episodes in a long, long while. The Doctor's and companions' characterisations, the minor characters, the plotlines all tying up. The themes of words and knowledge and humanity, mirrored by the Doctor appearing more and more alien until she straight up places herself above humans. The final poem and the focus on the Doctor : "She was the universe." Flawless writing. Bravo.
