It feels so good to have completed this piece! I was afraid I wouldn’t finish it out of sheer boredom. Initially, this dragon felt kinda plain to me, but it grew on me after a while. I hope that over time I’ll learn more to enjoy the process of creating, instead of just enjoying the final product

TBH I’m not sure if this piece is fully finished, but that’s how I feel about most of my projects. I really what to be more prolific when is comes to making art, because more practice leads to more skill. Hopefully in a year or so I’ll be able to see an increase in my drawing capabilities

"The negative one"

Inspired by the slipknot song of the same name.

It was made with graphite powder and pencil on a 5x7 ampersand claybord.

I drew this from a reference (included), a pic I found on FB. I just thought it was pretty and wanted to see what I could reasonably do. I know the leaves/tree are butt, it is a skill issue as well as a lack of patience. I've been struggling to complete it due to mental and physical health reasons over the course of the month. I wanted to do the mountain in the background but felt I would ruin what I managed to accomplish and opted just to finish as is. Short snoot and butt trees aside, I'm happy with it and its definitely an approvement from where I was to now. I hope to eventually graduate from graphite to pen eventually.
