What is a USA Green Card?
The USA Green Card is an official identification card issued by the U.S. government to immigrants who have been granted lawful permanent residence. With a Green Card, you gain almost all the rights of a U.S. citizen—except voting—along with access to healthcare, education, and employment benefits.
Key Benefits of the USA Green Card

Pathway to Citizenship: Eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship after 5 years of permanent residency.
Family Sponsorship: Sponsor your spouse and unmarried children under 21 to become Green Card holders.
Freedom of Employment: Work in any field or profession without employer sponsorship restrictions.
Social Security Benefits: Eligible for Social Security and Medicare after meeting contribution requirements.
Popular Green Card Categories
Family-Based Green Card: For immediate relatives of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
Employment-Based Green Card: For professionals, skilled workers, and investors.
Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery: A limited program for individuals from underrepresented countries.
Asylum/Refugee Adjustment: For those granted asylum or refugee status.
Special Categories: For religious workers, Afghan/Iraqi nationals, and other specialized groups.
The Green Card Process – Step by Step
Determine Eligibility: Choose the category that fits your background.
File Petition: Either through an employer, family member, or self-petition.
Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing: Depending on whether you're inside or outside the U.S.

spendin some time lately fleshing out dimensionswap AU Yugo's ace monster Shattered Wing and its evolved form, Perfect Wing. his big nasty radioactive beasts <3
plus a bonus baby Yugo, Mister Gets to See Duel Spirits In This AU over here 🥺
Tumblr media
some commentary on the designs/better look at the card text under the cut!
SHATTERED WING:
SHATTERED-WING FUSION DRAGON EARTH Level 8 Dragon Fusion/Effect Monster 2700 ATK / 2000 DEF 2 EARTH Monsters on the field, except Tokens If this card is Fusion Summoned: you can target 1 face-up monster on the field; it loses 600 ATK, and its effects are negated. During either player's Battle Phase (Quick Effect): target 1 monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK; destroy it, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to the difference until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Shattered-Wing Fusion Dragon" once per turn. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this face-up card you controlled was destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effect and sent to the GY this turn: You can banish 1 EARTH Machine monster from your GY; Special Summon this card.
I love this big freak. Basically just "what if Clear Wing couldnt fly but still didnt have legs." Massive lizard dragging itself after you. Fusion!Yugo's monsters do a lot of ATK modification--in my mind's eye Shattered Wing spears through an effected monster to destroy it with its Battle Phrase effect. Yugo's also got a bit of a persistence predator type motif, hence why Shattered can revive itself in the End Phase... you're not getting away from it that easily <3
PERFECT WING:
PERFECT-WING FUSION DRAGON LIGHT Level 10 Dragon Fusion/Effect Monster 3400 ATK / 2700 DEF 1 EARTH monster + 1 Dragon monster whose original Level is 7 or higher If this card is Fusion Summoned: the ATK of all other monsters on the field becomes halved. Once per turn, when an opponent's Special Summoned monster activates its effect (Quick Effect): you can negate the activation, and if you do, you can equip that monster to this card. Gains 600 ATK for each monster equipped to this card by this effect. If this card battles an opponent's monster whose current ATK is different from its original ATK, your opponent's cards and effects cannot be activated until the end of the Damage Step. You can only use each effect of "Perfect-Wing Fusion Dragon" once per turn. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: both players take 1000 damage, then you can target 1 EARTH Fusion Monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it, ignoring its Summoning conditions.
perfect wing... i love you perfect wing.... its wings are made of different chunks of glass haphazardly fused together, a reflection of Yugo desperately trying to jam square pegs in round holes and hoping something, anything, he can do will finally make him 'perfect' in the Professors' eyes. If he can just be perfect he can have more outside time. Faculty won't look at him like he's an animal. Everything will be ok...... :(
It spears monsters with its radioactive tail and drags them into itself, uses their powers to further polish its wings and begin to fly, until it's defeated and it crashes violently back to the ground, breaks all over again. You can't keep chasing perfection forever.
Design wise Perfect Wing is largely inspired by uranium glass <3 And nasty glowy radiation in general (its three little back 'wings' deliberately loosely resemble a radioactive hazard symbol when seen from above <33) And glass fusing!

Speak Out Against Deporting Innocent People Including Legal Visa and Green Card Holders with No Criminal Backgrounds to Salvadorian Terrorist Detention Center WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. NOW.
Dear Senator Tillis,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the response I received from your office regarding the ongoing crisis in immigration enforcement. Of all the communications I’ve received from you over the years, this one was by far the most disconnected from reality and the most morally evasive.
You sent a form letter about “border security” and “merit-based reform.” You spoke of economic priorities and worker programs. Not once did your letter acknowledge what I—and many others—have contacted you about: the ongoing abductions and deportations of legal residents and asylum seekers without due process, and their transfer to inhumane detention facilities like El Salvador’s CECOT prison.
What I received was a talking points memo. What I expected—and what the moment demands—is a real response from a public official willing to look this crisis in the face.
Senator, I know you are not a cartoon villain. I know you believe in the Constitution. I know you’ve spoken about law, liberty, and the dignity of the individual. But this is a moment that calls for moral clarity—and your office is offering political fog instead.
Let me tell you plainly what your response ignored:
Legal residents like Kilmar Abrego Garcia are being deported in direct defiance of court orders.
Green card–holding students like Mahmoud Khalil are being arrested and detained without charges.
Over 130 Venezuelans—many with no criminal record—have been deported to CECOT, a prison where people are caged for 23.5 hours a day, denied sunlight and basic hygiene, and in some cases, never heard from again.
International students from Tufts, Stanford, and elsewhere are being surveilled, blacklisted, and quietly disappeared—without hearings, lawyers, or charges.
These are not “immigration cases.” These are due process violations. These are state-sponsored disappearances. And every time your office sends a generic letter about “fixing the system,” you’re refusing to acknowledge that the system is being dismantled from within.
President Trump has now said he wants to send American citizens to El Salvador’s CECOT prison. That’s not just a bad idea—it’s a statement of intent to end constitutional protections altogether.
You should be shouting from the rooftops. Instead, your office sends pre-written paragraphs as if we’re debating marginal tax rates.
I am not writing for platitudes. I am writing to ask—to demand—that you make a real, substantive public statement:
Condemn the deportation and detention of people without due process.
Condemn the use of CECOT or any torture facility as a destination for deportees.
Affirm that no person—citizen or not—should be punished by the government without a hearing, without representation, without a chance to be heard.
If you cannot say those things, then be honest: say that the Constitution doesn’t matter to you anymore. Say that government power is more important than individual rights. Say that the people we disappear don’t deserve a voice.
But don’t insult your constituents by sending out empty statements while people are being taken, silenced, and sent to die.
We deserve better. I deserve better. And I believe, deep down, you know that.
I am asking you again—as a North Carolinian, as an American, and as a person who still believes in this country’s founding principles—to look this horror in the face and speak.

Note
as an immigrant who is in the process of getting a green card (which takes long as fuck), I am TERRIFIED by the prospect of Trump winning. And the apathetic nature of my age group (the youth) swearing not to vote due to fucking HAMAS OF ALL THINGS. I swear that they don’t actually care about Palestinians or Jewish people because Trump is not who any of those two groups want winning.
trump literally wants to bomb gaza and turn it into a parking lot meanwhile biden has publicly called for a ceasefire and says he wants one multiple times now, but don’t worry leftists! we know that’s exactly the same thing 🤡
like, way to go guys, you’re going to single-handedly ruin life for every possible group outside white, straight, christian men who support trump. bravo.

Let's connect some dots here
The Trump administration kidnaps and sends hundreds of people to a prison camp in El Salvador with no due process (meaning they never have to prove these people committed whatever offence the Admin claims)
The Administration sets the precedent that anyone, up to green card holder and naturalized citizens, will be subject to this for practicing free speech in a way the Administration doesn't like
The Administration puts out two Executive Orders, one which says they believe trans people and parents of trans children are all sexual offenders and another that anyone who criticizes Israel is a terrorist
The President puts out a statement, in public, saying he wants to find ways to send US citizens to those foreign prison camps
The Administration directly defies 2 different SCOTUS decisions that say anyone who is deported must get due process and (this one a unanimous decision) they must return a wrongfully deported man
The US President now tells the President of El Salvador, again in public, that they will need to expand their facilities because he wants to start sending "homegrown criminals" to El Salvador very soon
We aren't even in boiling the frog territory any more, we're in a flash frier.
Like I hate sounding like a fucking tinfoil hat nutjob, but it's clear as day, right? He's saying exactly what he wants to do. And no one is doing anything about it. They're just saying "hey that's illegal!" and then letting it happen anyway.
