Picked this up while I was out getting a stand for the ZZ once it’s finished. Never built a Real Grade before, but the person working there told me this and the Gold Frame were good ones, and I didn’t want to spend another $50+ on the Nu, High Nu, or Zeong just yet.

Underrated Mecha trope I wish we would see more often:

When one or more of the supporting characters who helped design and/or maintain and repair the protagonist’s super-shiny-flashy-hero-mech and have up to now provided little more than goofy comic relief and/or basic emotional support suddenly goes ‘so did anyone forget that I know basically EVERYTHING about super-OP giant robots? You know, because I build and maintain them?’

And then proceed to break out this janky-ass looking mech they’ve been tinkering on in their spare time that is clearly cobbled together from spare parts of the flashy hero mech and also one or two salvaged enemy and/or mass-production mechs and just starts kicking ass in it.

Started drawing last night for a few hours, just using 3 pages to sketch some stuff to “recalibrate” myself after 3 months of not drawing.

This was the last thing I drew and… I have to say it’s very nice imo, granted- I haven’t drawn the M1 Astray in YEARS. XD

It's exciting to see Astray R translated, but I'm not sure about this art style.

Like it's stylish and it slaps, but it's weird to see Lowe drawn like this.

For reference, Lowe is one of the most pacifistic Gundam protagonists in terms of not killing and he's a blue collar goofball.

Bandai MG 1/100 MBF-02VV Gundam Astray Turn Red. Snap built, cameras painted, panel lined with Tamiya Brown panel liner. That last pose was hell. Kit would not cooperate.

What's your opinion on Mobile Suit Gundam Seed?

( Well, I've been writing since about 2013. I generally like horror, urban fantasy, real robot, and crime stories. I kinda just want to have this girl be the funny little horror vampire she is, don't really got an end goal for character development? Not really my objective for tumblr RP, but that'll probably change.)

( Gundam Seed is kinda boring imo, but the water-mining scene in the Junius 7 wreckage is one of the best moments in all of gundam.)
