I would like to start off by saying, sex work is extremely emotionally taxing, you can get a lot of nasty comments about your body or presumed personality and you need to have a thick skin to bounce off.

If you are freshly 18 or underage thinking about sex work, please wait until you are older. Although 18 is the legal age to begin sex work, at that age most people have little sexual experience and can be easily taken advantage, as onlyfans or any type of sex work your boundaries are pushed every day, and you need to be able to protect yourself.

Let’s get into the nitty gritty!

In my experience sex work is pretty much a huge grind of promotion, unfortunately it’s not as easy as creating an onlyfans and getting flooded with guys.

You need to have detailed knowledge of social media posting times, how to get followers, seo, and build up large platforms. I’m a fairy small creator and I didn’t see real growth until around 10k on my platforms.

You need to get good at marketing yourself as well, as if you just post you wanna see my boobies? More often then not people won’t just buy of the bat, they need convincing. Think sales, incentives, extras etc!

Don’t waste your time with long dm conversations of convincing, if they wanted to buy your stuff, they would, it’s frustrating and a waste of emotional energy

Don’t believe people when they say I made 1000+ in my first week. That generally doesn’t happen unless you have a huge following.

Be an actual human! Run your social media accounts like you actually enjoy being there (I love my tumblr so it’s completely natural for me)

Now, on the other note:

I know this has been mentioned/said many times but none of the upcoming works will be done soon, or in the span of few weeks. I am finally in my home country after 2 years and I am barely on my computer (where I write) since I want to enjoy the very limited time I have with my family, and I desperately need a break from screen. I also need to prepare my research for school, so I am sure you can understand where my priorities lie this summer.

I am a little overwhelmed with changes in my life, and tumblr doesnt help much, neither AFF where I feel like its silent readership all the time (hence I stopped uploading one shots, because I am just asking to be ignored). This comes with constant comparison to other/more famous writers who always get the credit from readers without having to publish many chapters and already have hunders of ppl interested, while others cant really break through because readers dont appreciate you not having countless featured stories lol (which is supposed to validate you skills, I guess) - so yeah, that is another personal problem of mine that I am battling with currently.

I will slowly work on my WIPs BUT as much as I have a plan, and I always try to share it with you, I am not obliged to follow it simply because sometimes I have bad days and I want to write something nice and easy, and other times when I am in the mood, I can write more serious/plot-heavy story. I will proceed to publish whichever work will be done earlier, sorry! >.<

I worked hard for this blog (for myself) to make it where it is now. I am closing on my first 1000 followers as well, and I manage to get a few asks from various anonymous readers too, which is a big accomplishment for a writer. I do not take any comments/likes/reblogs for granted (for AFF goes the same along with upvotes) So I am very thankful! This blog has been a little life-savior in the difficult times I have to go through at my uni and helped me grow as a writer too.

Re: lack of notes on fresh content - you're right that fandom for rock bands like AM and Muse seem to hate fresh content with how it's ignored unless a blog that's got 1000s of followers rbs, and it makes no sense. Their fandoms in particular are still huge on Tumblr, but 2 reasons I can think of is it's all fragmented + the site itself doesn't always let the new stuff pop up in search/recommended. That being said I'm glad that you and so many others are still creating lovely things!
