the fanfic i most vividly remember after all this time is still a frostiron fanfic i read on ff dot net fuckin YEAAAAAAARS ago. it is, to date, the only played straight enemies to lovers fanfic i have ever read (not enemies to enemies who fuck which is my preferred way of using that trope). GOD i wish i remembered it's name, i think it was named after like, a law of physics or something? it’s title was a single word that's what i most vividly remember.

Tbh idk if I followed you first or you did. Or when we have started following each other for that matter lol IT HAS BEEN A WHILE. But I remember being very excited when I saw both your blogs? It's always great seeing well-developed OCs and I immediately made grabby hands when I read your pages like I wanted to throw Rivah at them so badly. And you were so easy to talk to and plot with. I think we clicked very well from early on? We don't write with each other as often as we did in the past (-sweats when thinking I said I make fandomless verses-), but pls I'm still happy seeing you on my dash and having fun and putting out these very high quality replies. IT HAS BEEN... TWO years? One year? I think it's two. And I feel the same! I still love Rivah a lot. Honestly the blame also lies with me because I am a bit burnt out on ff.14/my muses w it in general, but I should still go and throw things at you regardless if you don't mind waiting a while.

Saw the Welsh ask about nos da and noswaith dda and did not know that Welsh had gendered words! I am trying to learn Welsh with Duolingo (according to a friend who is Welsh it is Not Always Accurate) and they did not mention that at all.

Also why does Welsh have -th and -dd which (to my ears) make the same sound? Why is it noswaith not noswaidd?

They make slightly different sounds - can you hear the difference in the 'th' between the English words "those" and "three"? In the first one you activate your vocal chords; in the second, you don't. The Welsh dd is like the first one. You use your vocal chords.

There is only one sound in Welsh that's genuinely represented by two separate letters, actually, and that's ff and ph. And we keep them both purely because it makes the mutations easier to follow! All others have subtle differences

As to Duolingo, it's not that it's inaccurate. It's just mixing a bunch of dialects together and not explaining anything, so it's kind of outside our wheelhouse. (Tbh Welsh speakers are some of the worst people to trust on Duolingo's accuracy, because hwntws shriek northern bias and gogs shriek southern bias and everyone ignores the Cardis.)

Fyolai’s Speedrun to Marriage by ghostsdilemma is the best i can think of, tho i haven't read more recent updates so i can't vouch for its entirety 👉👈

a break in plans by valleykey is a very cute oneshot with a very fun nikolai and sigma dynamic!!!! (i remember this author's nikolai is generally p good but i haven't read enough to say for sure)

and. i think that's it asjdfhg i don't particularly like any nikolai ship enough to read about it, and it's hard to find anything that isn't romantic(/is about a different ship and also has him as a main enough character to tell) 🥺

if anyone knows any good ones that aren't a ship fic/the ship isn't the main thing about them...... hmu 👀

Huuhhh this is a tough question because generally, I don't read that much EM smut, I find a lot of it very vanilla when I do read it 😂 that's actually why I started writing EM bc the smut was subpar IMO, I like it dirty and descriptive and with more interesting dynamics more recently lol!!!
