first proper post! a very late 'revenge' for @artekai to the artfight attack that they made for me, which I absolutely loved!

Kai and Fross are their characters in the Horizon universe. Their story is amazing and I insist you go give it the love it deserves, check it all out and support their writing <333

my half self insert half oc for hfw... an self-inflicted outcast and traveling trader/ falconer!

He's not necessarily an outcast- more like a lonesome hunter who spends her days scowering the desert for machine and animal parts to trade. it was during a search in some ruins that he found a focus- and then found out how to tame chargers.

When Gaia came back online, she got signals from Trav's focus, but decided not to act on it, as she didn't want to reveal herself to some random stranger when she had WAY more important things to do. Then, after the events of HZD, she sends Aloy to contact Trav, as they need all the help they can get.

If she was in game, she'd work kinda like a very specific merchant- selling mostly animal parts and potions, but once in a while coming up with a rare machine part. After befriending her, he moves to the Base and hunts there- providing food for everyone and working as a convenient in-home trading center for Aloy.

And yes, Aloy can try to pet her harris hawk. It might bite her though.

Diary of a Carja #1

You know how your Friends and Family like to gossip about who you will eventually marry in life? Like, a Rich one, or someone who takes good care of you, or someone who works really hard. Heard that before? Yes, well... it is the same for me but with my Friends. They love to talk about that a lot. I am the only single Girl in our little Group. The reason as to why that is lies in the history of the Carja. The Father has the saying in every Family, they usually arrange weddings for their daughters, but… not so for me. I don’t know who my Family is, or what happened to them, all I know is, that I grew up alone, in the Streets of the lower Village of the City of the Sun: Meridian. So, every time I meet up with my friends and some average to handsome looking guy walks by, you can hear them talk… and they talk A LOT, always trying to introduce them to me. In fact, I’ve met someone...He is a Noble and his name is Ryas. We’ve just recently crossed ways but no one every piqued my interest as he did…

But I am writing ahead… Hello! My name is Emilie, I am a shy redhead that just tries to survive on her own. I am a commoner in a city full of Nobles, who think they are better than everyone else. Living in the lower parts of Meridian, the Village, I am having a small, but cozy house, right before the Royal Maizelands, with a little garden that provides me with enough food to survive well. I can’t quite remember how it happens but, I managed to make some friends that are Nobles themselves. We meet up quite often while making little group projects in the city, like art, embroidery, crocheting, sewing and reading books. Even though I prefer the Village, because it is calm and less busy as Meridian, I enjoy coming up to visit the market. It always smells nice of different kind of spices that dance in the air like a swarm of flower petals. ~

From left to right!

• Sorya (Horizon Zero Dawn): A former Eclipse runaway who's on a quest to right her wrongs. Journeying back to Meridian with newfound company, she slowly learns how to live life anew.

• Meril (Horizon Zero Dawn): A Banuk shaman who's trying to get over his traumatizing past. Curious about the world of the Old Ones, he finds comfort in trying to uncover stories of the past. (Meril belongs to @erevoid <3)

• Anash (Horizon Zero Dawn): A high ranking Eclipse who's devastated at the loss of Sorya, his only friend. Upon learning that she's faked her death, he abandons his morals and restraints and goes down a dark path, having sworn revenge on her. (Anash belongs to @erevoid <3)

• Luyten (Oneirophobia - D&D Original): A felifolk barbarian who's banished from her village for treacherous behavior against their religion. She and her unlikely friends adventure their way through the world of Speira and delve into the mysterious realm of dreams.

• Mercury (LARP Original): An orphan from a raided village who grew up to be an assassin for hire. Mercury makes her way into the ranks of a royal faction where she serves as a scout. She struggles with her identity as a person and doesn't let her emotions slip easily, making it hard to approach and befriend.

• Nameless (Minecraft): A biblically accurate amnesiac. Nameless claims to have fallen from the Aether but has forgotten everything else ever since and is desperately trying to find her way back. She spents her time in the Overworld learning how it works with the humans who nursed her back to health.

• Sol (Elite Dangerous): A seasoned pilot who loves explore the unknown. She's rebelled against the will of her parents to support the Federation, which has costed her contact with her younger sibling. She aspires to reconnect with them one day.

• Eden (Twenty One Pilots): A double agent who's an informant for the banditos, while also a trusted member between the bishops. The more she uncovers within the facility the further she's driven away from them. She slowly learns how to live between the rebels.

• Koi (Kingdom Hearts): Teleported from her homeworld under mysterious circumstances to Traverse Town like many others, Koi has to get used to a new form, environment and people, as well as dangers. She meets Tenelux, a fellow keyblade wielder who sticks around so they can find how to get back home together, combating darkness and jumping from world to world.

“This is the one!”- Nefa yelled, pulling me out of my thoughts. She is holding up a gold bracelet which probably costs a lot of shards. Not like it is a problem for her. “That’s a good choice, it fits you really well”- I smiled at her. Nefa is happy and so am I, especially because I was able to make her day better, even if it was just a little strolling through the city. Before we went to go our own ways, we decided to take a look back at the other stand to see if the bracelet, I so wanted, is still there, but when we arrived it was gone. Looks like someone else was faster. I’ve dropped my head into my chest while Nefa gave me a slight hug. “We will find you a new one, don’t be sad ok?”- She said in a slight whisper. Being used to things getting snatched in front of my eyes, I was not all to surprised it was gone. Yes, I am sad about it but Nefa is right, I’ll find another one. The Sun was hanging low over the Mesa, it was getting late so we parted ways. My friend tends to get into trouble, with her father, when she is not home in time. On my way to the elevators that lead down to the village, the jade-green bracelet was suddenly dangling in front of my face. I jump scared, realized someone was holding it up. “You were interested in this one, right?” I heard a deep voice in my ear, vibrating through my whole body. Still feeling the scare in my bones, my body shrinked together I slowly turned around seeing a big guy with a bright smile standing behind me. ~

i gave her a small focus bcus i wanted to design her as someone who isn't so interested in the Sun and the politics of the suncourt but as someone who is super interested in the Old Ones and how their society functioned, and what their history was (this is all to her family's abject horror as she is their firstborn daughter)
