Have you any vices other than the occasional cocaine?

Of course, would be boring otherwise, wouldn't it be? Although whether a thing is considered a vice is left to personal interpretation. Other than cocaine, a bit of morphine or codeine there, maybe benzodiazepines, some other experiments, smoking probably is considered a vice as well. Drinking probably is also a vice, but I don't do that frequently, mostly just in social settings. Some would probably also consider solving crime and getting yourself in mortal danger a vice. I probably forgot many other things that could also be vices.

And when I talk about any of this I meant in the past, I am not doing it now. John please don't kill me I am currently not doing anything. Don't make me pee in the jar again, it's humiliating. It's my birthday am I not allowed anything?

Chapter One: when the train rolls by

Nancy burst into her editor’s office, slapping her hands down on his desk. “I’ve got a story.”

Murray slowly spun around in his chair to face her. “Great job with the knocking, Wheeler.”

Nancy waved her hand dismissively, “Who needs manners when I have a great story!” She was practically vibrating with excitement, her bright blue eyes shining.

“Nancy, may I remind you that you are on the weddings and human interest beat? Not the whatever-investigative-expose-you’re-about-to-pitch beat?” Murray said, taking off his glasses and pinching the bridge of his nose as if trying to preemptively ward off a headache.

“No need, Murray. This story falls entirely within my purview,” Nancy grinned, dropping into the chair opposite him.

“Oh, do tell,” Murray said, sarcasm dripping as he leaned back in his chair.

“So I just met this guy in the bar–” Nancy started, leaning forward.

“Ah yes, the best place to meet reputable sources.”

“ –and he was going off about his ex-fiancée–”

“Very regular and stable of him.”

“ –and he said that she’s left 3 men at the altar including him so far–”

“Wait–THREE?”

“ –AND she’s engaged again. Obviously he’s gotta be–”

“Like fully AT the altar? In front of all their family and friends?”

“ –full of shit, like who would do that? But–”

“You gotta go interview her.”

“Exactly!”

Six hours later, Nancy was on the road, heading to Hawkins, Indiana from Chicago. All she had was her suitcase, a notebook, and a bar napkin with the names Chrissy Cunningham, Eddie Munson, and Gareth Emerson scrawled across it in drunken handwriting. Her first order of business was going to have to be finding a way to meet Chrissy without scaring her off. Well, maybe her second order of business. She had forgotten her toothbrush, so the first order of business was finding the local general store.

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to my most favorite member of The Royal Family, and ultimately my favorite Princess (who needs Disney, right!?!?)

Happy Birthday to Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, Princess Anne.

As a young child, she slightly terrified me (which I can assure you she likely still could even to this day). She is the rock currently holding the family together. The ultimate leader and example. Sure, she's had her fair share of drama and is by no means a saint, but she is someone I greatly admire and respect. As some would say, I'd willingly follow her lead into battle (and if you're in a war with Anne, you may just come out victorious on her team - insert my theory that she's also a MI6 agent!)

Nonetheless, the more I've learned and read about her, and in particular watched this last year, the utmost grace and dignity she showed during her mother's passing in faithfully remaining by her side until the bitter end, she has set an example that many should emulate.

Happiest of Birthdays, Ma'am! Here's hoping you and the Admiral are enjoying Scotland sailing and exploring of lighthouses!

- sanzu/peh yan bffism is REAL. sanzu’s got his arm around peh’s shoulder, i’ve never seen him physically friendly to anyone 😭 peh and sanzu have a bond absolutely no one, not even pahchin, understands. they don’t talk a lot but they each have a strange, unsettling energy about themselves that they rub off on each other and encourage the other to feed into

- potential angry/sanzu bffism… i firmly believe if anyone knows souya aside from his own brother it’s hakkai OR SANZU. sanzu likes hanging out w him because he’s quiet too unlike these other idiots. sanzu probably knows exactly how to get souya to crack a smile, however small it is. i bet souya leans into sanzu during meetings or hangouts to whisper snarky ass comments because he knows sanzu won’t tell a damn soul

- i couldn’t even imagine sanzu and hakkai getting along in any scenario prior to seeing this image but now i’m thinking they probably practice sparring and fighting with each other all the time. maybe sanzu learned how to fight with a fucking pipe from hakkai. they’re a pair, again, or few words, but they’ve got a quiet respect for each other. brothers that take the beating for their sisters gotta stick together, you know?

- fuck. this last one has me vibrating out of my skin. the implications of a sanzu/chifuyu duo is… making me insane. genuinely. stick with me.

sanzu knew baji first. sanzu knew a version of baji that chifuyu never did. (stick with me, imagine this image is post valhalla arc, after they’ve lost baji) chifuyu knew a new baji that sanzu was unfamiliar with. a baji that wasn’t the best friend he’d grown up with. there’s a mutual resentment between them after baji’s death, because they each miss a version of baji the other had, they each feel bitter about memories that don’t belong to them.

but i think they could bond over it too. not in a sweet way, though—in a way that’s bad for them, almost toxic. they want to hate each other but they can’t, too drawn to the other begging for stories about their friend. chifuyu tells the story of baji trying to do better in school for his mothers sake and sanzu almost cries because he remembers the vivid and vicious love baji and his mother had for each other. sanzu tells chifuyu that baji has always been bold and brash, has always been thoughtful and kind, and chifuyu almost can’t bare to listen to it.

they bond over their grief. but they don’t get better because of it—i can only envision them each being the worst influence on the other. not understanding how to handle the grief, how to handle the pain, how to move on. so they indulge and encourage indulgence in their bad coping mechanisms—but they do it together.
