𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: When the archons refuse to allow the harbringers to visit, they take matters into their own hands.

𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓

By the time the harbringers realized you were discovered, the archons already had a tight grip on you. They immediately sent a request to visit the land of Mondstat to see their beloved creator, only to be denied.

They tried everything they could to convince the archons to let them visit. They tried sweet words, vows to change their ways, and bribery, but none of their tactics worked.

Finally, they decided to use brute force. They were going to see you no matter what.

The amount of fatui sightings tripled in less than a week. They appeared everywhere for seemingly no reason. While the public remained clueless, the archons knew it was retaliation.

Eventually, the fatui focused all their might on your palace. Fatui members flooded through your gates and attacked everyone they laid their eyes on.

The archons were forced to part from you and put you in the arms of a citizen; they wrapped you tightly in a blanket and held you to their chest, pretending you were their normal, mortal baby.

Pierro, however, saw through this facade. He approached the woman with a scowl on his face and demanded she surrendered the child.

She protested, but Pierro pried you out of her arms and into his. He left without a trace while you slept peacefully in his coat.

The woman was in shambles when the archons found her again. Tears were streaming down her face as she mumbled about failing them and her creator.

Unfortunately, once they figured out what happened, you and the fatui were gone.

𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒊 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔

You are literally never on your feet. If Pierro isn't holding you, It's first come first serve. He could be in an important meeting and you'll be hanging onto Pierro's coat and playing with his hair. You can even put stickers on him! He'll see them as a blessing.

Pierro isn't too entertaining to be around. 90% of the time he's working, and the other 10% is when he's sleeping. But on the off chance he has free time, he tells you stories about Khaenri'ah. Only if nobody's around can you get him to play with your dolls. He finds it quite relaxing, so long as he isn't caught.

Dottore... Isn't someone you should be around. The others will actively keep you away from him so your health isn't at risk. Despite your age, he wants to do experiments on you so he can better understand your abilities and tolerance. You like his mask, though.

Columbina likes to nap with you. You two will sleep for hours in the comfiest of outfits. She is very polite towards you and doesn't dare to raise her voice around you. Columbina will treat you like you're older than you really are, often consulting you in big decisions.

Capitano doesn't often interact with you, he doesn't want to tarnish his reputation, but he is around you as often as possible. He's heard stories of people being cursed and thrown to the streets because you were displeased with them--he doesn't want to become like them. He would much rather keep his distance so his honor isn't tainted. He does admire from afar how you're able to be so graceful, even as an infant. He aspires to be like you (though, he'll never admit it out loud.)

Pulcinella likes to predict how you'll be when you're an adult. Pinpointing whether you'll be strong, polite, or rude beyond compare, and what national tragedies you'll cause is a game to him. He has your entire life laid out in front of him. However, because of his stature, you often confuse him with someone around your age. As annoying as it is to hear the other's teasing comments, it does give him the opportunity to study you more.

You see the soft side of Scaramouche more than anyone. He aims to treat you better than his mother treated him. He does get annoyed at the others calling him soft, so you'll only see this side of him behind closed doors.

Sandrone can be a little nasty personality-wise, but being with her means you can play with her Automaton experiments. Unfortunately, she only allows you to play with the one that follows her, but that doesn't mean you can't sneak off to play with the others.

La Signora likes to tell you stories from both imagination and personal experiences. Out of all of them, she's the one that acts the most like a mother figure. She's the one to console you when you have a nightmare, entertain you when you're bored, and kiss your boo-boos when you trip running down the hallway. If anyone gives her nasty looks for this, wishing they were in her place, she's quick to point out their jealousy.

Pantalone will spoil you in any way he can, often sizing up his coworkers doing so. Oh, Pierro gave you a limited-edition dollhouse? Here's your own castle decorated with your favorite character--the only one of its kind! Signora gave you a blanket made of silk? Have a Navajo blanket with a unique pattern, he insists. He'll also push around and bully the others to get more time with you. He has no shame.

If Arlecchino isn't pursuing Columbina, they're bending to your every whim. Much like the archons, they'll retrieve anything you look at and offer it to you. Whenever you're cranky, they'll do everything they can 50 times over to make you happy again.

Tartaglia rivals Signora in terms of affection. He's the most likely to take you around the outside world--with a disguise, of course. You can't be out for long, however, as the animals will start to flock. Tartaglia often schedules playdates for you and Teucer; he's grown quite fond of you being in his family. Tartaglia's goal is to raise you to be strong in hopes you'll become a worthy opponent.

See here's the thing is that it's my genshin oc Irinei and Tartaglia. Like they are fucked just by proxy of Tartaglia's delusion usage alone. If he really does get redeemed and saved in Fontaine a la Wanderer, even if that happens, the delusion literally slowly sucks your life energy each time it's used. Tartaglia also admits that using Foul Legacy strained his body so like. Irinei is living a life of stress just by proxy of his boyfriend CONSTANTLY SUCKING HIS LIFE FORCE.

It's honestly something that makes me so aufhgjgmbm because like. Irinei is a Fatui runaway. They so desperately wanted to help him get out too but there's nothing he CAN do. Considering Pulcinella and the fact he was recruited in and just his sheer loyalty to the Tsaritsa - to flee would be to stab her in the back, and he could never - so Irinei just crumbles with the guilt while living with Diluc.

And then you know, they heal from the wounds the Fatui dug deep, the trauma from Dubois - another oc - during the first year of their time in Mondstadt - n then LIYUE HAPPENS. So THAT threw a fucking WRENCH into their mental health and then FONTAINE RIGHT AFTER. IRINEI CAN'T CATCH A BREAK.

It's slowburn.. . . . too . . . if ur so inclined to sniff them up . . . . . . . They need time to heal and adjust and grow to trust one another again, and grow past the fact that Irinei. Faked his death to flee. Ajax would take that as taking the other Harbringer's scheming ploys and take offense to such and Irinei would just be crushed under guilt all over again and it's just a massive mess ouuuu.

At the very least the actual relationship is more gentle. Two touch starved traumatized men kiss and I can't stop thinking about them. Here take art of them I made a while back of just. chittering

Oh also Irinei is half-adeptus. So uhm. A lot of worries about him dying much sooner than most of Irinei's loved ones (most of whom are mortal) and then the fact that Irinei will far, far outlive him. And he does Not Like to think about it but. Euu. Tartaglia has an easier time talking about it than him. Irinei has such a difficult time grasping that actually especially because the Fatui just did Nothing to help and y'know. Their father. The adeptus ? He uhm. Dies ! Not long after Irinei finally gets to meet him. (Ziyi was a good guy too ! Just didn't know Iri existed until he was 20. And then Dubois didn't like that he was back in the picture. Long story.)

But yeah. Their relationship is good but ultimately doomed from the start bc of delusions and sucking life force and irinei's stupidly long lifespan on top of Fatui troubles and in Ajax's case abyss trauma. Both of them have no shine in their eyes and they kiss I'm mashing them together like barbie dolls. I hope I explained cohesively I can keep goinf but I'm embarrassed and struggling w words

Traitors

Three times does Tartaglia call the traitor by his real name. Perhaps a single call back will keep the readhead alive.

Tartaglia definitely wasn't fit to become a Harbringer.

"Kunikuzushi."

And yet, there he was, in all his power and glory, looking at his former supervisor, pathetic and locked beind the bars in Dottore's private lab.

And Tartaglia was kneeling.

"I did not allow you to call me by that name. " Scaramouche growled, clenching his fists on the gray fabric of his dirty robes. He was too ashamed of his situation to look Childe in the eyes.

"Why not though? I think It sounds beautiful. You were the one who chose it, right? A Political figure wouldn't call her puppett-

"CAN YOU PLEASE JUST LEAVE?"

A heavy silence filled the lab, interrupted only by miserable weeps and cries of Dottore's other test subjects, all in their secure, yet cold, respective cells. Most of them were children.

Such a family guy like Childe shouldn't have become a Harbringer.

"I'm sorry, but I can't leave just yet. I'm gonna get you out first."

Kunikuzushi slowly raised his gaze at him, his beautiful, dark eyes wild, terrified, distrusting.

"You what-"

"Not just you. All of these other children as well." Tartaglia reassured. "You know, whenever I see them, I keep remembering my little brother, Teucer. I wouldn't want him to suffer like them, so... I'm giving them a chance. And you as well." He explained.

"... You must be stupid if you believe that this could possibly work."

Tartaglia laughed awkwardly, looking around the prison in distress. Was it really a good idea?

"I know I can't get them all out. They must be too physically and mentally exhausted to let me guide them out but..." He paused for a moment, feeling a tight squeeze somewhere deep inside his chest. "Hopefully they create enough chaos so we can help at least few of them escape..."

"WE? Are you expecting me to join you in this?"

"... Well, I was hoping that you would treat this as a way of returning the favor..."

Scaramouche furrowed his eyebrows, standing up and approaching the prison bars, until he could look the other man directly in the eyes.

"You are way to soft for a Harbringer, Tartaglia."

The ginger sent him and awkward smile, walking away to place his hand on a lever that was supposed to open every single prison cell in Dottore's lab.

"I'm absolutely aware of that... Scara."

"You are suprisingly good with children, Scaramouche!

A man once known as The Balladeer didn't look up at his companion, carefully closing the door to the small bedroom in which Dottore's former test subjects were sleeping.

"No I'm not. Stop calling me that. Shut up and go away. They're all gonna wake up and It's going to be your fault."

"I'm just suprised that someone who's supposed to be destroying countries also destroyed my heart by adorably nursing these children back to health. They seem to really like you. Teucer would probably love you as well."

"As If I don't have enough children to take care of" Scaramouche scoffed, looking away from the Harbringer's ocean blue eyes. "Besides, I'm to pathetic to be seen by anyone else right now."

An amused, yet slightly nervous laugh escaped the readhead's lips. "You, pathetic? Why? How?"

"... Your brother likes cool fighting toys, right?" Scaramouche mused, leaning his back against the wall. "I'm just a broken doll. Can't fight properly because I can't even tell where my goddamn on-switch is. And by getting used to a catalyst I lost my skill by fighting with blades too...

Despite the stupid metaphor that was so blizzare for Scaramouche to use, Tartaglia could understand.

"... Kunikuzushi, can you close your eyes for a moment? Please."

A heavy silence filled the room, and the Eleventh's breath stopped. It would be only natural if someone like The Balladeer distrusted him even after all this time. Especially after being called by his real name without his permission, again.

But Scaramouche sighed quietly and closed his eyes, his long, dark eyelashes adorning his pale, porcelain cheeks.

The former Harbringer felt the warmth of the other's hands on his. This feeling was... Suprisingly pleasant. But before Scaramouche was able to fully embrace this new sensation, it was already gone, replaced by something else - a cold, metalic, vessel of the corrupted power in his palms.

An Electro Dellusion.

Maybe Scara was too soft to become a Harbringer as well.

"... Kunikuzushi... Look at me, please. "

But the shorter man couldn't bare to look the other in the eyes. He knew what he would see anyways - beautiful, yet disturbingly empty eyes, looking directly at him despite large group of enemies aporoaching their hideout. A reassuring, smile, trying to convince Kunikuzushi that it's gonna be okay.

It was probably an empty smile. They both knew that It's never gonna be okay again.

"Just go already, you idiot! You can still get away with it. I can't. So Just take the kids and leave."

"Oh, so you suddenly care about me and the kids now?" Tartaglia's laugh was heavy, but also quiet, as he tried not to attract their aporoaching opponents. "Well, you're not the only one who cares, so sorry, I'm not leaving."

"I know you care, Tartaglia." Scaramouche hissed, gripping on his dual swords that Childe had taught him to operate. "You don't have to prove anything anymore, you dumbass!"

"... I CAN do that though, right?" The ginger smiled warmly, and Scaramouche almost forgot about the danger aprroaching them. "You know I like fighting. Besides, not only I'll be able to impress you, but I'll also get to be your hero again, right?"

Scaramouche scoffed, grabbing Tartaglia by the colar of his shirt and pulling him closer, his stormy eyes fixed on his, ocean blue ones.

"I don't need a hero, Ajax. "He whispered, before leaving a fast, chaste kiss on the other's dry lips. "I need a partner in crime. It's boring to be the only Traitor. So-"

"Don't I dare die on you." The redhead finished Scaramouche's command, grinning as he stole yet another kiss from the fellow Traitor's lips. "Sure, if you promise to call me "Ajax" more often."

"... I'll go evacuate the children."

"And I'll take that as a yes."

Despite the danger lying ahead, neither Scaramouche nor Tartaglia felt fear when one took the fighting stance, and the other ran to the old bedroom where the children were hiding.

And even in Ajax's case, the thrill of battle was only a bonus. All that he cared about was the fact that Kunikuzushi's barrier was broken.

And with that barrier gone, he has to be the one to keep his loved one safe instead.

The door burst open.

the nature of kazuha's ed is self-hatred and agility

traveling all alone used to be a calmer, a soother for the samurai but as he wandered along the forests and cliffs of liyue, his resentment and loneliness grew

he blames himself for his friend's death and it eats up at him badly, no pun intended - he begins to cut back on the rations he brings, goes off into nowhere and chooses to be alone

before he met the traveller, his disorder had reached an all time low, barely eating more than 300 cals a day (although it was hard to count in this world) he would get careless with his sword and accidentally cut himself all the time, but convince himself he needed to keep doing this to be nimble and ride among the wind

kazuha's story is quite sad in this sense, nobody but the traveller notices his odd and concerning eating habits when they first saw each other on the ship and how he seemed thinner every time they saw him,,,

he would wander through the trees, trying to distract himself from the pains in his knees and his head and everywhere, because oh god it was everywhere all the time from walking - one day he passed out in the forest and was taken to a healer in Qingce Village where they expressed concern :(

- "i'm not good enough yet" this is a constant mantra for him, he wants to ride the wind, he wants to get closer to his friend that he failed

- he's very very good at hiding his self-loathing, at the very least it seems like him being humble!

- he gets dizzy very easily :(

❂ who knows: no one explicitly, but pretty much the whole knights of favonius knows, everyone's worried

the nature of kaeya's ed is drinking and depression

maybe the build up of everything? maybe the tension between him and his brother? no one really knows what happened to the flirty boisterous cavalry captain, but he manages to keep up the persona even when people see him blackout drunk at the angel's share, eyes numb and dark

his eating disorder started really kicking off when he fell ill and had to step away from his position for a few weeks,,, this brought back intense feelings of self loathing, he would lay in bed and think about how worthless he was to the other citizens and how they never really knew him - not the real him from Khaenri'ah

he started drinking heavily, his personas switching like night and day, the happy, flirty Kaeya during the day would do his duties, although tiredly sometimes and he would go home, go to the bar and drink

drink until he couldn't see his own hands in front of him, nor his brother's defeated and worried eyes over the glass he was pouring --stumble home and throw up- a vicious endless cycle that would always end up with him in his home either binge eating anything he could find or laying in bed numb

listening to the rain patter on the window above the captain's headboard was one of his favorite pastimes alone at home with only his thoughts to accompany him

- he thought he was alone, he would come to work in the morning and be his same old self, obvlivous to the scene he had caused the day before

- people worried, people told jean to talk to him, but jean had tried and he would never listen

the nature of razor's ed is boulders and shame

he had never known how eating things that weren't meant to be eaten was wrong or dangerous at all, after all, wasn't he raised by wolves? eating rocks, albeit small ones is completely fine! as well as hair, wood...

when it started he can't really remember, just the insatiable hunger for that boulder and it only stopped when drops of red spread out on the granite and he was pulled away by sharp teeth on his collar,,, but it didn't stop there, he nips at grass and dirt and collects it to eat later, late at night only to throw up, retching blood and splinters

his body is different, he knows that and is ashamed

his stomach can't handle it, he can't handle it, but the hunger won't stop

- bennett constantly offers him cooked meat instead of the plank he notices razor had picked up along the way

- everyone worries about his health, they worry about the scratches all over him on his tongue but they don't know how to help him :(

the nature of childe's ed is pride and control

a lot of eating disorders tend to center around control right? well that's exactly what childe's isn't,,, although that's what he tries to have :(

one hard night and he was alone, eating everything until he was full and then kept going, he couldn't seem to stop and it practically broke him, a harbringer of the Fatui losing control like this, he felt pathetic

and so it continued, every time he had a hard day. which began to feel like more and more often, it seemed--- he would feel himself being drawn to food and before he knew it, his wallet was thinner and he would come back asking for more refills and he could afford it but everytime it would hit him when he went back home

zhongli noticed, he did

he thought himself poorly when it began to show on childe's physique and he noted it, he noticed how defeated his friend looked after a bad day, almost like he had resigned himself to something -- he noticed how hard he pushed himself the day after, aggressive in his taunts, almost inviting the geo archon to batter him into blackness

and so he asked him

and childe told

- childe's pride kept him from realizing it was a problem, to him it was just what he had to do to keep in control

- he stopped flaunting his body, he stopped flashing his bright smile during battle, and it definitely showed :(

Meet Joliot, Horsewoman of Pestilence, and Harbringer of Health. Also, the youngest of the Four, and you've met War and Famine already.

Just like Xocotlalli, her changes between Pestilence and Health are just cosmetic, and does so in order to make Eryn feel better about her own changes. The sisters are supportive that way. Unlike Xoco (and Aysha, Death), Joliot doesn't keep a constant schedule of when she is working as Pestilence and when she's working as Health, so the changes come unexpectedly depending on how much she's doing (to be fair, anything that can cure you, can also kill you depending on quantity, so that's why)

Unlike her sisters, Joliot has no real "human" job. Instead, she spends her days in her apartment -or down at the coffee shop, trying to figure out a way to con new employees into giving her coffee-, doing different experiments. These experiments tend to end up in an explosion, something that is really not appreciated by her neighbors, in particular, the Season Sisters as some of her plants are too delicate to sustain the noise and movement that said explosions cause. Still, Joliot tries very, very hard not to cause the explosions. She may like them a lot -She owns every single Mythbuster dvd- but she understands they're not good for living things.

From time to time, she does have animal test subjects, but never with something that could hurt the animals, and, since she can actually talk to them? All of them are volunteers. She also has a pet Guinea Pig, not very originally named Guinea Pig, who has been with her more or less since Ancient Greece and on occasion will act as her conscience.

Joliot doesn't see much difference between both her jobs, as she sees both as science. Sure, when she's Health in general, she's trying to find cures and things that will help people, but she knows that accidents can happen and that's when Pestilence comes to play. Once again, she is always the same person, only changing her look because of her solidarity (and frank admiration) for older sister Eryn. The difference between her and Xocotlalli is that Joliot is not conscious of when she changes, so sometimes she may start a sentence as Health with her bright red hair and finish it as Pestilence, with her white smoky hair. It's usually Guinea Pig who alerts her to those changes.

She does feel bad for when she unleashes plagues on Earth -since she was sure she would only have to do it when it came to the actual Apocalypse that has been scheduled back so many times, she's like, 99.9% sure it will never happen- but to be fair? Not all of them are her fault. Sure, sometimes it's because she falls asleep on her lab and she and safety lab procedures aren't in speaking terms, but the last one was because Aysha startled her so so not her fault! Please don't yell at her.

Joliot loves chocolate, coffee and sugar. Unfortunately for everyone else, all of them have the side effect of making her thrice as hyper so pretty much every grocery store and coffee shop in a 500 miles radius from the Building has instructions not to give her any chocolate, coffee or sugar. In short, she will walk 500 miles for her coffee fix. Or figure out the way to make her own.

She has a lot of admiration for her older sisters, but is a bit afraid of Aysha as Aysha yells at her (after all, her Plagues do tend to kill Aysha's humans so... yeah), and terrified of Eryn when Eryn is Peace, while loves War dearly. In fact, Eryn as War is her favorite sister even if she won't let her have chocolate either!

I adore drawing Joliot in both of her facets. Her palette as Health is so fun, but she as Pestilence is adorable too. And her throne has wheels, which disrupts the meetings of the horsewomen a lot since she goes "WEEE!" on it.

Pretty much. He is the first to realize that the archipelago is tuning into Prowl, mood, health, etc. So make Prowl healthy, make Prowl happy and the archipelago thrives. It's easier to make him healthy than it is happy. He's a morose mech, not that Jazz blames him.

The islands turn absolutely breathtaking when Prowl has his creations. He's happy.

The treats and surprises Jazz brings him keeps him happy.

I want to know whether it’s just Alt!Calliope that can sense said thoughts, if it’s just Roxy being over-emotional, or if any other observer would be able to pick such thoughts up and it’s just a mater of proxy-imity.)

I thought the point of this was to look like a completely passive observer and not tip people off other than via the black eyes, but you do you, I guess-- if that’s intentional.  Nice gazing out through the fourth wall, though. I’m sure Jade would be/is vaguely proud, knowing the narrative resonance, here, given her own fourth wall breaking shenanigans. 

I blame time and void interactions. Also Dave being an insufferable prick. Good to know, regarding Roxy and their feelings toward Dave, though.

Is Dirk going to literally shoot him in the arse?   That would be horribly ironic, and probably quite crippling to Joke Jake’s reputation and/or the power of his endorsement, if so.   Semi-related:   I do sortof understand Dave’s belief/concern with regards to the importance of this event.    What I want to know is why there are not thousands of Daves running around, all helping the campaign and being available to deal with other important tasks.

This really reminds me of Equius and Nepeta, and that is sortof cute. I almost can’t stand it.  Honestly, this relationship is actually quite similar, except Alt!Calliope is much more dominant in the relationship than Nepeta was. Also Dirk probably has more potential to damage things than Equius did (other than way out of the temporal frame of that moirallegiance, as part of Lord English--- and even then, Nepeta ironically acted as a counter to his muscle-bound rage, albeit way after much of the damage had already been done [thanks, Davesprite {albeit, unrelated to the matter at hand, this relationship was probably why Davepettasprite^2 was destined in such a way to handle Lord English, in addition to the prophesies surrounding Dave dealing with him, Davesprite being the first one to get Caledfwlch, and the flying off into the sun prophesy (which was aided greatly by Seppucrow, the true hero of the story)}]).    I guess that makes this relationship relatively more important, maybe.

So fricking wonderful and adorable.   I do wonder why there are not that many consorts, though. Maybe they are just too distracted and hyperactive to have much in the way of drive to participate in politics.  The humans I sortof vaguely understand, albeit I’d have thought that more might show up specifically for Jake’s speech, assuming that it was announced beforehand.

Dirk feels predictably antagonized, and is lashing out. I have a feeling that he’d intended to do something major before all this control was taken from him, but this will probably make it worse. Hmm.

Heh.   I don’t think that he means to “pump her full of daylight,” at the moment, so this is still funny instead of terrifying.

Huh. Dave already knew about Calliope’s gender and is chill with it. Neat.

Oh. Umm... while I’m sure that he does not need that in order to target Jade’s body if he intends to do so, that is quite foreboding. He is indeed quite capable of tricking people into doing things, at times, isn’t he?

More serious than being mind controlled by a space witch with bad intentions who has mind powers stolen from all the major players of her species, huh?  (I seriously still wonder how the fight against her went so relatively-seemingly easily, and what happened with her curse.  Maybe it only transfers in LE’s proximity, or something. )      ... Also, it wasn’t entirely just a joke, Roxy, geeze.

Thaaat’s what happens when your world is under a corrupting influence that is twisting the fabric of reality to their whim.  (The question is: Is this Dirk or Calliope?  Does she really have the right to judge him for his actions, if he really is expressing free will in doing so?   Yes, yes she does, because he is strongly subverting the will of others, and justice in Paradox Space demands some sort of counterbalancing force.  If his excess relevance as the Narrator is the only cost he faces, rather than dying a Just Death, he should feel lucky.)

***peals of cherubic laughter peal out in the background***    Random reminder:  Angels (in Homestuck) are terrifying demons that should be taken as harbringers of the apocalypse. Alt!Calliope has already played this job once along with Lord English. Is her presence outside canon an ill omen by definition?  (I am not sure Calliope the younger entirely counts, given her special circumstances, by the way. Hard to say.)

Beautiful. It’s almost like he’s an open PAGE of Hope, waiting to be written! 

This is a somewhat wise impression.  But it’s complicated, and great power means great responsibility. Especially when the nuclear genie has already been let out of the bottle on account of someone’s great ambition.  (Note: I actually find Jane’s impulse to rule over her creation to be a reasonable one to have, all things considered. I am not judging her negatively for this. I am just not 100% certain that it is the right path to go on before they get a few dozen more years to wise them up, or maybe a few centuries.   Wisdom is a very important thing for leadership, and it comes with age!   Of course, experience also helps, but it might be useful to have some sort of smaller-scale experimentation with politic--  oh, wait, wasn’t she made a mayor at some point, according to the credits?  That really hasn’t been emphasized in the epilogue at all, but probably should be more heavily considered.    It’s still not enough experience for me to feel confident in her, but it’s something. Hmm.)

I mean... I can hear you. I thought your awareness was still there. I guess maybe having your position of control taken away from you might have sapped that as well, maybe.   And yes, it is very interesting, indeed. Now, please put down the gun and try to negotiate more reasonably and in a more civilized fashion than the mistaken cowboy diplomacy idea you’re now engaging in. I will give Dirk some slack insofar as he is still getting used to her identifying as such, but he is sortof making a fool of himself by lashing out at Alt!Callie like that. It’s rather irrational, and doesn’t reflect very well on his character. It makes him out as being rather petulant and inflexible when it comes to identity matters.

It is somewhat rude of him to laugh, but I am almost tempted to laugh too, specifically at the fact that this is Alt!Calliope confirming emphatically the beauty of their other version in Roxy’s eyes. It has a sort of ironic tension and silliness to it. Possibly some pride.        I therefore cannot entirely blame him for his laughter, for I do not know whether that is what he is laughing at, or if he’s laughing at the idea of finding an alien skull monster beautiful (which she really is).

It is sortof nice to see this encouragement from Dirk, albeit it is probably laced with irony and sarcasm.  Knowing one’s self and admitting/accepting the things one feels is incredibly important to a person’s health! It feels brotherly of him.

I wonder if Roxy actually feels that way (that it is none of her business), or if it’s Alt!Calliope’s somewhat cold (and sarcastically-directed) interpretation of things. Hmm.

A very important question to ask for someone who is dealing with their own identity issues and/or worries about their friends judging them for them. This is really all there is to say on the matter.

That is a complicated question.  The answer is this:  Identity is only partially self-deterministic.  You can certainly struggle and hope and wish for certain things, indulge in certain behaviors, and see what rubs off on you, or what you feel right about, but in all honesty, you are who you are.    This CAN change over time, and that is something that most people don’t think about. To say you “change your mind” about “the person you wanna be” is not an accurate statement: you don’t necessarily choose anything at all, other than whether you want to actually embrace who you are and/or are becoming, and if you will actually tell anyone about it.  In that sense: whether it is too late to change your mind about who you say and outwardly project you are?---  no, it is not too late.  However, it can potentially be pretty fricking confusing to people, and some friends may not be able to handle it, especially if they have pretty deeply imbedded themselves in your own journey/identity, and/or anchored themselves in it as part of their own.   This can cause them to be pretty put off, and potentially to have difficulty maintaining their relationship with you. As such, in summary:   one should be careful and always very much self-reflective about identity issues.  The choice to come out with any sort of change or difference is not an easy one, and someone should not be blamed for either side they fall upon--- whether they want to keep who they are a secret and/or for how long, or if they want to project it to the world (unless they are really violent about it and/or attempt to shame someone/force themselves upon another person as a “necessary” thing to do for their own growth/impulses or whathaveyou: that is just abusive and wrong).

No. While there is some degree of social capital involved and thus you should attempt to time things properly and take the needs of others into account (which means you have no right to get upset at them if they don’t react a certain way and/or are too involved with whatever is going on in their life right then to grapple with your assuredly stunning revelation), one does not owe their friends any sort of bombshell moment, and any sort of desire for one and/or push on someone else’s part for identity-related drama and/or revelation is actually what is greedy.

***shrug***     I guess it’s funny insofar as it has psychological humor wrapped into it and it makes the phraseology more cutesy (thus more approachable, I guess), but it’s not mind-blowing or anything.

And that’s okay. Someone can be casual about these things and not make it a federal fricking issue if they don’t want to.  It’s also okay to have repeated revelations and/or constantly wrestle with who you actually are. It’s not something to be embarrassed about or paranoid with in a social respect, especially in a world with numerous different species of alien humanoids that have different and somewhat conflicting types of identities and drives.  Almost indisputably, that should make identity issues less of a socially big deal.

If Family #1

This is something I want to try. Basically it's how two characters from different series interact if they were family. I'll be choosing a family from one series and a single character from another.

This one will be my choice and the rest will be randomized. So let's start with a family whose known to get into bizarre situations. The Joestars! And the character for today will be...

Danny Fenton/Phantom!

Our favorite halfa teen hero being with the Joestars is going to be so interesting. I'll only be doing parts 1-5 since I don't know much about the other 3 Jojos. So let's start! Now for this it'll be split into two which is before secret and after!

Jonathan- Before Secret

-quite concern with Danny's health since he barely sleeps at night

- would protect Danny from bullies and teach him how to stand up for himself

- Danny would defend Jonathon from Dio and using a little bit of his ghost powers to foil Dio's schemes

- Danny would get angry at George's mistreatment of Jonathan for a single mistake

- Jonathan thinks Danny is his dog reborn as a human for how much Danny cares and protects him

-Danny would go ghost if Jonathan is in a situation he can't handle(though Danny would change not in anyone's sight)

-Jonathan feels worried for Danny and tries to find what he's hiding. Danny trusts Jonathan that he will tell him about being a halfa.

After secret

-Jonathan easily accepts Danny despite him being half dead and gets defensive if someone tries to harm him

-Danny would show Jonathan some of his powers for Jonathan to document since the man is curious about Danny's ghostly nature

-Jonathan would stay close to Danny during hot summers because Danny is as cold as a tundra and Danny wouldn't mind keeping his brother cool.

-Danny will let out a Ghostly Wail if he sees Jonathan dangerously hurt or almost mentally broken. Don't fuck with Danny when it comes to protecting Johnathon.

-Jonathan would break every bone in someone's body if they hurt Danny in any way. The same applies to Jonathan when it comes to protecting Danny.

-Jonathan will ask Speedwagon to watch over Danny if something ever happened to him. (Everyone can trust Speedwagon.)

-Danny and Jonathan will easily rub off on each other when it comes to their habits. Johnathon would sometimes do witty banter in battle and Danny will pose out of habit.

-Danny ain't gonna let Jonathan die. Vampire head is no match for this ghostly protector.

Joseph- Before Secret

-Danny would be a bit uncomfortable around Joseph due to mishaps involving energetic buff men but will easily warm up to Joseph.

-Both will tell each other terrible puns 80% of the time to the ire of a lot of people.

-Joseph would try to encourage Danny to get a girlfriend but accidentally humiliates himself to Danny's amusement.

-If Danny has a secret then Joseph will do everything in his power to find out. Though if it's something very painful than Joseph will give Danny time.

-Danny will help Joseph keep his temper in check and Joseph will help Danny become more confident and clever.

-Joseph will beat the crap out of anyone who tries to bully Danny. Danny will defend Joseph when push comes to shove.

After secret

-Joseph would want to see everything Danny could do as a ghost.

-Both will go on a pranking spree much to the ire of everyone in New York.

-Both are a comedy duo in battle as they annoy their opponents with witty banter and terrible jokes.

-Danny will take pictures of Joseph in drag for blackmail. Joseph will have pictures of Danny when his powers mess up for blackmail as well.

-Danny wouldn't let any poison rings stay in Joseph whether by removing them or blasting anyone who tries.

-Danny will tell Lisa Lisa off for forcing Joseph to do the Hell Pillar Climb. Again don't mess with an angry ghost.

-Danny will save Caesar and Wamuu to keep Joseph from having a breakdown if they died.

-Kars is utterly screwed if Danny sees Joseph missing any limbs. An Ultimate Being can't do shit against an angry halfa.

-Both will help each other deal with PTSD.

Jotaro/Star Platinum- Before secret

(Danny can see and interact with Stands due to his ghostly half even if the Stands haven't manifested. Being around Danny will cause Stands to manifest faster.)

-Danny will be really uncomfortable with Jotaro's personality at first though Jotaro will try his best to not make Danny uncomfortable.

-Danny would think he's going crazy for he'll see a sihoulette of a purple man(Star Platinum) following Jotaro around even though Jotaro is unaware of the man's presence.

-Star will be incredibly surprise that Danny could see him even though he haven't been fully manifested.

-Danny will think Star is a manifestation of Jotaro's bottled up emotions and becomes more at ease being around him.

-Jotaro will notice Danny acting strange and try to figure out what's wrong.

-Fangirls will never even get close to Jotaro ever again because Danny will radiate a ghostly aura that scare the crap out of them.

-Danny turning into Phantom allows Star to fully manifest faster.

After secret

-Jotaro wouldn't be bothered by Danny being half ghost while Star will be completely enthusiastic at how unique Danny is.

-Danny would make charms of marine animals out of ghostly ice for Jotaro while Jotaro would make something for Danny with Star's help.

-Danny would prank Jotaro with his ghostly powers whether be cloning himself or making it snow in Jotaro's room. Jotaro will get back at Danny with twice the effort.

-Danny would go berserk if he sees someone treating Jotaro like shit(Steely Dan level) and Jotaro will get pissed if the same thing happens to Danny.

-Both would be more open with each other. Jotaro would become a bit more witty and Danny becoming more serious.

-Danny is the only Jotaro would allow to wear his hat.

-Both would decimate Dio with no effort because Dio won't be able to handle a Ghostly Wail Time Stop combo.

Josuke/Crazy Diamond- Before secret

-Danny would easily warm up to Josuke with his goofy yet kind nature.

-Josuke would be protective around Danny since someone like Danny gets easily bullied.

-Crazy Diamond would be surprised about Danny being able to interact with him and Danny's strange powers.

-Danny would help Josuke overcome his fear of turtles and Josuke would help Danny be more open to people.

-Crazy Diamond would try to help Danny whether be fixing broken possessions or just giving the halfa hug when he's feeling down. Danny likes Crazy Diamond's hugs.

-Danny would reveal his secret if Josuke and him were trapped in a dire situation.

After secret

-Josuke would easily accept Danny and tell him nothing will change his opinion on Danny.

-Josuke and Danny would goof around with Danny's powers whether be tossing snowballs, parody stories or shows involving ghosts or take flights with Danny carrying Josuke.

-Both of them would swap hairstyles for a day much to the shock of everyone.

-Danny would practice learning to heal others with his power since Josuke tends to get hurt a lot.

-No bomb will keep Danny from beating the crap out of Kira for making Josuke suffer.

Giorno/Golden Experience- before secret

-Both would immediately get along with each other from Giorno's charm to Danny's kindness.

-Golden Experience would be intrigued by Danny's strange nature.

-Danny would terrorize Giorno's parents for making him suffer until they flee Italy.

-Golden Experience would follow Danny during times when Giorno is safe to be left alone.

-Danny wouldn't be afraid of going ghost to protect Giorno even at the cost of his secret.

After secret

-Giorno would be unbothered by Danny being half ghost even going as far to call him an guardian from heaven. Golden Experience will consider Danny unique for being both of life and death.

-Giorno and Danny would share information about their powers so they work better together and create astounding combos and plans on the fly.

-Danny isn't going to let Abbacchio treat Giorno like dirt. Mr. Goth is going to learn that Danny doesn't play nice when it comes to his family.

-Sorry Prosciutto but you're completely useless with Danny around. Danny would freeze the entire train to protect Giorno and their friends.

-Danny and Golden Experience would experiment with GE's Life giving powers and Danny's Overshadow ability. Giorno would wake up to an army of ghostly Stand made animals and be so confused while Danny is whistling in the corner.

-Danny won't let anyone of Giorno's friends or gang die. He'll literally take them to the Ghost Zone if it would keep them safe.

-Diavolo would stand no chance against the combined might of Danny and Giorno. Golden Experience Requiem and Danny Phantom will make sure like Harbringers of Life and Death.

-Golden Experience Requiem would speak a lot more with Danny in secret until Danny convinces him to not hide his sentience from Giorno.

-Danny will tell Giorno to seek out his heritage and would have his back if something goes wrong. Giorno is glad he has someone like Danny by his side.

A new pitch and new design to “Harbinger, the last stand”   (part 1)

(Long post, be warned)

What is the game?

Harbinger, the last stand is a 2-D puzzle based plat-former, with combat and adventure.

What is the Game-Play like?

what kind of puzzles are there?

puzzles will consist of challenges like matching frequencies in wavelengths.    

Ex.

the waves will need to be the same to complete the challenge.

Another challenge is a pipe puzzle, meaning that the player has to get a current through a maze with pieces of “piping” that guide the current through to where it needs to finish to complete the challenge.

Ex.

What is the platforming like?

The platforming will have an arcade feel with each character having their own special abilities that will help the overcome obstacles.

What are those abilities?

The abilities are special to each of the four playable characters, these abilities are specific to traversal in the platforming portions of the game-play.

Blair Anomi: Has the ability to double jump and get through/to spaces that the other three are unable to.

Ayada Guren: Has the ability to summon and interact with plant life that can be used to lift up an obstacle blocking the way of a doorway that is too heavy to push away and is unable to be climbed over dug under or went around.

Lamar Lynch: only one who Has the ability to interact with electronic based objects/devices that impede progress. Ex. a generator that needs to be powered to open a gate.

Zane Blaze: Has the ability to use his incredible strength and fire powers to smash and burn objects that impede progress. Ex. Slamming down on a locked trap-door

What is the combat like?

Combat will have a mixture of up close melee combat and ranged weapon combat. Players all have 100 health as maximum health and taking damage reduces your health. If you die you use a life, you start out with 3 extra lives. Every time an enemy is damaged (if they are not heavy enemies) they are staggered slightly with normal attacks and heavy attacks stun them for a short time.

Each character has a special melee weapon with it’s special properties.

Lamar’s melee weapon: A staff with medium attack speed dealing a moderate area of damage able to hit multiple enemies at once.

Zane’s melee weapon: Hot heavy chains that are slow to swing for a large area of damage able to hit many enemies at once.

Ayada’s melee weapon: vines that shoot out of her arms that stab/smack etc. enemies in a moderate area of damage able of hitting multiple enemies at once.

Blair’s melee weapon: Dual blades that have a fast attack speed but at the cost of low area damage, able to hit a few enemies at once.

What is the ranged combat like?

The ranged combat consists of two parts, abilities, and gun-play.

Abilities?

The abilities for the four characters use “Ability points” or AP, it is limited in uses but slowly regenerate to be re-used. The abilities for the four characters are are as follows:

Ayada: upon use of her ability she launches a storm of razor sharp blades of grass and thorns that covers a medium area of effect, stunning and damaging enemies for a short period of time.

Blair: Upon use of her ability Blair rains down a storm of ice and snow damaging and slowing down enemies in a large area of effect.

Lamar: Upon using his ability, Lamar summons lightning from his staff to fire a devastating bolt of electricity in a flat direct line having a small area of effect, requiring the player to properly aim before using the ability.

Zane: Upon using his ability Zane will slam the ground with his chains causing the ground within the chain’s range to catch fire and damage any enemies standing either in the way of the strike or the fire afterwards to be damaged and have a burning effect after the flames on the ground dissipate.

What about the gun-play?

Guns are only picked up from enemies that have them and are dropped when defeated, in order to use them the weapon needs to be picked up from a defeated enemy that carried the gun. Guns also have very limited ammo before they must be dropped.

The available guns are:

Pistols: Medium range medium firing low damage weapons with low knock-back.

Revolvers: medium range, slow firing, high damage weapons with medium knock-back.

SMGs: Fully automatic fast firing, low damage, and low knock-back.

Shotguns: short range, slow firing, very high damage weapons with heavy-knock-back.

sniper rifles: Long range, slow firing, high damage, heavy knock-back weapons.

Assault rifles: fully automatic with medium fire rate, medium range, medium damage, with medium knock-back.

LMGs: High rate of fire, with medium range, medium damage and heavy knock-back.

How does the player progress?

The player in Harbringer The Last Stand, progresses by defeating enemies and gaining XP, but not only by defeating enemies but completing levels and areas. Every time the player levels up, they gain a "Skill Point" to spend on their skills as they please, and skill points are plentiful.

What are the skills?

Strength- (Increase in how much damage the player deals to enemies. Increased effectiveness for every skill point invested)

Armor-(Reduction of damage taken from enemies. Increased reduction for every Skill point invested)

Elemental-(reduction in "Elemental Points" EP used per elemental move. Increased effectiveness and Increased total of EP for every skill point invested)

Luck-(Increased chance for better currency to drop from enemies defeated. Increased percentage for every skill point invested)

Skills are not the only way for players to improve the characters. The player has access to vendors, like a  safeguard vendor that provides stat boosting armor they equip in their inventory. (The player does not have to physically wear the armor equipped. option to hide armor sections like Head, Torso, Arms, Legs, and Mark.) The player can purchase a weapon upgrade at the "Blacksmith" giving the player's weapon a damage boost, or for a higher price, receive a special buff to the weapon. The player can also stack up on purchasing health and EP items at the consumables vendor.

Purchasing items?

Currency: Players will gain currency for every enemy defeated within a level. Players only need to walk over the currency to obtain it so whenever the player does obtain it, it goes into the player's wallet. The currency can vary from pennies, dimes and dollars, gold, diamonds etc... The player will have complete freedom to use their money on what they have unlocked so far in the game.

What is the story?

 The story tells of 4 main characters (of witch you play) and their stories of discrimination and racism. The world they live in is closed minded especially to their race. Based in a Modern day setting but with sci-fi fantasy elements mixed into the world. Loosely based on earth in the near future. Within a dystopian city where crime is at a constant high, and a government that have a heavy dis-taste for the minority race called the "Anthros". The Anthros are a race of people like humans in figure and behavior but with animal-is-tic physical qualities. Officially they are anthropomorphic animals or "Anthros" for short. Often said to be the "inferior race" that if a "natural cleansing" of the Anthros would be favorable. The Anthros have always followed the laws that blatantly violated their natural rights. After many years under this oppression they finally will stand up for their rights, they are no longer going to hide away and take this, so they are rightfully pissed off and will not stop until they get their rights and have justice for them and the lives lost due to injustice, inequality and police brutality.

The story has a heavy tone especially as you learn more about the main characters’ backstories and why they are the way that they are.

The four main characters are:

Blair Anomi: Blair was born as a mixed child, her mother being a full Anthro and her father being a full human. She was raised as a good child until as the family was driving home they were pulled over, in witch the mother was driving. The police officer was very discriminatory and Blair's mother knew she was wrongly pulled over but still complied to the officer's orders and reached into her purse for her wallet and that was when the officer promptly screamed for her to drop the weapon, she was confused and looked at the officer with her wallet in hand that the officer "mistook" for a firearm and shot her dead in the car, without regard for Blair whom was sitting in the back seat witnessing her mother's murder. This event caused her father to go into a deep depression, falling into the numbing pain of alcohol. Blair still loves her father dearly, but is the only human in her life she will ever trust in her life until she can make a change, and get justice for her mother. With any means necessary.

Zane Blaze: Zane was born different, this wasn't a good thing unfortunately for zane. He was an anthro and the family he was born into hated anthros, with a rich ancestry of humans only. With this being the case Zane grew up into a very abusive family. Throughout Zane's early years he was small, he was made fun of by his peers because he was often the smallest and weakest one, and that is the biggest reason why he loses his temper so easily. One day when he was older he discovered that he can hide his natural anthro body with an ability that made him almost undeniably human looking, so he used this power to run away and never go back to his abusive home, after some time he went to University where he met Lamar, they both had very opposite personalities but ended up getting to know each-other since they were roommates and all. Lamar and Zane end up being best friends, and Lamar helped teach Zane how to deal with his sensitive temper towards his appearance, although he needs more work, he was able to get better at taking insults and not getting into fights. Zane then grew in size, he grew up to 7'0" tall in a short time and gained a new level of confidence. Lamar still makes sure to keep him in check, especially with Zane's temper. (the best he can anyway)

Lamar Lynch: Lamar grew up with a normal life, studied hard, stood up straight, and had a great family. Lamar loved his younger brother Zack, who always followed him with a wide smile. One day Lamar went hiking with his younger brother Zack. During their hike it started to get very windy and rain hard, so Lamar finds an area where they could sit and wait for the rain to stop, but the rain doesn't look like it would. Lamar tries get inside the opening and turns back to help zack, but zack is too scared to move because of the storm. Lamar urges his brother reaching out so he can pull him along and inside, but zack stumbles on the lose edge and is too scared to move. Lamar steps out to get Zack when suddenly lightning strikes the two of them in witch Zack dies, but through unknown means saves Lamar and this is how he obtained his electricity/lightning powers.

Ayada Guren: Ayada Guren was born with a family that could easily pass off as human, her family weren't based off of animals but plants. Ayada grew up with a love for everybody regardless of race, if Ayada wanted to do anything to help stop this discrimination she would grow flowers everywhere with a message of peace and being able to coexist peacefully. Ayada knows because she grew up with her best friend Blair. They always played together, and Ayada would always give Blair flowers. Ayada always has Blair's back, even more so after the tragedy of Blair's mother's death.

Heather is a harbringer of Health. she's born with it. she's partly burnt, she has been like that since birth, her dad was also a harbringer of Health and her mom is a burnt (the ones you see in zone 1), her dad would have been burnt if he could( but harbringers can't go burnt) she also has a little brohter who is 8 years younger then her and sadly never met his father. she grew up in a file that was very hostile to burnts, the  people there would capture them and either kill or do experiments on them. they could leave that file when it was purified, with the help of another harbringer (who used that crack shit Reinzi used to save ghost after peace is defeated)she is now in a way better place, where the people aren't so bad to burnts. Heather still is very distrusful of non-burnts.

 she isn't allowed to go outside very much. her mother is worried something bad would happen to Heather or that she would do bad things to others. Heater is*REALLY sensitive to fire/meat/heat, even eating meat could cause her to go partly full-mode. luckily she now gets food from a kind ambundance in another zone so she has a safe source of food.when she gets to go outside she likes to take photographs or make  little drawings of the surroundings. she is particularly intrested in plastic based stuff, even though it can be hurtfull to her. she absolutely hate fire because it reminds of traumatic mermories or makes her go full mode, something she utterly despises

she's normally very shy and not energetic and not the type of person to make jokes (but when she does make jokes they are VERY dark) get’s mad easily and doesn’t like physical contact. Health on the other hand is very energetic and makes jokes all the time and doesn't take anyting serious, has no concept of personal, is odly kind and likes to hurt people for fun because they are “sick”

this is Luna Harbringer my friend’s oc! all the art above is hers as is her backstory and traits

she is in the same world as Nik, and for more info on their backstory and more world related stuff see the post under this

Luna is a dark mage and specializes in potions and ranged spells. her main weapon is a staff, however when she really needs it she can summon a scythe.

Luna’s problem is she has a split personality disorder (again I am not an expert so please don’t get mad my friend thought it was cool) so while she is usually very shy and kind, when in stressful situations she switches to a much more violent and deranged persona

she had a bad family life, her parents were very distant and not the most loving of people. after they died she felt really guilty because she was so relieved. she carries that guilt wherever she goes, and her inability to make decisions that are better for herself and her health stems from that fact. she is always second guessing herself and that has led to many problematic situations that could’ve been avoided

Nik and Luna have been friends ever since Lord Fintan burnt their village to the ground, effectively orphaning the both of them, as well as killing most of their childhood friends and neighbors. they work usually as a adventuring duo, and are both high ranking members in the Alinala Kingdom Wide Guild, more commonly known as ‘The Guild’

while they usually work together exclusively, they recently joined forces with Lukas and Zane, after discovering Lukas was the lost crown prince and vowed to help him regain his throne
