The Sims Prom to Remember: Poses, Lots, Decor & Must-Have Mods
Graduation season is in full swing – ready to throw an unforgettable prom for your sims? If you've got high schoolers in your game, now's the perfect time to plan their big school celebration. This article has everything you might need: you'll find solutions whether you want to fix game quirks, add beautiful details, or just throw an awesome party without the hassle.
Let's start with some super useful mods.
Graduation Gown Recolor by buggy starship
Finally someone fixed that weird color choice by Sims 4 developers – now graduation gowns perfectly match the caps, without that awkward blue tint. If this mismatch bothered you too, this mod solves it, with separate versions available for male and female sims.
Seasonable School Events by @sonozakisisterssims4
This mod makes school events like prom and exams more rare and meaningful in The Sims 4. Instead of annoying you every week, they now happen once per season, and you can adjust the interval to match your gameplay pace (from 2 to 12 weeks). It also fixes the bug with weekly repeats – prom will actually be that long-awaited event, not just another calendar item.
Alternatively, you can install another mod from this creator that lets you schedule school events yourself.
No Prom Invites from Random Acquaintances by @sonozakisisterssims4
Only truly close sims will invite your graduates to prom: romantic partners need at least 30 relationship points, while friendly invites only come from best friends. Perfect for those wanting realistic relationships in-game!
No Prom Invite hurts only couples, besties and significant romance level sims by @sonozakisisterssims4
Finally realistic emotions! Now only those who truly matter to your sim will get offended: best friends, romantic partners. No more absurd hurt feelings from random acquaintances who can't even remember your graduate's name. Just install the mod and enjoy stress-free graduation!
No Random Formal At Graduation by @lysssimpatico
At last no more principal and teachers showing up to graduation in ridiculous random outfits! This mod forces all ceremony guests to appear in proper formal wear you've selected for them. Now graduation will look truly ceremonial, without clown costumes and absurd outfit combinations.
Prom Lasts Longer
A couple of mods that extend the duration of prom in The Sims 4, making the event more grand and memorable. Now there’ll be enough time for dancing, socializing, and traditional rituals like crowning the prom king and queen. Prom will become the full-fledged celebration it’s meant to be.
— Better and Longer Prom by Lorea (Plus Event Goals Bug Fix) — Longer Prom Timer by @bosseladytv
Two Prom Royalty Mod by @simsmodelsimmer
Now, prom won’t just crown one king/queen and a jester, it’ll crown two real kings and queens! This mod makes the game fairer – sims with high charisma, cheerleaders, or football players have a better shot at winning the crown. There are three versions to choose from: a base version with boosted odds for active sims, an EA-default version with original odds, and a special one for those using the Dynamic Teen Life mod (which factors in popularity and social status). No more humiliating jester hats, only deserving winners!
Side FX – Visual Effect Player by @ravasheencc
This set will add magic to your prom: twinkling lights, romantic glows, and other effects. It’s simple: 4 light sources + a control panel where you can toggle the lighting with a single button. See how it works in the video below.

Attended Prom New Milestone by Lorea
This mod adds a special milestone "Attended Prom" for teen sims who went to the school dance.
Now, let’s move on to a selection of pre-made lots that will help you organize the perfect prom for your sims.
First, take a look at the rebuilt Britechester University – its facade makes a stunning backdrop for traditional graduation photos in gowns with diplomas. For the official ceremony, a dedicated grand hall works perfectly. And once the formalities are over, the real fun can begin in one of several party venues featuring music, a dance floor, a buffet, and unique decor styles.
Nearly all of these lots were created without custom content (CC).

can we have a gojo fic where his best friend is a girl, with a gung-ho personality, and she challenges him and makes him feel alive.
They kept their feelings for each other hidden so well for 10 years of their friendship since highschool.
a year of them not speaking, their friendship dissolved into nothing after a petty argument.
So when Satoru sees her walking in the bubbly way she always did at their highschool reunion, he pounces at her.
smutty, angsty, a bit heartwarming. have fun
OOO I like this! 100% gojo's kind of woman and honestly inspiration for his crackhead energy. Thank you anon for this req!
pairing: reader (f) x bestfriend!Gojo
synopsis: Gojo never imagined he'd ever see you again. You were the catalyst of his refined, carefree spirit. He yearned for you. And little did he know that you did for him as well.
warning: rated m for making out, fingering, eating out
a/n: I've been beside myself regarding whether I want this in the normal jjk world or a slice of life au. i think normal for more writing freedom
The first time Satoru Gojo saw you, it was during class intermission. Your high school was very kind and gave you all the teenager-equivalent to recess. They gave you the option to either hang out in the library, hit the gym, or lounge outside the back of the school.
Satoru was a simple teen, always choosing to go outside just to enjoy fresh hour for the hour you all had. He would sit right under the large willow tree at the backyard of the school, finding peace in the dancing of its branches and the shade it provided. But, it was routinely disturbed by Suguru Geto.
"Did you hear?" Suguru's steps lightly crunched the grass as he joined Satoru under the tree. Satoru had his eyes closed with his hands folded on his lap, embracing the final warmth of the summer before autumn truly took over. "Satoru?"
"I heard you," the white-haired wonder murmurs, "hear 'bout what?"
"The new girl that just transferred in," Suguru informs. Satoru didn't care much for rumormongering, but it was nice to have Suguru as a consistent informant on what goes on in their class. "Todays the first day, and she went ahead and challenged the leader of the wrestling team."
That's different. "Is that so," Satoru replies nonchalantly, his eyes still completely shut. "What a strange girl."
"She's quirky, but very beautiful," Suguru adds. "But she must be out of her mind to challenge a guy like that."
Satoru adjusts himself, crossing his arms behind his head. "If that's what she likes," Satoru couldn't care less. Suguru doesn't respond, and the two stay silent for a moment. But the silence was quickly interrupted when a crowd of students came out of the school, cheering and chanting emanating from them. "Hm?"
"I believe they're here for the fight," Suguru assumes. He scratches the back of his head, his forearm throwing his long, black hair to the side. "I'm guessing they're gonna wrestle in the sand pit there."
Satoru allowed one eye open to see the commotion. A crowd surfed through the backyard, with two students leading the pack. The first was a particularly muscly student, which could be safely assumed is the wrestling leader. But the next student beside him was you.
Suguru wasn't lying when he said you were quirky. No girl in their right mind would want to wrestle a guy with that stature. But he definitely wasn't lying when he said you were beautiful, too. The uniform hugged your body a little too well, but it was truly your face that caused Satoru to open both of his eyes.
Your expression was fierce with a shit-eating smile that Satoru couldn't help but become entranced with.
You radiated a sort of confidence that Satoru's never seen before. It could be due in part of the fact that Satoru wasn't a very social person. Despite being popular among your classmates, Suguru was the only friend he cared to have around.
The two friends watched, with Satoru being surprised at how eager he suddenly was. He leaned forward, his eyes glued at the sand pit where you and the boy stood, preparing for your tussle.
With another student as a mediator/referee, you listened closely to the rules and nodded. You smirked at your challenger, your heart practically tightening in excitement. "A clean fight, okay?" The referee repeats. "We don't want a teacher coming out and suspend us all."
Everyone laughed at the joke. "Lets get on with it, yeah?" Your opponent spewed. He was not amused one bit, considering his serious expression. "I don't like hurting girls."
You waive his concern, "don't worry, you won't."
He locked eyes with you, a glimmer of skepticism in his own. The referee stood between the two of you in the pit, his hand in the air to begin his count down. "3...2...1... Fight!" He shot his hand down and quickly escaped the sand pit.
The whole fight was a blur, but Satoru's jaw was on the floor when he witnessed the leader of the wrestling team on the ground, struggling to escape under your body. You had a toothy grin, your uniform completely scuffed with sand scratches ornate on your arms and legs.
Since that day, Satoru wanted to be known by you. You remember the boy coming up to you, his cheeks peachy and hands clammy when he introduced himself to you. Unlike all the other boys who found you intimidating, Satoru found you alluring. So, you pulled him into your own world.
"y/n, are you fucking insane?" Satoru's voice was shaky, nervous, all while still stable. The two of you stood on top of one of the biggest buildings in Japan. You have a knack for trespassing, and Satoru reluctantly followed your every move. Up until now, of course.
"Just a bit!" You glowed. You climbed up the abandoned crane on top of the building, your rough hands finding path in the bars and random equivalents of grips. "What's wrong, Satoru? You scarwed?" You teased with a baby voice.
You could see a teenage Satoru try to keep his cool, but quietly huffing and puffing when he thought you weren't looking. "it's dangerous, y/n," Satoru sounded distant behind you, his face going pale from how high you were at this point.
"It is dangerous, that's right," you yell back, your hands now gray from the accumulated dirt and dust. "But you'll never find excitement like this anywhere."
"Excitement or intense fear?" Satoru replied, his voice becoming a little louder. "I don't want anything to happen to you, y/n! Seriously!"
"Then come up here and guarantee it!" You muse. You make it to a comfortable spot to sit, turning around to look down at him. You felt the adrenaline bring you to the high you were seeking. You hands were rough and dirty, but your body felt strong and your heart was eager. You look down at the dashing boy below, "come keep me safe!"
"y/n, are you serious?" Satoru yells in dread. You nod aggressively with a wide smile. The tall boy stands there, his eyes distant with thought. You were humored from his trivial expression, his uncertainty fighting with his desire to live like you.
But you watched the nervous boy begin his trek towards you, his eyes never daring leaving the sky. You bounced joyously at his newfound bravery, causing him to emit nervous chuckles. Veins protrude his inner forearms, his breathing heavy from the effort and caution of his body. Once he was close enough, you happily offer your hand. His blue orbs held reticence, but your smile reassured him. His clammy hand meets yours, as you pull him up to the space beside you.
He creates a strong grip onto the crane, his fingers digging into the rusted metal. "are you happy?" Satoru murmurs.
"Aren't you?" You gush, nudging his shoulder gently. "Look over there." You point over at the city, and the clouds ornate between the buildings. The sun was setting, so the shadows of the skyscrapers were defined.
With a nervous gulp, Satoru looked down at the city, his bottom lip hung in awe. You watched as his nerves fade, and his hidden adrenaline finally coming forward. There was a shine in his eyes, and the way his white wisps of hair danced in the wind. A small smile pulled at the edges of his lips, and you swore to never forget the day that Satoru Gojo started his life.
Anyone with eyes could tell you that the two of you were meant to be together. A friendship transcending high school, the two of you were practically inseparable. Satoru would go find you during your work lunches, always swearing that he always gets a BOGO when in reality, he would buy you a separate lunch, opposite of the things he prefers to eat.
He was your adventure buddy, always down to follow your lead. Hiking the craziest mountains, parkouring on rooftops that you two were not meant to be at. He always had your back during paintball battles, your body rough but never shot out due to his diligent protection.
But the both of you were blind to one another's affection. The way Satoru grabs your hand whenever you two entered large crowds so he'd never lose you. The way you would fix Satoru's hair after every adventure, taking out the knots that has accrued, despite his grunts and groans. There are moments were he would just rub your hands, feeling the callouses collected since your younger years.
And you watched him grow, his confidence uncontainable. The quiet boy from high school was now a man full of vigor and ambition. Satoru has taken to exercise, his body beyond prepared for your adventures together. You couldn't help but stare at his muscles, the way his calves pulsated whenever he was reaching something high in the cabinets of your kitchen. Or the way his biceps flexed when carrying your groceries for you to the car. You could stare at him forever if you could.
Of course, until the day you couldn't stand to look at him.
"You can't be serious," you spat quietly. "When has there ever been a time where I've asked someone else before you?"
"Don't start," Satoru hums, "I asked her because someone said they'd be going on a work trip that weekend." He was sat on your couch, book in hand as you were fixing up the kitchen a bit.
You hung your head forward slightly, "and? You could still ask, 'Toru."
"If I asked you, you'd refuse to go on your work trip and just come with me to this skiing trip." This would be the very first time that Satoru goes on a fun trip like this without you. And he knows better than to ask anyone else.
"I'm an adult Satoru, I can make my own decisions," you hiss, "but instead, you've taken it upon yourself to decide for me." You begin to angrily organize your kitchen counter.
"Because I know how you are, y/n," Satoru begins, his soft tone begin to ramp up. "You'll want to go regardless of your work obligations. I'm sorry, but I can't let you be so careless."
"So why go without me anyways?" You ask, a bit of hurt in your words. "We go on these trips together, always. Why can't we then just coordinate this trip another time?"
Satoru closed his book and looked over at you, "the northern lights can be seen from Mt. Fuji this year. As much as I'd love to see them with you, you need to be more responsible and work. In turn, I don't want to miss this chance because you don't want me to go without you. It's a bit selfish, no?"
"Selfish?" The word left your tongue in distaste. "Me? You wouldn't have even wanted to do this if it weren't for me!"
"Quite bold of you for taking all the credit," Satoru lashes, his sunglasses sliding down to the tip of his nose. "I was eventually going to break from my shell-- you just kickstarted it early."
You eyes widen, narrowing down in appall from Satoru's words. The man that you watched grow up, that you helped grow up, was reducing your influence to a 'kickstart.' All of the solace that emanated from Satoru Gojo began to evaporate. "Leave," you muttered painfully.
This caught his attention, and Satoru took off his glasses. Blue eyes analyze your hurt expression, his eyes uncertain and almost... in disbelief? "y/n, you're being so dramatic. Seriously, it's not a big deal."
"To you, sure," you look away from him. You could feel your cheeks warm from the coming of tears. "Just leave, Satoru."
Satoru didn't hesitate, and rose from your couch, "you're being serious?" You don't look his way at all. Rolling his eyes, Satoru begins to grab his book and phone. "Whatever. So sorry for trying to be a good friend."
"Fuck off, Satoru," you spat.
"Yeah yeah, I'm fucking off," Satoru doesn't even hug you goodbye before he slams the door behind him. Neither of you realize it then, but that would be the last time you two saw each other, and exchanged words. Both of your prides did enough damage to eviscerate a friendship that you have loved for a long time. You cried that whole night, and the many weeks that followed.
"Shoko, is my dress okay?" You shyly pull down at the incredibly short red-dress you decided to model. Although it hugged you kindly (a little too much), it stopped just right under your ass. "I feel like if I bend over, I'll show everyone Earth's second moon."
Shoko, in a navy blue tube dress, chuckles between her cigarette pulls, "you look extremely sexy, if that's what you're asking."
"It isn't too much for this reunion?" You ignored her compliment.
Shoko shakes her head, "it's perfect."
Unknowingly to you, Satoru was already inside. His toned body was enhanced by a skin-tight, black turtleneck and black dress pants. His hair grew just a bit, tying it up in a ponytail as it would only make his tangling situation worse. He had red shades on, and a smile that could light up the universe. With a martini in hand, he was sharing laughs with all of your classmates from ages ago.
As he goes to take another swig of his drink, he almost chokes from the sight of you entering the school gym.
You entered in, no hint of shyness anywhere, despite your skimpy outfit. Many of your classmates were in awe, as the whole gym turned their attention to you. With infectious energy, you rush over with open arms to see the people you used to study with. His eyes drowned at the sight of you, your bubbly cheeks, your warm embraces to everyone who met your gaze. Even your laugh came back to his head, repeating itself like a metronome.
Satoru downs his drink, and makes his way towards you. Alcohol, combined with adrenaline, made Satoru move faster than he ever has. So swiftly, you even felt the breeze before his presence was known to you. Your eyes widen at the tall man with the white, wispy hair. His shadow, along with his gaze, swallows you whole.
You two could only stare at one another, having been a year since you've shared the same space. His hair, you thought. He was a little taller, his jaw slightly sharper. He smelled of cinnamon and hinoki wood. But his eyes... they didn't look quite like you remembered. They were dark and hollow. They appeared, in a word, empty.
Before you could begin the conversation, Satoru pulls you into his arms. A calmness washes over you, your tense body letting go. He held you just a bit tight, feeling as though your soul could fuse with his at any moment. He's so warm, you swooned in thought. Leaning down to your ear, he pulls a strand of your hair back and whispers, "can we talk somewhere?"
You silently nod, allowing for Satoru to hold you by your hand and guide you from the gym. You knew all eyes were on the both of you, considering that you two hadn't spoken for a year since your fall out. You didn't know what to expect, but you followed him obediently into one of the classrooms, a little far from the gym. He ushers you in, turning on the lights before pulling down the blinds of the classroom door window. The official windows of the classrooms were already shut, leaving the both of you completely isolated.
You slowly walk over to your old desk, remembering it was yours from the distinct, scratched in lily that was clearly never fixed. You turn around and take a seat on top of the desk, looking up and waiting for Satoru. But Satoru could only stare at you from a distance, unable to accept that you were here in front of him.
"Um," your voice sounds quietly, "long time no see, Sato--" before you could even finish, Satoru aggressively pushes the desks you carefully walked around and found his way to you. He grabs your cheeks in his large, rough hands and brings your face to his own. Lips collided, your nails digging frantically into the under of your desk. "mm--!"
An eager tongue slides between your lips, the taste of dry alcohol and lime intoxicating your own. He kissed you feverishly, his lips delicately chapped in the center. He closed the gap between the two of you, his toned abs pressing against your breasts. You then abandon the desk, ands latching themselves to the back of his shirt.
"'toru,--" you try between kisses and breaths, but Satoru was hungry. The way his tongue lapped around yours, the gentle pulls of your bottom lip between his teeth. Your hands snake to his firm chest, gently pushing him away without seeming disinterested. You look at him, trying to read his expression.
He was panting, but for the first time in your life, he was blushing. The empty eyes that briefly scared you were now lit up, just the way you remembered. His lips shined with your saliva, slightly agape to catch increments of air. "y/n," Satoru whispers.
"Satoru," you say with a firmer tone. You bring a hand up, fingers lightly rubbing your recently conquered lips. But his eyes wouldn't leave your gaze, causing your heart to lead a stampede. You realized you weren't ready to talk just yet. You pulled his shirt and brought him back to you, his face following suit, with lips rejoicing.
Satoru's hand curiously dragged its fingertips down your dress, finding its way to your thigh. He pauses, eyes opening to meet yours. Silent consent. You give yourself a few moments before nodding, allowing him to continue.
Butterflies delightfully tormented your stomach, as long, lanky fingers separate your thighs. They were cold, but your skin warmed them up as he found his way to your flower. You could feel his moans against your lips, his fingers curiously making its way between your homely folds. You perk up when your precum primes his fingers towards your cunt. They delicately filled you, three fingers finding solace in your warm, wet walls.
His lips leave yours, allowing for your moans and curses to escape. "ah--ah, s-satoru...!" His eyes widen at your sensual sounds. His breath hitched at the sound of his name from your mouth, your voice. This fueled Satoru, as he begins to finger fuck you more aggressively. The sound of your cum pierced the room as his fingers filled you up, and pulled out every other second. Your hands grip desperately at the hem of his shirt while you buried your face between his pecs.
"say my name again," Satoru demands in a whisper. "i've missed your voice so much, y/n. please, please keep saying it."
You blush, your eyes focused on the ever-growing bulge in his hands. It was just inches away from you, your mouth salivating at the thought of him. "s-satoru, satoru, f-fuck...!" He curled his fingers inside you, teasing your g-spot while also keeping the quick, steady pace of fucking your cunt. Your ears were heating up, your hands tightening their grip. "i'm... i'm...!" you could barely get your words out.
But Satoru knew exactly what you meant, a sinister smile playing at his lips. "perfect," he murmurs, completely removing his hand from your spot. You let out a disappointing sigh, but it is quickly waived when he suddenly holds your thighs, pulls your forward, and has your back on the desk. You look down, only for your head to writhe back in pleasure.
Pulling your panties down to your ankles, Satoru's lips introduce themselves to your pussy, his tongue lapping your folds. You could feel him dragging his tongue up to your clit, the tip circling around the sensitive bud. Your body writhes, with your hands desperately clinging onto his white wisps. His relentless sucking, hot breaths, and sporadic tongue work your pussy into an orgasm, your entire body tense and twitching.
Heavy breathes decorate the room, as Satoru takes out a handkerchief from his pocket and offers it to you. Your cheeks were a plum hue, but Satoru's face was completely beet red. You could feel his gaze on you as you got on your feet (weakly) and fix yourself up. He quickly gets on his knees, and pulls up your panties for you.
"Thank you very much," you quietly croak between breaths. But you noticed him not rising, with his head hung low. "Satoru? You can stand up no--"
"Y/N, I was wrong." His sharp admittance made you bite your tongue. You look down at him, unsure what to do. "I should have asked you first if you wanted to come with me. I should have never decided for you."
"Ah, Satoru, please--"
"No, I was wrong, and I regret it so, so much," his voice was shaky. "You didn't just kickstart it-- you were the reason that I needed to come out of my shell. And really, you were the reason why coming out of my shell was worth it."
You bring your hand down to his head, which makes him lower his head a bit more. "Satoru, take it easy, please..."
"I didn't enjoy myself at all-- I couldn't!" He exclaimed. "You bring me to life, and I didn't realize it until I saw those lights and didn't feel what I thought I would feel. The feeling I expected, I now realize, was because it was you I wanted to share that experience with."
You smile down at him, giggling to yourself a bit. "We were both wrong," you cooed. "Now please stand up. I don't want this to become a crying fest after you just ate me out."
Satoru looks up at you with watery eyes and a sheepish smile. His lips were still shining from your cum, and you couldn't help but get redder. As he got up and dusted his knees, he looked over at you with a smirk, "aren't you going to explain why you were also wrong?"
You looked up pensively before shaking your head, "nope!"
"Of course not," Satoru chuckles, his hands snaking around your waist, "now come here."

piece of cake
summary: meeting miles g at a bakery, and other happenings. wc: 3k+ warning: blood, grief (more at the periphery, not a major theme), and lightly implied mommy issues a/n: ngl i was hungry asf when i wrote this. why can't i ever write normal fluff fics anymore. first fic of 2024!!
Brooklyn Middle is closed for winter break. The basketball court where the snow-covered hoop no longer has a net is empty, save for the blinking Christmas lights strung across the chain-link fence.
In a few years, the pizza place across the street where students would linger after school will be demolished, replaced by a shiny new Oscorp building that reflects the sun from all angles of its glass exterior. But for now, the place is just closed early for the holidays, a few blocks away from a bakery.
The tall, bear-like frame of a father dressed in a long black overcoat can be seen entering with a wiry young boy in a red hoodie and bomber jacket tailing close behind. He has an afro as opposed to his father’s closely-cropped hair. The boy keeps trying to straighten his posture - as if his spine would suddenly lengthen and his shoulders would broaden from the act alone. He wants to make himself look important today, because he is on a top-secret mission:
Operation: Get Mom a Cake.
“I think mom’ll like that one.”
The boy points at a slice of tres leches cake sitting behind a glass display. It’s not as flashy as the other decorative cakes drizzled with chocolate and strawberries or encased in pink frosting, but those wouldn’t melt on the tongue the way tres leches did.
His father raised an eyebrow at the plain slice, but the boy looked at him with a certainty that he’d never seen before, through eyes nearly identical to his mother’s. The man knew then that he was getting an expert opinion.
“Alright, if you say so,” he chuckled, adjusting his glasses. “We’ll take that one, Val.”
The boy smiled proudly at the older woman as she handed him the pink box containing the cake. Mission accomplished.
Now, he looks up and frowns at the Oscorp building blocking the view of where his old school used to be as he picks at a slice of cake with a plastic fork.
The ‘Employees Only’ door behind the counter swings open, and Valeria Cruz hobbles out, removing her apron.
“It’s almost your shift, Miles, hurry up and finish that cake.”
Miles takes one more bite before rising from his seat near the entrance and pushing the paper plate and half-eaten slice into a small trash can.
“You got it, Miss V.”
“Did you take out the trash?”
He pauses, and his eyes widen.
“I’mma get that done right now, Miss V!”
The woman sighs, running a hand through gray and white-streaked curls as the teen sprints out the door and back outside.
A forest green puffer jacket rushes past you on the sidewalk. It’s the same one you had seen shuffling out of the back entrance of Val’s bakery the other morning, lugging two black garbage bags with a purple hoodie obscuring the stranger’s face.
He probably works there, then, you think. Good. She could use the help.
The place had been packed the week before Officer Morales’ funeral, and for several weeks after. But over time, business began to slow down to a trickle. Hipster cafés and towering condos sprang up and choked out the little pizza shops and restaurants that took their owners’ last names, like when an invasive species of plant grows taller than the local varieties and smothers them, blocking out the sun.
You had been seeing Val’s face since you were in diapers. Families used to go there for birthdays, for elementary school graduations, middle school graduations - or sometimes just to grab something sweet to eat after church on Sundays. You continued the tradition–even if just to buy a tiny bag of cookies–in the hopes that the place might still be standing for your high school graduation.
The bell above the door rings to signal your entrance. The once baby pink wallpaper has begun to fade, but the late-afternoon sun makes it feel as vibrant as it did when you were twelve. Valeria is standing in front of the display of freshly-baked pastries with her apron folded neatly over her arm.
“Oh, were you about to close up shop?” You begin to take backward steps. “I can come back later–”
“No, no, sweetie, it’s fine!” The woman waves her hand, beckoning you to stay. “I was just about to go on my lunch break. I have someone about to take over for me.”
“It’s cool, I can wait. I saw somebody taking out the trash, that him?”
She sighs wearily, “That’s him, alright. He’s a good kid, but he’s always–”
“Sorry I’m late!”
In rushes Mr. Green Jacket through a chilly gust of wind, who turns to nod in greeting towards you before weaving past Val and behind the counter, where he disappears through the ‘Employees Only’ door.
“That boy, I swear. Never on time!”
He reappears sans the jacket, wearing a white apron identical to the one Val is holding. The name tag on it reads ‘Miles’.
Miles. Where have you heard that name before…?
The hood on his sweater is no longer pulled over his head, revealing two neat cornrows that cascade all the way down his neck. The surrounding hair has been shaved and faded at the nape of his neck and hairline. He’s the sort of brown-skinned that looks golden when the sunlight hits his face as he approaches the cash register.
“You gonna be alright for the next half hour?” asked Val with an eyebrow raised.
Miles drummed his fingers on the counter and grinned. “Yup, I got it.”
“Don’t destroy anything while I’m gone!”
“I won’t, promise.”
She pushes the door open with a skeptical look and leaves.
With this new stranger temporarily in charge, you carefully approach the counter. He looks up at you with curious brown eyes.
“Whatchu want?”
“Um…” you blink before remembering what you were here for. “Just sugar cookies, please.”
“How many?”
“Five.”
He turns to grab a paper bag, then bends to drop the desired amount of cookies into it with the pair of tongs that sit on the inside of the display.
“If you don’t mind my asking, what school you go to? I haven’t seen you around here before, feel like I’d remember you if I had.”
Miles pops his head over the counter and tilts his head with a cheeky grin.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
You avoid eye contact, shifting from one foot to the other. Suddenly it’s not so cold anymore.
“I-I don’t know. You just seem memorable.”
He laughs a raspy, breathy laugh and hands you the bag of cookies over the counter. His hand is much larger than yours with slender fingers at the end of it, but still manages to appear almost clumsy-looking. Big enough to be a man’s, but with only half the dexterity.
“I go to Visions.”
“Fancy. You like it over there?”
“It’s aight. Kinda uptight, but my dad always said it was a ‘good opportunity’, so I stayed.”
You hum in consideration.
“Can't do everything for your parents, though. They'll have you living their dreams before you know it.”
The smile fades a bit, and Miles averts his gaze.
“Well my dad passed, so I just figured I’d just do this one thing for him.”
You cover your mouth with your palm.
“I'm so sorry, I–”
“It's fine,” he snorts without any humor. “You might be the only one that doesn't know who my daddy is. Kind of a relief.”
Miles encloses the money you just gave him in the slot beneath the cash register with a loud snap.
“You need anything else?”
You chew on your bottom lip in embarrassment and clutch your bag of cookies.
“No. Thank you.”
He doesn’t look up from the register.
“Have a nice day.”
Your mother is leaning on the window sill, nibbling on a granola bar when you get back home. She’s silent, which means she is observing. You’ll need to tread carefully.
“I brought cookies.”
She gives you a sidelong glance.
“Val’s cookies?”
“Yup, same as always.”
“That lady still working there all by herself?”
“She hired somebody to help out, actually - I saw a boy working the register.”
She notices the upward inflection in your voice at the mention of a boy, which interests her more than the cookies.
“What’s he look like?”
“He’s got, um,” you make a gesture over your head. “Twin braids–cornrows–and a green jacket? Kinda tall, too.”
Your mother nods, thoughtful. The description rings a bell, but she needs to confirm.
“You catch his name?”
“Miles, I think.”
“Lord,” she gasps, fully turning to face you. “That’s that Morales boy! I used to work with his momma, bless her heart. Barely saw his face after the funeral.”
The image of Miles’ face at the mention of his dad makes you cringe at your comment earlier. How could you not recognize him? He practically stole his face from the mural that was plastered above the precinct. You had only heard the boy’s name uttered once by your mother over the phone at 2:00 A.M., whispered like a secret.
“I can’t imagine how it must be for Miles. Didn’t he just get into that nice school down there? Of course they’ll have to let him go home. He should be with his mother.”
“He was such a sweet little boy. Then I saw him the other day?”
She shook her head, “Look like a different person. He had them flashy studs in his ears, nose pierced and everything.”
She wrinkles her nose. “Wouldn’t be surprised if he had tattoos under that coat as well. Damn shame.”
“He seemed nice when I saw him,” you remark quietly in a weak attempt to defend his character, despite having known him for all of five minutes. “Sweet, like you said.”
Your mother’s face hardens, all of her attention now focused on you as she folds the wrapping of the granola bar.
“That’s why you’re not bringing no boys home ‘till you’re eighteen,” she sharply reminds you. “‘Seems nice’ - How you know if he’s really nice or not?”
Again, Miles’ face appears in your mind’s eye. He didn’t seem to want your pity - rejected it, even. And what of his apparent chronic lateness?
Still…
“You don’t know that, either,” you say despite yourself. “I spoke to him while I was there.”
Your mother’s eyes narrow.
“Girl, I know that look. I better not see you runnin’ around with that boy, understand me?”
She looks set on not changing her mind now, so you only nod in defeat.
“Yes, ma’am.”
In your head, you’re already making plans to hit up the bakery tomorrow - both to apologize and to see the sun kissing Miles’ face again. Maybe tomorrow he’d even have the piercings in.
But when you get there the next day under the guise of ‘a trip to the corner store’, Miles isn’t at the register.
The sky has turned a pale shade of gray, and it has begun to drizzle. Pulling your navy blue coat tightly around you, you consider turning back around when–
Boom!
The sound of something hitting a trash can from behind the establishment catches your attention. It could be him taking out the trash at the last minute again.
Your assumption is proven only halfway correct.
Stepping over discarded boxes and tin cans, you find Miles doubled over, clutching his side. “Are you okay?”
Startled, bloodshot eyes glance at you before focusing on the ground.
“Fucking fantastic,” he grunts painfully.
As you get closer, you can see a dark stain blooming from where his hand is. A sick feeling swirls in your stomach.
“Oh my God, do you need me to call somebody?”
“Nah, I’m…I’m straight,” Miles says through labored breaths. “I just gotta…patch myself up before I get home.”
You whip out your phone and frantically unlock it.
“I’m calling an ambulance.”
“Hell no–”
“You are bleeding!”
He tilts his head towards a duffle bag lying near his feet.
“I got First Aid in there…that’ll do me just fine.”
When he tries to reach for the bag, his knees give out, causing him to collapse right next to it.
-
Miles shivers as you gingerly wrap white bandages around his waist, the flat expanse of skin on his stomach partially exposed to the elements. He fades in and out of consciousness, between your face and black nothingness. When he’s awake, he stares up at you in disbelief.
“I didn’t call 9-1-1, if that’s what you’re wondering,” you tell him with a grin. “This should stop the bleeding, but I can’t help you beyond that.”
“Wusyaname?” he mumbles, head lolling towards you. He’s on the brink of passing out again.
“Call me (Y/N).”
“Wasn’t gon’ call you anything else.”
“Shut up, I just saved your life.”
“Mmmm-hm,” Miles hums with a lazy smile that makes you wonder if he’s becoming delirious.
“Eeeeverybody loves sayin’ that. Everybody always…”
His eyelids get heavy before he can finish the thought, and he finally blacks out again in your lap.
-
There’s a short line inside the bakery that weekend, and you wonder if Miles has anything to do with it.
Word seemed to get around mysteriously fast that the former teenaged recluse had come out of hiding after that conversation (if you could even call it that) with your mother. From where you’re sitting–by the window, nibbling on a sugar cookie, observing–Miles does not seem to enjoy the attention.
Or maybe you’re just imagining the strained smile on his face as the line of customers becomes a Greek chorus of gasps and squeals.
“You got so big!”
“What did you do to your hair?”
“Oh, you look just like Jeff.”
“How’s Rio?”
“Good to see you out and about again.”
The sparkling curiosity is nearly drained from his face by the time he joins you at the end of his shift with a slice of cake. He does not have the fabled nose piercing in, but two diamond studs sparkle when the light hits them every time he moves his head.
“So?”
“So…?”
“Are you alright after I found you the other day? I saw you limping back there.”
Miles rolls his eyes.
“I’m fine. My mom’s literally a nurse. She got me straight.”
“What’d you tell her? Looked like you broke a rib.”
“Far as she’s concerned, I fell off my bike.”
“I’ve never seen you on a bike.”
“Doesn’t mean I don’t have one.”
You shrug. Touche.
“What did you have to say to me that was worth stalking me after my shift?”
“Stalking?”
“You buy the same thing every time, you think I ain’t notice?” Miles smirks, like a detective who’s just gotten a confession. “Who goes to a bakery and only gets cookies?”
“Lay off me, man, these are excellent,” you take another bite for emphasis. “Anyways, I actually came to apologize.”
His brows furrow in confusion. “For what?”
“For what I said the first time I saw you. I didn’t know you were that Miles.”
The corners of Miles’ lips pull downwards into a frown.
“That’s it?”
“Mm, well…”
You bite your lip by force of habit.
“I also wanted to talk to you again. Under better circumstances. That your favorite type of cake?”
Miles looks down at his plate when you point to it with your fork, as if he’s seeing it for the first time.
“Yeah, tres leches. What about it?”
“I dunno, I just always see you eating that and nothing else. Is there a reason?”
You expect to say something about the sweetness, or the texture, but instead he answers:
“It always tastes the same.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, like…” He puts down his fork and starts to construct an analogy in his head.
“It’s like when you see an ice cream truck. You run up to it before it drives off, and what do you ask for? First thing that pops into your head?”
“Vanilla?”
“Exactly. You could try one of the other ones, but what if it tastes like ass? Now you stuck eating something you don’t like–”
“And it’s a waste of money.”
“Exactly!” Miles laughs. “You get it. My mom makes fun of me because I’ve been eating the same thing since I was five. But it’s always good! And the same amount of good.”
“Can’t argue with that.”
You tap your nails on the table, thinking.
“But what if you find a new flavor that you really like?”
He shrugs, “Then lucky me, I guess. But that doesn’t tend to happen.”
“It could happen, though.”
He watches the strange way you eat. Slowly, teeth-first, as if you’re afraid to make a mess. It’s weirdly dainty, which makes him chuckle beneath his breath.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Uh-uh, don’t do that. What’s so funny?”
Miles gives you that same head tilt again.
“It’s cute, the way you eat.”
Your hand freezes just as it’s about to lift another cookie to your mouth, and you stare at him blankly.
“That’s…”
He pauses too.
“...Weird, yeah. Sorry. I dunno why I said that.”
A beat of silence passes that’s so heavy with awkwardness, that the two of you can’t help but burst into poorly-stifled laughter.
You lean forward with your chin resting in your hand. “That’s fine. I kept coming here just to spy on you, so I guess I’m weird, too.”
“Ah, so you admit it!”
“Hey, if I wasn’t bein’ a total creep, you might’ve bled out next to the garbage dump. Val can’t lose a valuable employee, right?”
“If you put it that way.”
You can see the white of some of Miles’ teeth peeking out as he smiles. One of his canines is charmingly crooked, and sharper than the others. When the smile fades, he suddenly looks uncertain.
“Can I ask you a question this time?”
“Ask away.”
“Do you wanna make this,” he gestures between you, “like, a regular thing? Y’know, ‘meeting under better circumstances’.”
It’s your turn for a smile to spread across your face.
“We should. Whatever you did to end up bleeding out in the rain, I guess I’d be a witness now.”
“M-hm. Can’t have you yappin’ about that to my customers,” He plays along, then winks. “I’mma need your number too, just in case.”
Just before you reach for your phone in your pocket, you hear your mother’s voice in your head, casting a shadow over the whole thing and giving you pause.
All jokes aside, Miles had never explained what had landed him in that predicament behind the bakery in the first place. He’s always late. He lies to his mother. You’re about to lie to your mother.
But the sun is hitting his face again, and with the light bouncing off of his pupils, he looks like he couldn’t hurt a fly. The shadow remains at the corner of your eye. Just the corner.
You grin and hand him your phone.
“You got it. Just in case.”

Hii!!! I just read A Whiff of Blood and it was amazing!!! Omg its been a while since I read Lloyd being caring without having another motive. This is pure goodness 😍
I was wondering if there could be a scene where y/n asks to leave work early bc she has a date. Lloyd says fine but ends up at the same restaurant as her with Danny to spy🤣 and y/n saw them and this will be the first time she yells at her boss. how would the boss react? falling for her even more or trying to save his dignity and ego 😎
Hi babe! So sorry that this one-shot is taking forever to come out (and I've made a little adjustment to it :3 hope you don't mind
A Rush of Blood
Lloyd Hansen x You
Warning: Mob AU, Mob!Lloyd, Secretary!Reader, Lloyd is being a (surprisingly) softie(?
Summary: You asked whether you could leave early for a date, while Lloyd decided not to keep his feelings bottled up any more.
W/C: ~4.5k
A/N: This is the final sequel to A Whiff of Blood, Thank you for all your love for Mob!Lloyd<333
Lloyd can’t help but look at your empty seat for the fifth time in a row. The boring-ass meeting for the quarterly revenue of his properties drags on, yet you haven’t returned for a while now.
Lloyd checks his watch.
It’s been fucking two minutes and forty-two seconds since you excused yourself with your phone buzzing in hand.
The ticking watch gets him more annoyed and impatient by the second. Two minutes and forty-four seconds, two minutes and forty-five seconds, two minutes and forty-six - where the heck are you?
You pick up the call as soon as you reach your desk, “Allie?”
“Hey hon. Bad news, I’m stuck at the airport. There has been a huge blizzard here in Alaska and all flights are banned from taking off.” Allie remains her chirpy sound, but a hit of restraint peeks from her words.
Allie has been your friend since high school. You’ve bonded over the mutual love of boy bands during your teen years. Though you have moved on from your love of pop singers/bands, Allie maintains her enthusiasm for K-pop idols.
“I’m in the middle of a conference, so, sorry about making this short,” you sigh, “I assume they can’t get any plane in or out for today?”
You scheduled for fine dining with Allie at one of Lloyd’s restaurants later this evening. At this rate, you are no longer surprised if he owns the Hollywood landmark too.
“Not in this damn weather, no.” She curses under her breath, “Not for three days as far as I’m aware.”
“Jesus.” You rub your temple as it is throbbing, “Sorry about the weather. I’ll reschedule the dinner.”
“No… don’t be.” Her hesitation on the phone sounds slightly suspicious.
“Allie?” You raise your voice dangerously, “What did you do?”
“Don’t be mad,” she holds a pregnant pause, “I’ve got this really cute boy – he’s a year behind us, by the way – and he’s working now in LA, Scott McCall – that’s double C in McCall, and I planned to introduce you two during dinner.”
“The fu- Allie!” You whisper-yell in the phone, “You’re gonna dump me and let me have dinner with a completely random person?”
Allie squeezes a few dry laughs over the speaker, “Eh- Sorry?”
“You better pray there’s no plane in three days because I’m going to crawl through the phone lines and strangle you if I have the chance.” You sputter a curse, “And burn all your K-pop albums.”
She gasps, “NOT THE ALBUMS!”
Typical Allie.
“Seriously though, you had the chance of meeting him two months ago... at an exhibition. The gallery downtown near the bakery? The Retro-modern Exhibition? The one you left early? It took him a lot of strength to get to me and then to you, so … just try, okay? If it doesn’t work out, it’s fine.” Allie sounds unlike her usual self, “If it works out … I guess you’d have a great story to tell your kids.” She can’t help but joke at the end.
“Yeah yeah, ha-ha, very funny.” With a sigh, you agree to her match-making plan, “Fine. But I really have to go back to work now, ‘kay?” You roll your eyes instinctively when the other end of the phone passes a squeaky “yes” to your ears, “I’ll be there on time. Dinner, six thirty, he’d better not be late.”
“You’re my life-saver. Mwah! Love ya’ bye!” After blowing a kiss via mid-air, Allie hangs up the phone as if fearing you will regret your decision in less than a second.
You end the call at the same moment the door to the conference room swings open, and out came a few executives for his real estate.
“Sorry, Mr. Hansen,” you put your phone into your pocket, straightening your shirt because you have been leaning on your desk. You know how much Lloyd hates disturbance, and creases on a shirt.
Lloyd purses his lips with a frown, an expression he wears often to indicate he’s not happy.
“If it’s okay for you, Mr. Hansen, I’d like to leave early today.” You request rather boldly.
For three years of your work as a secretary, the only other time you left early was a medical emergency of your mother. She fell down the stairs, hit her head, and had a broken femur. Though it wasn’t much of a big deal when she was transferred to a ward later, it scared the hell out of you to take the call from the local hospital, telling you your mother was sent to the ER in an ambulance.
Lloyd was generous enough to grant you a week of leave, but you got back on Day 5 after making sure your mother was well and taken care of.
“Is your family alright?” He asks, clearly still remembering the last time when you got kidnapped on the street, for which he had to assign Claire – a bright young lady, whom you’ve grown fond of over these past weeks – to act as your bodyguard and occasionally your assistant. Under Lloyd’s orders, she went to oversee the security cam installation at your apartment door.
“They are fine.” You suppose it’s better to tell him the truth regarding your leave, rather than having him meet you in his restaurant a few hours later, “I uh… have a date tonight.”
“A date?” He raises his eyebrows, repeating syllable by syllable, “A date, you say?”
“Yes, a date.” It feels like a betrayal all of a sudden, a betrayal of your work ethic. Your throat tightens, “Ahem, I’ll be leaving at five, if that’s alright with you, Mr. Hansen.”
Lloyd studies you for a moment.
“Okay.” He shrugs, sounding carelessly, “If you finish the work for today.”
You are pretty sure that there’s no more itinerary for either Hansen or you after this meeting, but you still play your role as a dutiful secretary and ask, “Anything else you would like me to do?”
“Call James and tell him to pick up the loan I gave out to the Dawson scum, five mil’ in cash or non-bearer bonds. If Dawson returns even one dime short, I want his arm broken. And deliver the drycleaning to my place by five tonight. Tell my butler, while you’re at it, he can hold off the repair down at the basement, this can wait till January. And,” he pauses, “I want you to tell Dani, head to her place personally, and tell her that I’m cancelling the Cuban appointment.”
“Yes, Mr. Hansen.” You pick up the landline straight away, ready to dial James’ number.
“You are not taking any notes whatsoever.” Lloyd narrows his eyes, “What are the tasks I just gave you?”
Lloyd seems extra grumpy today, plus you are not a note-taker anyway. You cover the speaker with your palm, though puzzled as to why he’s moody all of a sudden, but comply with his demands, “Call James, collect the debt from Dawson; get the drycleaning to your house by five, and tell your butler Marlin not to rush on the basement repair; and lastly, tell Dani you’re cancelling the Cuban appointment.” And you have no clue what this “Cuban” appointment is. Darn, Lloyd does keep a whole lot of secrets from you, “Anything else, Mr. Hansen?”
Fuck.
He sounds like fucking Cinderella’s stepmom dumping beans into the fireplace. Since when did he get off on ordering you around doing meaningless chores? He could perfectly do them himself, not to mention some of the biddings he has just told you were unnecessary – the basement repair? It was a damn doorknob getting stuck, not a pipeline that leaks like a faucet.
“Claire’s not here, take Avik with you.” He grumbles, returning to his office and slamming the door shut.
Avik is a silent, tanned man who often acts as Lloyd’s muscle. He emerges from thin air – or probably from some corner, standing rigidly behind you like a statue.
“Hey Avik, mind if I drive?” You put a warm smile on your face, swinging the car key on your finger.
Avik merely nods, gesturing that he’ll walk in front of you.
After picking up Lloyd’s drycleaning and telling Marlin the exact words from Lloyd's mouth, you head off to your next assignment.
Dani.
Dani is a woman approximately your age, speaks fluent Spanish, English, and Italian, probably a couple of other languages that you couldn’t understand too, and rumored to be Lloyd’s ex.
She is a charming lady living in a mansion away from the glamourous nightlife of LA, but not shy of parties. In fact, you’ve accompanied Lloyd to a few that she hosts, and if you ever need a party planner, she would be your No. 1 choice – if you can afford it.
You tap on the steering wheel somewhat anxiously, checking your watch. It’s five to six, and Dani’s residence is halfway across the city, and you have yet to finish the job that Lloyd told you to.
It feels like double standards when you explicitly told Allie that your date cannot be late.
Dani’s lovely butler, Mrs. Santos invited you in, leading you to the guest room.
“To what do I own this honor of having Lloyd’s personal assistant arriving at my place?” Dani flips her hair and giggles.
“Lloyd has sent me to tell you that,” you still remember the strange code phrase word by word, “He’s cancelling the Cuban appointment.”
Dani carefully studies you for a moment, before bursting out laughter, “He… He said that? The Cuban appointment?”
Darn, even when she’s laughing, she’s charming as always.
“Yes.” You answer her question, “If there’s no message you want me to forward to him, I’ll be out of your hair.”
Dani hangs a mysterious smile on the corner of her lips, her honey-toned skin practically gleaming as she speaks, “None. But if you don’t mind me asking, do you have any plans for tonight? I want to borrow you for one of my parties – you know,” she shrugs, “connections and all that.”
Dani’s parties are always filled with delightful cocktails and exquisite people she knows from all over the world. It’s a perfect chance to refresh your connections with all sorts of people – thieves, CEOs, fences, politicians - part of the reason why she asked you to stay.
Yet, you were already booked for tonight.
“Sorry,” you politely rejected, “I’d love to, but I have a date tonight.”
“Well, you-” Dani points at you with her perfectly manicured finger, sounding cheerful, “are welcome at my place, anytime. You can bring your date here even, if you need a place to chill.”
“Thank you, Dani.” You respond, “Have fun at your party.”
Dani cocks her head to the side. The bright flashy diamond earrings peek from under her hair, swaying as if they were about to fall. She hums thoughtfully before wishing you a pleasant evening.
As soon as you step out of her estate, Dani picks up her phone and dials Lloyd’s number, “I recall a certain someone claims that he needs absolutely no help landing a girl,” She twirls her hair around her fingertips, chuckling, “the Cuban appointment, Lloyd? Wow, you must be really desperate. Now, you want me to help you sabotage her date? That I can do...”
With Lady Luck by your side, you’ve successfully reached the restaurant five minutes early with someone already at your table, while Avik sits at a table on the other side of the aisle, keeping an eye on you.
“You must be Scott.” You pull your chair to sit, trying your best to ignore the bulk of muscles on your righthand-side, watching as the young man across the table hastily puts down his water glass and stands abruptly with his face flushed.
“H… Hi.” He can barely stop the grin on his face, “It’s so nice to finally meet you.”
Allie is right. He is cute.
Scott scratches the back of his head, plopping down on his seat, asking hesitantly, “If this is not too intrusive, how did you get a reservation? My friend has been dying to try this place for a week and the nearest spot available is three months later.”
“My boss is a close friend of the restaurant manager.” Lloyd practically runs this place. The manager gets scared shitless every time he needs to deliver the quarterly books to Lloyd and he asks you to do it in his place. Hence, he’s greatly in your debt. But you are not going to tell Scott you work for the largest gang in the city, so you feign your interest and ask, “What about you? Allie didn’t tell me what you do for a living.”
His face goes flushed pink again, “I uh… I work as an assistant curator,” he adds, “but I paint.”
“Oh really? That sounds fun. What do you paint?”
Scott chats on and on about his love for contemporary art and various ways of making a beautiful moment permanent when you notice Avik stands up and leaves.
“… sorry,” you apologize to Scott, for you have missed the question he asks, having paid too much attention to the bodyguard Avik who doesn’t seem like returning, “what was that again?”
Scott shuts his mouth momentarily before managing a small smile, “I was just thinking that we should get the waiter. Is there anything you like on the menu?”
The food was divine, and the wine was savory too. Though the waiters seemed a little distracted – you guessed it was probably their boss telling them to stay away from your table for you to enjoy your date. After exchanging pleasant conversations, you know it’s time to end this lovely date.
Before getting the check and leaving, you excuse yourself to freshen up.
Scott nods with his curls bouncing.
Scott is nice.
He is smart, funny, and cute with his untamed curls.
You put on a thin layer of lipstick. Looking into the mirror, the polite smile breaks away when you watch your reflection.
Scott is a decent guy. Why don’t you like him?
A vague outline rises in your head, before evaporating.
Stop it. You tell yourself. Scott is a nice guy. You should enjoy this date.
Only when your figure disappears behind a few tables, did someone sit on your spot.
“Evening.” A moustache man traces his finger on the cup from which you drank, crossing his legs, “Scotty, right?”
Scott clenches his hand on the arm of his chair, but Avik appears quietly behind him, grabbing his shoulders to have him sit down. A hard piece of metal is pressed to the back of his head. It doesn’t take much common sense to understand that Avik has a gun pointing at him.
“Don’t get all flustered,” Lloyd pours some wine into both glasses, “I’m just here to… be nice.” A wicked grin creeps up his lips as Lloyd continues, “The woman who you’re dating tonight?”
Scott gulps, squeezing a “yeah” out of his teeth.
“That’s my girl.” Lloyd dead-pans, massaging the light smudge of your lipstick on the glass, “So, if you have any wrong idea, or any thoughts about her…” Lloyd has a cold gleam in his eyes, shakes his head and tuts, “Don’t.”
Poor Scott has his face drained of colors. His lips quivering, “I-I’m not- I don’t want to be part of this…”
“Good.” Lloyd smirks. Drinking from your glass, he licks his lips to savour the sweet honey taste of your lipstick, before giving his final order, “Now be a good boy, say your ‘nighty night’s, and get the fuck out of my turf.”
“Boss.” Avik’s eyes dart to the lavatory, signalling that you are approaching this table.
“Aaaand that’s my cue.” Lloyd stands up from the chair, looking content, “Keep this little interaction between us, will ya’?” He pouts, “I’d hate if she gets upset.”
By the time you reach this table, Scott sweats in buckets like he has just been to a sauna.
“Is everything alright?” You can’t help but ask.
“Yeah… yeah.” Scott could barely mask his trembling voice, or keep his eye contact, “I’m … feeling uncomfortable… right now.”
“Is it the food? Do you need to go to the bathroom?”
“No… I mean, I think so. The asparagus was raw.” Scott wipes the sweat off his pale face, “It’s been lovely, but …”
Your eyes dart to the table where Avik was sitting. Nope, he isn’t there. For a second you thought that Avik might have terrorized Scott into backing out. Such a stupid idea, why would Avik do that? You throw this thought to the back of your head, before suggesting if Scott needs a lift home, or to the hospital.
Scott nearly jumps from his spot upon hearing the offer, which confuses you as he avoids speaking or looking at you, as if you were a plague.
He takes his belongings, bids you good night before sprinting out of the restaurant.
What the fuck have you done???
You trouble yourself with the question when Avik returns to your side without a single sound, “Avik, I was wondering where you’ve been.”
“The backroom where I can observe the surveillance footage, ma’am.” His voice booms, “Shall I drive you home?”
“Yes, I suppose.” You sigh.
Avik gestures for you to walk, but you stop in your tracks.
“Avik?”
“Yes, Ma’am?”
“Did you have any food yet?”
You did not see him ordering anything when he was sitting across the aisle, nor do you believe that he’d risk losing his job over some half-cooked asparagus.
“… No Ma’am.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose. The exhaustion of trying to satisfy Lloyd’s tasks and doubting whether he’s being paranoid again takes over you for so long, you seem to lose a little bit of human emotions – neglecting dutiful Avik, as a result.
“Sorry about that, Avik.” You apologize, feeling slightly better that you’ve come to your senses after a long day, “I’ll have them prepare something vegan for takeaway.”
“…thank you, Ma’am.”
Grabbing a waiter passing by, you tell him about your request, before resting on your chair.
Out of sheer boredom, you tap on your glass, scraping the lipstick smudge off the crystal-clear surface with a used napkin.
Avik coughs as if he has just choked on his own spit.
“Everything alright, Avik?”
It seems like you’ve said this for the second time tonight.
“Yes. Ahem. Yes, all is well.” Avik clears his throat uncomfortably.
“Because you can totally have tonight off. I’m more than capable of driving home myself.” You offer sweetly, expecting him to take the suggestion and leave you here.
“Thank you, Ma’am.” Avik replies rigidly, his shirt collar tightening around his tanned skin as he speaks, “Thank you, but your safety is my priority.”
You should have known better than to negotiate with Lloyd’s muscle. They follow his orders like workers around a queen bee. Pursing your lips together, you decide not to spend time bargaining with Avik, but scroll on social media to distract yourself.
Avik lets out a long, slow exhale when you are focusing on your phone. He’s great at bodyguarding, but terrible at being a double agent.
The takeaway package arrives shortly – or it could be you are too tied up in the TikTok drama to notice time slipping away from the tip of your fingers. Avik takes the wheel while you sit in the back, trying hard not to think about the sudden change in Scott’s attitude.
It’s not like you don’t enjoy Scott’s company. You do. But Scott’s dashing out of the restaurant leaves a certain impression that you don’t think you’d forget anytime soon. Maybe the food was raw. Or burned. Or he had some pills. Still, it doesn’t explain why he ran out of the place like a bloodhound was chasing him.
Or is there something wrong with you? Something he’d grow repulsive of?
“Stop the car, please.” The thoughts in your head are preventing you from breathing. With Avik’s puzzled frown in the rearview mirror, you shrug, “You can go park the car. I want to have a little walk and some fresh air.”
After what must be an internal debate in Avik’s silence, he slowly stops at the curb, agreeing for you to have your fresh air.
The street is silent, not a living soul in sight. You close your eyes and breathe in the fresh air.
Oh well, maybe the air is not so fresh after all, with the smell of gasoline and dust and … smoke?
You turn around.
Lloyd’s Rolls-Royce follows you like a toddler in small steps, with a hand outstretched from the window that flicks his cigarette stub to the curb.
“Mr. Hansen?” You could’ve been dreaming. Why would Lloyd’s car follow you? Why – “What are you doing here?”
Lloyd steps out of the vehicle, popping a peppermint into his mouth. Crushing the candy with his jaw, he mumbles, “Just having a late-night stroll.”
A ridiculous idea comes into mind, and you ask in disbelief: “Are you following me?”
“No.” Lloyd stares at you straight into your eyes, but you’ve seen him lie better, “This is my turf. And you can’t ban me from patrolling my own territory.”
You can’t help but roll your eyes.
Sure. Patrolling. Very convincing. He just happened to stumble in front of your apartment building among hundreds of thousands of streets.
“Of course.” Maybe it’s the wine, because for crying out loud you would be tongue-tied if you were to say this at work, but the sarcasm drips out of your tone like water out of a broken faucet, because you are not in the mood. At all. “Good night, Mr. Hansen.”
“I had a great night.” Since he counts the scurrying of one horny young man as a win, Lloyd casually drops, “Can’t say the same about you.”
What the heck is wrong with him?
Now it’s definitely the wine that does the talking, as you poke him square in the chest with your index finger, your voice littered with fury, “It’s after-hours, and you don’t own my after-hours, in case you don’t have a watch, okay?”
Lloyd offers his characteristic lop-sided smile, “What - you’re gonna buy me one?”
“No?!” You huff out in disbelief. Has he taken hallucinating drugs? Why on earth is he acting funny? “This is not - look, Mr. Hansen-”
Lloyd steps closer. You get that whiff of smoke from his body, and the musky cologne that he occasionally uses in rare circumstances, and your words somehow get stuck in your throat.
“Lloyd.” He pronounces his name, loud and clear, “C’mon sunshine, lllllloyd.”
Lloyd. The name rolls to the tip of your tongue. It feels natural and soft, unlike Lloyd Hansen himself. But the syllable drives your heartbeat wild. He is your boss. You are obligated to call him Mr. Hansen.
Well, maybe not obligated. But you would feel more comfortable calling him Mr. Hansen. The name Lloyd sounds like an over-step of your work relationship.
Your work. Your beloved secretary job. Which is fine. Which you enjoy, as you handle his affairs with some effort. But the name. He’s asking you to call him Lloyd and that sounds more intimate than what you should be calling your boss.
“I- ” You are at a loss of words. What does he want? Does he want you to be his mistress? Which is ridiculous, because you don’t want to be the type of canary living in a birdcage and sing for him whenever he pleases. More importantly, he cannot be having thoughts about you – or does he want this to be a one-night thing where he could pull up his pants and comment on how long since he had a good fuck?
-stop it. It’s an insane thought. He’s not interested. So are you.
You accidentally look at his eyes, and you recognize the burning desire rooting deep down. It scorches you instantly as your eyes meet, before you lower your head to avoid the demanding gaze.
“You’re my boss…” You mutter weakly, knowing well that this stupid excuse does not prevent you from enjoying (or feeling safe at) Lloyd’s presence – most of the time, when he’s not bloody or throwing punches – or from the plain fact that maybe, just maybe that you feel a little different towards him, and that for the briefest of moments, you wished that he was sitting across the dinner table tonight, taking you out on a date.
Lloyd’s expression goes still for a second.
You can’t tell whether he’s mad or upset.
He sighs, taking a step towards you to close the space between you two, before framing your face in his hands and whispering in frustration, “God, you’re so dumb.”
His lips are soft, contrary to his mean words. They land on you with a bitter taste of burned tobacco, as his tongue swipes the seam of your lips, forcing an embarrassing mewl out of you.
It felt like Lloyd and his roughness. It felt like an iceberg breaking into chucks, whales lifting their head to breathe and the dam that withholds feelings inside your head cracks. It felt … right.
He slowly breaks away the kiss, sighing again, right next to your lips, his moustache making your cheek itch.
“Am I about to get a kick in the balls?” He asks softly, nose gently rubbing on yours.
“No…no.” Not that you don’t want to, because how dares he! Following you and kissing you like that! But because your head turning into a warm mush.
“Good.” He nibbles on your lips, you can feel his lips curving into a smile, “ ’cause I kinda like them.”
“Hmm?”
“Never mind.” He lands another kiss on you before pulling away. The bad-boy grin visible on his face.
You feel like you need to say something. Anything. So, you open your mouth and: “Do you want … a cup of coffee at my place?”
Lloyd cocks his eyebrows in surprise, but there’s no way he’d let slip of this chance, “Sure, why not.”
The mush in your brain refuses to leave. Your body acts on auto-pilot, leading you away from him.
You don’t even notice that he’s not following you this time, until he calls your name out of the blue, with a hint of amusement in his tone.
“Yes, Mr. Hansen?”
Lloyd decides to let slip of your poor choice of words this time, simply pointing his thumb in the other direction: “Your home is this way.”

"On foot
I had to cross the solar system
before I found the first thread of my red dress.
I sense myself already.
Somewhere in space hangs my heart,
shaking in the void, from it stream sparks
into other intemperate hearts."
--Edith Södergran, 'On Foot I Had to Cross the Solar System'
On one unfortunate night when you were seven, a drunk driver hit your parents car. Your mother on the passenger side died instantly, your father later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. You were injured severely, but the doctors managed to keep you alive... At the cost of your voice. Chunks of glass tore through and stabbed your neck; the damage to your larynx was the worst, the second was nerve damage. You could speak in a very harsh, almost whisper-like, voice but it caused an intense amount of pain. You were upset. You hated that driver for what they took from you.
Your aunt and uncle took you in, and were able to help you adjust as you grew. They learned and taught you sign language, they helped you cope with the loss of your parents as best they could, and were always supportive. Despite their work lives keeping them away, they always tried their best to give you attention when they had the free time.
You found ways to enjoy life again, particularly in the stars. They were almost comforting to you when you were alone, looking out your bedroom window. You weren't sure why you have such an affinity for space and what it holds. Maybe because your father brought you out at night to point out all the constellations and their stories. Those moments with him started your interest. And now, you believed your parents were amongst the many stars in the vast universe.
You grew content with not having a voice. You adapted and overcame the curveball life sent your way. You just wished the pain wasn't constantly lingering.
---
It was the day you started going to your new highschool in Forks. It wasn't ideal transferring to a different school, but your uncle's job called for it. He was a firefighter and he was offered a sizable pay increase and rank promotion to fire captain if he took up the position for the Forks station. Your aunt, a nurse, was able to transfer to Forks hospital. They discussed the idea of moving with you of course, and you not wanting to hinder your uncle's promotion or damper his excitement, you supported the move from California to Washington.
You could already tell this rinky dink school wouldn't have anyone that understands ASL and the school said they are still looking to hire someone to be an interpreter of sorts, so you were mentally preparing yourself for the mess you may be entering. At least you transferred only three weeks into the new school year, that would make any school work you needed to catch up on relatively easy. It also helped it was your senior year as well.
As soon as you got out of your car, all of the heads of the student body snapped in your direction. You guess they've never seen a new kid before. You make your journey towards the building, hoping that no one would bother to talk to you. You already saw a teen walk up to you, he had straight black hair and a toothy grin.
"Hi, I'm Eric. You're the new kid." He seemed friendly.
You offer a little wave and sign, hoping he would get the inclination you could not speak.
"Shit... I don't know sign except..." He gave you the sign sorry before pointing to his ears and back to you. You shook your head and tapped your throat. "Oh! You can't speak." You nodded. "Sorry about all the confusion. Welcome to Forks High, home of the Spartans. I'm pretty much the eyes and ears."
You simply nod along when necessary and smiled as he gave you the very quick run down of most of the immediate gossip of school, which was centered around you, the new kid. He seemed like a nice guy but glancing at the clock you passed by in the hall you knew it was close to your first class.
"And don't get me started on the Cul-What?" You interrupted him as you held out your schedule to him, pointing to your first class. "Oh yeah, guess class is starting soon. Lets see... you're in 103 for English with Mr. Baker which is..." He glanced up. "Right down the hall. I have History right next door."
You smile at his help and follow him through the sea of students.
You wave Eric goodbye and enter classroom 103. You felt eyes of everyone land on you, but none more eye-catching or captivating as the gold pair near the back of the classroom. His gaze was intense, eyes wide, as he stared at you. You held his gaze. You weren't sure what to think at the moment but before anything could come to mind, an older gentleman walked in and stole your attention. You assumed correctly this was Mr. Baker.
---
Edward was the first to arrive for his first period class. He was always punctual, but there was a difference now. He no longer had Bella in tow.
It was a mutual end to their quick relationship. While her blood did appeal to him greatly, the fastness of their relationship hurt them both emotionally at the end. It was purely fascination of each others beings that they mistake as something else. While it did hurt, Edward could admit to himself he wasn't distraught over it. They remained friends and he was content with that.
Slowly, other students began filling the classroom as the clock ticked on. Everyone filling seats they usually sat in despite there being no assigned seating. No one ever sat next to him, often feeling intimidated by his status as a Cullen. The vampire paid them no mind, occupying his attention to watching the typical Forks rain traverse down the window he always sat by. He tuned out everyone's thoughts the best he could, letting his usual melancholy about his nature linger in his mind.
Edward perked up when he heard an fast-beating heart breakthrough his attempts of zoning out. Shifting his focus to the doorway his eyes latched on to the new student.
You.
It didn't take reading thoughts to feel the buzz of a new student arriving in the small school.
He felt... strange. Much like with Bella, your scent invaded his senses and made him thirsty, yet, that wasn't what caught his immediate attention.
It was the eyes. Something about them captivated Edward. He wasn't sure what about them had him staring at you, who now stared back at him. The vampire attempted to discern your thoughts and he caught an inkling of curiosity starting to bleed out before the teacher took your attention away. His stayed on you, and didn't pay him any mind or had any idea he wad, and focused his enhanced hearing on the conversation.
"Hello, new student?" The teacher greeted and softly spoke your name. The auburn haired male watched as the you nodded.
Edward's curiosity peaked when he finally heard their thoughts, clear as the days outside of Forks.
"Yes, that's me. Do you know sign?" He heard their thoughts as he watched their hands easily relay in sign language. I'm expecting a no they internally sighed.
"Oh shoot I wasn't told..." A worried look passed on the teachers face as his sentence trailed off. Edward can hear his thoughts complain that the school failed to inform him about the new student outside their name and grade. A look of exasperation briefly flashed on your face.
Who would of fucking thought Forks High, a small-ass school, would not inform their teachers. Fantastic. Wonderful. I love it. It was a pointed statement that had Edward both mildly shocked at the language and pretty amused. I wonder how much others outside of Eric will put up with me here.
Edward sighed. He knew he shouldn't involve himself with another human but he couldn't help it. Whatever captivated him and the resignation you mentally expressed already had moved him. He got up from his spot and quickly moved to the front of the classroom.
"Apologies, I don't mean to cut in but I know sign."
---
You blink at the golden-eyed student he approached you and the teacher. You felt a grateful smile tug on your lips as you faced him. Immediately, you felt some appreciation and felt good about being wrong on your previous assumption.
"Thank you, Edward." Mr. Baker smiled in relief. Edward gave the teacher a small, tight lipped smile at him and faced you. The teacher introduced you to him. "And this is Edward Cullen."
"I'm sorry for any inconvenience." Edward spoke as you signed, his voice soft and velvety. Observing his face, you watched as his brows furrow at your statement, which became almost a second nature for you due to the way your previous school treated you. You often faced irritated glances or your existence ignored entirely outside the feo close friends you accumulated.
"Please relay to them-" Mr. Baker spoke but you immediately shook your head and held up a hand.
"I am neither deaf or hard of hearing, sir. I just can't speak." Edward translated for you again. "I look forward to class with you both." A smile appeared on his face again.
"You too. And you aren't being an inconvenience at all. It's the fault of the school, really." Mr. Baker offered a kind smile. Edward left the two of you, as if knew he wouldn't be needed again. "Take a seat wherever you want, I don't do assigned seating unless it becomes an issue." Mr. Baker gave you a kind smile and gestured for you to pick out a seat, while he moved to the classroom computer. You take a glance around, only seeing three spots open.
Your eyes landed on the one next to Edward, causing you to perk up. Though, you hesitated, his small smile and the single, subtle nod assured you it was fine to sit by him. Holding your backpack strap a little tighter, you move between desks to join him.
---
Edward watched as you sat next to him. You offered him a quick smile before you started pulling out your notebook and your small pencil case. You didn't look over at him as you stared up at the board, waiting for class to start.
The vampire was curious and while he knew it was an invasion of privacy, he couldn't help but try and focus in on more of your thoughts. Except he was met with...
What? His brows furrowed. Edward felt overwhelmed for a moment, his sense felt almost deprived as he tried peering in your mind again.
Edward suddenly saw what he perceived as a galaxy. Stars, planets, moons, a sun... it was vast and it was breathtaking. It wasn't something he never saw before, this detailed, in a humans mind. He was able to view this scene for just a few fleeting moments until he suddenly felt warm energy push against his mind.
The vampire blinked. His presence was back in classroom 103. He glanced toward you. Paying close attention, he didn't see anything that indicated you were in any way aware of what just occured. He heard the teacher swear under his breath as he attempted to get the projector working, and used this moment to speak with you.
Softly, he called your name, bringing your attention to him.
"How are you liking Forks?" Edward recognized he was a bit awkward, but you gave no inclination that you minded or judged him.
"It's wet. But I don't mind it. The scenery is nice." You signed and it was as if the cosmos that warded him from your thoughts was lifted. Hearing your thoughts again after being blocked out by the cosmos left him perplexed and curious.
"Forks does have its charm in scenery." He chuckled. "But I assume that isn't why you moved?"
"No, but it definitely is a bonus." You smiled. "My uncle got a promotion so we moved up from California."
"What does he do?"
"He is now the fire captain here."
Edward had a kind smile and offered a small congratulations to him. He then spoke again, "What does your class schedule look like?"
You reached into your zip up hoodie pocket and pull out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it, you slid it to his desk. His golden eyes scanned the paper and he felt some sort of happiness that your schedules almost align completely. The only class difference was your last two classes, which would have you taking gym and history without him.
"Looks like we will be seeing each other a lot. We have almost all the same classes."
That's a relief. Edward suppressed a smile at your thoughts. I hope we can be at least friendly with one another.
"Since we have most of our classes together, would you like to be friends?" He asked. He could already hear Rosalie scolding him for getting involved with another human, but he didn't particularly care what she would think.
You were another anomaly to his, otherwise, stationary life. He has no plans to try and initiate a quick romantic relationship again. He simply was curious to the stars that lingered behind your eyes.
---
It was nearing lunchtime. You glanced out the window of your math class while the teacher closed out her lesson and began explaining what the homework was going to be. You were very grateful for Edward sticking by you in each course. He was able to help you talk to your teachers, answer and ask questions, and made Forks high a little more welcoming.
You had met two of his siblings in that time frame, Emmett and Alice, who were both a delight. Alice already expressed how much she was excited to finally get to know you, which you assumed she was wanting to meet the new kid, and Emmett offered to watch your back in gym with the biggest grin you've seen on a persons face. It also warmed your heart to find they also knew sign too.
The initial worry of being a forever outsider like before began melting away. So far things have been pleasant unlike your last experience.
As you mind wandered off to old school memories of bullies and loneliness, you were still unaware of Edward trying to discern your thoughts again. You missed the look of confusion and frustration on his face. Although, you did manage to hear him make a noise that sounded like frustration, which snapped your attention on him.
"Everything okay?" You ask him. He glanced up at the teacher who was now facing the board writing the homework down.
"Just... wanting class to be over." Edward gave you a tight lipped smile. "Mrs. Johnsons' classes are usually a bore."
You nodded with a smile and silent chuckle.
The class bell rang, signaling an end, and practically everyone ran out for lunch. You eyed the crowd trying to leave and shrug your shoulders. You scribbled down the equations Mrs. Johnson assigned before putting your class materials away and preemptively pulled out your brown bag lunch.
You glanced to Edward while you both stood up. You weren't sure if you should continue sticking by his side until it was time for your last two periods or find your own corner to decompress. Perhaps giving him a break from-
"Are you ready?" His soft voice cut through your thoughts. You blink, pausing for a moment, before nodding.
"Lead the way." You smiled, though you were sure it came off as nervous. There will be so many people...
"Would you like to sit with my family and I, or would you like to go somewhere quiet?" You looked at him a bit shocked, were you that easy to read? You could see the twitch of his lip like he was going to respond but he kept quiet.
"Somewhere quiet, just for today."
"Follow me then."
---
Rosalie sighed as she leaned against the table, waiting for her siblings to join her and Emmett for lunch. She then looked to her partner and leaned against him, who laughed and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Her golden eyes followed Bella's form with a glare as she sat down with her friends.
"Come on, babe. Her and Edward have no hard feelings." Emmett spoke in a quiet tone.
"It's still a danger to us." She grumbled.
"Nope! She still becomes a vampire like us." Alice suddenly sat down with a bright smile. Jasper was quick to sit down next to her.
"Even after what happened with the Volturi and James?" Emmett asked.
"Yep. While the course of her and Edward's relationship definitely changed, she still becomes a part of our clan."
"Great." Rosalie rolled her eyes and then glanced around at the table. "Speaking of Edward, where is he?"
"Probably off with the new kid." Emmett smirked. "They seem pretty nice. Edward's been helping them since they can't speak."
"Another human?" She looked to her partner then to Alice. "Did you..."
"Have a vision of them? Yes. The day before Edward and Bella parted their romantic relationship, I had a vision of them coming to Forks. And then after meeting them, I saw them and Edward, looking pretty close." She smiled and giggled.
"Great, another human who is going to choose to be a vampire." Rose scoffed.
"Rosalie-" Alice's usually bright expression drops. Everyone at the Cullen table looked at her with worry as it appeared her eyes glaze over. Jasper immediately gripped her hand under the table as he could feel a wave of sadness wash over from her.
"Darling?" Jasper whispered.
Alice blinked rapidly. She looked to the others with a worried expression. "I... I didn't see the specifics but... It wasn't their choice."
It was silent between them. Rosalie's eyes were wide, Emmett clenched his fist under the table, Jasper tried his best to calm everyone, and Alice simply blinked and tried looking to the future again.
She could see you, crying and writhing as the venom from a bite on your arm took hold, blood all over you. Edward and Carlisle were right by your side, speaking. But she couldn't hear what they were saying.
All she heard was a high pitched ring.
And then the vision flashes a blinding white and she swears she could feel intense heat against her face.
She was back at the table again with her family. It was the same vision as before. Never had she seen such a bright light, heard such a noise, or felt anything like that from a vision.
"We have to talk to Carlisle."

“Are you going to keep secretly writing notes about me or ask me that question you’ve been too afraid to ask?” Y/N questions, her eyes never leaving the computer where she is tying in the new patient information. She is currently six hours into her ten-hour shift.
The boy sitting on the exam table freezes. His thumbs stop typing in his notes app as he looks at Y/N in surprise. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Y/N rolls her eyes, “Mhm, sure. This is the fifth time you’ve been in this week, but you always seem to leave with nothing wrong. You either have hypochondria or you’ve kept coming back until I was your nurse.”
“Maybe the previous nurses and doctors didn’t do a good job and sent me home without properly helping me.” He picks at the bottom of his shirt in a nervous habit.
“The first time you came in was for pink eye, which has been noted that you didn’t have that. The second time was for a rash on your arm that you didn’t have.” Y/N says, looking over his previous visit notes, “The third time was a bump on your knee that turned out to be your kneecap. The fourth time was for a broken wrist that turned out to be broken or even sprained. Now you’re here due to flu-like symptoms, but your vitals are all good and there is currently no indication of you being sick.”
He forces out a fake cough, “Are you sure about that?”
Y/N turns to look at him, “I’m sure. You do know this is an emergency room, right? We have actual patients that need help, and we are short staffed. We don’t need some kid coming in trying to meet the Stark girl to get a good photo for his Instagram or whatever.”
“First of all, I’m not a kid—we’re the same age. Second, this isn’t for my Instagram, this is for my criminology class.” He says, dropping his act. He knew there was no point in tripling down on his lies.
“Well, your parents must have a lot of money or some really good insurance for you to be able to show up here five different times.”
“Something like that.”
Y/N looks him up and down, contemplating what she should do. She should just send him home, but she’s worried he will keep showing up until he gets what he wants. “The school year just started, why do you need to speak with me for your criminology class now?”
“Our first assignment is to do a paper on a famous crime. What’s more famous than the kidnapping of Tony Stark’s daughter?”
“I can think of several.” Y/N lets out a sigh, turning her body to fully face him, “You get five questions. If I don’t want to answer one, then it’s still going to count as one of your questions. After that, you have to leave and also promise not to come back here unless you have an actual emergency.”
He smiles in victory, turning his phone back on, “Do you mind if I record this so I can type out your answers later?”
“Sure.”
He opens the Voice Memos app on his phone, hits the record button, and holds it up between Y/N and himself. “Okay, first question, I am aware that the Avengers are currently relocating to a little outside of Beacon Hills, but have you been back to the other Avengers compound or the place you lived while with them?”
“No, I have not been back.”
He opens his mouth to ask her to elaborate but decides against it in case she counts that as a question. “Second question, what was your initial reaction when you discovered the truth?”
Y/N pauses as she thinks of an answer. For safety reasons, when they announced who she was, they changed the story of how it happened. Instead of telling the public she was re-kidnapped by Hydra, they told them about Bucky discovering the photo of her in Derek’s auto shop. It’s part of the reason some people like to show up there.
To the public’s knowledge, Hydra kidnapped her in hopes of raising her to be their soldier before she was able to escape on her own when they left her unattended outside. She was then found by a friend of Talia Stilinski and adopted by the Stilinski’s. To the public’s knowledge, Pepper didn’t hand her over to Hydra, she was never experimented on, she has no powers, and she didn’t know about the Avengers because she was too young—not because her memories were blocked.
“Mostly confusion. It’s not every day that someone shows up and claims to be your other family. Now I’m just waiting for my biological family to do the same thing.” Y/N jokes.
“Third question, I know thanks to photos online that you spend some time with your brother, Peter, but have you spent any time with your sister, Morgan?”
Y/N debates on whether she wants to answer the question or not. The answer is no, she hasn’t spent any time with her sister, nor has she met her. She has nothing against Morgan, and she doesn’t blame her for Pepper’s actions, but she’s not sure if Morgan feels the same way. According to Peter, she is close with her mother, and her relationship with Tony is strained due to his shortcomings as a father to her.
Y/N is unsure if Morgan blames her for those shortcomings. It’s because of Tony’s obsession with finding her that caused him to neglect to be a good father for Morgan. It’s because of his resentment and anger toward Pepper’s nonchalance at Y/N being gone and her happiness toward the new baby that caused him to leave Pepper in the first place. It’s because of his grief of losing her that caused him to be unable to hold her until she was three years old.
It wasn’t until Morgan became a teenager did Tony start to step up as her father. He still isn’t perfect, and he can never make up for her younger years, but he is a lot better. Y/N adds Tony and Peter moving to Beacon Hills as another reason for Morgan to be justified to hate her.
Y/N knows that if Derek or Peter knew her thoughts about Morgan, they would tell her that she can’t blame herself for Tony’s mistakes. The choices Tony made were his own, not hers. Right now, she’s told Peter and Tony that the decision to meet, form a relationship, or anything is fully up to Morgan. She doesn’t want to cause any upheaval in Morgan’s life by inserting herself into it. If Morgan wants Y/N in her life, then she will be. If she doesn’t want anything to do with her, that’s okay. If she wants to meet her once and then never again, Y/N will do that too.
She does however know—thanks to Peter—that Morgan has decided that she prefers a private life away from the spotlight. While Peter attends all charity and public events in the Stark name, Morgan likes to stay home away from the crowds and paparazzi. She even keeps away from social media, so she doesn’t see anything about herself or her family.
“Um, I’m going to pass on that question. Morgan is a minor and prefers to stay out of the press. I don’t feel comfortable talking about whatever relationship I may or may not have with her. That’s private and it will stay that way.” Y/N answers. “You have two questions left.”
The guy huffs in frustration, “Fine. Fourth question, what are your thoughts on the theories and videos people were making after it was first brought to the public’s attention that you’re Y/N Stark?”
“I think the best word to describe I how felt, and still feel, about the things people were saying is disappointment. I’m disappointed in how people were, and still are, talking about my family. Honestly, I don’t really care what people say about me,” That’s a lie but she isn’t going to correct herself, “but I am disappointed in the way people talked about my family and the people I love.”
He nods his head in understanding, “Okay, last question, do you plan on changing your name back to Stark?”
No, she doesn’t. To be honest, it’s not even a thought that has crossed her mind. Scott asked her about it once when he saw her driver’s license and her only thought was that she hopes Derek proposes before Tony asks so she has an excuse that won’t hurt his feelings.
“Maybe, I guess we’ll see,” Y/N says instead. “Now, you can be on your way, and I’ll make sure to let the front desk know I refuse to see you if you come back with anything less than a life-threatening injury. Hopefully, that will keep you away and make you reconsider faking injuries and illnesses, and taking a room away from someone who actually needs it.”
He hits the stop button before turning off his phone and thanking her for answering his questions. He follows her out of the room and rushes out of the building to start working on his paper.
“What’s that about?” Melissa asks, watching the boy run out of the hospital.
Y/N rolls her eyes and sighs, “Just another person who wanted to interview me. I humored him for a few questions before I told him to not come back unless he’s dying.” She hands Melissa the boy’s file that’s in her hand. “Can you put a note in his file to let the others know I won’t see him if he comes back unless necessary?”
“That’s like the fourth one this month,” Melissa laughs in disbelief.
“What can I say, I’m famous,” Y/N winks at her. She and Melissa both know how much she hates the amount of attention she’s gotten since Kate exposed her. At one point in her life, she dreamed of being a star that everyone loved and was extremely famous. Now she wishes she could go back to being a nobody.
“When do you get off today?”
“I have about four hours left and then I’m out of here. I’ve got to go home a prepare myself for family dinner.” Y/N says, grabbing a new patient’s clipboard.
“I heard Stiles telling Scott about that. Is this the first dinner with all of you together?”
“Yep, and I’m already regretting it.”
Melissa lets out a laugh, “I’m sure it will be fine, and if it isn’t, you can tell me all about it tomorrow.”
“I actually have the next two days off, so it will be a few days until I can give you a play-by-play.” With her working so many shifts to make up for her unintended long absence, she decided she needed two days to take a break. She’s exhausted and just wants to sleep in for a day.
“I can’t wait.”
---
“Hey! Where’s Stiles?” Y/N asks as she greets her dad. He’s the first one to arrive for dinner and she expected Stiles to be with him.
“He said that he could drive himself here, so I drove here straight after work.” The sheriff replies, pulling Y/N into a big hug.
“Okay, well, the others should be here soon if you want to go ahead and sit at the table, or I can turn the TV on, and you can sit in the living room and wait.”
“Where’s Derek?” He questions.
“In here!” Derek calls out from the kitchen.
The sheriff follows Y/N into the kitchen to see Derek checking on the rolls in the oven. “How are you, Derek?”
“I’m good, sir. How are you?” Derek asks, shaking Noah’s hand in greeting.
“Well, I’m still here so I guess I’m good.”
“Dad, why don’t you sit down, and I’ll help Derek finish up,” Y/N says, gesturing her hand toward their dining table. She moves to help Derek when there’s a knock on the front door. “Never mind.”
Walking toward the front door, she can hear two heartbeats on the other side. Opening the door, Tony and Peter are now standing in front of her, “Hey. Thanks for coming.” She hugs them both as they enter the loft.
They had a few conversations after taking down Kate and the hunters, but they are still a little awkward around each other. Y/N and Peter not so much, but she isn’t sure how to navigate a relationship with Tony. She doesn’t want to come off as she doesn’t care about him, but she also needs time to get used to having another dad.
With Peter it’s different. They’re close in age and they have the shared trauma from Hydra. She also feels like she talking to Stiles most of the time.
Y/N shuts the door behind them, she leads them into the kitchen. She pulls out her phone to text Stiles as they greet Derek and Noah. Tony and Peter sit down at the table, and she helps Derek bring the food over.
She looks down at her phone when it vibrates in her hand, “Stiles says he’s a bit caught up and that we should start without him. He’ll be a bit late.”
“What’s he caught up with?” Derek asks, sitting at the head of the table next to Noah and Y/N.
“He didn’t say.” She hopes it’s just something to do with school and not supernatural-related.
“So, Derek, when are you going to start working on your old house?” Peter asks Derek. Y/N has told him a bit about Derek’s plans, but she hasn’t told him everything.
“Um, soon. I’m waiting until after I hire someone to help out at the shop.” Derek replies. A few people have applied to the open position, but two of them ended up being Avengers fans who faked their resumes.
“You know who would probably be interested in the position, Barnes,” Tony says. “He would know what to do and he’s been looking for a job.”
Bucky hasn’t applied to any yet, but he has a few saved. He’d been thinking about taking a step back from the Avengers for a bit. After seeing the files and the videos of what happened to Y/N, they seemed to trigger some bad memories that he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. He’s also had several nightmares about what they could’ve possibly done to Y/N if she wasn’t rescued when she was.
Derek shares a small look with Y/N as if to ask for help with what he should say, “Yeah, I could send him the listing to see if he’s interested, or it’s on our website too. At least, that’s what Lydia told me.”
Y/N shrugs her shoulders a little when Derek looks back at her. She’s not going to tell Derek whether he should hire him or not, or even give Bucky a chance. It’s Derek’s business so that decision is completely up to him.
Tony opens his mouth to say something else, but Y/N decides to interrupt him. She’s sure Tony is about to say something that he thinks will be helpful for Derek, and she knows Derek probably doesn’t care to hear it. Derek likes doing things his way and he doesn’t always love people injecting their opinions. “So, Dad, is there anything you’d like to tell me?”
Y/N ignores the longing look in Tony’s eyes as she speaks to the other man who raised her.
“Uh, not to my knowledge, no.” Sheriff Stilinski doesn’t know what she’s talking about. The tone in her voice says he should, but he can’t think of anything.
“Really?” Y/N looks down at his left ring finger where his wedding ring used to be.
“Right, I may or may not have a date tomorrow night.”
“Good for you,” Derek says proudly, patting him on the back. They haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but he and the sheriff have grown closer after he started dating Y/N. It was rough at first, but they started to get along after the sheriff saw how well Derek took care of Y/N after she was attacked one night by a hunter. They bonded that night as Y/N rested. It’s why Derek knows that the sheriff going on a date is a big deal for him.
“Who’s it with?” Y/N asks with a teasing smile.
“It’s with someone you know,” Noah says, keeping it vague.
“Well, it’s not with Melissa because she would’ve told me. But you also didn’t tell me until now. Oh my god, you’re date’s with Melissa.”
“No, it’s not.”
“Deaton?”
“It’s with a woman.”
“Well, who else do I know that’s at an appropriate age for you to date?” Y/N mutters mostly to herself.
Tony and Peter silently eat their food and watch the conversation with amused smiles on their faces. They like seeing Y/N with a smile on her face. It’s a lot better than what she looked like when dealing with Hydra, the hunters, and Derek getting shot with an arrow.
“It’s Lydia’s mom,” Derek states.
Noah looks at him a little shocked. He didn’t expect Derek to guess correctly or even chime in. “How’d you know?”
“I didn’t, but I do now.” Derek sends a triumph wink toward Y/N. She’s a little surprised he’s showing this side of himself with Tony and Peter here. With strangers, and sometimes the pack, he prefers to only let them see him as the tall, broody guy who doesn’t have many feelings.
“Just don’t tell Stiles. I haven’t told him I’m going on a date yet either.” He looks pointedly toward Y/N.
“Fine. My lips are sealed.” Y/N pretends to zip her lips for added effect. “What about you Peter? How’s MJ?”
The last time Peter had talked to her about MJ he wasn’t sure about the direction of their relationship. He loves her, but she’s still in college going for her master’s and he’s moving to Beacon Hills to be closer to his sister. They hadn’t decided if they wanted to try long-distance, have Peter go back and forth, or if they should call it quits for now.
Y/N told him that she shouldn’t be the reason his relationship with MJ should change. He just replies that he thought she was dead for several years and has missed out on being in her life, so he doesn’t plan on missing anymore.
“She’s good. We still haven’t decided what we’re going to do yet.” Peter replies, keeping his eyes down on the food on his plate to avoid looking at her.
“How has it been at the hospital? Are people still showing up and harassing you?” Tony asks, turning the attention away from Peter because he can feel he doesn’t want to talk about MJ.
“Yeah, we had a guy come in today asking me questions. It’s the fifth time he’s been in this week.” Y/N rolls her eyes in annoyance.
Tony frowns at her answer. He offered her a job to work with the Avengers in their medical wing to avoid the crazy press and fans and to spend more time with her, but she declined. She likes her job, and she likes that she can help her brother and friends by having her job.
“He’s been in five times?” Derek questions, his tone on the protective side.
“Yeah, he’s some college guy who wanted to interview me for some school project.”
“College guy?” “Didn’t the school year just start?” Derek and Peter question at the same time.
“He said it was for a paper for his criminology class. I let him ask me a few questions and then told the front desk not to let him back unless he’s dying.”
“What questions did he ask you?” Peter asks.
“Like ‘how did I react when I found out’ and ‘how did I feel about the videos people were making about me.’ I gave him five questions and only answered the ones I wanted to.” Y/N shrugs like it’s no big deal. “I only did it so that he’d stop wasting the staff’s time with his fake injuries and illnesses.”
“Has Stiles told you if he’s on his way?” Noah asks, changing the subject.
Y/N checks her phone and sees that Stiles hasn’t texted her, “Nope, but you know how he gets. He probably lost track of time, or he’s still caught up in whatever he’s doing.”
The table goes quiet, and everyone continues eating. No one knows what to say. This isn’t the first dinner they’ve had together, but they all typically end in silence. They do some polite small talk in the beginning—mostly everyone only speaking to Y/N—then finish their food in silence.
Derek takes his and Y/N’s empty plates to the sink when they're done. Y/N packs up some of the leftovers for her dad to take home.
“I should go. I’ve got a long shift in the morning.” Noah says. He pats Derek on the shoulder as a goodbye. He takes the leftovers from Y/N’s hands and follows her to the front door. “I’m assuming you’re going to show up to the station before my date tomorrow.”
“You know me so well.” Y/N smiles, hugging him goodbye. “See you tomorrow. Love you.”
“Love you too.” He closes the door behind himself as he leaves. Y/N turns to Tony and Peter who are ready to leave as well.
“Thanks for having us over. Dinner was good.” Tony says, putting his jacket back on that he took off while eating.
“Thanks for coming,” Y/N says, hugging them both goodbye. “My schedule is starting to slow down so I’ll let you know when I’m free for us to do something.” She notices Tony perk up at the thought of spending more time with her.
She waves at them goodbye before closing and locking the loft door. Sighing in exhaustion, she turns to see Derek standing and staring at her with a familiar lovestruck look in his eyes.
“I feel like I could sleep for a week,” Y/N says, slowly walking over to him.
Derek wraps his arms around her when she reaches him, “Well, I’ve done the dishes, so how about we go upstairs, take a nice hot bath, and then get you to bed?”
“Keep saying things like that and I’ll get on one knee right now and ask you to marry me.”
“I prefer when you get on both knees.”
Y/N scoffs at his joke, “Just take me upstairs to a bath. If you treat me right, maybe the bath could turn into something more.”
“I’m holding you to that,” Derek says. Y/N lets out a laugh when Derek wraps his arms around her thighs and picks her up, carrying her upstairs.
---
Y/N slowly opens her eyes to see Derek asleep next to her. She smiles a little at how cute he looks when he’s asleep. Turning to the clock on her bedside table, she notices that it’s almost midnight. She’s only been asleep for a little over an hour and she’s not sure what woke her up. As she turns back to Derek, their bedroom door flies open.
“Y/N?” Stiles calls out from the doorway.
“What the fuck Stiles?” Y/N groans, clamping her eyes shut when he flicks on the bedroom light. She can feel Derek waking up next to her. “Why the fuck are you here so late?”
Stiles walks into the room and sits on the bed next to Y/N, “I feel like I’m going crazy and you’re the only one that believes me.” Y/N can smell that he reeks of anxiety.
“Go home,” Derek groans, wraps an arm around Y/N’s waist, and pulls her in closer to him, pushing his face into the back of her neck to try and hide from the light.
Y/N sighs, using her hands to block the ceiling light, “You can tell me what’s going on after you turn off the light.”
Stiles huffs in frustration but gets up and turns off the light before sitting back on the bed, “There’s something off about Theo but no one believes me. Scott thinks I should give him the benefit of the doubt and that, even if he is bad, everyone is savable.”
“Does some of this have to do with why you didn’t show up to dinner?”
“Sorry about that. Me and Liam followed him around to see what he’d do.”
“And what did he do?”
“We may have followed him to the bridge near where his sister was found.” Stiles mumbles, fiddling with the drawstrings on his hoodie.
“He could’ve noticed you following him and put on a ‘good guy’ act,” Y/N says, trying to think of something that would support Stiles’ theory.
“Don’t encourage him,” Derek mumbles sleepily behind her.
“I broke into the administration office and found the transfer form his dad signed and compared it to a speeding ticket he signed eight years ago. The signatures are completely different.” Stiles says. He knows he’s right about Theo and he doesn’t get why Scott doesn’t believe him.
“Okay, I believe you. Look, I’m exhausted so how about we get some sleep and talk about this some more later? You’ve got school tomorrow, so you need some sleep too.” Y/N says as gently as she can. She doesn’t want him to feel like she doesn’t believe him either, but she might fall back asleep any minute now. “You know you are welcome to the guest room. It’s practically yours now anyway.”
“Can I sleep in here tonight?” Stiles asks shyly.
“No,” Derek answers quickly.
“Not like in your bed, but like can I drag the guest room’s mattress in here and sleep on it on the floor?”
Even in the dark, Y/N can see the vulnerability in his eyes, “Yes, you can sleep in here.” Stiles smiles and runs out of the room toward the guest room.
“You should’ve said no,” Derek groans.
“He’s worried about his friends and senior year has been giving him a lot of anxiety after asking Dad about his high school buddies.”
“How has that given him so much anxiety that he stinks of it?”
“Dad told him that he no longer speaks to any of his friends from high school and he’s scared him and his friends will end up the same way.”
Derek sighs, “Fine, but him staying in here is a one-time thing.”
Y/N starts to reply when Stiles comes back into the room, pulling the guest bedroom mattress behind him with one hand and his pillows and blankets in the other. He puts the mattress against the wall that faces Y/N’s side of the bed.
He puts his pillows down on the mattress before laying down and wrapping his blankets around himself, “Okay, goodnight. Don’t do anything gross since I’m here.”
Y/N rolls her eyes at his last sentence, “Goodnight Stiles.”
As she starts to drift back off to sleep, she hears Stiles speak again, “Y/N?”
“What?”
“Did you notice that Dad stopped wearing his ring?”
“Yeah,” Y/N replies gently.
“Do you think he’s met someone?”
“You’d have to ask him that.” She would’ve responded with yes, but she promised her dad earlier that she wouldn’t tell Stiles because he wanted to be the one to do it.
“I just want him to be happy,” Stiles says, staring up at the ceiling.
“Me too.”
There’s a moment of silence before Stiles says, “I miss Mom.”
“Me too.”
“Okay, goodnight,” Stiles rolls over to his side to face the wall.
“Goodnight,” Y/N pushes herself back into Derek’s loose embrace. After Stiles laid out the mattress, he was out like a light. She starts to drift off again when Stiles interrupts her again.
“Hey Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for believing me.”
“Always.”

New Horizons Legacy Challenge
"You’ve never really had anything or anyone to call home. You grew up without a family and a part of the foster care system. You could never stay in one home long and as a teenager you decided to just run away and wonder the world in search of somewhere you could belong. As an adult you continued wondering until you came across a remote, abandoned village. You notice a flyer from the mayor advertising free land for help settling the town. You’ve always wanted a home and maybe this is the perfect chance to try and settle down and create a home and family of your own. "
Welcome to the New Horizons Challenge. This challenge is heavily based on the It Takes a Village challenge by Pixieleaf, but also incorporates aspects of several other challenges I’ve been wanting to explore like the Lucid Legacy, Sims in Bloom, Build a City challenge. The main aspects of the challenge follow the Settler’s Challenge/It Takes a Village challenge plus additions of the Build A City challenge with some adjustments and updates for new aspects of gameplay.
This is a challenge that encourages you to build and create your own sims world! Its the perfect challenge for long cozy gameplay or a mix of storytelling and gameplay.
Goals
Build and populate your world, and lift all restrictions.
Fill up an empty Museum with collectibles (you can choose to collect all or just a few collections)
Learn and explore the sims 4 with different generation goals, personalities and careers.
Overall, have fun with it!
Setting up
Life span is your choice!
Create a single sim to serve as your founder. You can give them any aspiration or traits but you might prefer relating both of them to your generation goal.
You can start with a YA or Teen, but if your founder is a teen they must drop out of high school since there is no school yet
Select your starting world
Bulldoze all lots or I recommend using this blank save file and build or place your Town Hall/Museum
Place 2 additional residential lots with a family size of 1-2 sims
Start off on an empty lot with $5000 simoleons.
You can start with $0 for an extra challenge
Rules
You can’t keep any of the money a sim brings with them when moving in.
Use a dice roller online to determine how many children a sim can have unless otherwise required in the rules
Choose the heir based on whatever method you prefer as long as they are the child of your founder/previous heir.
Your founders/heirs' children must move out when they turn into young adults.
Selecting Traits
Infant traits should be random
Toddler traits can be selected if you achieve top-notch infant trait
Child traits can be selected if you Happy Toddler trait
Teen traits can be selected if your sim completes the first two stages of their childhood aspiration
Adult traits can be selected if your sims completes the first stage of their teen aspiration
Start collecting! you can sell any collectibles you want to help with money but remember you need to fill up your museum over the generations.
The next generation starts once your current founder/heir has completed their generations goals.
Tiny homes are acceptable to help boost your skills
Neighborhood stories can be used if you want a little extra chaos. I would be careful with which events you allow as random deaths and adoptions could really change your population.
Each generation will have a coordinating color just for fun and because I enjoy color coordinating my sims.
Populating Your World
The only residential and communities lots you should have in the beginning are:
The Museum
2 residential lots with a family size of 1-2 sims
Your chosen lot to start the challenge on
Rules for adding families:
When you are allowed to add a family, you can create them or download them. Roll the dice to determine the number of sims within the household (1 to 6).
Animals do not count for household number rolls, so feel free to load up the pets!
Different ways to populate your world:
Have babies!
You can use your Charisma skill to persuade people to join your colony: You can add one family for every sim in your family who has reached level 5 in Charisma.
You can also attract people by hosting great parties. You may add one family for every type of party for which you’ve got a gold medal. You can only invite people who live in your colony to your parties, you can’t invite homeless people!
Improving the services and the infrastructure in your colony will also make people move into your community. You may add one family for every community lot you add.
Restrictions and how to lift them
School
There is no school in your colony.
Requirements for lifting this restriction:
There must be at least twelve people living in your colony (your family included).
Medicine
Hospital births are not allowed and woohooing may always lead to a pregnancy (roll the dice! 1 means you need to pick the interaction Try for baby instead, and if you roll 2-6 you can just pick Woohoo).
If you have mods such as Wonderful/Wicked Whims or Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul you can use these to always have a chance of pregnancy.
Requirements for lifting this restriction:
A sim must reach Level 5 in the Wellness skill or complete the Doctor career (if Get to Work is owned).
Donate 2,500 simoleons to represent medical equipment.
Electricity/Water
There is no electricity yet. Your entire lot must be off-the-grid
Requirements for lifting this restriction:
There must be at least four different community lots in your colony AND your heir must have 6 skill points in Handiness
Stores/Services
There is no way to go to the store (i.e have magical refrigerators full of food). All lots must use Simple Living and no services can be called
Requirements for lifting this restriction:
Must complete the first generation
Unlock Retail Shops
There must be at least 20 sims in your colony (you need sims to work these jobs)
Careers
You may not have a normal job as there aren’t any companies or infrastructure. Careers are therefore not allowed, but you may use other means to earn money (painting, collecting, gardening, fishing etc.)
Requirements for lifting this restriction:
Unlock careers as you unlock coordinating community lots
i.e Unlock the culinary career once you get a cafe/restaurant
For careers that do not have coordinating community lots use the following requirements:
There must be at least five different community lots in your colony
There must also be at least thirty people living in your colony (including your family)
ADDING COMMUNITY LOTS
When a community lot has a certain cost, you can either pay for that lot or try to fill the other requirements, in which case you won’t have to pay anything. If you decide to pay, just use a money cheat to reduce your money by the required amount.
Community Gathering Spot/Wedding Venue
Requirements to Unlock
Heir must reach Level 6 in Handiness
Donate 2,000 simoleons toward community improvements
This should preferably be the first public building or venue that you create as it gives a good spot for community to events/parties. There are lots of lot type options for this so choose whichever you prefer

The patch is expected to drop next Tuesday, February 25th, bringing not only repairs to the game, but also whatever surprise they have been hyping up since before the latest roadmap.Advertisement
Read the full blog post below.
Hi Simmers!
Welcome to the Laundry List where we’ll share a list of the top community concerns that we’re currently investigating and hope to have resolved in the upcoming patch.
The list below is part of our effort to tackle technical issues, and is directly influenced by the amount of community reports through AnswersHQ and The Sims 4 EA Forums. We have now fully moved all bug reporting to the EA Forums, so please continue to upvote or submit any issues you are experiencing to help us populate future laundry lists!
While some issues may not be listed here, they may still be in the process of being addressed. Some topics can require an extended investigation on our end, so even though these fixes may be in active review, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in the upcoming patch.
As with each new patch, please remember to remove any external game mods and custom content if you are experiencing issues as the first step in troubleshooting, as they may conflict with the updates. Happy Simming, vadish!

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 28 (The Trouble With Marcus Flex)
Heather received great news from the developers of VetConnect when they agreed to help her build the PetConnect extension. They believed it would be successful and might even give her enough to buy out the Landgraabs, but for now, she just had to get it finished.
At work the next morning, she thanked her problematic vet tech, Marcus Flex, for the idea. But ever-flirty Marcus took it as something more.
He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers. Heather pulled back immediately. "Half the clients who walk in here might fall to a puddle at your feet when you kiss them like that, but I'm your employer, Marcus."
"I'm sorry, Doc. I thought-"
"I should fire you. I can't because you kissed me and it'll look personal, but this is your last chance. Pull your socks up around here, or you'll have to find another place to work."
He was twenty-one years old and noncommittal by nature, but he finally started paying attention in his evening classes and began to pull his weight around the clinic.
Then one day, a girl came in with her family’s German Shepherd, Jax. She wiped tears from her eyes as she signed him in.
Instantly, Marcus was taken with her, approaching her and her dog with more trepidation than Heather had ever seen in him. "Hi, uh, my name's Marcus Flex. I'm sorry to see you looking so sad, but we'll take care of your dog and make him feel good as new."
"My mom was supposed to bring Jax for his annual check-up today, but she just died of heatstroke from the heat wave," she said gloomily. "I miss her so much."
Marcus wanted to reach out and comfort her, but his boss was watching nearby with a stern glare. "I'm so sorry for your loss, Miss...?"
"Thomasine Chopra."
Heather poured herself an espresso and smiled at Thomasine and her pet. "How are classes going at Deadgrass Isle High School, Thomasine?"
"We took a few weeks off to mourn my mom. Dad took us to the city to distract us, I think, but I couldn't sit through math class so I'm grateful. Needless to say, my last year of classes will start a little late."
Marcus looked away, flustered.
"I'm so sorry," Heather said. "When I heard about your mother's death I couldn't believe it. I can't imagine what you're going through."
"The card was really sweet, and Jax loves his Buttercups. Everyone in town's been great, and they've made things a little bit easier."
"Well, Marcus will take extra good care of Jax today, and I'm always here if you or your family need anything. Not just for Jax."
Heather's endlessly flirtatious vet tech had caused her as much grief as he'd proven he wasn't entirely hopeless. She couldn't help but think he needed guidance, and while they closed up at the end of the day, Heather warned him to wait for Thomasine Chopra. "I don't care if she's 18 already. If you think your feelings mean anything this time, keep your distance until graduation or I will fire you."
Marcus nodded, still a little shell-shocked by his new affections.
Could Heather continue to manage motherhood, the Landgraabs, and her clinic? ->
<- Previous Chapter | Gen 2 Start | Gen 1 Summary | Gen 1 Start
NOTE: When Heather opened her clinic, Marcus was one of the sims she could hire and I went for it immediately because I love playing with premades. But then Marcus became an obnoxious NPC who made out with every single customer constantly because the Romantic Aura Action Plan had been default activated in Brindleton Bay. It all gave unflirty Heather a negative 'witnessed crass moment' moodlet EVERY TIME. So I finally decided to give him a storyline with the intention of moving him into the save file so he'll age naturally, make nooboos, etc. Somewhat unfortunately this is the only unmarried sim Marcus wanted because I also hadn't adjusted my age gap romance settings after playing the Ultimate Decades Challenge in my last save, so YA and teens could flirt etc.
All this to say I promise I won't let Marcus become a complete toad. Since I love my premades, I'm plotting a decent arc because this save did him a little dirty.

( laz alonso . cis male . he/him ) . ⸻ abel d'angelo , a fifty year old , has survived another day in red creek where they have lived for thirty-four years . the catalyst is known for being passionate and argumentative and is often associated with old leather jackets stained with years of wear and grime ; an old motorcycle's association stitched into the back ; despite its age it looks well loved and never free from heavy shoulders / large hearts doesn't always mean soft ; something that beats so strongly has to have grit to it, it has to be able to bear burdens and that's exactly what you're known for / looking behind you is never going to get you anywhere, the only place to go is forward ; keep your eyes forward or lose them to the blinding lights of the past. . in a small town where they work as co-owner of redstone bar word travels fast . it’s hard to keep a secret , and it looks like the boogeyman knows that [ LOUD SCREECH OF TIRES ]
full name: abel joseph d'angelo. nickname(s): angel, abe. age: fifty. zodiac sun sign: taurus. birth date: may 2nd. gender & orientation: cis man, he + him & demisexual. place of birth: detroit, michigan. occupation: co-owner of redstone bar, rider with the steel wings motorcycle gang club. familial ties: spouse of 28 years ( wc tba ), two children ( wcs tba ), younger sibling ( wc tba ). height: 6'0".
CHARACTER INSPOS : jax teller ( sons of anarchy ), luke cage ( marvel ), corvo attano ( dishonored ), herc hansen ( pacific rim ).
FAST FACTS ⸻
was born in detriot, michigan, but due to abel's uncle needing to retire from ownership of the redstone bar, the family moved into red creek when abel was 16 years old. it was a relatively easy adjustment for abel, since they found themselves drawn to adventuring. as a teen abel was a bit rowdy, getting into trouble for all of the right reasons. apart of wrestling in his high school years really made him the wrong kid to let you see shoving someone into a locker or determining someone as "lesser".
often hung around redstone prior to being 18, working under the table and helping his dad with random tasks. overall, they were pretty friendly growing up in a social setting. during his time working for his father and living in red creek, eventually he briefly dated choi dasom for a total of 2 months before breaking it off. it wasn't long after their breakup that dasom went missing, making abel and his new relationship with his current spouse a bit of a rumor factory. it eventually died out once he asserted himself as uninvolved, but the thought still may remain in old red creek's residents minds. it didn't help he was a known close friend of casimir's, the charismatic musician later murdered. abel seemed to take this extremely personal and almost shut himself off from getting that close to anyone else for the entirety of the string of disappearances and murders.
an active community member who tries his damndest to be involved despite his reclusive behavior. like his father before him, he's a man of community. such is why redstone is open place to be with comedy nights still upheld, the live band, and frequent pitstops for motorcycle gangs.
sometime in the last 10 years, abel's interest in motorcycles lead him to becoming a tertiary member of a motorcyclist group called the steel wings. occasionally he will ride with them and be gone for a span of 2 months, hence his decision to acquire a co-owner for redstone bar which became zakaria singh. nonetheless, there are times he can't stand to be within the walls he once stood beside long gone friends. however, there are times you'll catch him bartending and chatting in order to keep his face and stay involved with his patrons. he likes to know what is going on and remain his own bouncer in times where shit gets too messy.
a family man above all else. despite disagreements and roadbumps with his fast marriage to [TBA], all roads lead back to family. when it comes to decisions, there is always a thought about his spouse and children present. despite everything he is a warmhearted man and this extends to those who stick around him or become regulars.
hobbies include: mechanic tinkering, boxing, morning jogs, motorcycling, life-long standup comedy enjoyer.
POTENTIAL FOR MORE TBA.
#redcreek.intro#i love this man more than you could ever imagine and im happy to get to play him finally .... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

summary : you and your aunt moved in to Hawkins, Indiana, you got your last year of senior high and got a job at Family Video, you finally made friends and this place feels like home until you met Eddie, you never know what love feels like unbeknownst to you he is not truly human what you thought he is
word count : the is the most longest one part fic that I ever written I'm sorry 😭
warnings : (18+) Vampire!Eddie Munson x FEM! reader, Eddie & reader are virgins, language, use of (y/n) losing a loved one, Eddie is (19), reader is (18), protected sex, Eddie being the most adorable and caring vampire ever, natural disaster (earthquake), reader is oblivious to Eddie's true nature, I added the KAS THEORY a little bit in this, idk if this is considered a spoiler but reader will sacrifice her mortality 👀
what to expect : angst, fluff, eventual smut, but I promise this has a good ending
note to reader : I've been wanting to write a fic about Eddie being a vampire and I hope you'll enjoy this! 🫶🏻
author note : I love Gorillaz so much, they're like my favorite band ever, if you haven't listen to this song yet and yes this is where I got the idea hahaha you should listen to it first! 👇🏻
It's April 16 1988
You and your Aunt Katherine moved to another town again called Hawkins, Indiana
Ever since in your early teens, you got used to it, moved here and there
Your aunt took care for you, when your parents both passed at a very young age of 7
She's the only one you've ever had in your life and you couldn't be more grateful
She did the best that she can to give you what you needed, she treated you well, she thought you the how to deal things with life
You loved her very dearly, it just saddens you to move on again to another town- she wants to have a partner again in her life, on every slight inconveniences the next thing you know is packing up all of your stuff and leave immediately
All the memory of Uncle Charlie is a bit hazy and you couldn't quite remember everything of it but you know, he is an amazing husband whenever your Aunt talks about him, you can see the way her eyes glow
You struggle to adjust into the new environment and make new friends, Perhaps?.... as if you ever made one
But this time, you wanted to stay for real this time, you wanna settle down and have a real life
Thankfully, is the last year of your senior high school and you're just going to need a job after you graduated
Even though your aunt insist not to take any jobs she wants you to go in college as soon after you graduated
But you really wanted to have a job not because of your own needs but you also wanted to help out your aunt
She sadly smiles at you and she sighs in defeat and she saids "Alright, we will look for a perfect job for you"
While your aunt is asking for inquires at a local diner in front of the Family Video
You eye out the store and you don't understand why the sudden pulling inside of you telling you that's the place that you want to work
You cleared your throat "Can I check that out, if you don't mind?"
Your aunt looked around "Yeah, sure, my dear but be back here? alright?"
"Okay" You nod
You crossed down the road and your eyes roam around the small building
You loved movies, you always loved watching movies
You opened the door and the bell chimes, a signal, that a customer enter the premises
"Hi! Welcome to Family Video!" A short dusty blonde hair girl- greeted you with a smile on her face
You like the enthusiastic tone coming out of her voice "uh- thank you" you shrug shyly
You didn't noticed the man coming in a load of big boxes on the side and you bumped to each other and the box fall back down on the ground scattering all of the VHS tapes on the floor
He grunts and sighs warily not until he looked up at you "Oh- I'm sorry I didn't see you there"
"It's my fault, let me help you pick up those"
Before he can protest, he already saw you piling all of the VHS all at once
"My guess this is for the horror section, right?" You held up one "Rosemary's Baby" VHS
"Yes" he responds feeling bad while he watches you picking all of the tapes and placing all of them one by one on the shelf
"Look, you don't have to do this" he says while grabbing all of the VHS at once putting them on the front desk he even doesn't bother to organized them all he just goes straight back to you
"Hey, it's okay, don't sweat it" You say before you crouch down to put the last horror VHS in place
"Actually, I think I might get a job around here" you stand up straight and look at him
He's very attractive, his hazel eyes are pretty and the hair is perfectly styled
He must've been very popular at his school where he studied
"Oh, you are?"
"Yeah"
"I think we have one more available slot for you- he pauses "Shoot- I'm sorry, My name is Steve, Steve Harrington"
He hold out his hand for you and you shake them "it's Y/N"
"Steve, have you-"
You looked around and it's the girl who greeted you earlier
She smirked and you looked back at Steve in confusion
He shakes his head at her "Before you go think of something else, I'm almost finished to organize everything that is delivered right now"
"Ooh, really?" She answers sarcastically
"It's because we have a new assistant now!"
"Wait-woah- Does that mean I'm hired?"
"Yes!" Steve replies fast and you can hear the excitement in his tone
She rolled her eyes at him "Anyways, I'm Robin, Robin Buckley" she reached out for hand and she shakes it aggressively
"You better get used to her over the top energy" Steve chuckles
You giggled "Okay, it's nice to meet you, Robin, I'm Y/N"
"Hey, Robin could you get the papers to sign her up?"
She annoyingly smiles at Steve and goes back to the office
"That was fast?" You furrow your brows in confusion
"What do you mean?"
"That I got the job?" You raise your eyebrow at him
"Ah"
He goes back to the desk organizing every VHS tape in order on the shelf
Not looking at you he replies "It's because you knew the film that you're holding earlier"
"Huh? Is that it?"
"Uh yeah- that's what we needed in here, top 1 most important thing is that you must know or like familiar with films and everything" he says while opening a second box putting out the other new delivered VHS
"Oh"
"and you even place them not just in the horror section" he gestures the last phrase with quotation marks "you also placed them by year!" he breathlessly laughs
"What?"
He motions you to look back at the horror section
"Oh, yeah right" you chuckled
He crouch down to look at it and shaking his head "I can't believe that you know all about this stuff!" he exclaims
"What stuff" Robin says without looking at you both while she's double checking the paper before she gives it to you
"This girl right here" he points to you "is very cultured"
"Say what now?" Robin grins at you as she crouch down next to Steve
She gasps and looks right back at you "You literally organized all of these by year?"
You nod at her and smile
"Wow"
"Exactly"
"Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931)-" Robin cups her face in awe as she reads all the labels again
"Psycho (1960) to Rosemary's Baby (1968)"
"I just place them on the shelf but not like this" Steve is still unbelievable of what you just did
"She freaking place them not just by year but also by decade!"
You watch them as they lose their minds and you can't supress the smile growing widely because you've never had like this before
Maybe.... You finally made friends
Robin stands up straight she walks towards to you "Like how could you know all about this?"
You shrugged "I just love movies that's all"
Steve straighten up as well "Did you go to film class or something?"
"I guess you could say that" you snorted while you put your hands on your pocket
"Wait? Are you in college?" Robin says
"Not yet, I'm going to finish my last year of senior first but yeah Steve's right that's what I want to pursue someday"
Robin nods while Steve listens continuing to put all of the VHS at place
"I-I was supposed to go to college after I graduated that's what my aunt really wanted but I just- you paused
"I want to have a job and uh- I wanna experience it while saving up some money for college" you added
"Well, you found the perfect place" Steve smiles
"Yeah, it's gonna be fun!" Robin agrees
You look in their eyes and you can tell they're very genuine and you smile at them
You heard the car from outside beeping and it's your aunt calling out from you
"Oh, that's my aunt, I- uh I'm gonna go" you say while you're rushing out towards the exit
Steve follows you while your hand rest on the door handle "Before you go, can you start tomorrow? We open at 9am?"
"Yes, I can"
"Good"
"What am I going to wear by the way?"
"You can wear anything you want- we don't have spare uniform around here yet" Robin says while she carries the 2 boxes bringing it outside
"Oh okay, I'll see you guys tomorrow then!"
"Sure thing!" Robin smiles at you
"Bye, Take care" Steve says while waving to you
You look at them for the last time and you push the door forward
"She's really cute and pretty!" Robin says with a eat shiting-grin on her face
Robin feels Steve's eyes rolling "I like her but, very funny, Robs" as he glares at her
She laughs "ooh I wonder what else she likes, maybe she loves rock music" she says as she taps her finger at her chin while thinking deeply
"What makes you say that?"
"I saw her leather bracelet and she wears like black & white colored outfits"
"Just because someone is wearing one doesn't mean they listen to rock music, Robin"
"But what if, she is!"
Steve chuckles "Only way to found out tomorrow"
6:30am in the morning, you woke up
You stretch out your body before getting out of the bed and move the curtains on the side of the window
You're never a morning person as a kid but now you're growing more to like it
You still haven't done unpacking everything yet since you're exhausted yesterday just recently moving in the tow
You sigh as you looked over the baggages in your room instead you showered to freshen up and start rummaging through your luggage
you grab the black bra top, black cardigan and khaki pants
Your aunt made your favorite chicken noodle soup and you smile to yourself as you walk across the kitchen, smelling the aroma more
"Goodmorning, pumpkin" she greets
"Morning!" you smile
Your aunt caught your keen voice as she squints her eyes at you but a smile grows on her lips before she continues to what she was doing
You want to help out your aunt for cooking but she always insists that you sat down on the table
she places the bowl in front of you "What's with you so smiley today?"
"I'm just looking forward for the job that I got yesterday"
"Wait, what- really?" she stopped while holding the serving spoon
"Yeah"
"At the Family Video?"
"Yes!"
"And you're excited about that?"
You smile even wider you can't help but wonder why "Yes I do! I think I made friends as well!"
"You did?"
"Yes!"
"What are their names?"
"Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley"
Your aunt can see the lively vibe into your eyes and she hopes that you will never lose it
She smiles down at you as she fills up your bowl with chicken noodle soup
You sigh at the comfortness around the area and you've never felt this before ever since.... well.... you moved in a lot
You felt happy at those times before but not like this, this is different
Maybe, just maybe..... This is the place that you want to stay
"I'm happy for you, love, but if things go wrong-
"I will always be here whenever you need me" you cut her off by finishing her sentence that she always reminds you
She chuckles as she places a glass of red iced tea
"Eat up, we got a big day ahead of us"
Your aunt drop you off at the Family Video, she decides to take the diner instead, she works as a waitress in there
Steve & Robin are already inside opening all of the windows inside
They seem to focus on what they're doing that they didn't even noticed that you arrived on time
You cleared your throat and they raise their heads in unison
You shyly wave at them
Robin smiles "Perfect timing!"
"Hey there!" Steve greets you
You sheepishly nod at him
Robin walks towards to you and grab your hand as she pull over the desk and she reveals your uniform and your name tag
You gasped as you look over to your uniform
Other people might found this funny because of your reaction looked like you just won the lottery
But this is very new to you and it's a great experience to let yourself feel it, enjoy it and embrace it
"W-Wow, I'm official now?"
"You sure are!" Robin says as she watches you unfold your uniform and couldn't help but smile even more
"You can wear it now, if you want to" Steve says
"Are you kidding? I've been dying to have one of these!"
Steve chuckles and shakes his head at you
"You can go ahead and change in the restroom is just around the corner" Robin says as she directs you to where the bathroom is
"Okay, be right back!" You say as you pick up your stuff and headed towards the restroom
"Isn't she the most lovely human being ever!" Robin admires your kind personality
"I gotta admit, I do" Steve shrugs as he flips the sign on the glass door that says "OPEN"
"We had a bet right?"
"What?"
"A bet that we did, last night"
"Oh- that"
"And I just have the perfect person to talk about it" Robin looks over to Steve shoulder and she grins
Someone enters the store with heavy boots on
Steve already knows who is the person behind him and he sighs in exhaustion
He turns around and he says "Dude, what the hell are you doing in here?"
He's wearing Ray-Bans black sunglasses
"I'll be quick, man, don't worry"
"I'll be quick" Steve mocks him making the man rolls his eyes even though his wearing sunglasses, Steve can see it
"You know it's dangerous for you to go outside, in broad daylight!" Steve exclaims
He sighs "yeah, man, I know, goddamn it just be chill, Harrington" he walked over the Mystery/Thriller section as he halts his tracks
His sensing something..... else
"Don't tell me you're going outside like this often" Steve says sternly
Robin ignoring Steve "Uh- I'm going to say something about-"
The man just hushes them both
They both went silent and Steve looked over to Robin and she just shrugs
He can smell you, he can even hear the beat of your heart
He takes a deep breath and he narrows his piercing red glowing eyes to his friends
But before they can say anything, he heard the restroom door open as he swiftly snaps his head looking at you
you unbeknownst to what's going around at the store and the strange man that came in
You're wearing a walkman and you're listening to "Deep Purple - Child In Time" with your head down and you swing your bag over your shoulder fixing your uniform more properly
He removed his sunglasses with his lips apart
The man could've sworn to himself that he is dead, he felt alive again just seeing your presence, even though his heart isn't the same anymore since.... the disaster happened
It's been 2 years and yet here you are, he thought he would've never feel anything that is human but now.... he is feeling something again and that intrigues him
You feel eyes on you
Your raise your head and you have locked eyes at the peculiar man standing not too far from you
He can feel and read your mind, emotions towards him, you're curious and somehow.... intimidated?
That's what he is afraid of.... but that changes when you started walking towards him with a smile on your face
You remove your walkman headset and pause the cassette
Steve and Robin shared a knowing look with each other as they smirk behind the man
"Oh, hello, I'm Y/N" you offer your hand to shake hands with him
You asking him? to shake hands with you?
He blinked and swallowed he becomes nervous as he couldn't said a word
You furrow your brows while you reach out for his hand and he shakes it "and you are?"
"I-I'm Edward Munson- b-but you can call me, Eddie" he stutters and he winces at the awkward answer but you find it cute
The one thing that you noticed, it's not even winter yet but his hand feels.... cold... not that it's weird is just it's summer but you don't pay attention to it...maybe....it's because he's nervous
"Hi, Eddie is a pleasure to meet you, I just recently moved here."
"You do?"
"Yeah, just yesterday"
He looked back at his friends raising his eyebrows
"And that what I've been meaning to tell you" Robin sighs
"She's on her first day of the job!" Steve says while putting his hands over his waist
"Are you picking up a movie?" You asked
"Uh- yeah- I was"
You nod "What kind?"
He got confused by your question and you chuckled "What I mean what kind of movie genre"
"Oh, I get it" he admires your features carefully your eyes, lips, smile, nose, even your voice.... is making him melt
You move yourself beside him and that shocks him, he's never been close to a human girl in his life.... except for his friends though
"You're looking for a Mystery/Thriller film?"
"Yeah, I am"
You look over the VHS section, you found that catches your eye but before you put it out from the shelf, you ask him first
"Are you looking for something that is uh- spooky?"
He tears his eyes away from you while you lean down bending beside him
You didn't even noticed that he is watching you, my god- you're so beautiful- it hurts
He clears his throat "I-I'm kinda into some kind of action"
Steve scrunches up his brows "Since when?"
Robin elbows him with Steve saying "OW!"
"Don't mess up with the moment" she whispers
You picked it up and give it to him
He take it out your grasps and he reads the title "Die Hard"
"You gotta love it" you told him
He smiles to you "Okay"
Robin presses her lips together as she can't control her excitement
"Say- uh- Eddie- I think Y/N is also into rock music" Robin says as she throw her arm around your shoulder with a grin
"How- did you?-" you say as you turn your head on Robin
"You are?"
"Oh- yeah I am"
"What kind?" he echoes the question that you asked him earlier
"Heavy metal, speed metal, glam rock, hard rock, blues, psychedelic rock and so much more" you say as you motion your hands for far more wide
Eddie's eyes almost bulge out of his head "Really? No way!" he jumps out of exhilaration
"Yes, I do!"
You mirrored his enthusiasm as you jump at the same time- you didn't even realized you both holding each other's hands
Robin face turn into such a satisfaction as she turn into Steve mouthing to him "Pay me"
Steve rolls his eyes at her with a smile as he digs out of his pocket a dollar and gives it to Robin
You share each other's interests as you both looked down
you rip your hands from him immediately while smiling sheepishly at him
Eddie scratches the back of his neck
"Are you going to pay for that, Munson?" Steve asks
"Right" he responds as he holds up the VHS you gave to him
Before he can leave the store he turn around and say "Can we hang out sometime?" he shyly asks
"Sure, Eddie, I would love to"
"Oh, okay good, what day are you available?"
"I could hang out with you tomorrow if you want"
"T-That's perfect!" his voice raises a bit much that gives two of his friends shared giggles and he shakes his head at the sight of them
You laugh "See ya, tomorrow, Eddie"
"You too, sweet thing" he gives you a smile before he exits
and that's where all it began....
Everytime you bond with each other, you two became close, literally inseparable
You even met his amazing friends that you very liked in the first place that you met them
Dustin, Max, Lucas, El, Mike, Nancy, Will, Jonathan, Chief Hopper (but he prefers to be called Jim) Joyce, Murray, Karen, Ted, Enzo
You notice something again in their eyes, you can't even read it what it means but you never really mind it about anyways
The first thought comes to your mind, maybe.... they're observing you- they feel like they should get to know you first before trusting you
Are they hiding something from you? or maybe they're just being careful or it's just their instinct
But at the same time it doesn't add up, if they won't trust you they shouldn't be inviting you to hang out during weekends or inviting you and your aunt on dinner
You have done it, countless amount of times already.... and it's overwhelming to you because.... this never happen to you before
One time though, you made garlic buttered shrimp that Eddie almost runaway at the smell of it, you thought he didn't like the food and you can see he is scared.... like you can't even explain it- it looks like you're going to hate him?
Eddie on the other hand can read your mind and he wishes if anything happens, if ever you found out about him, he hopes that you will never change towards him
"Oh, are you allergic to seafood?"
"U-uh- yeah I am" he quietly sighs of relief
You gasped "My deepest apologies, I am so sorry I didn't mean any harm" you say as you moved away the food from him
You met Eddie's uncle, Wayne, that's your first impression again
You got intimidated, but that got off as well as soon as he acts so friendly to you
He has the exact same qualities with his nephew
He is so sweet and kind like Eddie
Sometimes you caught them looking at each other with a look that again.... you couldn't understand
There's also no mirrors in their trailer
There's mirrors in some of his friend's house but all of them are covered with a fabric
You find it odd but you can't stop yourself from being curious though
Also....
One night, you came home late from work since you insist to take the night shift from Robin- you couldn't quite understand the reason why the sudden she has to leave
It's about a "Code Red?"
Steve didn't want to leave you behind but you heard Dustin's voice coming out from the walkie-talkie shouting
"Bring Steve with you, y-you guys better come in here right now! It's urgent!"
Judging by the tone of his voice, it is very serious and you hate yourself for thinking this is kind of a sick joke but it really is not
You drag your brows together but you don't wanna pry and it's really none of your business but you wanted to know what's going on though
Robin almost dragging Steve out of the store
He really didn't wanna go and you can't understand why, the more you try to convince Steve that you'll be okay and you can see in his eyes that it's highly unlikely that you'll be fine,
alone.
It's closer to 12:00am, you packed up your stuff and you make sure all of doors from the back door and the office are locked and you switch off the lights and close the store
The cold wind made you shudder a little
Your aunt take the bus ride home she leaves you with the car, while on your way to it- you didn't know that there's a man holding out a knife to harm you
Before he can attack you, there's a wind swoosh behind your back, you turn around and you notice there's nothing in there- you roam your eyes everywhere
There's no one
You felt nervous and you grip on your car keys as you quickly unlock the door
There's 'clang' of a trashcan that flew into the air and that made you shrieked and you drop your keys on the ground
You take a deep breath and you shout
"Whoever you are! Show yourself!"
Eddie can feel your fear and he feels bad he's the one that caused it but he doesn't want anyone to hurt you, he won't let anyone to do that to you
His eyes are red, his hands are bloody, and his fangs were out.... good thing that he can go back to normal after a while to calm down
When no one respond, you huffed and shake your head, you pick up the keys on the ground
The moment you look back again, you screamed "AHH" you put your hand over your chest and you're heavily breathing
It's Eddie fucking appeared out of nowhere in front of you and you didn't even heard him coming
"You fucking scared me half to life! Eddie! What the hell?!?"
You clasps his hands together saying "I'm sorry" repeatedly
You wave dismissively at him and he says "A-are you good?"
You laugh in disbelief- you scratch your forehead "What are you doing in here anyways?"
Oh shit
He needs a valid reason
"Uh- Steve asked me to guard on you"
"Guard on me?" You raise your eyebrows while you squint your eyes on him
"Y-yeah since, it's late"
before you can reply, Dustin runs around you and he put his hands over his knees as he tries to catch up his breath
Steve leans over to your car with a ragged breathing
Robin puts her hand over her chest as she gives a small wave
"Oh- good, you're okay" Dustin hugs you and you hugged back looking at Eddie in confusion
He pulled out a forced smile as he doesn't know what to say
Hopper's car arrived and he came out of the vehicle and he gives a glare to Eddie
Eddie gulped and put his head down
"There's a suspect that runs into this area that's why we came as fast as we could" Hopper explained
You nod and that lessens your suspicions but- you want answers
You're still confused by the whole situation going on but they watched you as they saw you're inside of the car and drove away
Eddie watches you closely as he can read your thoughts and he feels so guilty for not telling you the truth about....
Himself
"What have we told you?" Hopper says sternly
"I know-"
"Listen, kid, you know I like you alright?" Hopper says
He just nods
"I can't help but feel infuriated by your stubbornness"
"Look- I just- wanna help! I caught the bad guy! didn't I?!?" He looks over to Dustin, Steve and Robin
The three of them give unsure looks
"Oh, come on, you guys"
"Yeah, you caught the bad guy but what about you?" Steve says
"I agree with Steve" Dustin can't even look at Eddie in the eyes as he can remembers how he almost lost him before
"What if, someone saw you? Do you think they won't think twice of killing you instantly?" Robin added
"We know that you wanted to help but we can't risk anyone by finding out that you're- Eddie cuts Hopper off before finishing his sentence
"A what?!? A fucking vampire?!?" Eddie exclaims
He lets out a exasperated sigh "I know guys are concerned about me and I promise this is the last time that I will violated what we talked about" he starts
"If there's a bad situation, I will never do anything without your permission"
Hopper, Steve, Dustin, Robin glance at each other as they all know no matter what they do- Eddie will always be there to save someone from harm
"He-" his angry tears welled up behind his eyes
Hopper blinks at his vulnerability, He knows that he is strong but he truly does care for his loved ones
But this is the first time that they saw him like this..... again.... after the incident....
"He almost killed her, Hopper"
"If- if I wasn't there on time, he would've killed her"
"I would've have lost her" he sniffled
Steve gives Eddie a sympathetic smile, Robin softly gasps at his subtle confession about his true feelings to you and Dustin widen his eyes
"I'm sorry, if I was on a rush for making risky decisions again" he says plainly as he flew off
All of them watch him as he flies away
Dustin smiles sadly "What happens if she finds out?" He says as he still looking up in the sky
"What?" Steve asked
"What if she finds out the truth about him?"
"Oh" Steve can't help but feel so sorry for Eddie, he knows that he never loved someone in his life ever since, he never knew this could happen
"What should we do if ever that might happen?" Robin says as she presses her lips together
"She won't" Hopper says while he's walking towards to this car
"She won't" what? Dustin raises his eyebrows as he waits for Hopper to continue
"She won't be scared of him"
"What makes you say that?" Steve added
"Because they've been together a lot, it's over a year since they moved here and Y/N told us that they frequently leave even though she doesn't tell it to me, I feel like she wants to stay here because of him.... and that says a lot." Hopper says as he goes inside of his car and turns on the engine
"You know what, he's right" Robin says
Steve and Dustin looked at her
"She wouldn't be with us, if she doesn't trust us."
"Well, I just hope she won't change after anything if she finds out" Steve sighs
"I believe in Y/N too" Dustin while he crosses his arms
"Remember the time when Y/N defended Eddie from those douchebags at The Hideout?"
Steve chuckles and Robin "Oh yeah, she got heated when they're calling him "monster" and a "freak"- she literally splashes him with a beer and my god she punches the guy after he tries to hurt her"
Eddie rambles the whole situation over and over to Dustin, from what his dear old friend doesn't know even he is just a kid, he can see his eyes shine whenever he talks about you
Dustin is very happy for him, he hasn't seen his friend this joyful ever since
"Just be there for her, if ever, okay?" Hopper says
All of them nod at him, they watch as he droves away
Eddie on the other hand
Thoughts going wildly on his mind while he's flying around the town
He doesn't know what to do, is it a right decision to tell you or to keep it a secret?
but he knows deep down, if he still keeps this as a secret, you would be furious that it makes him look like he doesn't trust you
He angrily shouts as he lands on a forest
He screams "Why?!"
"I know this would've happen, but I never thought it will really happen" he's heavily breathing as he continues to shout
"Why do I have to suffer like this?!" He says as he owns tears getting choked up in his throat
"I really wanted to stay with my friends but right now?!?" He laughs incredulously "I would rather die than seeing my love getting afraid because of me!"
Memories flashes before his eyes as he remembers the one who gave this to him
"You'll live"
Eddie is gasping for air but he feels different
He woken up he is still laying in the upside down
He sits up, the demobats that tear off half of his skin and limbs are all healed
"W-What have you done to me?" He says as he backs away from him
"Shh" he shushes "Don't be frightened"
"I need you to work for me"
"What?"
"I gave you life and powers"
Eddie runs his tongue over his teeth and he shouts "No" his fuelling anger is becoming tears in his eyes
"You can't do this to me!"
"You're my slave, I need you to do something for me"
"I won't work for you!"
He slams him behind the trailer as he threatens him and choking him in the process
"You wanted to graduate is that it?"
"Y-yes, I do"
"Then follow me what I need you to do"
In fact he did follow him, but he had other plans
Everyone was shocked that he is still alive, he showed up first to Dustin, he thought he saw a ghost the first time he saw him again
"I knew it! You're alive!" He hugs Eddie with happy tears
"It's really good to see you, bud" he says as he rubs his back
"But- how did you manage to-" Dustin pulls away but he got cut off by Eddie saying
"I will explain to you everything, we have a problem"
"Copy that" Dustin says as he walks over to grab his walkie-talkie saying "Code Red"
To be completely honest everyone felt weird when they saw Eddie alive and well as if he wasn't got eaten off by demobats
Eddie can understand why and that he is truly himself, just undead that's all
"Steve, Robin, Jonathan and I, will take cover for you" Nancy says
"El and Eddie will corner Vecna to finish this once for all" Mike tightens the grip on El's hand as she flashes out a small smile
"We will be at the gates and guard on it if ever nasty monsters will get out" Erica says as she nods over to Lucas and Max
"Me and Argyle will warn Hopper and Enzo to the townspeople to stay alert and be ready" Will added
Eddie sighs "Do you think this could work?"
"It has to- and I believe you can beat his ass off" Dustin reassures Eddie
The plan is going on so nicely, everything is coming to an order
El uses her telekinetic powers to hold off Vecna and while Eddie pins him down on the ground
"Your time is running out" Eddie grunts
"You're making a big mistake"
"Am I?"
Vecna tries to fight back but El groans and screams harder as she pushes him back down and Eddie stabs him with a sword and punches him
That caused a lot pain to him "Traitor" he says while wincing at the wound
"If you kill me, you won't be able to go back to normal"
El glances over to Eddie and he looks back at her
He gave her a small nod and mouthing to her "it's okay"
"Someday, you'll see, if someone tries to love you, they won't love you back because you're a monster"
Eddie clenches his jaw as he deepens the wound
"They won't accept you, everywhere you go- they'll hate you"
"A freak but also a monster?" He laughs darkly
"Don't listen to him, Eddie!" El yells as she uses both of her hands to hold him back down
"Now, don't you worry, supergirl, I am not" he says sternly to Vecna
His eyes widen as he watches him raises the sword to chop his head off
"I would rather live like this than to knowing that you're still alive killing innocent people" he says in his last blow of his sword
Both of them shout in anger and exhaustion
They both fell back down and the upside down is now crumbling
Eddie, El, Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Jonathan running for their lives as they try to leave the upside down
Erica, Lucas and Max watches the gates closed on its own and it faded like it wasn't ever existed
The cracks are all gone and the wind and the red glow in the area is nowhere to be seen
"He made it" Enzo chuckled
"The kid got guts" Hopper smiled as he closes his eyes finally at peace for this town
Mike speaks over the walkie-talkie asking "Hey, guys? I see the town is going back to normal is everything alright?" Dustin can't reply as he's watching the last gate where Eddie is
He kept saying "Come on guys, Eddie, come on, man"
The 6 of them jump on the ground back into the real world as the watch the last gate finally closed and goes back to where it was before
Dustin sighs of relief "Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah, we're okay" Steve says as he looks over to his friends
Eddie is the only one who is silent as everyone is catching up their breath
He is disappointed of what he has become for all eternity but also the same time, he is glad, that the war is finally over
"Are you good?" Jonathan asks Nancy as she gives him a nod
"Eddie?" Robin asks
El glances over to Eddie and he looks at her giving him a hopeful smile
He finally turns around "I am stuck like this, you guys, forever" he scoffed while shaking his head
Everyone gave him a sympathetic smile
"You're a hero, Eddie and nothing ever changes that" El says as she puts over her hand in his shoulder
"Thank you" he says softly
"You'll be okay and we will always here for you, Eddie" Dustin says
"Yeah, man" Steve agrees
"It never felt any different ever since you came back, Eddie, it's still going to be the same" Jonathan says with a small smile
"We should celebrate, you know" Nancy shrugs
"Oh, I hear you, Wheeler" Eddie chuckles and all of them laughed
"We should cover up those wounds first, Munson" Robin says
His eyes became misty as he is so grateful to have friends like them
Eddie proved Vecna wrong about people not accepting for who he really was....
but... what about you?
Joyce, Murray, Karen all of them decided to keep Eddie's true nature a secret and kept it quiet
Hopper and Enzo agreed with this
So the townspeople won't snoop their noses around him, they'll still believe he's the one that caused it
Fucking close-minded people
"She's deserves to know" he says as he calms down a little bit
"She has to know" he says it himself
No more lies, no more secrets, he doesn't like to see you get betrayed and hurt
But he hopes that you'll won't be disappointed
He's going to admit it all at your first date together
You showed up in Family Video, you went to do all of the tasks as if nothing ever happened last night
Steve and Robin give looks at each other and then back to you
"You know that I can feel your eyes on me, right?" You say while opening the window blinds
"Sorry" Steve says softly
"Y/N, we just wanna know, if you're okay?" Robin says
You bring yourself around to face them "I am totally fine, guys"
You both gave them a reassuring smile
There's still a piece inside of you wanted answers to your questions but you don't want to make things worse, so you kept it to yourself
While you're bringing the storage boxes outside, Eddie approached you while clearing his throat
"Hey, Y/N" he says softly
"Hi" you say sheepishly
"I know what happened last night was so weird, please, forgive me" Eddie says with his doe eyes
His eyes are making you say "aww" on how adorable they are
Wait- you found my eyes appealing? He thinks to himself while he reads your mind
But he stops doing it right away as he feels like he's invading your own thoughts
"You don't have to explain and you don't have to apologize to it anymore, Eddie" you sigh
"Look, just hear me out" he says as he looks deeply into your eyes
You swallowed nervously and you blinked rapidly
Woah- why is your heart beating so fast? Do- do you like me?
He can feel emotions rushing and the energy of it.....is growing wild
You nod for him to continue
"I know this is like way too early but I'm asking you out for a dat-"
"Yes" you cut him off
"I'm not even finished yet" he throws his hand up
"Yes, I would like to go out with you"
"Really?"
"Yeah" you smile at him
He looks straight into your eyes and he might felt come alive again as he doesn't see anything else that is untrue
You're his dream come true
"Are you serious?" He says as he can't believe that you're willing to go with him
You roll your eyes playfully and giggled
Your smile and laughter brings soothing to his heart, even it's not the same anymore
He felt like a normal human being again
You step closer to him and he's taken a back
"You're amazing gentleman, Ed's, that's why I wanted to go out with you, I hope you know that." You say as you place your hand over his cheek and caresses it
He melts into your touch and closes his eyes for a moment and he smile down at you
"Is 7pm alright?" He whispered
"Yes" you replied while you pat his cheek
You walked away leaving a breathless Eddie behind
"Goddamn" he smiles to himself, his smile though slowly fades a little as he remembers what he's going to do tomorrow
You wore a black corset and black ripped jeans
You checked your outfit while looking at yourself in the mirror
"Hmm, it might be too cold outside" so you picked out your sheer white jacket
"You look absolutely divine, honey" your aunt says while she leans over to your doorframe
"Oh, hi, I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I have a date"
"Is it Eddie?"
You gasped and you take a double look at your aunt "How could you know?"
She chortled as she sits down on your bed motioning for you to come sit beside her
You smiled at her and she starts "I see the way you looked at him and the way he looked at you"
"Auntie-" you groaned but she laughs "Just listen to me for a moment"
"Never be afraid just to get out there and explore and have a new adventure at your life"
"When I was your age, me and your uncle just go literally everywhere, and it was the surreal experience of my life" she paused as she snifffles a little
You rub her back and she holds your hand "this thing you have with Eddie? Is very special, I see myself through the both of you"
"You both have the same interest and filled with just pure happiness and imaginary at the things you loved the most"
"Never lose yourself and I love that you kept being yourself, honey"
Your tears are threatening to spill "of course, that's what you always told me when I was a kid"
"Hush now" she presses a kiss to your forehead "don't ruin your makeup and I might be the caused of that" she snickers and you laughed
"See you later, auntie!"
"I love you"
"I love you forever, auntie"
You came in the diner that Eddie asked you to come and for moment there you thought you got stand up but you saw him and sigh of relief
"For a minute, I thought you're not going to show up" you say
"I-I'm sorry, I got nervous"
"You're nervous?" You watch him as he sits down across from you
Eddie has always been so handsome to you but you've never seen this close and you're used to see him wearing bandshirts, denims, leather jackets
He is now wearing a decent attire, a little bit formal but still has the touch of his own style
He's wearing a white polo, black pants with his Reebok
His chains and his rings making you feel hot sensation all over your body
"Am I late? Do I look okay?"
"No- you're not I just arrived 2 minutes early and you look exquisite"
"Exquisite?" He smirks
"Fine" you huffed "you look extremely so handsome tonight, Eddie" you bat your eyes at him
Eddie laughs as he admires your pretty face as he looks at you
You corset goes so finely with you, it hugs your breasts so tightly and he grunts softly at the sight of it, every hairstyle is perfect on you but he loves to see you wearing it down
He loves everything about you
The date is going on smoothly, you both shared laughs and funny stories about each other
Like come on, it's like you're fooling both of yourselves, you've been friends for like over a year now, so this feels so natural for you and so does he
Eddie droves you to over his trailer for a movie date
He put VHS Beetlejuice (1988) as he settles down with a popcorn bowl on his hand and places 2 canned sodas on the table
He froze when you remove your white sheer jacket off and you remove your high-heeled shoes
Good thing, he knows how to control his powers, he can't stand not to see your pulsing veins on your neck as he tries not to take a bite of it
You caught him watching you and he shyly ducks his head down and he moves sideward to give you open space to sit down on the couch
You smirk and sat down beside him
You grab a pillow and you put it in front of you to hug it while you're eating popcorn
He can smell your sweet scent as he exhales slowly, he feels so comfortable whenever you're around
You're paying attention in the movie while he doesn't- he watches you
Your eyelashes are so pretty, he just wants to smushes his own face on you and showers you a lot of kisses
But he doesn't want to do anything rash right now, you're being nice ever since you met him and he hates it he's getting thoughts like this
You looked over to him while chewing on the popcorn on your mouth and you chuckled a little when he looked back at the television screen and he grabs his soda immediately and takes a sip of it
"Whatchu, lookin' at- Ed's?"
"What?"
"I'm not blind, Eddie, I saw you looking at me!"
Oh- his cheeks is on fire
He steals the popcorn bowl from your hands and you gasped "You're making it all up" he says as he throws a popcorn onto his mouth
"Sure, whatever you say, handsome" you roll your eyes as you looked back at the TV
"Handsome? that's the twice she said that to me?!" He thinks to himself
He watches you again
You feel his eyes on you as you quickly turn yourself on him
Once again, you caught him
"Aha!" You point at him "I caught you red-handed!"
You throw popcorn at him and he laughs "Okay, fine!"
"Aww, you feel defeated, Ed's?" You pout at him
God, how can you be so cute and hot at the same time? He thinks to himself
"I am guilty, sweetheart" he says as he smiles down at you
You giggled at him and while you reaching out the pillow that fell down from your lap
"You're beautiful"
"Pardon?"
"I said, you're beautiful" he repeated with a grin on his face
Now, it's your turn to be flustered and you smile at him sheepishly
At this point, you don't even care if you got rejected, you have this crush for him carrying it for a over year now
You gotta take the risk or live with regret
So, fuck it
He loves to see you getting blushed because of him as he takes another sip from his soda while he places it from the table
"Eddie?" You called out for him
"Yeah?"
You and him both stare at each other and he gulped of what you're about to do
You cupped his cheeks and presses your lips into his
You kissed him and his eyes were wide as hell
You pulled back and you furrow your brows at his expression, you can't even read it
You chuckled nervously "oh wow- okay, that was stupid, you know what I'm gonna go-" you get up but he grab your hand
His eyes softens and you look back at him and you slowly sat down again beside him
He tucked your hair behind your ear and he slams his lips onto yours
The kiss was so passionate and it was steaming hot, he tilted his head as he deepens the kiss even more, you moaned
You runs your hands over his chest as you throw your arms around him and one hand over the back of his head as you hold him and pulled him even closer
You both flushed at each other's bodies automatically
His cold hands run over your shoulders and to your thighs
You're both making it out like it was for centuries and he doesn't mind it all
He loves to kiss you forever
You don't even noticed that you both floating up in the air
You pulled away and gasped as you put your hand to cover your mouth
And you look back at Eddie and his eyes are red and you look down at his mouth, you saw his fangs
You're in a state of shock as you felt coming back down on the couch
You breathe heavily of what you just witnessed but you quickly collected yourself
All of the missing pieces are coming together
Now, you understand everything
Eddie is a vampire and you're completely clueless about it
You stare at him and he looks away from you ashamedly but you stopped him from doing it while you place your hand on his cheek to make him face you again
He knits his brows together at your action
You peck a kiss onto his lips and he kisses back "Talk to me"
"I wanna know everything, Eddie" you say to him as you flash a sweet smile
He searches uncertainty on your eyes but he doesn't find anything, he saw compassion and love?
You love him?
He just burst into tears as he goes back to normal again
"Oh, Eddie" you hug him while you rest your head over his chest
He hugs you even tighter and you embrace him even more
You both stayed like this in comfortable silence
Locked into each other's arms
He runs his fingers through your hair and you sigh in comfort
You broke the silence first "Before you can think of anything that I don't want you anymore after this, I won't do it, Eddie, I really mean it"
His eyes are still blurry from the tears as he looks down on you and kisses the top of your head
You hum in agreement with a smile on your face
"I- I adored you ever since, Eddie, I love you" you confessed
You felt him get tensed up and he looks at you in shock
You pulled away from him and you cup his cheeks
"I am willingly to spend my whole life with you, Eddie"
He never felt this much happiness in his life but he smiles sadly at the thought-
He's immortal and you're not, his lifetime will be different in the world and yours will be end up fast unfortunately
At least he got the taste of true love but he really wants to make that happen
Loving each other endearingly
But he also doesn't want to cross over the line, you might want to live your life normally
"Oh, sweetheart" his eyes are brimmed with tears and yours too
He got confused "What is it, darling?"
"I- I thought I will be rejected" you laugh "but I see nothing but the truth in your eyes, Ed's" you say
"Even you don't say it-" he cuts you off by saying
"I love you too, Y/N" he kisses your cheek
"Ever since the first time we met" he added
Your lips clashes onto each other as you make out again
Eddie carried you into his room not wanting to break the kiss
He closes the door and locks it and he places you slowly on his bed
You helped him unbotton his polo and you quickly rushed to unclasp your corset
"No, let me" he stopped you and you nod at him
"Are you sure about this?" He asks before he continues to undresses you
You just nod at him and he sighs as he doesn't want to make this go any further if you're aren't up to this truly
He does not want to make you regret it, it's fine for him, if you're not ready
"Hey" he lifts your chin up to make you look at him in the eyes
"I need verbal answers, sweets" he says as he narrows his eyes on you
"I-I've longed for this, Eddie and I only want you"
"Okay" he says softly as he kisses on your knuckles
You make love for the first time and you're so sure of yourself that he is your person
You're going to settle the life that you want with Eddie
You're naked, laying on his bed, your hair is a beautiful mess
You blushed when you noticed his eyes are roaming around your body from top to bottom
You got shy, you tried to cover yourself by wrapping your arms around you
He licks his lips and his eyes filled with hunger, he chuckles darkly
"Damn- that's so hot, why does he have to do that" you think to yourself
"My love, I was just admiring you" he says as he places both of his hands on your hips
"My love?" your knees are now wobbling at his words
"I can't take my eyes off you, you're a goddess!"
"Oh- stop it! Eddie, I-" he cuts you off with a fervid kiss
You squealed and you can feel his smirk while kissing you
You grab a fistful of his hair and he groaned on top of you and as his hands roam over around your body earning a whimper from you
He deepens the kiss even more as he unbuckled his belt
You're already got so worked up by the simplest touches that he did
The effect he has on you, is freaking unreal
He breaks the kiss and you frown, he laughed while he grabs something on the drawer
"I want to be safe"
Your heart melts as he cares about your pleasure first
He pulled his boxers all the way down and you squirmed
Oh, he is huge, you don't even know if you can take it
"You can take it, don't worry, hunny" he winks at you as if he can read your mind (you didn't know that he can truly do that)
He places himself back on top of you and grab his dick directing to your hole
"You ready?"
"Yes, I am, Eddie"
"I applaud your attentiveness, sweetheart"
He takes himself in slowly and you scrunched up in pain
"Just tell me to stop and I will stop" eying you in concern
"No- no, I'm adjusting, keep going"
The moment his all the way in, you look down and you saw that he filled you up real good
"Oh" you breathe heavily
"Told you can take it"
"E-Eddie- you can move now"
He thrust and he grunts as at your pussy already clenching
"Wow, my darling- you impressed me"
You want to keep your eyes open but can't help by the overwhelming sensation burns through your system
"It feels so good, go harder, please" you beg and he doesn't want to keep you begging for more as his thrusts grows harder and harder
You kept your lustful eyes on him
"Don't you dare look at me like that or I will tore you apart" he thinks to himself
"Ah- Eddie! Oh my fucking god!" You moaned
He grabs your legs and places it over his shoulders
He watches as your chest rises up and down
You got confused ignoring the enrapture that you're feeling at the moment
"Eddie- what are you-" you got cut off as he deepens himself down onto you
You can't suppress your moans any longer as you moaned louder
You grip on the sheets as he fucks you roughly
He even watches your boobs bounce up and down, he smirks at the sight of it, he is enjoying himself
"Holy- shit- oh!" You exclaimed
"Baby, I'm coming, I can't take it anymore"
You arched your back in pleasure as he came undone
He falls down on you even though you felt weak, you still manage to hug him
You can feel him smiling at your action and you run your fingers through his hair
He carefully puts down your shaking legs
Your eyes are heavy lidded, your cheeks are flushed, Eddie slowly pull himself out of you
He wiped you, cleaned you, he pulled a clean bandshirt on you and he chuckles softly on how big it is to you as he dresses you up with his clean boxers
He wore his pajama pants as he cuddles next to you
"How's that?" He asks
"It's astounding" you say while your eyes are closed
He bursted out laughing and you furrow you brows as you slap his arm playfully
"I-I am sorry" he is tearing up from laughter "your choice of words are remarkable" he says with a British accent
You laughed at him "Well, you're not the only one" you snorted
"Oh- how dare you" he says dramatically
You rolled your eyes as you push him back laying down on the bed
You caught him by surprise
You remove his boxers that belonged to him and his
You sat down at him without any warnings and you bite your bottom and you moaned
With his lips apart while looking at you
You place your hands over his shoulders as you begin to ride him, your eyes rolling back as you can feel yourself getting wet because of him
He squeezes his eyes shut on the sweet sensation as you say
"Round 2?" You say menacingly as you smirk down on him
He moans while laughing in the process "where have you been all my life?"
He takes care of you after you both make love again
As soon as he goes back beside you, he's picking up the clothes that he wants to put on you, you're ready to snuggle up with him and yes he will cuddle up with you as soon as he dresses at you up he insists to do that one first but you give him a scowling face
He chortled at how clingy you are
He pulled up the blankets as he lays down and he open his arms out for you
You smiled as you lay your head over his shoulders and hug him and he kisses your forehead
Now at this time, he told you everything about him, about what happened 2 years ago
"I wish I was there for you" you start "they didn't even look hard enough, you're innocent"
"I appreciate that, Y/N, Thank you"
"And I also appreciate your honesty" you pulled back to look down at him and you smile
Your prop your arm up and you say "So there's this other world that you guys called the upside down and this asshole named Vecna did this to you?"
"Yeah, that's sums it all up"
His story sounds like the sci-fic, adventure and action films that you watched before and now knowing that this really happened sends goosebumps into your skin
"Where's Jason now? I would like to punch him in the face"
"Easy there, tiger" he chuckled
"You didn't deserve that! Eddie!" Your eyes are forming with tears
Eddie pulled you into a hug as he rubs your back
He is now sobbing softly with happy tears
You're not afraid, you trust him, you accept him, and you even love him
His eyes flashes with so much gratitude
You suddenly became concerned as you heard him crying
Both of your eyes are stained with tears
"What's wrong, Ed's?"
"Nothing, I just" he sniffles "I didn't know that I got to have you and called you mine"
You smile widely "I'm yours forever"
"I'm yours forever" he keeps replaying it in his head
"I'm so lucky that you exist and you're here with me"
"Because I thought I would never have-
"Someone?"
"Yeah"
"You're my first" you admit
"What?"
"I don't wanna give myself to someone who wasn't true to himself" you paused
"I was never in love with anyone until you, Eddie"
His eyes glint with teary eyes with overjoyed coming into his face
"Me too" he says while you into his eyes and look for dishonest on them but nothing
You fall for him even harder
"I love you, Eddie"
"I love you forever and ever"
You snuggled up together as you slowly close your eyes as you drift away to sleep
Eddie is wide awake somehow gobsmacked at his life right now
He embraces you even tighter as if you might disappeared from him
You hold onto him close as you bury yourself on his chest
His sheets are now covered with your scent and he just loves it, mixed with vanilla and lavender from your shampoo
He can also smell the lotion from your soft skin, flowery and fresh scent
He smiles in content as he fell asleep....
Everything is going so well, why does it have to be like this?
An intense magnitude Earthquake happened all over across the town of Hawkins, Indiana
You and your auntie hold on to each other inside the diner
You both tried to stay calm as you both headed towards the exit
A big rumble on the ground made you both ripped at each others hands
Your eyes widen in fear and you screamed "No! Auntie!"
A big pole that fell back down on her crushes her entirely
The earthquake is becoming more and more stronger as you ran towards her
"Y/N! Stop! Save yourself!" She chokes on her own blood
"No- I won't leave you!" A small wall but heavy enough slams down on the half of your body made you screech in pain
"R-remember what I told you, sunshine"
"I-I love you" she blinks slowly and she dies
"Auntie" you cried out "N-No"
You felt dizzy and you look down wincing in pain, your head bleeds as before you got unconscious the last words you said
"Eddie...."
"I need to find Y/N before it's too late" Eddie says
"Be careful, kid" Enzo says while he and Hopper protect everyone in the open ground area
Eddie gasps as he saw you laying in your own blood, your heart is slowly beating
You're still alive, but losing a lot of blood
"Don't you die on me!" He shouts as he raises the wall that almost crushed you
Eddie saw your lifeless, Aunt, "oh- I am so sorry, sweetheart"
Your mind is hazy but you knew the person who is carrying you
"You came"
"Of course, sweetheart, I'm taking you to the hospital"
"I-I tried to save her" you say weakly your nose starts to bleed
Eddie cries in anger as he quickly finds a hospital
The earthquake is finally over, everyone was wounded, lost a loved a one, lost a home
Emergency vans, were everywhere
The hospital is crowded, every nurse and doctor are running all over the hallways
Eddie's knee kept bopping up and down as he couldn't stay calm at what you're state your in
The doctor finally talked to him and said it's bad news
"She might not make it, I'm sorry"
He cries in agony and this is his greatest fear, losing you.....unless....
There is only one solution to save you
He comes inside your room and he weep even harder as he saw you slowly breathing
It's not your time yet, this isn't fair
"I want to save you, but I don't know if it's also that you want" he says as he holds your hand
You heard him and you slowly opened your eyes and he saw it, his eyes are bloodshot from crying, his clothes are covered with your blood
"Do it, Eddie" you say
"But I don't wanna-"
"Please, Eddie, I don't want you to be alone and I don't wanna leave you behind, I really want this"
"If I do this, you might not be able to do the normal things anymore"
"Let me into your world, Eddie"
"I've got nothing to lose, I only have you" you sob
He can feel you're very certain, he warns this might hurt a little and you'll die for a second
He bites your neck and he cut his wrist to make you drink his blood
You drank a lot and you can feel your heartbeat finally comes to an end
Your eyes, your complexion is now similar to Eddie's, your hair became more wavy, your whole appearance changed
You gasped for air and you didn't feel any pain on you anymore
You looked over to Eddie and you laughed slightly and he hugs you tightly
3 months after the earthquake
Hopper grabs the walkie-talkie and he calls Eddie to come over
When he arrived Dustin and Steve and everyone is in there
He showed him the "WANTED" picture as Hopper explains the criminal that you and Eddie need to capture
Before he continues he exclaims "Where the hell is Y/N?!"
"I'm here, Jim" you say as you entered the room with Eddie's black leather jacket draped over your shoulders
Eddie smirks at your entrance
You take a quick sip of your flask with blood droplet on your chin and you wipe it off using your finger
"So, where to- Chief?" You smile with subtle red glow on your eyes

Inside Out 2 (2024) – Review

Pixar keeps the standard high as Inside Out 2 again takes us on an emotional journey that everyone can relate to in this coming-of-age story.
Set one year after the first film, Riley has just turned 13 and the puberty alarm has sounded. The original emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust & Fear, have no idea what they are in for as more complex emotions, Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, & Embarrassment, show up to help Riley transition into a new period in her life.

While the story doesn’t pull on the heartstrings like the first film, it is still a high quality follow up. As an adult, we’ve been there, we’ve felt like that and we’ve said those things, which makes it easy for us to laugh at now. As a parent, it’s a little insight / reminder as to what our kids will be / are going though, which makes it a little scary.
Life is hard as a teen with all the new hormones and emotions surging through your body, and new social constructs to adjust to as you move into high school. Because our emotions are so heightened, everything we say and do is an ‘end of the world’ event, which we relive again through Riley’s perspective.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that because it is animated, this is a kids only film. I would argue that is it a film for everyone, that is kid friendly. The themes and the storytelling in this “kids movie” will help breakdown the stigma around mental health issues, and assist people in describing and understanding the influence and impacts of mental health, specifically the crippling control anxiety can have. Inside Out 2 gives an accurate visualisation of how anxiety can be helpful with the best of intentions to keep you safe, but the dangers when it takes full control.
The film is balanced. There is plenty of fun, humour and adventure had along the way seen through the bonds of friendship, both with Riley and her friends, and the emotion characters, which adds in the light hearted moments and prevents it from being a Psych101 class.
Note: There is a couple of post-credit scenes, so stick around at the end of the movie.
4 / 5 Get out and see this film. It’s not one to miss.

Story Idea for an Inside Out 3...
Inside Out 3 plot idea where not long after Riley is adjusting to her new life in high school and making the FireHawks team, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson unexpectedly announces to the family and Riley that they're having another baby, and Riley is going to be a big sister, much to everyone's shock, including Riley and the rest of the emotions. Nine months later, the baby is born, and at first, Riley is happy to be an older sibling and is amused that she now has a baby brother (or sister), that's 13 (presumably 14 in this third film), years younger than she is.
But then, the family and Riley's parents start giving more attention to the new baby and start treating Riley more like a grownup, giving her more responsibilities around the house, giving some of Riley's old toys and blankets to the new baby and whatnot, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson even brushing over Riley's accomplishments, and slowly, after some time, Riley starts feeling disregarded and left out, rather than a proud big sister. Anger and Envy end up forming a new core memory and personality island, causing Riley to feel resentment towards her new baby sibling. The third film would focus on Riley struggling with these resentful feelings and her emotions trying to help her overcome them, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson realizing that they've been so caught up with the new baby that they've ignored Riley's feelings and shut her out.
A dramatic climax of the film would be perhaps when Riley is at home watching the baby while Mom and Dad are out, the baby accidentally comes into contact with a small object when Riley isn't looking, (Ennui is in control and Riley is lying on the couch scrolling through her phone perhaps?) swallows it, and begins to choke. Fear causes Riley to freeze up, but she snaps out of it once she realizes she must do something to save her sibling. Riley begins first aid, also calls 911, and continues to give first aid, and luckily, the baby coughs up the object and is saved by Riley. At the hospital, Mom and Dad embrace both Riley and the baby, and they thank Riley for saving the baby's life. Then they tell Riley that they're sorry for the way they've ignored her feelings and they promise to give her and the baby equal attention starting today. Riley holds her baby sibling in her arms, and the baby looks into Riley's eyes, and we get a look inside the baby's mind showing his (or hers) Joy pressing the single button acting as the control panel, this scene acting as a throwback to the first Inside Out when Riley was born and Dad saying, "aren't you a little bundle of joy?"
The baby smiles at Riley, Riley's Joy presses a button, causing Riley to smile back, and the resentment island falls and crumbles, and a new core memory rolls out and a new personality island, Sibling Island is formed, (The shape of the island shows a statue silhouette of Riley and a few years older brother or sister walking hand in hand through a meadow.) We then cut to a scene a few months later showing the baby taking his or her first steps early. Fear makes a comment saying that "Wow, first steps already, and it's only been 9 months!" Sadness begins to cry and remarks that "they grow up so fast!" The movie would end with Riley taking her younger sibling out onto the ice during hockey practice and the teammates gush over the baby and let him or her try hitting pucks into the goal net, and the baby makes one. Val jokes that Riley might have some competition in the future, and Riley laughs, and Val laughs too. End film.
Is this a realistic plot for a third film? How would you write an Inside Out 3?
I would like to hear your thoughts!
*I also might write a what-if plot idea for an Inside Out 4 where Riley is in her late teens or early twenties and she's never had a boyfriend before and Sadness and Anxiety are making her feel like she's behind in life because she's never dated. Something like that could hit home for a lot of people and me included.

Jamming it up in Roller Derby
Had I been in this rink before? If so, it was back in Junior high school in the late 1970s, when roller skating added music, lights, and fun to a teen’s life. If you were lucky, the rink dimmed the overhead lights so strobes and fluorescent lighting illuminated the ground where your quad skates slid across the wooden floor. But today was 2024 and this ole 59’er hadn’t tried roller skating since she was a teen, making this new sport of Roller Derby an interesting prospect. The thing that happens as you approach your sixth decade of life is your center of weight shifts as your weight increases. Sure, I run half marathons, but that’s easy when your feet hit the pavement and nothing is rolling beneath you. I think my last 8-mile run, which took over an hour, was easier than standing on roller skates for one hour. New experiences give you realistic points of view you wouldn’t gain otherwise.
So, there I was, along with one other 50-year-old woman celebrating her birthday by trying roller derby, and twenty 20- and 30-year-olds, prime for the adventure. The women there were fantastic – friendly, some apprehensive like me, some excellent at the sport already, and accepting of all others in the room. No matter your size, age, gender identification, or skill, every woman was welcome, just like rugby. The Central New York Roller Derby organization based in my hometown of Rome, NY was well organized and coached. Their leaders made sure we had the essential equipment on – helmet, elbow pads, mouth guards, wrist guards, knee pads, and quad skates. For $50, you get all the rented equipment plus eight weeks of lessons and activity making it a reasonably priced sport to try. They were patient and helpful with the newbies.
Like every sport, we began with warmups. I particularly liked doing pushups and sit-ups with roller skates on. It added some weight to the exercises. Then it was time to stand up and try gliding on the skates. I say this with the hesitation that’s intended. It takes a while to find your center of gravity and fearlessness to push off, glide, and stop without falling down. Okay, I did fall two times until I figured out to lean forward not back in my stance. Like anything in life, you have to adjust to new centers of balance. Then we got off our skates and learned about the key derby positions of jammers and blockers and did a few activities like getting into positions as blockers to stop the jammers and how to become a pivot blocker if you receive the jammer star/cover when it is handed to you. What I learned only from this small exercise is I need to watch a YouTube video on roller derby to piece it all together so I understand it better the next time I try it. I did this before trying rugby and it helped my comprehension level immediately. Don’t call it necessary due to my age, but rather because I learn best by seeing, and not hearing.
As our two-hour stint came to an end, we gathered for a group photo as buddies who experienced something new and fun for the first time. I vowed to go back next week to try it again since I felt it needed more time to say I tried the sport. I already have a new group of Syracuse roller derby sisters who want to carpool to Rome and a new roller derby name to try out – Pinky Habanero. Every roller derby chick has a nickname. I met Squash, BAM, Dead, Sunshine, Meli, and more. All I can tell you is if you want to feel young again (in some ways) and old (in other ways), try out roller derby at your local skating rink. Put on those four quads, helmet, and find your center of balance, smile, give yourself a badass name, and get into the rink. I promise you’ll smile, laugh at yourself, and even realize you can be humble, and somewhat graceful while trying something new.

Name: Tanner Presley
Age: 34
Gender & Pronouns: Cis female & she/her
Occupation: Welder & Owner of The Forge
Neighborhood: Jackson Hill
❛ The world breaks everyone, and afterward, many are strong at the broken places. ❜
Most of Tanner's happiest memories stem from those mornings and afternoons on her parent's small farm working with her dad on his tractors. While it was never official he was known a bit as a handyman for mechanical things, knew his way around a tractor better than most. What started off as handing her father tools during a project, something that needed to be completed efficiently because an out of work tractor was no good for farm productivity, blossomed into her father talking her through everything he was doing.
While she never really believed in that whole 'purpose in life' sell because life just was, you worked, you got through the day, Tanner took to anything mechanical innately. It was easy to learn by watching her father, by getting her hands on and following the cool guidance he offered, yet it was the toiling she did on her own that took her further than fixing the tractors for the farm. In shop classes she was a star pupil. She had a part-time job in high school working under a mechanic. And then there was the fact that Tanner devoured anything she could as far as mechanical texts went.
As a teen the better she became with welding she even started to branch out from simply fixing things and made some of her own art. Nothing that Tanner would show off anywhere or attempt to sell, they were, in a way, an opportunity to practice and hone her skills. Even if at the time she had no designs on what her future would look like. Things happened and she reacted and adjusted.
Community college opened her up to business classes and the idea that she could work for herself. The farm life wasn't really her thing. Tanner loved the beauty of growing and cultivating your own food and oddly enjoyed the harder life of what living on a farm entailed, she just never really connected in the way that her friends had. Horsepower was something completely different to her and she loved the possibilities that mechanics offered.
It was a creative move of opening up a business like The Forge that helped her way of life and her interests. Welding and working with tools, something fundamental that was lost on current generations, was made into something fun and interactive. It garnered business in new ways for her and it helped to offer skills to those interested in working with their hands in ways that wasn't mainstream.
With her own business and fully supporting herself she's been able to give back to her parents and aid them in keeping their way of life. Their small farm just on the outskirts of Woodside is still their little safe haven, even despite the cost of living going up and the world changing around them over the decades.
Mostly Tanner keeps to herself and has a bit of a hard edge to her. Working in a heavily male dominated field certainly has something to do with the toughness and speaking in fluent sarcasm, in truth, most of her manner is due to heartbreak. After being in a years long relationship with someone she thought would be her forever they told her one day they didn't love her anymore and left. Before then Tanner didn't know something like that were possible and now she knows people can pretend to care and then leave when you're used up.

i made a fantasy high fic masterlist!
Behind the Bookshelves - Fig and Adaine don't want their friends to know they're dating. They hide wherever they can, and today's hiding spot is behind Adaine's bookshelves.
Here's to Never Growing Up - "I’m supposed to be done trying to fight off big, scary things trying to kill me. I did that, I did it four times. I can’t- It’s supposed to be over...this time, there’s no big villain or monster or whatever. It’s just…me."
stars around my scars - No one talked about this part of adventuring. The way it lived on your body forever. It was unnerving, the way her body looked so worn, and she was only twenty. OR: Fig looks at her scars in the mirror, and Adaine reminds her to love them.
Pictures on Her Walls - Adaine doesn’t have pictures from her early childhood, but the ones from her teen years make up for that (or: Adaine’s bedroom is plastered with memories.)
To the Ends of the Earth - Kristen Applebees is well-adjusted. According to her therapist, she’s doing amazingly, all things considered. It doesn’t feel like that. She thinks about her family a lot, has many days when she can’t help but cry remembering her brothers, and misses her old life even though she knows it was awful.
Adaine’s First Christmas - (a light lil bit of Adaine/Fig that can be skipped and ignored) Adaine has never celebrated Christmas. Her family wants to show her how.
Relapse (read the trigger warnings on ao3) - Adaine isn’t quite sure what about today set her off; the intense day of work on her thesis, the jock yelling obscenities in the cafeteria, or Jawbone’s gentle reminder that she needed to finish her chores for the day. None of it should have pushed her into a cold, calm moment in the bathtub, pulling a cool silver razor blade from her jacket. The magic of the city inside of her coat of useful things obeys, surely unaware of her intended use for the item.
Get Our Kisses In - (Adaine/Fig) A collection of aberfaeth kisses, two girls in love while their friends support and bother them.
Someone You’ve Never Met - (The Bad Kids & The Bad Kids, Fig/Adaine) Most people have a Mark, a birthmark-like spot where their Soulmate first touches them. Adaine’s parents’ Marks were handprints wrapped around their hands. Their First Touch was a handshake, considered honorable in Elven culture. Aelwyn’s Mark was the same. Adaine didn’t have one. She had five.
Detect Poison and Disease - (The Bad Kids & The Bad Kids) Adaine definitely isn't sick. She's completely fine. She can make it through the end of the school day, and she'll still ace her test. The rest of the Bad Kids disagree.
We Can Run, We Can Hide (title from Robot Rebellion) - (The Bad Kids & The Bad Kids, Adaine/Fig) The Bad Kids Compound is the home of the last seven survivors of the zombie apocalypse. They've created a heavily guarded haven and they haven't seen a living person outside for months. Everyone else is gone. The compound is home. On a mission to gather supplies, they find Adaine Abernant. The Bad Kids Compound houses eight teenagers, fighting against the world of the undead.
Forget Something? - (Adaine/Fig) Adaine is late for class. Fig reminds her she's forgotten something.
Shared Sweaters and Fuzzy Socks - The Bad Kids and their families have family movie nights every Saturday, and Adaine gets cold every time. Fig lends her some warmer clothes.
Pretty in Pink - Fig's new sweater isn't her style.
(i cannot promise i will remember to update this as i post, but i'll try my best!)
