I enjoyed tonight's episode but was also sort of... underwhelmed? Hen and Karen's recation to the hearing though had me 🥺 for real though.

I think the thing that disappointed me was that we had a great setup for a long-term storyline with Gerrard and Ortiz, but it became a "gotcha" moment. Which is nice because I was sick of Mara being bounced place to place, and I wanted to wrap it up for her sake, but as another poster said, Ortiz is/was a GREAT villain. She could've been a real antagonist that just kind of hung on.

I also kind of thought the golf scene was kind of a waste, especially considering what ends up happening with Gerrard, which... He's still a nasty man, but like... He stepped up?!

Like, I feel like nothing happened this episode, and yet I still have so much to unpack? I didn't even talk about how much I loved Eddie's moment and watching him unpack those pent-up feelings and frustrations. AUGH.

Also also. Next week's episode looks PHENOMENAL, and I seriously cannot wait. Especially because we get another Denny story?! But on another final note, it will mark one month since Tommy Kinard has graced my screen, and I'm about to die of hot firefighter pilot dehydration. 😭

maddie was pregnant for ?? months, we got zero deep dive into that, she was just pregnant and that’s it. only mentioned when she told chim not to worry about her.

the baby has a fucking stupid name.

athena sold the house she said she wouldn’t sell one (1) episode ago

chimney, of all people, made eddie come back just by... telling him to? and eddie was like “oh wow how didn’t i think of that.”

eddie and chris’ relationship? no development. is chris still mad? did they reconcile? did they even talk about the whole kim situation? it all happened off screen so we’ll literally never know.

bobby died. so what. i guess it’s just to remind us that maybe the main characters aren’t safe. okay? stupid

the wilsons adopting mara with absolutely zero setup the entire season.

buck moving out of eddie’s house,what even was the point of that whole storyline when it led absolutely nowhere.

i’m so mad.

I don’t think we’re talking enough about how Eddie went over to Hen and Karen’s to talk about how he’s worried about Buck. We got so caught up with the fight and making up that we’re not talking enough about how Eddie went to his married friends to talk about how he’s worried about Buck and he doesn’t know how to talk to him about it.
