🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

I do! Sometimes its a handful of "not so chill lofi" playlists, but it's usually "Misa Misa" by Corpse Husband ft. Scxrlord (and someone else I think) because I love the bass and how rythmic it is.

(The snippet has spoilers for my ongoing half published fic, idk if anyone wants to stay spoiler free, but if you do, this is your warning)

He could hear them so clearly, teasing each other, himself joining in getting an enthusiastic greeting of his name (his name), and they welcomed him- Grian, into their circle, still poking fun at Jimmy for losing his stuff to lava while strip mining. 

But none of that mattered. He couldn’t talk to her, he couldn’t ask if their friends were okay, he couldn’t tell her how much he missed them-

Because she would know. 

She would know Grian was turned into one of Them. 

Only speaking in riddles and rhymes, never showing his face, four purple wings with a look more like that of ink than feathers.. 

She would know. She’s too smart to not, and definitely too smart to let it slide. 

He would rather her think he’s dead than hate him for what he’s become.

I saw that tag and I have to say, Remus would not have a shelf of stuff Virgil made him. He would have a whole closet. He has so many warm sweaters and gloves! He has some absolutely dastardly (slutty) embroidered capes! He even has a badass leather jacket with spikes and matching gloves!! All from his spider!!

Because Virgil would totally take to yarn work like knitting, sewing and embroidery, and occasionally leather working. It keeps his hands busy and gives him something to focus on other than impending doom. Plus spider gotta spider!!

Y E S Y E S Y E S!!! Ree's closet may look small from the outside but the moment the chaotic Duke opens it Vee sees an entire walk-in closet big enough to be it's own clothing store worth of all the stuff the Emo made him <3

through swarming ravens had she received the message of a certain pillar's birthday. of course, being the ghost that she wished to remain, a conversation or wishes from her own mouth were seen as impossible. alas, she still wished to make her presence known. & as such, the flame hashira would discover a beautiful arrangement of vibrant fire poppies — flowers that were known to prosper within smoke, heat & most importantly: upon charred soil. 

within the arrangement was the second part of her gift: a ring that appeared a deep onyx at first, alas, when the light of the sun hit it — the red garnet that framed the jewelry became visible. it was mainly forged out of obsidian: a gemstone known to release emotional, physical & spiritual blockages as well as drawing out tension & stress from one's body. the red garnet symbolized passionate devotion towards family, friends, one's own self & their purpose in life. it is also believed to stimulate the senses & increase vitality & stamina. all of these informations & tidbits were hastily scribbled upon a piece of paper that was framed by the flowers & under it all: happy birthday. thank you for protecting this land, dear flame hashira. may all your days be blessed. signed by earth's divinity ♥ // for kyojuro hehe <3

it isn't often that kyojuro receives gifts -- or rather, it isn't often that someone successfully gives him one. he's never been good at accepting gifts, never felt quite right gaining something for his efforts as a slayer. it isn't why he does this, after all, and he'd rather people spend their money on themselves rather than on him ( shouldn't they treat themselves for surviving an encounter with a demon rather than reward a man trained for such things? ).

but this gift -- with its thoughtfully picked flowers and stunning craftsmanship -- is really too much. kyojuro reads the accompanying note over and over, trying to recall if he's ever met someone who called themselves " earth's divinity " the way uzui called himself " the god of festivals, " but he comes up short. he's never met such a person, and he's certainly never met any sort of divinity before.

his mind stills on that thought, eyes studying the sweet note and the signature once more. he tilts his head, feels his lips tug into a smile.

one doesn't have to meet a god to be watched over by them, do they?

a more skeptical man would dismiss the possibility, but not kyojuro who hears his mother's voice in moments of strife, feels her hands steadying him when his body falters. he accepts that maybe this gift really is from a deity, bows his head in a silent thank you ( do all gods hear prayers said to them? now he wonders ). it's a comforting thought, that a higher being would show such care for a human -- to not only watch over him but to gift him items specifically suited to him.

kyojuro's crow perches herself upon his shoulder, and he gently brushes a finger over her beak. " i wish i could send a letter back! it seems wrong not to when they went to so much trouble! " he says aloud, rereading the note one more time as if that might reveal some sort of new information. " ...would a god even have a home address? "
