Dungeon World is like Dungeons and Dragons in the sense that both are clunky, in different ways but because they don't commit fully to what they want to do.

D&D problems come from wanting to be both for players who want a more narrative and strategic/tactic ttrpg experiences, and ends up with something in-between that does both in a pretty mid way.

DW on the other hand is clearly more narratively driven, and I think it does this better, but still has some mechanics that doesn't work well with powered by the apocalypse, but they were included only because d&d had them (of course, im talking about hitpoints).

Pathfinder is ok I guess, haven't played that much to know.

So we played one of our 5e campaigns tonight, in which I am a Circle of the Moon druid. And we had an encounter we wanted to be stealthy for, so I looked through all my wild shape forms to see which one had the best stealth bonus.

Turns out that it's the giant spider. Which is ridiculous to me, because I can also turn into a tiny spider. Somehow a spider the size of a draft horse is sneakier than a standard tarantula.

In 5e D&D, you could literally have a situation where 2 druids set up a distraction/ambush, and the tiny spider is the distraction that everyone notices, and then the giant one fucking bites you in half before you even realize it's there. I just can't get over how ludicrous that is.

I'm 2 hours into 114 and Laura just bamfed old man Trinket out of the pokeball onto the back of this giant alien scorpion thing behind Ozo and I cannot stop laughing. If Trinket gets a heroic death to save the world, I will sob like a child leave me alone. I love that bear, and Sam can shut the fuck up lmfao.

No one ever knew what horrid creature they became, nor how they were finally killed, perhaps it was for the best, it would have made an ugly last memory.

It's been over a year of playing this disaster of Satyr Sorcerer and I still haven't painted them as a dramatic tarot card. Utterly unforgivable. Luckily they are still alive after one hell of a boss battle, but I can imagine it going so wrong and I gotta draw it else it will devour me. (Also one day I will post the portrait I did of them T-T but until then enjoy the WIP)
