I think the writers totally missed out on using Alya and Lila as foils for both being foxes, but using the power of illusion and misdirection in very different ways.

Lila: using emotions and threats to set a trap for LB (and CN, but she’s got that personal grudge)

Vs. Alya: using her intelligence/cunning to get out of a trap (and get LB out too)

And just in general being very different people:

Lila’s entire character is that she’s a liar who will do anything to avoid the truth, while Alya is the investigative reporter who uncovers truth.

Lila as someone who hates and is out to get both Marinette and LB vs. Alya who loves and supports both

I just think they could’ve done a lot more with this, especially since they made both girls a fox character, specifically surrounding the Fox Miraculous (I know Lila never had the real one, but she did pretend to for her akumatization)- that’s not nothing!

But nah, instead Alya just becomes brain dead around Lila, believes all her lies without question (no matter how stupid or nonsensical), and doubts everything her best friend tells her when it comes to said lies. Wasted potential.

Lila Rossi, bane of my existence. In many way's she was the perfect opposite to Marinette. Both lie constantly, but while Marinette does it to protect her loved ones, Lila only does it for herself.

It did both me that most of her lies were completely unbelievable. So in this re-write were gonna make her the threat the show said she was. Lila heaps on the self pity. A poor diplomat's daughter who never met her dad, has to move constantly, and whose mother doesn't have time. All of this is false.

Her mother is no diplomat, her father works in Italy and she spends the summers with him. Her mom wants to spend time with Lila, but she pushes her away. She had only moved once in her life and it was to France 2 years ago. Instead relocating to their school after her former classmates discovered the truth.

Now let's talk design. Lila is still a model for the Gabriel company, and she actually works hard at it. I tried to make her look fashionable. And as a bonus, a design where she's dressed for modeling like I did for Adrien.

Volpina is pretty solid design-wise but I thought I'd spice her up a little bit. Adding the black stripes on her shoulders and simplifying the pattern on her tail piece.

Hoaxer is the same but with a coat reminiscent of a kitsune's tails. And a glowing mask to link her to her 'followers.'

Finally it bothered me that Chameleon didn't have any sort of design change. I understand why, but I thought some scales on her face and hands would be interesting to animate.

My very long dream came true thanks to my friends! I was so proud to wear it in a local con! As I told a while in the past on my Hoaxer pic - I was really stunned by this design! (Volpina's design was amazing, but Hoaxer took it to a whole new level of pretty! (Or it has to do with me loving the Black+White+Red combos)) Also fun fact - Beneath this massive wig there is a short pixie haircut, much similar to Lila's.. XD I have red short hair irl.

She looks good with short hair. Girls with short hair are just as super cute as girls with long hair. 10 out of 10.

Just more proof that Cerise can pull off any look. She's a fashion goddess. It's a more simple look, but it makes sense for her to have a backup disguise just in case she's exposed. 10 out of 10.

Has a great otherworldly ethereal feel to the design. Plus as a non-binary person I love the design of the suit it's something that everyone could wear. 10 out of 10.

Another great design that doesn't give away the person's identity. 10 out of 10.

She's way too cute to be a monster. 10 out of 10.

7. Hoaxer

Yes I know it's basically just a Volpina recolor, but the red suit goes good with her hair(wig). 10 out of 10.

I like this design. It's just that I like Hoaxer better. 9 out of 10.

Gives off a bad girl vibe. Plus she's wearing glasses. It's a scientific fact that glasses make girls look cuter. 9 out of 10.
