Working on this was incredibly fun, I got to experiment with new techniques, and I lerned much from the other talented artists who participated!

hihi!!! Inspired by movements like HStwt4Gaza, OPtwt4Gaza and JJKtwt4Gaza , ive decided to use my silly cooking skills for something useful! Zines for Liberation is a project that aims to generate funds for crisis around the world by exchanging donations with cookbook zines!

We do not operate like a traditional zine project. Contributor apps will be perpetually open as we work. There are the obvious artist + chef roles, but I would also be open to applications for graphics, socmed, and other positions. In addition to this, I’m also interested in community fandom suggestions. My hope is that as we continue to grow as a community, I will be able to appoint volunteers to help structure zines for fandoms that I am not a part of. More info on this in Discord.

Each zine will have its own team of artists + chefs of varying size depending on the amount of applications. I want to emphasize that this project heavily relies on teamwork. Every member of the team is a leader and progress will depend on the team’s pace. This means there are no deadlines for the zines aside from a goal date that the team can set. WITHIN REASON.

In regards to applications, I will review apps along with my Mini Helpers and if chosen, you'll be given a list of recipes to draw for artists or to make for chefs.

The plan is to create ~10 recipes for each zine; all fandom-based + digitally. I only plan on releasing zines from my special interests + fixations but this could change depending on how well this goes!
