This is the first of my X-Men characters. She's a little overdeveloped, so we're just gonna talk about the minimal head canon debauchery :)
If it seems like there's a hole in the timeline or whatever, I promise it's complete in my head. But I can't share that here without explaining the entire multiversal shift I created for the sake of ✨lore :)). I have the power here :)))
---
Malieyah Maximoff; pronounced muh-leev-uh
Nickname: Mava; pronounced like Lava... but with an M...
Mava is the sibling of the Maximoff twins by full blood, and half-sister to Lorna Dane.
Mava's mutation manifested the summer before she turned fourteen. Wanda and Pietro had already manifested their spectacular abilities with no explanation. Mava expected it to be an effect of their twinhood (as if that made sense).
But after a bout of intense pneumonia, Mava realized she could feel the tug of magnetic fields around her. Every magnetic metal in their home pulled to her, luring her into their attractions. Over the following months, Mava discovered she could feel magnetic fields around her, as well as she discovered she could touch them. Play with them. Bend them to her will. Shortly later, her eyes developed a greener tint to them. What irises used to be a perfect heterochromatic hazel-blue now glistened an unnatural shade of green. To hide the color, she began wearing shades in public, no matter how rude one considered her to be.
Mava paid not much attention to her abilities for years. One thing she refuses to do is play with a technological device at the risk of manipulating the magnetic field so much to completely destroy the device. Eventually, she was able to save money for colored contacts that returned her irises to a more swallowable shade of dull hazel. She was able to blend in, able to meld with the outside population better than her siblings. Moving countries after an accident via Wanda helped to restart Mava's reputation. It's what she craved.
The man's face, who the siblings had good reason to believe was their father, was on national television every other month, sparking outcries for mutant revolution and defense against their persecution. The word "mutant" did not resonate with Mava for years more to come. She was not raised a "mutant". They could not be "mutants". They were special. Nothing wrong about that.
Then she met Lorna Dane. And with her, the Maximoff siblings unlocked the truth of their lineage.
Pushes for mutant registration and other marginalizing laws across the globe convinced Mava that her condition was something to be ashamed of. Something to fear and to hate. As a last ditch effort to flea the persecution of the human population surrounding her, she gained passage and moved to Genosha at the age of 18. Wanda and Pietro did not follow. They had made a life for themselves that could not so easily be uprooted.
The X-Men were stationed on the island nation at the time (for reasons). Mava had no intention of associating with the X-Men. She found them pretentious and were not going good things to give mutantkind a good reputation. She just craved a space to be Someone apart from the eyes and allure to polar charges.
Well well. Someone ruled Genosha who had been keeping a watchful eye on the four of them since the day they were born. He was not going to let her breeze by without notice. (does this mean he will come out and claim her? No that's crazy talk. We're gonna throw her in the Danger Room and hope something good comes out)
Fast forward two years, Mava is training in the X-Men compound to curate her powers, as well as schooling for biochemical engineering (pharmaceuticals, the technology behind the power dampening collars, the validity of the mutant cure, etc). Mava ditched the contacts, embracing her natural eyes sincerely. She has made good friends with one Nightcrawler and one Morph, both of whom are working to give her a reason to stay. Then comes along Mr. LeBeau.
Six years her senior and a fresh addition to the official team, Gambit represents everything Mava wishes she could see in herself. After weeks of pining and stolen glances at late parties, the two have a one night stand. Which turns into two nights. Three nights. Four nights. The attraction turns into something Mava never before had the chance to experience, which turns into meetings on the rooftop.
The couple continue on like this for a month until Magneto subtly threatens Gambit, and Mava realizes she kind of likes having him around to tick off the man who still refused to claim her as his kin.
(this, of course, is not their only motivation to be together. But it is a contributing factor)
Mava never gave herself a mutant alias. She never cared enough (and Lorna had already taken the cool one.) To this day, Mava has still refused to join the X-Men, short of using their training tech and the dedicated relationship to one of their best. The X-Men was never what she envisioned for herself. She just meant to fit. To find her people.
She's still looking. But until the X-Men move back to Charles Xavier's mansion, Genosha will have to do.
---
sorry this is so long. It could be longer
I have no shame :))))
SOOO your oc is incredible?? So thought out and the story is believable to be a legit mutant in the universe !
I love how much detail you put into it, connecting Mava with so many storylines and other characters. I love her. I love how complicated her story is with herself, the ups and downs of her past and lineage. I also really like how she is somewhat on her own, how she doesn't want to 'join' a team.
And that Gambit romance?? Yesss~
Also don't have any shame. I love hearing people gush about their ocs.

Baking powder is used to make Gulab Jamun soft and fluffy and it is prepared by frying and dipping it in sugar syrup. Gulab Jamun is a very tasty sweet. In the winter season, people like to eat it hot.
To make Gulab Jamun recipe, we prepare a mixture of maida, mawa and paneer by kneading it like a dough. After the mixture is prepared, small lemon-sized tablets are made of the mixture. Syrup is prepared to make Gulab Jamun. We will prepare the syrup with sugar and water. Now you have to fry the tablet and dip it in sugar syrup and after keeping it in syrup for some time, you have to take out this tablet. Your Gulab Jamun is ready.
Friends, today we will make Gulab Jamun at home in a completely confectionary style. As you eat in spring market, today we will tell you how to make very tasty Gulab Jamun which will be liked by all. Let's learn how to make Gulab Jamun at home. That too in a very easy way.
Gulab Jamun is such a dessert whose name starts watering everyone's mouth, whether it is children, old or young, most people like Gulab Jamun very much, most people put it in the menu of birthday parties, marriages, and any auspicious work. also include.
This is a very famous sweet, although Gulab Jamun can be made in many ways. But today we will make Gulab Jamun made of Mawa, Paneer and Maida, which will be very soft and delicious to eat. It is very easy to make at home and it takes more than 40 to 50 minutes to make. Let's go to Gulab Jamun recipe.
Ingredients required to make Gulab Jamun recipe:
To make Gulab Jamun Dough
300 grams Mawa
125 g paneer
40 grams flour
1 tsp baking powder
for filling
10 cashews (cut into 3-4 pieces each)
10 almonds (one cut into 3-4 pieces)
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp pistachios
for syrup
700 grams sugar syrup
5-6 cardamom crushed]
350 grams water
to fry
ghee as required
Gulab Jamun Recipe Method:
make syrup
1. To prepare sugar syrup, we have to take a pan or pan and put 700 grams of sugar and 350 grams of water in it. Now it has to be kept for cooking and sugar has to be dissolved.
2. When all the sugar dissolves well and starts boiling. So with the help of a spoon, drip a few drops of sugar syrup in the bowl. Now stick the sugar syrup with the help of your finger and thumb, if ½ string is being formed, then your sugar syrup is ready.
3. When the syrup comes to a boil, put 5-6 crushed cardamoms in it, so that all the aroma spreads in the syrup.
4. Now your sugar syrup is ready, keep the sugar syrup on a side burner so that the sugar syrup remains hot.
prepare the dough
5. To prepare dough, in a large bowl, grate paneer and mava. Now add flour and baking powder to it and mash it well with the help of hands.
6. When mashed well, it will knead like flour and prepare a fine dough. When the dough is ready, break small pieces of dough the size of a lemon and keep them.
do filling
7. The dough balls we have made. We will take those balls one by one and keep 2-2 pieces of cashew nuts, almonds, raisins and pistachios in the middle of the ball and make a round ball like a lemon.
8. Similarly, we have to make all the people into bullets.
fried gulab jamun
. To fry Gulab Jamun, first of all we have to take a pan and heat the ghee in the pan when the ghee becomes hot. The tablets have to be put in ghee (as much as can be fried in ghee). And the flame of the pan has to be slow and the balls have to be roasted well.
. Ghee has to be kept on pouring lightly over the tablets and do not stir, otherwise the tablets may disintegrate in the ghee.
. When the balls turn nicely brown. So take out the tablet and dip it in sugar syrup. And let them remain in the sugar syrup for at least 1-2 hours, if the syrup has cooled down, then warm it a little.
. Now your Gulab Jamun is absolutely ready. Enjoy hot Gulab Jamun and you can eat it with Rabri as well.
. These gulab jamuns are very tasty, all of you must try this recipe of gulab jamun at home and share your experience with us.

"You have nothing to apologize for." She let out a sigh through her nose. Ultimately their babies were up there playing together and being looked after by mava. " At least they have mava to look after them I guess. I think it was just extra hard because I only had Wally but he had to help with the kids and Meli couldn't be there all the time either." She shook her head, tears still streaming down her face. "My actions aren't justified in any world. It is a mess because I decided to step out to work on things and took the kids. I just couldn't bear to not have them with me. I just wanted to snuggle my babies. You know how that goes." She shook her head. "I don't expect him to be understanding. I did the one thing I promised him I wouldn't do." She let out a sigh. "Right now the only thing I want is to see my husband and apologize to him. Rip the band aid off if he does want a divorce."
Di released a soft breath through her nose and bent down to be on eye level with her best friend and sister. Setting both of her hands on her lap she reached for one of lucie's hands. Touch had always been their thing too. It was funny how similar yet so different romantic and platonic relationships were. It was her way of silently telling her that everything that happened between them was now in the past. She had her back.
She waited until she was finished to start talking. There was hurt and pain etched on her face and that broke Di's heart. She was no stranger to losses and luckily each and every loss she had support. It was this time that they weren't together that her best friend went through something wo traumatic on her own and that made her feel so guilty. One hand slowly caressed her face and brought her into her chest to wrap her arms around her. Hearing her sniffles she kissed her head and laid her own against her head. "I'm sorry so sorry, babes. Nothing could be said to make it better but just know after the pain subsides this little one is up there with ours. They just weren't ready for us this round. You should have told me. I understand why but we go through things together whether they're happy or sad. You know, you're just as important to me as Andy is. You wouldn't have overshadowed my day with your news." She kept caressing her hair brushing it and wrapping a strand over her ear. Hearing that lu took the kids made her grimace as that was something she knew would never be done unless the situation called for it. This seemed like a bigger mess than di originally thought. "Hey, you just did what you felt the need to do. No one can blame you for that. You needed him there and he wasn't. I don't think that's something you can just get over. Even if it was work related." She could understand. But then again, she knew she was lucky because Andy was his own boss so if there was an emergency then he could clock out easily than her brother in law could. "Hey, hey. I'm sure he understands. If he doesn't I'll kick his ass." She tried to make her laugh. Wiping her eyes she smiled and sighed. "You're staying here now for as long as you need. I'll take care of you. You just let me know what you need. No questions asked. I got you."

T’Challa made his way into Erik’s rather large and extra palace suite, arms behind his back and shoulders straight. He had on a beautiful gold and purple Dashiki with matching linen pants, feet covered in Shuri’s new collection of sneakers that were sound proof and made with vibranium.
“What?” He replied malevolently.
Erik was in the middle of being rubbed down with fresh, raw Wakandan Shea Butter from the popular and historic Shea Trees of the Wakandan jungle. Supposedly the butter has long lasting protection for days and healing elements for scars, bumps, and bruises. The palace maid looked timid as she applied the butter to Eriks naked form, avoiding his ass and dick completely. T’Challa looked on with annoyance, not really thrilled to see his cousins bare behind with his doors wide open.
“I SAID WHAT?” His cousin's sharp tone caused the girl to drop the container of butter.
“We are having a royal dinner and I would like you to meet my fiancé. T’Challa didn’t feel like getting into a banter with N’Jadaka today.
“Fiancé? What ever happened with you and that annoying ass bitch Nakia?” Erik admired himself in his full length mirror like he was the fairest of them all, stroking his goatee and looking at his muscles glistening from the melted Shea butter on his skin. T’Challa rolled his eyes at Erik’s vain personality.
“Nakia is NOT a bitch… and it did not work out for us.” T’Challa wanted to get past that, move on. He was getting married to Ororo Munroe. She was more so known as Storm being a part of the X-men. T’Challa did have his doubts with Erik meeting Ororo but this was his family and the Kenyan princess would be a part of the Royal family as well.
“Yeah, she's not a bitch, you were.” Erik laughs, “she had you wrapped around her finger, bruh.”
“For one SECOND N’Jadaka can you please act civil! Ororo doesn’t need to witness nor be apart of your mess-“
“What am I doing? You’re the one that walked up here all high and mighty trying to tell me to act right. I’m a grown ass man, T’Challa. I’ll play nice for your little Fiancé though,” Erik looked down at the wakandan maid, admiring her pretty braided hair and chocolate skin. Puckering his lips, he air kissed her dangerously, his dick all in her face making her shiver.
“Sakra, you may leave,” T’Challa called to the girl, glaring at Erik for toying with her like that.
“Yes, my king,” Sakra lifts from her crouched position, capping the butter and bowing to Erik before making her leave. T’Challa smiles softly at her, brushing her past as he focused back on his maddening cousin, finally wearing black linen pants and a wool black robe to match.
“Remember, N’Jadaka, you are a royal prince now. You can’t go around doing such things like that. ufanele ube neentloni,” T’Challa could feel his beads buzzing, preferring it on silent when he was within the palace.
“Shuri, is dinner ready?” T'Challa looked at his younger sister’s holographic figure, a big grin on her face and hair out in its natural afro.
“Why else would I be calling, brother?!”
“A new discovery? Maybe to annoy me like the sister you are?” T’Challa bantered.
“I’ll save that for later. Where are you?!”
“N’Jadaka’s room. Tell Queen Mother to hold on for us. Is Ororo there?”
“She is, and she looks so beautiful! Nakia would be jealous!”
“Aye! Stop it!” T'Challa's African accent was strong.
“All good fun, hurry up!” Shuri ended the call.
Erik was putting on his last minute jewelry that was unnecessary. Golden Jaguar necklace, gold fangs, kimono beads, and even gold rings.
“It’s just food, N’Jadaka.” T’Challa shakes his head.
“Mad you can’t pull this off?” He teased his cousin, smiling with those killer dimples.
“ndingathini? Kumkani” T’Challa finally breaks his shell, arrogance showing through. Erik’s jaw clenched with anger, annoyed with the fact that T’Challa had to constantly remind him that he was the fucking King. Just months ago he YEET his ass over the cliff damn near killed him. He would YEET his ass over the balcony of his palace room right now if it wasn’t for his more civil nature.
“You love using that against me, don’t you?” Erik’s tone was dark just like the jade color of his eyes.
“Just a gentle reminder since you enjoy being an ass,” T’Challa laughs, turning to leave.
“Enjoy it while you can, nigga.” Erik could only hope that T’Challa would fall ill or some shit. Maybe if Iron man didn’t reverse the effects of the snap Erik would still be king while filling the space. Being a ruler of Wakanda felt good. He missed that. Now, he was back to being Prince N’Jadaka and lead General for the Wakandan War Dogs.
“Calm yourself, N’Jadaka. Remember who spared your life.” T’Challa didn’t wait for a response, closing Erik’s double doors made of pure gold.

Ororo Munroe sat within the grand dining hall that was surrounded by the tropics. She had a long backless lilac dress on with her silver hair flowing over her pretty brown shoulders. The layout was simply too much but she understood the reasoning. Looking down at the rare amethyst rock carved into a ring on her finger, she twirled it back and forth to watch it catch the rainbows.
T’Challa was going to be her husband. She said yes before she could stop herself. There were strong mutual feelings back when she was a teen after finding her way to Serengeti. Deciding it was best to part ways, Ororo hadn’t seen him again until a year ago when he joined up with The Avengers.
Ororo sipped her aged wakandan rum, thinking about how she would become the Queen in only a few short weeks. Pressing a hand to her forehead, Ororo tried to calm her anxiety, the feeling of walls closing in around her triggering her claustrophobia. She needed some wild mava kush blend that a friend of hers of the Botanical Society of South Africa made. The kush always calmed her nerves when she felt on edge.
Three large raps of a gold staff alerted everyone in that room, all of them standing to their feet followed by Ororo. First entered Shuri, then came the Queen Mother, Ramonda. Ororo smiles, bowing her head respectively at Ramonda as she took her place next to Shuri who waved animatedly at Ororo. Next came a face she hadn’t seen before but heard about. The unknown cousin to T’Challa that seemed to stir everyone within that room.
N’Jadaka.
Ororo noticed his rather loose form, egotistical walk, and dark eyes. Seating himself next to Shuri, N’Jadaka doesn’t even look her way, grabbing the bottle of aged rum and pouring himself a generous amount that slushed wildly within his golden goblet covered in African gemstones. Ramonda gave him a warning look, causing Erik to kiss his teeth, sitting the bottle back in the center.
“KING T'CHALLA. King of Wakanda!!!”
Everyone stood, even Erik out of respect even though he looked as if it pained him. T’Challa enters, that same rigid form and intense authoritarian eyes sweeping across the room silencing everyone.
“kulilungelo ukuba nive nonke. wakanda naphakade!”
T’Challa did the signature Wakanda symbol, everyone in that room following up including Ororo.
“WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!!”
T’Challa smiles warmly, walking forward with his eyes on Ororo. She returned the same gaze, waiting for her fiancée to speak.
“Today’s meal is a celebration for my beautiful Fiancé, Ororo.” Eyes were the spotlights for Ororo.
“She will be the new Queen of Wakanda beside me, and I could not have chosen a better woman. Beautiful, strong, caring. Me and Ororo have a history that none of you would understand. I am the luckiest that I’ve ever been, and that is luckier than being King.”
Ororo watched as T’Challa walked towards her, the dining hall silent as their king approached the future queen. Even in a room full of people he looked like he wanted to eat her. Storms name, Ororo, translated in her language as beauty which best suited her. The magical aura she possesses from her ancestors being sorceresses and priestesses automatically gave her appeal aside from her striking beauty. Full lips, eyes that changed the color of her hair when her powers were in full force, skin so smooth it was chocolate silk, smell of tropical rain and peppermint scented pelargonium on her skin. She was T'Challa's weakness. Ororo stood, taking T’Challa’s hands in hers, watching as he brought them to his mouth to kiss gently. His inviting mocha eyes made her eyelids flutter. He gave her a teasing smile and a wink in return.
“So beautiful,” he rubbed her cheek with his knuckles, causing the powerful woman to blush.
“Panther Goddess Bast sent you to me,” T’Challa whispers between them before placing a kiss to her lips again. What they hadn’t realized was that every man at that table looked at her like a piece of meat. Their mouths watered, skin prickled, hearts pounded. The strong magical pull affected them all. Even Erik. He never looked at Nakia…but Ororo…
“Let’s eat! We can’t let this wonderful Wakandan meal go to waste!” T’Challa’s voice snapped everyone out of their reverie.
Everyone agreed cheerfully, cooks and palace maids passing around meals and filling goblets with rum or pomegranate juice. T’Challa seats himself next to Ororo, pouring his own glass of rum. Raising his glass, Ororo follows suit, clinking glasses with him before taking a long sip. She needed that drink with how intense things were going. Eyes sweeping about the room, Ororo watched everyone talk Xhosa, eat delicious food, and drink the strong rum like they were chugging water. Placing a lock of her thick hair behind her ear, Ororo’s cinnamon gaze landed on a pair of obsidian colored ones. Locked in a staring contest, she watched the brewing flame within his eyes almost spark her. Scanning her body painfully slow, N’Jadaka takes her in like it was for the first time, learning her from across the table. She felt completely bare under his eyes, a hand coming up to clutch her chest. He smiled smugly.
“That would be N’Jadaka. My cousin.”
Ororo blinked, looking over at T’Challa’s handsome face as he chewed his slow cooked Oxtail.
“N’Jobu’s son?”
“Yes. He looks like him, doesn’t he?”
“A little, not the dimples...they must be his mothers.” Ororo wondered who his mother could be.
“His mother is American.” T’Challa grabs a Chapatis to scoop up some spicy red sauce. He was so invested in his food that he hadn’t noticed the lust and interest in his own cousin's eyes towards his fiancé.
“Arabella is the Cairo princess, correct?” T’Challa asks.
“Yes, not particularly a favorite with her bending of the rules but she’s getting better.”
“I wonder if we could get her and N’Jadaka to meet? Maybe he would be interested.”
Ororo looked at T’Challa quizzically, “You would like to arrange that?”
“Why not? He could use a distraction. Erik needs a companion besides his five cats that roam the castle. A prince single? He should be with someone.” T’Challa laughed to himself, humor and mischief in his eyes.
“We both know how horrible Arabella is. She wouldn’t be a great girlfriend or wife, T’Challa.” Ororo senses that T’Challa wanted to do this on purpose because of the tension between them both.
“You aren’t playing fair, T’Challa,” Ororo spoke with a soft and alluring tone, “just because you are upset with how things are with your cousin doesn’t mean you should interfere with who he falls in love with.”
T’Challa breathes out a sigh, shaking his head before forking a potato, “He talks to me like I didn’t heal his wound. He doesn’t respect me as King.” That was a personal situation Ororo did not want to get into at the moment. She decided to leave the matter alone for now, turning to her food.
—-
Throughout the dinner, Ororo avoided Eriks heated eyes and kept her glass of rum close. Why was he so interested? He clearly had no respect for T’Challa with the way he looked at her like he wanted to fuck her. She considered sweeping him away with a sudden tornado but that would only kill everyone in that room minus her. Plates were replaced with dessert and at this point Ororo couldn’t take any more food. Just when things were going well, the doors to the dining hall opened revealing two women wrapped beautifully in gold traditional wakandan gowns, natural hair in goddess locs. One was slightly shorter and plump while the other was tall and slender. Silence filled the large open space as the two women stood firm at the tail end of the table, waiting for a response or instruction. Wiping his mouth with a cloth, T’Challa takes his stand, the same ruling stance that hushed the room. Erik looked from the women to T’Challa, a knowing look on his face and the urge to laugh ready to explode within him.
Did this nigga really just do this?
All that power made his head swell and Erik couldn’t wait to see Ororo’s reaction to this. Erik chanced a look at Queen Mother, he could even see the disgust that she tried to hide. Everyone else was clueless and it made Erik want to beat it into their skulls with his Nguni stick that he used for combat.
“Bold,” Erik drinks more rum, wiping the sneer from his face quickly. He wanted to have a little fun. Why not fake surprise just like the rest? He could look at Ororo and give her a reassuring look to calm her hurt. Erik couldn’t keep his eyes off her for a second. The woman was beautiful. It was her skin mostly, it glowed. No… maybe it’s her eyes. She had sexy eyes.
On second thought it was her lips. Erik almost broke his goblet in half from how hard he held it. She was gonna marry T’Challa. How unfortunate. T’Challa cleared his throat, motioning for the two women to speak.
“I am Chioma, daughter to G’foru, warrior of the water tribe.” She was the plump one.
“And I am Hadiya, daughter to Akuchi, Jabari tribe.” The taller one spoke.
T’Challa watched as the Dora followed suit standing from their seats. Ororo waited with confused eyes, flickering from the women to T’Challa. She shifted slightly, clearly feeling out of place.
“We are here to serve our king as sisterwives for Queen Ororo.”
An entire uproar filled the room, some outraged while others agreed.
“SILENCE!” T’Challa spoke loudly, quieting the room.
Erik could not keep his composure. His laugh was the only sound in that room. After about five glasses of the strong rum, Erik’s mouth was sure to get him in trouble.
“I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WENT AND GOT TWO OTHER WOMEN TO BE YOUR WIFE!” Ororo screamed so loud that her glass shattered.
Shuri stomped on Eriks toes, shutting him up. He looked at her like she was stupid, toes burning from the pain. Ororo sat still and stared at the women who looked straight ahead like two dumb ass statues. She could feel her ears ringing now from her rising anger.
“Thank you, N’JADAKA, for your amusement. My cousin always knows when to make light of a situation, right, cousin?” T’Challa spoke sarcastically.
Erik could see the scorching rage in T'Challa's eyes that was masked with a forced smile. Huffing, he keeps eye contact until he looks at Ororo with a lopsided grin. He could see her energy crackling around her. T’Challa didn’t need to worry about Erik, more so Ororo.
“My King, should we go?” Hadiya asks, eyes reading otherwise.
“No,” T’Challa looked over at Ororo’s angry face, “You will stay. The Dora can take you to your rooms and food will be there waiting for you. I’ll be there soon.”
Excitement poured through both women as they followed behind the Dora, excluding Okoye who even had a look of utmost shock on her face.
“THE DINNER WILL CONTINUE AS BEFORE!”
T’Challa took his seat again, grabbing up his fork to continue eating. He completely blocked out Ororo’s glare towards him. Her eyes could be felt briefly changing from cinnamon to silver but all that changed when Ramonda’s warm and nurturing hand gripped hers.
——
After dinner, everyone joined T’Challa in the throne room where he sat alongside Ororo watching his Wakandan people dance and drink the night away. He felt proud to be the ruler of these people. Ororo however sat lazily in her chair, twirling her eighth glass of rum with great interest. Her long claw shaped nails painted black could be sharp enough to scratch the grins off of her sister wives faces. They danced seductively for T’Challa, gaining his attention in the eyes and in his crotch. Ororo almost gagged. She and T’Challa had a lot to discuss after this unnecessary party.
“I think I need to get some air. My claustrophobia is making me suffocate.” Ororo whispered to T’Challa softly.
“Take as much time as you need, Ororo. I will be here waiting for you.”
Accepting his kiss, Ororo stood from her throne chair, walking down the platform with her pretty bare feet and towards the large royal balcony of the palace. The noise faded out as she sipped her rum and walked. The smell of the fresh wakandan air was always soothing and pulled to her aura. Sitting her glass down and causing it to shatter, Ororo gripped the vibranium edge of the balcony, letting out calming breaths.
How could he do this to her? How could he still make her feel second? When things didn’t work out for them in the beginning he ended up with Nakia. Now that things didn’t work out between them he made his way back to Ororo. She always fell for his dazzling smile and chocolate skin. Her hands were in her hair now, scrunching the long silver strands like a mad woman. She adored this man, but he was fgoing to marry two other women to ‘sow his Royal oats’.
“You want some company, beautiful?”
Turning, Ororo spotted N’Jadaka approaching, a cigar in hand and a drink in the other. Taking a puff, he blew out smoke into the fresh air, licking his lips afterward to take a drink. Ororo looked him over, noticing the scarring on his torso. Imagine how much pain he had to be in to do that to himself. This man that T’Challa despised had a story that caught Ororo’s attention.
“It represents the people I’ve killed. I don’t think you want to know the number.” Sneering, Erik approached her, skin smelling like African fantasy: luscious fruit and musk giving him a sweet but sexy aroma. Ororo turned away, breathing in through her nose. The rum was clouding her brain. She can’t be attracted to T'Challa's cousin...that was wrong.
“That’s the second glass you broke within the past two hours, you good?” That Oakland drag made her belly flutter. It felt good to hear an American speak. She faked an American accent living there for so long as a reporter turned X-men.
“As you can see, N’Jadaka, I’m not all well.” Ororo brushed her hair over her shoulder.
“He is a fucking idiot,” chuckling, N’Jadaka offered some of his rum to Ororo, but she kindly declined.
“Just more for me then, Isondo,” she could hear the flirty nature in his tone.
“Don’t call me that. It’s disrespectful to refer to me as sexy when I am your cousin's fiancé.” Ororo gripped her upper arms as if covering herself.
“You cold?” N’Jadaka’s husky voice practically singing in her ear.
“No. Can you back up?” She shot daggers at him with her eyes, causing N’Jadaka to step away.
“Fiery. I like that,” he laughs smugly, drowning the rest of the rum and focusing on his cigar, “He doesn’t deserve a woman like you. T’Challa thinks he can have whatever the fuck he wants and clearly having you is the golden egg. Too bad you look like you’re ready to rage a fucking storm.”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She sassed him.
“I would actually. I heard about what you can do. Show me.”
“Excuse me?”
“Show me what storm is all about,” N’Jadaka invades her space again, eyes on the evening sky.
“Show me lightning.” Blinking away from the stars, he looked down on her, “Show me a thunderstorm, no...a hurricane.”
His eyes were wild and lustful. Ororo blinked away tears, her psionic powers over weather affected by her emotions. She often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather.
“And I heard about how cunning you are. You used to be a thief, right? So did I. I bet me and you could have made the perfect team. Stealing vibranium, giving back to our people the proper way, beating niggas asses and snapping necks,” N’Jadaka took his fingers to touch her soft hair, “You’re dangerous just like me.”
Ororo smacked his hand away, touching her hair as if it were infested, “You’re disgusting. You can have any woman you want and you choose to chase me?”
“I always get what I want.” He said with a dangerous smile
“You sure? You didn’t get the throne. T’Challa did that.”
“Yeah...he did. That’s where I fell short but I’m here. I’m in Wakanda now and I still bark orders and make decisions. I’m the one that pushed T’Challa to open the Outreach Centers. If it wasn’t for me, none of that shit would have fucking happened.”
Ororo looked at N’Jadaka with great interest, “That was you? You made him do that?”
“In a fucked up way that resulted in me getting stabbed through the chest, yeah.” Her pretty cinnamon eyes had him hooked.
“Wow...I praised him for that and I should be praising you.” Forgetting her recent disinterest in touching him, Ororo grabbed his hands, grateful eyes dancing with tears.
“I’m happy he finally opened his eyes. You made that happen.” As quickly as she held his hands she let go. N’Jadaka felt a void.
“You didn’t have to stop touching me. Your skin feels good against mine.” His face was dangerously close to hers, their noses almost connecting.
“Did I make you feel better?” He asks in a hushed tone.
“...Not so much. But thank you.” Ororo tucks her chin bashfully only for N’Jadaka to lift it, forcing her to look at him.
“I like what I see...and apparently so do you.”
“I’m not...I can’t N’Jadaka.”
“Erik.”
Confused Ororo looks down at his chest, “Who is Erik?”
“Me. My American name. My alias,” he looked at her juicy lips, “I prefer that anyway.”
“You’re too close, Erik. What if someone sees?”
“So what? I don’t give a fuck about their opinion of me. They already have their minds made up about me anyway so fuck them.” His hard exterior caused Ororo to step back. He was a force to be reckoned with. Erik was the type of man to ruin her in good and bad ways. The temptation to allow this man to use her body was slowly surfacing. His wild nature was like a drug to her.
“I have to go. T’Challa will be wondering where I am.”
“Only if you give him a reason to. I can take you to my private Villa in the mountains? You can let me fuck you like I know you want me to. I bet T’Challa never ate the pussy.”
Ororo gasped from the vulgar comment, covering her cleavage with her silk lilac dress. This man had no pause. He had no filter. Just blunt and obscene.
“You know about the irvingia gabonensis of African trees? There are some planted in the Wakandan jungle,” Erik takes her hair, placing it behind her ear,
“some people call them wild mango, African mango, bush mango, dika or ogbono.”
Ororo’s eyes went low from his smell and the warmth of his touch against her ear. He was enticing her.
“They Bear these edible mango-like fruits that if extracted of their juices can arouse the person,” Erik takes her fingers, kissing each one slowly with his eyes on her. She couldn’t breath at all, her phobia back again like the wakandan air didn’t matter.
“You can ask any woman in Wakanda where they like that juice to be,” Erik nibbled the tips of her fingers, Ororo gasping with pleasure.
“I bet your pussy tastes like irvingia mangos,” his dark chuckle finally did its job with making her pussy wet. Her pussy hadn’t been this wet in a very long time. She thought T’Challa was the only man to ever make her drip as much as she did but here comes Erik with the same effect on her horny body. It was wrong, but sexual desire could cloud your better judgment.
Leaning in close, Erik whispers against her ear, his nose in her good smelling hair.
“If you let me eat I’ll show you just how good I can juice that sweet pussy over and over on my tongue.”
Ororo bit her lip, fingertips sparking. She imagined laying on Eriks bed, allowing this man to please her with his tongue for hours and making her scream and shout. It was so nasty and bad to think of doing that in the same space as the King but the old Ororo didn’t have remorse. He had those perfect lips to sit her pussy on and ride his face.
“I’m getting married, Erik, I can’t do this.”
“You don’t wanna be in a poly relationship, Ororo. You telling me you would rather torture yourself? Nah, I don’t believe that. I’m finna take you back to my room and fuck some sense into you.”
“Are you hearing yourself?!!!” Ororo looked around to be sure no one could hear, “You’re insisting on sleeping with me and without a thought as to how this will hurt the royal family?”
Erik kisses his teeth, “Ramonda doesn’t approve, Shuri sure as hell doesn’t and neither should you. The Dora will kiss T’Challa feet before going against him. We ain’t gotta deal with that!”
Erik gripped the sides of her face, eyes boring into hers intensely.
“All you gotta do is say yes. And it’s not the rum talking. I really wanna take you away from him.”
“You don’t even know me. What makes you think I would jump and do that?”
“Because I already got your attention. All you need is a little push.”
Ororo took one look at his lips, biting her own before leaning in to taste him. His tongue deep down her throat and grunts deep, Ororo moaned. His tongue wiggles and curls like a garden snake and his lips rubbed hers like soft pillows against her face.
“Mmm,” she moaned into his mouth, allowing Erik to suck on her tongue. He was so nasty and demanding. Gripping the back of his head, Ororo battles him, the sloppy passionate kiss making her stomach tightened and her pussy wetter. She could even feel the hardening of her nipples rubbing his studded chest through her silk dress.
“Mhm,” he moaned in return, pleased with his accomplishment. She was so tasty. Ororo pulled away, gasping for air only to give Erik room to invade her neck with his long pink tongue that stroked like a slippery reptile. She shuddered, back arching like his tongue was deep in her pussy. Ororo bounces slightly with need, mimicking the way she would bounce on his tongue if he told her to. Her eyes turned silver, night sky swirling until a strong wind brushed past, closing the balcony doors. Pausing their kiss, Erik looks her dead in the eyes with a sly smirk, getting on his knees now and lifting her dress up and over his head. The high split of the dress revealed her long toned legs draped over his shoulder. Bracing herself on the balcony edge, Ororo could feel her panties slipping to the side while Erik pulled her petals apart.
“Fuck,” she widened her legs, Eriks flat and thick tongue brushing everywhere like he was licking a plate clean. He wiggles that damn tongue against the underside of her clit, alternating between sucking and slurping. Mouth wide and wordless, Ororo clawed the vibranium, hips moving in conjunction with his tongue. She closed her eyes in defeat, all regrets long gone as this man ate her pussy like no other. He circled her clit with his pointed tongue, earning a cry. The tears in the back of her eyes fought to fall from how amazing he ate her.
“Erik,” she whined. He had her begging.
Now he had the nerve to tongue fuck her pussy. Careful not to fall over the edge Ororo held her legs open wider, sliding down on his tongue to give him all of her.
“You’re so good at this, ahhh, it feels so good, N’Jadaka.” She cradled his head closer, rubbing over him gently. Her chest rose and fell with rapid breaths, heart racing at the thought of being caught by T’Challa or anyone for that matter. The long billowing curtains that covered the Palace doors did hide them but that didn’t mean that someone couldn’t be peeking right now. She repeatedly moaned out with every movement Erik made, her intoxicated body moving in slow motion. Drunk or not this felt AMAZING.
“Right there, fuck, yes, right there,” her hitched breath caught in her throat, body frozen as Erik decided to add two fingers inside of her. She could hear him laughing beneath her. Tired of him hiding, Ororo lifted her dress away from his head, lust filled eyes holding his dark and sinister gaze. This man was pure evil sucking on her pussy like a beast. She grabbed a fist full of his tapered dreads, guiding his head as he sucked her clit and finger fucked her pussy.
“Erik!” She was ready to explode.
“Give me all that juice, baby,” he pushed her and pushed, coaxing her with a curl of his fingers.
“Cum on my fucking tongue.” With his command, Ororo shouted so loud it felt like the party beyond those doors ended to see what the screams of pleasure were all about.
“You taste so damn good. Your pretty sweet pussy tastes just like I like it. So pretty and good, baby.”
Erik kisses her entire pussy with love, watching with greedy and admiring eyes as the Storm goddess moaned and weakly spoke his name.
“Erik...oh, Erik...Erik…”
He savagely started eating her again.

every inch a king
“No matter how far from home he goes, he is still--he is still a King, it is ingrained in him from the inside out. And as much as I am afraid of it, it is a great deal to do with why I am still in love with him.” Eilithe said with remorse clinging to the tip of her tongue. Mavas was among the few who could understand what it meant to love and be loyal to Kurel An’diel, the weight of all that he asked. Not just all he asked-- but what he gave in kind. That night she came home to a half-empty house. Eilonwy, gone to Merchant Alley with her friend. Kurel, down at the docks with their second eldest son. Malik was greeted her at the door and clung to her leg. “You can go home, Dianora--I’ve got him,” she told her trusted caretaker. The white-haired Kaldorei bowed with a smile-- leaving mother and son alone. As the boy drifted in and out of sleep, Eilithe found herself thinking far back. It was nearly twenty years ago.
“Do you want me to be weak? Vulnerable? So you can take everything I have built? I am not Lucia. I am stronger than her. I am still alive. You took her ship, her land, part of her heart even– but you will take none of that from me,” Eilithe spat at him
“Your righ’ to be intimidated,” Kurel said against her ear. “If the opportunity arose, I’d take it all from you,” he finished, leaving Eilithe to consider the terms he’d given. Conditions. For his fleet to join hers on the water.
Three days later she’d written him a letter, unable to face a blind man that could see right through her. By now, Eilithe couldn’t recall the exactly what the letter said. Only how it had ended:
Finally, please note that I am willing to negotiate without being a ‘hostile cunt’- this includes my openness to anything I can do to help you.
Until next we meet, Eilithe Duskbringer
And of course how he’d replied.
Eilithe,
First. Yes. Next. Good. Of course.
Finally. I do not believe you.
~ The Pirate King.
She had scoffed at the title, ignorant that his claim to royalty laid not with the sea but the sand.
No, she would give him so much more than a ship or land. She gave him everything. And he had given everything in kind. The weight of Malik’s sleeping body brought Eilithe’s attention back to the present. His cheek was pressed into her stomach, mouth agape and is mismatched eyes lulled shut. A single curl was pushed away from the boy’s face with a single clawed finger.
Of the things he’d given, his own love and his children were those she held closest to her chest. Even the children who were far away now. Somewhere she could no longer protect them.
Malik was limp as Eilithe carried him up the stairs to his bed. As she set him into his bed, she lingered there in his doorway until she dragged herself back downstairs to the study. Two parchments obtained, Eilithe set to work on the first letter.
Eronal,
It has been many years since you and I have spoken and I hope to every God that will hear me that you are alive. None would speak on your fate after Ammon was unseated and the fault lies with me for never seeking you out myself.
If there is still hope in you, if there is still fight in you-- I beg that we arrange a meeting. My messenger will ensure you are safe and that our messages are secured.
Stay out of sight on the sands, Eilithe
By the time she’d finished the first, the front door creaked open. The footfalls went unheard-- which meant they were not Kurel’s. Without a knock, the office door pushed open slowly, Loren’s shoulder leaned into the frame. “You summoned?” He sounded almost bored by it, being called so late at night. “You’re leaving at dawn,” Eilithe proclaimed, sealing the first letter and beginning the next.
“Oh? Well, that’s much more exciting, my lady,” he eyed her desk with a hard gaze. “And where am I going?”
Eilithe didn’t answer. The second letter contained no names-- for safety of her daughter above all else.
Kallah, When you left home, I did not stop you; though with every ounce of my being I wanted to keep you here. I cannot say inside of this letter all the things I should have after your Uncle exposed truths to you that your father and I should have said long ago. But I will say this:
We never told you-- because it never mattered. Because I know what you are, before anything else, is good. You are witty and strong and you are my daughter. I knew that you would leave one day-- all children must when they become adults. And you, kallah, you were made to become one far too quickly.
Now, more than ever, we need you at home. It is no longer safe for you to be where you are, so please, return to us before something terrible happens. I will explain everything. Every piece that was ever hidden from you and everything that has happened in your absence.
Please come home, Mai
“Eilithe?”
“Tanaris,” she responded curtly-- drying ink on the second letter before she sealed it up and made a small ‘x’ on the back of its envelope. “The first letter you will give to Eronal Dawnseeker-- if she still lives. She’ll be hard to find. You remember what she looks like?”
“Blonde and fragile,” Loren responded.
“Mm,” she stood to go to the wall, encircling a small range of mountains. “You see this portion of the sands? You don’t go there. Under any circumstances. If you are captured...”
“I know,” he said. “The second?”
“Karkah An’Diel, I’ve no idea where she is-- but if she is in Tanaris-- and she may be. Get. Her. Out. Call for back up if you have to and do not underestimate her,” Eilithe warned, giving him a stern stare.
“I remember, Lady An’Diel.”
“Karkah’s letter is priority--once you find her, abandon search for Eronal. And Loren, if you find Severin out there...somewhere. Capture him or finish what you started.”
He paused for a moment, lips pursed together-- eyes tight on Eilithe’s form. “What?” He asked, brow quirking upward.
“He survived. He survived and he very well might become a danger to my entire family now. At the very best, he might be able to help us.” Eilithe crossed her arms, staring out of the back window. “Now go back to Harbinger’s Gate. Before Kurel returns and he decides he is in a particularly foolish mood.” Not another word came from the whisper--silence, before the click of the front door came. Eilithe waited for a few beats before she wandered into the front room.
When the familiar and bulky silhouette came through that door, Eilithe stopped him there in the doorway. Black hair that hung around his face came from his father and his father’s father. His frame was imposing, even in comparison to taller, full-blooded Kaldorei. She could not deny that even this far from the sands he was still-- every inch, the scorpid king.
Eilithe pressed a kiss to the corner of his lips as the door shut behind him. The immediate show of affection and outright clinginess of his wife might’ve sparked paranoia in Kurel An’Diel-- but she gave him no seconds to protest before she spoke softly against his ear.
“Come to bed.”

my mind’s wandered off into destiny but strangely not toward the hive, instead i’ve been thinking Thoughts about mava and i think i’ve settled on her personal relationship with her number
i really love the goofster backstory i had made at one point eons ago where lox & lio said she was a truck (bc her character was 100% inspired from my brain’s personification of the mav from the martian) and then some fun discord convos about “ok but did all exos need to be meat-people first?” gave me enough wiggle room to make the truck background work, which is a somewhat rambling way to say before she was implanted in an exo body, she was an AI in a vehicle on mars in the golden age, and also an even more rambling way to get to my original point which is that she uses her number not to track resets, but to track how many distinct physical bodies she’s inhabited (mava-0 being the vehicle AI, mava-1 being her initial braytech exo body, mava-2 being her reconstructed guardian body)
#//juri speaks#destiny#oc: mava 2#cosmetic refreshes don't count or we'd be in trouble with as many times as i've deleted & remade her bc i wasn't satisfied with her d2 look

+ / - Magic AU: Your OC has suddenly lost or suddenly gained magic. What is their life like now?
Per me bothering you, let's give Mavas Holy Magic! I have no idea how he'd get Holy magic, but let's say somehow, for some reason, some nice (sadistic) holy user decides the best thing for mister warlock assassin is to purge every last drop of darkness from him. Let's say he survives this somehow too, because just "Mav dies" wouldn't be useful to the AU.
At first he wouldn't know what to do. Being connected to a power that requires control and faith in something wouldn't be that difficult to translate from his fel usage into the Light, but the sheer difference would be staggering and daunting. He'd try to hide away, honestly paranoid of what others would see him as without what he considers his actual strengths.
Eventually he'd ask for help, either from his family, or seeking out someone who might owe him a favor or six that could get him an instructor. With his capacity to learn and adapt I think he'd make a terrifying Holy user, with a focus on destruction and power. He'd definitely be a retribution light user, possibly with a dabbling in healing as it would interest him in an academic way.
He would work to stay much the same in his lifestyle, albeit a bit less sneaky. He'd hate the gold eyes, and probably enchant them to be fel green again, a vain reminder of the power he had once possessed. Plus it could possibly trick a few people into expecting one thing, and getting something far different.

Two Knights, Tonight. (Pt. 2)
Weeks had gone by when Jackary had turned to Darnath in the Emerald Dream and confessed that he needed to wake up and go see the real Darnath, that he had felt as if he had missed something and needed to check on him. It was in that moment of waking up that Jack realized just how awful it all was. Two years, no link, no feeling, no sensation. His comm was dead and even when he got it working, the system didn’t register - he had even slipped into headquarters but nothing was the same... Darnath’s trackers, his old ones before the updates, of course didn’t register, leaving Jackary stranded. That was then.
This was now.
Dicenne had somehow convinced Jack to get some sleep, swearing up and down he would wake Jackary up within a few hours and after a bit of reluctance, the dragon finally agreed. Within the Dream, his eyes opened slowly, going from a world of darkness and terror to the softest morning ray of sunlight caressing through his fluttering lashes. Like awakening from a nightmare only to find the warmth and security of your bed. Such a sensation brought a small exhale of relief and yet it was still disturbing. He knew he hadn’t found what he was looking for. Yet.
Herah and Alin where busily working in other parts of the forest, Mavas was working in the glade, and Rick was cleaning up the house. They had all done really well, getting as much of the nightmare that had rushed through their home cleaned and purified again. They were all growing bigger now. Stronger, like mini aspects inside the dream world Jack had forged and Darnath worked to ever expand into somewhere worth staying. At least that's what he had been doing.
Now he had more leisure... well 'time' didn't exist, but hobbies did. It could almost have been one of the early days. The warmth of sunlight filling the gentle calm of the room. This time Dar had picked up sketching, sitting not far from the dragon's resting form as he drew up a picture of each little scale and muscle that made up the sleeping dragon's curled cat like lounge. Belly up, legs akimbo, totally relaxed. Though that may not be the way he was laying just now... "Morning sleepy head... Or welcome back?" He shifted over to the bed to be closer and smiled. "Not going to complain about you waking up early... but you know you're welcome to nap as long as you like, right?"
The peridot hues shifted slowly and the moment he saw Darnath's faces be it dream or not, a pang of hurt swelled in his chest. The tears that again threatened were blinked away and a hand cupped his own mouth, silencing any noise of discomfort. He'd really messed up and what had been heaven felt like some sort of cruel joke.
"I can't find you." Jack finally admitted, muffled into his palm before both hands raised to rub at his eyes firmly and in frustration. "I can't feel the link, the comms aren't functional, I can't fucking find you... I just keep looking and it's just like when I lost--..." he paused, wracking his brain for the name. It had already begun, the slow erasure. "... Karasu." Scourge attacks, missing mate in Icecrown, it was the same hellish nightmare repeating itself. He was so confused, hurt and unsure of himself anymore. "I feel like... there, you don't want to be found. I would be mad at me, too... for being gone so long."
Darnath furrowed his brow at the sudden explosion of emotions and quickly put his sketches down. He trilled his tongue, the soft coo of a comforting parental dragon to help Jack relax. "Baby... Karasu was very precious to you. A phoenix, no? There's a book here with a few memories of him in it..." He started there, because that seemed most likely to be lost in the upset. "Are you mad at yourself?" He reached over, combing fingers through his hair and remaining calm, collected, everything Jack was assuming the real Darnath wasn't. "You wouldn't be pushing yourself into riskier and riskier situations in desperate hope your knight in shining armor will do as he always does and magically just know that you're in trouble would you? Even if you are, I know you're definitely not, accepting that as punishment when he doesn't show up."
"I'm furious at myself." Admitting it was difficult but Jack sniffled, trying his best to remain calm and quiet so as not to let the borders of the little grove shrink and let the nightmare back in. "I have been so careful in not getting into trouble as best I can, I have been working with others but it's hell, Moonlight. The Scourge are everywhere and..." Jack trailed off slightly, for Darnath had a point. What if he just... set off one of the trackers in his body? Would Dar have come searching the way Jack had been for weeks? Combing Azeroth and making deals with demons while trying his best to remain out of trouble... it was enough to push his palms to his eyes firmly.
"Maybe it is just punishment. I deserve it, I left him hanging because I was scared. I tried to focus on guarding something I thought he loved and I..." Trailing off, Jack's tongue pushed outward to lick his lips slowly. "I can't even feel the bond anymore. Like he simply got rid of it. Even if I was in trouble, he wouldn't know."
Darnath’s chest swelled with a deep breath in and out. Not quite a sigh, but definitely a bit upset for his dragon's sake. "I warned him this would happen. Baby..." He turned to show his Dragonsworn mark towards him, glowing now for how hard the dragon must have been calling to his mate. "I'm holding your bond for now. That's why you cannot sense each other. It was the only way to keep your grove stable enough for you to stay here so long. It keeps me stable, even if you're awake."
The knight thought for a moment before he gently pulled Jack's head and shoulders into his lap to better pet and cuddle him. Soon. Very soon. He'd have to give up the bond that was keeping his strength. "More importantly, I think punishing yourself when you don't know how he feels is... at least a bit premature. Perhaps I have a harder time grasping. I'm right here. I'm always here for you. I can't imagine not being... but you need him."
Eyes peered over to the mark, the glow left a small igniting glow in his own eyes from the resonating power of seeing just where his calling went. Furrowing, Jackary allowed himself to be moved, finding comfort in the connection and touch. The news was something that slightly alarmed the dragon, the fact that the dream version of his partner seemed to know what was going on but he didn’t.
“What?” Confusion remained in his voice but he frowned, ears raised in curiosity. “What do you mean you warned him this would happen? Why do you have the bond?” Had Darnath come into the dream while Jack was unaware? If so, then... When? Why didn’t he stay? Why didn’t he come speak to him? “I do need him, but... I’m confused.”
"I'm still me. Still, him. You asked him to stay once, long ago and so... I never left and helped you build a life in here... Maybe too well. He... I think he came to take you back, but he saw us together, the whelps playing, and felt you were happier here. He may have also felt a bit inadequate. Or had too many memories of seeing you hurting to take you from a place that made you smile."
The comments and facts that Darnath were giving him caused the dragon to close his eyes slowly. “Did he really always think that he didn’t make me happy?” No, it was beyond that, it was the fact that Darnath did what he thought would keep Jack happy and safe, a place where there was constant smiles. Jack should have been more clear, more up front with Dar and that was starting to show. “Can you feel him at all, or no?” It was a long shot but something that he needed to know.
"I have always worried about trying to make you happy. And safe. ...but I do remember feeling like you were never quite happy with me back... then." He was stalling. "Yes, I can feel him. ...He doesn't feel like himself though. Some kind of fractured rage stands in the way of really getting a feel for him. But I felt him strongest just before the nightmare wave washed through here. So whatever you were doing then, you were on the right path." And then, he knew better.. he really did. He knew the answers now, same as he knew Dar's answer when he asked him to stay too, "You know, nothing is stopping you from staying... I know a dream isn't perfect, but as long as I'm here that's proof he loves you. That I love you."
Being told he had been on the right path, Jack’s eyes closed again thoughtfully. He was somehow on the right track and thus meant he needed to return to Icecrown as soon as he woke up. But then the Dream Darnath spoke words that twisted something inside of him and it felt like a pang of guilt that flooded over him. He could have stayed here with this version, cozy and adored, and yet...
“People are dying out there right now, Moonlight. I am trying to help them as we speak and I... I need to apologize to him... To you.” Those eyes opened again to look up at Darnath, his hands raised just enough to grasp onto the Knight’s in order to squeeze them. “He deserves it, he deserves to hear it and know how I feel...” His head titled then, nuzzling at the other’s lap gently. “You both deserve that.”
"Yeeeah, I figured. You've been pretty hung up on that guy since he first went looking for you when you were in danger." He laced their fingers together and loomed over him with a sweet smile. "Carried you all the way from Shattrath to Eversong. ...And then never really let go. Even when you tried to push him away. Or locked away your thoughts so much, your jaw might as well have been tense and shut." Now he was teasing him. Much more like their usual banter, but this time it had a point. Trying to remind him without words what Dar might be feeling. "Be careful. I don't know where it comes from, but he's holding on to some heavy nose punching energy. Make sure to dodge."
"He broke it once before and in truth I deserve it. But I love him, and my life without him in something I don't want to imagine. I never tell him but he makes everything better and I feel safe when he is close to me. I clung hard that day because I realized it and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life, or as long as he would allow me with him." Lips tugged into a small smile and without even realizing it, the tears fell from the corners of his eyes. "Did you know I still carry my vows to him in my pocket? Words I never said, in the same envelope as a love letter I wrote to him years ago that I've always been too shy to give. Words he deserved and deserves to know." Drawing in a deep inhale, a breathless laughter puffed out. "I'm such a fool."
"Maybe. But you're my foolish dragon, Baby. You've always held your words hidden against your chest." He smirked at him. "Are you planning on changing that? More than deserves and shoulds..." he paused to think over his words and purred a moment to keep them both calm. He would disappear again soon. Jack would wake up. "You're always so focused on the past. The last two years. The people you left behind, but even before that. You first came in here comparing this to Karasu. ...Yet your dreams are always striving for the future. Apologize for the past, but while you're looking, maybe think over what you want the future to look like too. Dare to dream my emerald."
“Now you’re sounding like dad...” Jack whispered, but Darnath had a point. He was always so caught up in the past that he hadn’t even looked towards the future or thought about what he wanted outside of apologizing for something he couldn’t change. He needed to change, starting with moving forward. His fangs hooked his lower lip, biting and chewing in thought and yet when those bright peridots looked back up at Darnath, he seemed unsure, almost frightened to admit what he wanted.
“I want a life with him in it, I want to make up for what I did wrong and open up... As you say, more then deserves and shoulds and if that’s not in my cards for the future, then... I don’t know. Move forward.” His ear flicked slightly the moment a faint chime was heard in the distance of a familiar bell but he chose to ignore it a moment, clinging harder to Dar’s hands to keep himself steady. “I have to find you first.”
Jack...
Dar curled up close, shielding him from the sound. He knew he shouldn't cling, but he wasn't done... they were still talking... don't go... "Shoulds and Deserves are an improvement over what if's and never knows at least, but maybe there's more? A life... a future... maybe." Though he had to wonder if the dragon moved on, what was left for a forgotten dream? "Go find him. Go find the real thing, Baby. Whatever that ends up being."
Jackary...
The jingle again rang out but all Jack could do was ignore it in favour of reaching up to cling to Darnath, pulling him down slightly in the odd angle. Claws latched on, clinging to this version, almost scared to face the uncertainty that faced him in the real world. Here he was loved, he was safe and warm and out there, he was unsure. Here, Darnath still loved him and he had already done the apologizing but that was what made it so much harder to let go. "I will try my hardest..."
Wake up. It’s time to go.
Eyes snapped open as the soft colours of the dream were replaced with the cold darkness of early dawn, the pain returned to his body as a reminder of the hell he was living in. Looking up to see who was talking to him, Dicenne greeted him with a small smile, glad to see the dragon pull through from the slumber he had been in. The warmth of the Dream was gone, replaced with the cold harness of the ground he’d fallen onto, having rolled off Dice at some point in the night.
“I told you, I’d wake you up.”
A promise kept and after a lingering moment, Jack exhaled slowly and began to stretch his limbs, the tension really just his shedding scales that almost instantly peeled like sleeves, in full sheets of hardening green. The beautiful, bright and new scales below shimmered, even if some were already damaged by the Scourge. He knew where he had to go.
“I have to go back to Icecrown... Something is happening.”

First Meeting, Draft 1
The mated leaders of my clan, Mava and Sunderskull, meet for the first time. This is just the first draft, and not even a finished one, but I still want to share.
It was dark, and he was wounded, and she was very small. This is how he ended up stepping on her left wing, and how he didn’t hear her polite request to get off said wing until it was delivered with a sting of magic. He was in a lot of pain already, but even half-dead, Sunderskull would know the feel of magic.
He yelped. In the attempt to get off the fae he stumbled, then fell. From the moment his head hit the ground, it was obvious he wasn’t getting back up. It was painful, searingly so, but Sunderskull did his best to raise his head and look around. He at least wanted to be surrounded by beauty when he died.
Something radiant stood before him. Sunderskull blinked rapidly, but the imbalance of color did not change; his light-seeing eyes were blinded. The smaller set of eyes, the one that detects heat, were working just fine. That was why the fae looked like a goddess.
“Oh my,” she said, cocking her head to the side. With slitted eyes, Sunderskull watched her crests move as she investigated his condition. He couldn’t tell what they were saying, but it didn’t matter; he knew he was in bad shape.
“I’m going to use magic on you,” the fae finally said after taking a lap or two around his body. Sunderskull startled into consciousness.
“No,” he rasped.
“I’m quite proficient.”
“How do you think I got in this mess? No.”
She cocked her head again, studying his face this time. “You’d die either way.”
“I’d rather die my way than yours.”
“Well, I’d rather you not die at all.” There’s a slight break to the monotony of her voice. “I’m supposed to meet with the Shadowbinder today; if I can patch you up enough, I can take you to her, and she can heal you.”
Sunderskull, feeling more than slightly scorned by the gods at this very moment, did not look upon this idea with much enthusiasm.

Pen Pals
Eronal was both relieved and excited when they had reached the old abandoned ruins that had now been turned into a rebellion’s headquarters. She checked in with all the important people. The heads of divisions for scouting, day watch, night watch, training, and all the inbetweens. She spoke to many more and led them around corners to spy on the weary ship crew that had followed Kurel over the mountain peaks and at Kurel himself.
On her bed pallet waited a return letter from Eilithe. How it had found itself to her was a magical science only letters knew, but even more expected was the letter itself. She read through it slowly and her eyes welled with tears that spilled over their edges and quietly raced down her cheek.
The next day, as she was passing by, she saw through the gap in a curtain Kurel and the old woman named Mags. She watched as the woman hugged him like a mother would a surviving son come home from an extended war and he clutched the back of her robes in return, like a boy who had found a long lost family member.
That evening, after the days tasks had been completed, Eronal sat back down on her pallet. She fished out a few sheets of paper, a quill, and a book to use as a desk on her lap.
Mother Mirage,
I feel obligated now to write back. Something about getting a letter, feels wrong not to respond to it. I want you to know I cried for you. You hear stories about people and their love for each other and you hope, as a youngling, it one day happens to you. Not here I guess. Lots of old blood and old elves and old tensions. They seem to outlast the sand scoured mountains themselves. Families trade families for peace. Suppose that’s just the way. Suppose what I’m expected to do.
I don’t know what you know or don’t already know. I figured it’d be good, if we survive, that you know some things ahead of time. Impress some folks. They’ll still look at you funny and probably not like you, because you’re an Outsider. But you ain’t the first. There were two before you. According to Papa one died and one just left. Whole sect got turned upside down both times. I don’t think you want to hear those stories.
Have you ever been told about the woman named Mags? They say she has survived more kings than kings have survived. They also say that she was the first to master the secrets of the Sandfury magic after Vishak stole it. She’s been the First Tender since before I was born and when the old Crone finally died, Mags became the new one. Some people call her ‘the original’.
She’s the one performs all the ceremonies. They say she communes directly with Mueh’zala himself. She performs all the rights and rituals at the temple. Everything from inducting Outsiders into the sect to the ritual offerings of the newborns to the loa.
I know Mags ain’t his mother. Papa said I should never ask about some people's pasts. I mean Mags is nice to everyone. She takes care of everyone. She ain’t swayed this way or that way by any trueborn or family name. But there’s just something you feel when you see them together. There’s a story there, but can’t deny I’m afraid to ask.
You know it was Mags who helped extract Kurel’s children? I was told to take the boy to her after I broke him out of the arena. Ammon was gonna fight him or execute him the next day. Zelphryin didn’t think that was a good idea, so he made some arrangements for him to ‘escape’. Come to find too, Kurel had a daughter already in Mags’ keeping. The boy getting hauled into the city was the strings of fate for sure. Cause I was gonna have to take the girl, but sending her with her brother. Worked out for the best, I guess. Found out they ended up with you.
Guess I should be getting back to it. Kurel lost about twenty men coming over the mountain pass. The dark haired one. Mavas. Says we’ll figure it out, but the other. Saeris. Always walks around real pensive like he ain’t buying any of the dark haired one’s optimism. Wish us luck, I suppose. My Papa used to say that whatever’s supposed to happen will happen and ain’t nothing we can do to change that.

At dawn the following day, she passed the letter off to a runner with a destination for Gadgetzan.

Beginnings
“Gaezo. We apologize for being late. What’s the plan?”
Mavas’ voice was always quick and it was always precise. On the edges of Uldum a small tent city had been erected and for a week a collection of less than seventy men of the sea had lived while awaiting further orders. Every day that tent city was broken down and carried twenty miles in a different direction. Erected in a new location. Kurel didn’t trust the sands, he didn’t trust the people who called it home, and there were more enemies scattered across its vast and seemingly endless dunes than any of the domestic or foreign conflicts he had in Deadsun. To hear Mavas’ arrive, supported by that of Saeris, was the first sense of ease he had felt since the docks of Deadsun had vanished behind a horizon.
“We leave for Ramkahen. We abandon the tents. Everythin’. Perry an’ Mugara have stayed behin’ with some crew an’ will sail The Queen’s Gambi’ back to Sunspire… for storage.” That last part was hard to force out and Saeris’ face twisted with his own brand of hurt.
“Ramkahen, the men will need clothes. Ones better suited for this climate. We’ll ge’ canteens. Water. Rations. Then hope for the bes’ as we cross the border.” He gestured for the pair of them to follow as he turned and stalked across the micro encampment to a specific tent. A finger pointed at Eronal harshly, but no words with it, as a gesture to follow. Under the tattered salt watered canopy was a table and on that table, a fading map.
“Tell them.” Kurel snapped at Eronal who winced and stepped forward to move her fingers among different points of the mountain border that divided the territory of Uldum and Tanaris.
“The Shafise typically keep watchers up in these here portions. They’ve a long standin’ accord with The Mirage and Ammon’s upheld that truce so long as they’ve been useful an’... useful they have been. Nothin’ and no one really ever gets through without them bein’ aware and alertin’ those needin’ alertin’.”
“So we can’t take the easy way.” Kurel said flatly.
“So we take the hard way.” Said Mavas, in a manner that was almost expectant and not at all laced with complaint.
“The Jackle Clan’s got two mobile caravans that patrol the base edges on the Tanaris side and then there’s of course The Harlequin Suns.” “The Harle-queen who’?” Saeris asked, fumbling the word.
“Harlequin Suns.” Kurel repeated for him. “Ligh’ an’ shadow weildin’ marauders, led by my once frien’, Surresh.”
“Once friend?” Mavas inquired and Kurel’s lips turned even further downwards in a scowl.
“Surresh has spen’ the length of his life tryin’ to topple the Mirage an’ he’s come close a few dozen times or so. He doesn’t wan’ to conquer i’. He simply wants to eradicate it. He foun’ belief in the human’s Holy Light.” Kurel snorted.
Saeris just stared while Mavas gave a slow, but understanding nod as Eronal continued.
“It’s a lot of back trackin’ but the back trackin’ might and may slow any trackers we already got on us or lose them completely. So we go to Ramkahen and get what’s needed. Come back down here to The Cursed Landin’ and climb these mountains here.” She pointed towards the peaks of the eastern line.
“Why there?” Inquired Mavas.
“Largest mountain stretch.” She continued. “Shafise can’t watch’em all. There’s a cave on the other side. Some ol’ collapsin’ ruins in there that’s mostly ignored. Those wantin’ to fight have worked to smuggle supplies and’ materials into there. I ain’t the only one belivin’ in Kurel. Two, maybe three hundred more want Ammon ursurped and want Kurel back on the throne.”
Kurel’s head shifted sharply to her in a glare and both Saeris and Mavas’ eyes widened in disbelief of that very last statement.
“I ain’t stayin’ when this is done.” Kurel snarled.
“Two… maybe three hundred against how many?” Mavas asked calmly.
“A few several thousand.” She said, looking warily between Mavas and Kurel as she did. And in unison both Saeris and Mavas’ heads turned to regard Kurel who seemed to have taken a prefered blind stare at the ground.
“We’ll worry abou’ the numbers later. For now. We worry abou’ gettin’ to Ramkahen an’ then gettin’ up over those mountains-- withou’ alertin’ the Shafise. Ain’t afraid they’ll attack, jus’ concerned they’ll snitch. Saeris.”
“Cap’n?”
“Ge’ the men mobile. Single packs only. Everythin’ else stays.”
