I'm making a small adjustment
I'm making a decision to hopefully help speed things along on here. I'm going to focus a little less on making sure my art looks perfect. Perfect lines, perfect hands, perfect hair... the hands and hair really get me sometimes
If I keep posting at this rate I won't have all these asks answered for at least a couple years or possibly longer 👀 💧
I completely underestimated what having a blog like this would require so I'm going to have to improvise for everyone's sake. Possibly messier drawings, a very limited amount of time that I can accept requests... things like that

OKAY, SILLY COMIC!!! Sorry to anyone that expected a proper intense comic at the mention of lore revelations but "absurd" had been the keyword. I was going to continue the wall of text but I realized if I went any further I mightve had to add content warnings on my post so I just left it as is. Anyway, I thought it would be funny if Finn's cooking skills and habits were more than just a hobby for him, and at some point he got tossed around doing some missions in all sorts of different kitchen environments over Europe, so not only does it reinforce his more fanciful cooking, but he's also been a witness to his own personal Hell's Kitchen moments, which also reinforced his morals and ethics because hhoooooooo boy.
Anyway, tap/swipe on the pictures and enjoy😊

I spent much of the day with my parents, who I'm visiting after the requisite post-COVID time (I still have a cough and am easily tired, but neither is nearly as bad as a couple of days ago). It was really fun—we talked a lot, I got to see the family pets, my dad and I played one of my favorite card games (Neolithic; it's simple but fun), and then we all ended up playing City of Heroes, which is officially legal again (not that we were playing for years before the official license or anything >_>). We're currently doing an experiment to see if it's even possible to get to level 50 without ever leaving my favorite region of the game (Praetoria).
(I like Praetoria in part because of the various urban aesthetics underpinned by horror, in part because Praetorian characters get actual choices and it's easier to imagine they have real personalities and stories, and in part because it's a sort of mirrorverse AU of the main game where superheroes aren't really a concept. I don't especially care for superheroes despite most of the game being all about them, and mostly like the game for mechanics and costuming options, so a story-centric customizable character arc in a dystopia zone where people with superpowers are understood in wildly different terms than the rest of the game is ideal. Nobody else seems to much care for it; sometimes I'm the only person who seems to be in Nova Praetoria at all and my mother doesn't much like it, but she volunteered to join the experiment, lol.)
We were also waxing nostalgic about the good old days when we used to play Might and Magic VII together, and I was like... you know it's on GOG, yeah? You could just play it. I don't think it's expensive. So we looked and, good news, she actually already had it on GOG, but bad news, it wasn't working on her new laptop.
She went to bed and after about half an hour of finagling, I figured out what was wrong and got it working again. Arcomage is in our future once more :D

Creating a Captivating Blog Website: A Step-by-Step Guide
In the digital age, a blog website serves as a powerful platform for sharing your thoughts, expertise, and creativity with the world. Whether you're a seasoned writer, an aspiring influencer, or someone with a passion for a specific niche, creating your own blog website can be an exciting endeavor. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of crafting a captivating blog website that not only engages your audience but also reflects your unique style.
Step 1: Define Your Niche and Audience
Before you start building your blog website, it's crucial to identify your niche and target audience. What topics or subjects will your blog cover? Defining your niche helps you create focused, relevant content that resonates with your readers. Understanding your audience's demographics, preferences, and needs will enable you to tailor your content to their interests.
Step 2: Choose a Domain Name and Hosting
Your domain name is your blog's online identity, so choose a name that represents your niche and is easy to remember. Look for a domain name that's unique, concise, and aligned with your brand. Once you've decided on a domain name, you'll need to choose a web hosting service. Popular hosting providers include Bluehost, Site Ground, and HostGator. Select a plan that suits your needs and offers reliable performance.
Step 3: Select a Content Management System (CMS)
A content management system (CMS) is a platform that allows you to create, manage, and publish content on your blog. WordPress is one of the most popular CMS options due to its user-friendly interface and extensive customization possibilities. Install WordPress or Blogger on your chosen hosting platform and you're ready to start building your blog.
Step 4: Choose a Theme
The visual design of your blog plays a significant role in attracting and retaining visitors. Choose a theme that aligns with your content and provides a pleasing user experience. WordPress offers a wide range of free and premium themes that can be customized to match your brand colors, fonts, and overall aesthetic.
Step 5: Customize Your Website
Personalize your blog website by customizing the chosen theme. Add a logo, customize the header and footer, and arrange widgets that display recent posts, categories, and social media links. Ensure that your website's layout is clean, intuitive, and mobile-responsive, as an increasing number of users access websites from their smartphones and tablets.
 Step 6: Install Essential Plugins
Plugins are extensions that enhance the functionality of your blog. Some essential plugins include:
**Yoast SEO:** Helps optimize your content for search engines.
**Akismet:** Protects your blog from spam comments.
-**Social Media Sharing:** Allows readers to easily share your content on social platforms.
**Contact Form:** Provides a way for readers to get in touch with you.
**Google Analytics:** Tracks your website's performance and visitor statistics.
 Step 7: Create Compelling Content
Content is the heart of your blog. Craft well-researched, engaging, and valuable posts that cater to your audience's interests. Use a mix of text, images, and possibly videos to convey your message effectively. Maintain a consistent posting schedule to keep your readers engaged and coming back for more.
 Step 8: Implement SEO Strategies
Search engine optimization (SEO) is essential for driving organic traffic to your blog. Incorporate relevant keywords naturally into your content, optimize your images with descriptive alt text, and create internal and external links. This helps search engines understand your content and rank it higher in search results.
Step 9: Engage with Your Audience
Interact with your readers by responding to comments, encouraging discussions, and addressing their questions or feedback. Consider creating a mailing list to notify subscribers about new posts, updates, or exclusive content.
Step 10: Promote Your Blog
Promotion is key to expanding your blog's reach. Share your content on social media platforms, collaborate with other bloggers or influencers in your niche, and participate in online communities relevant to your topic. The more you promote your blog, the wider your audience will grow.
Step 11: Monitor and Analyze
Regularly review your website's performance using tools like Google Analytics. Monitor metrics such as page views, bounce rates, and engagement to understand what's working and what needs improvement. Use this data to refine your content strategy and make informed decisions.
Step 12: Stay Consistent and Evolve
Consistency is key to building a successful blog. Keep publishing high-quality content, adapting to industry trends, and evolving your strategies based on audience feedback and changing algorithms. As your blog grows, you might consider monetization options such as affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, or selling digital products.
Creating a captivating blog website takes time, dedication, and continuous learning. By following these steps and staying true to your passion, you can create a blog that not only resonates with your target audience but also becomes a valuable resource in your chosen niche.

✨Oui bonjour✨
Hi, hello. Please call me Lavender.
I'm a 21 year-old doodler with a fair amount of imagination but too much self-doubt to actually do or draw anything about it. I usually like to draw and play The Sims 4 on my potato laptop. When I feel like drawing myself/my persona, I give myself bunny ears, butterfly wings, and a giant frohawk.
As I'm writing these small introduction lines (12/28/2023), I believe that I'm doing awfully bad in terms of motivation and self-worth/esteem. I feel pessimistic towards my future and my art. I feel like burning every drawing I barely start and I only need myself to mock any idea I might have about my OCs or the universe I've been trying to build for years.
So, uh, what the heck am I even trying to accomplish here?
I think I've been building unnecessary pressure on my shoulders. So the goal here is to yeet that pressure out the window, because it's killing my joy to create, bit by bit. (I mean, I can't even relax when I play TS4 because I feel compelled to play the most perfect household with impeccable storytelling and arcs... and for what? talk about a useless perfectionnist.)
I'd like to be as transparent and as chill as possible with my art (and possibly myself), so I'll draw anything that comes to mind, without the pressure to make it look polished and ready on the first try. That's impossible and I need to take that false belief out of my head.
Expect WIPs, casual doodles, actually finished illustrations, and uuuuh maybe some random thoughts here and there, if I feel like it. I also have a giant list of things I'd like to draw or animate that's been sitting on my notes app for years now. I think I'll post it here so I can keep track of my progress on this blog, and so can you!
I think that's everything. Guess I'll see you soon!
Take care, and keep drawing.
Tumblr media
(an example of a doodle I like, but I'm too scared to fail to replicate the same vibe in a polished drawing. But I'll make it someday, right?)

so i spent money. and guess what
first time in my life im not satisfied with the collection of items i got
earrings because i think they will match her skin shade very nicely. its a copper and orange gem set because her dressing sense is more mature.
gold color copper tea spoon specifically for chai. i was trying to haggle for the tea set but i failed so just this. at the very least the tea spoon can be used for the sugar. its actually very selfish and delusional but it will ease me to think that she can use a tool connected to me to bring sweetness into her life
and then a sonic toy because shes the first sonic fan ive ever met in my life besides myself. when i was a child i used to wish sonic merch existed. now it does. id assume she wouldve felt the same. ive been to her house before a long time ago and i saw the decorations.
there should be more. this isnt enough to speak for me
avo spent money and wants to spend more. qayamat. doomsday is here

i keep on falling into the trap of hating more than loving. and like. I'm just gonna use the block button more from now on. i'm gonna make radical optimism real if I have to. i'm gonna focus on the way out and that's it. seriously I'm gonna try not to do any more vague posts or anything, my infighting isn't exactly that much better anyway - aka. I'm moving on from that crowd and not looking back. I'll fix myself, then ignore them to focus on what's more important anyway.
