36 Years of Street Fighter | Wednesday, 08.30.2023
Let's call it a night with some new Street Fighter 6 artwork (mirroring the promotional artwork from Hyper Street Fighter II) to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Street Fighter series. HADOKEN! 馃敟
So I decided to take a brief break from Advance Wars Reboot Camp to play a bit of the Capcom Fighting Collection, and I decided to play Hyper Street Fighter 2, because the only other version of Street Fighter 2 I played was the fucking TurboGraphix-16 port via Wii Virtual Console.
So aside from being very, very, very terrible at the game, I had noticed that while I was playing as Cammy she frequently made a certain comment during the victory/loss screen:
"Your missing teeth will remind you of my victory!"
Which, y'know, would be a fine and dandy bit of trash talking if it wasn't blatantly false.
Even though the defeated character will always look bruised and bloody and beat up (well, Cammy herself doesn't bleed, but still), they always have every single one of their pearly whites if they show their teeth.
The only character where that comment is kinda applicable is towards Balrog/M. Bison/Boxer, but even then I'm pretty sure Cammy is not the person responsible for his missing tooth, which, as far as I could tell, he had before the actual events of Street Fighter 2.
