''did you miss me?'' you asked him, walking up to his sad desk, and placing another pile of papers. you walk to the side of his table, taking all of the empty paper cups and stacking them on each other. ''do you ever come out of your office?'' ''when did you learn how to behave like that?'' he rebutted, staring at the loose button on your dress shirt, revealing a small sight of your cleavage.

''what do you mean?'' you ask, leaning on the desk, giving him a better view. he sighed and looked away, sorting the freshly printed stack of contracts you placed on his table. ''you know what i mean,'' he said, taking the cap off of his pen to start signing away again.

he was gone for 5 days, away on a trip to somewhere he didn't mention to anyone for a meeting with an important client. even though he treats everyone in his building like total crap.

it would be an understatement if you said you missed him. after all, you were his favorite. ''i just wanted to check up on you as your loyal operative,'' you said, going behind his chair and turning it around to face you. ''i'm busy.'' he warned, as your finger hooked his tie, pulling him towards you, straddling him.

''aw, i thought we could have some fun.'' you said, playing with his navy tie and silver buttons. his hands moved on instinct, placing both hands on your waist. he lifted you up and placed you on his desk, your miniskirt lifting up to give a view of your inner thigh.

''how does it feel?'' he mutters, unbuttoning the buttons left on your dress shirt. three of your colleagues walked past his office, thankfully his blinds were closed. you heard them laughing, probably talking about some random stuff that occurred to them in their day. ''how's that paper going?'' he asked, watching you from behind eagerly. you jump at his sudden approach, but you continue working. ''it's going great.'' you reply, your hand evidently shaking on your mouse. zhongli sighs, setting his cup of tea on your desk and leans in from behind.

your boss only had eyes on you. whenever you came to deliver papers to him in his office, purposely making you come back and forth to his space every so often.

some of your coworkers joke that you were hired as his maid, not his employee. but, that didn't sound half bad. you didn't mind being at his beck and call whenever he wanted, as long as he promised to hide it from everyone else.

thankfully, zhongli was good at it. small pecks here and there, light squeezes on your ass, his eyes were anchored to you and you only. you didn't know what you two were. you heard of these before, friends with benefits? no, you two have never even fucked yet.

you could feel him breathing as his hand landed on top of yours on the mouse. ''it's ctrl+d, darling.'' he spoke, doing the command flawlessly on your keyboard. his neck was close enough to your face, his strong versace eros making you clench your thighs. ''ah.. i forgot...'' you mutter, instantly distracted by scent.

ragnvindr was intimidating. he never spoke to anyone, and never needed anyone's help, he was a lone wolf when he worked. he's always the first one to arrive, the last to leave.

he was never interested in any celebration his employees would have, even if it would be his birthday. he prioritizes his work, but you knew a side of him no one else does. behind closed doors, his headstrong and fierce attitude was contrasted with his caring and subtle side.

he called your number and asked you to bring his delivered food from the lobby to his office. it wasn't out of the ordinary that your boss only eats once a day, many of his employees would bring him food but offer it to someone else instead.

''understood,'' you reply, leaving your chair and taking the elevator. his building was big and modern, a big sign with his brand tattooed on the front of it. you head down to the lobby and see the delivery guy.

''for y/n?'' your eyebrows knit together in confusion, but you take the food anyway. you could smell the scent of it from miles away. you walk up to the elevator and press floor 5, pondering why your boss would name it to you.

nonetheless, you make your way to his office, but a few of your coworkers are interested. ''hey n/n! is that for us?'' your friend jokes, as he waves to you. ''nope, you've already eaten all of the snacks sir ragnvindr provided.'' your friend scoffs at your joke, then giving you a smile as you smile back.

you finally reach his doorstep, knocking subtly. ''it's open.'' the man says from his desk, giving you permission lazily. you open the door. ''good afternoon, i have brought your food.'' you voice, walking up to his table to set the paper bag down.

''have you eaten yet?'' he asked, but you smiled. ''i'm full at the moment, but i appreciate your concern-'' ''sit,'' he demanded, you pulled the chair out of the table and sat across him. you were confused, first, he named the food after you, which isn't normal. usually, the name would be the company's name or his, but this time it was yours.

you were eager to know, but you kept silent in the meantime. he took out the sticky honey roast from the paper bag and took the plastic knife, slicing it in halves. your mouth waters at the sight, of your favorite food ever.

''eat with me.'' he asked, he grabbed the two places he must've requested from the restaurant and placed one in front of you. ''sir, i have work to do. i cannot take breaks in your office while my coworkers are out there working-'' diluc sighed, putting two slices of the roast on your plate.

''i heard this was your favorite,'' he said, completely disregarding what you said, as you smiled in defeat. diluc didn't waste time to take a bite out of it before you, a sparkle in his eye appearing from the taste. you cut out a piece and ate it, not noticing the honey spread on the corner of your lips.

diluc had noticed, ''come here.'' he asked. you tilt your head in confusion, ''why?'' ''just come here.'' you leaned on the table and faced him, your faces inching close to each other. his hand trailed on your cheek, rubbing his thumb on it, as it wandered down to your lip.

he scooped up the honey off the corner and licked it off clean. ''tastes sweet,'' he remarked, while his hand placed itself behind your neck, pulling your face in for a kiss. it was nice, slow, and passionate. you tasted the honey in his mouth, and you were sure he tasted it in yours too.

your hands landed on his shoulders, latching onto him as the kiss deepened further. you can see from the window the view of the paparazzi outside of the building and many people scattered around to take pictures beside it.

he then pulled away, licking his lips once more to savor your taste. ''but, you are sweeter. come here and let me feast on you.''

Okay - I want to talk about this first. I read this last night and it made me throw up in my mouth a little. And my ultimate first reaction was that I was glad he was fired.

Honestly, I've been worried that we're headed on an AoA direction for a while now, and even though I actually am fine with the AoA comics, I just do not want it here. The thing, though, is that AoA was always meant to be undone - so if he had had his way and this was Season 3 out of 5, the idea of that doesn't bother me so much.

Granted (logically) - the fact that he's outright saying this when he's been so cryptic about everything else means that it wasn't ever on the table. Still - the guy is just a hardcore Magneto fan. I wouldn't be surprised if the (one) reason the triangle thing even happened is that he does/did like the idea of Rogneto.

Ultimately, to each their own - ship what you like. But doesn't mean I would enjoy that scenario.

Then there's this.

There's another post where he talks about using a Star Trek Next Gen episode for homework. And it's one where they're stuck in a time loop.

And it had me thinking that Rogue will get a chance to go back in time and at least tell Remy how she feels. She'll get some closure. Which is -- good for her, and I want her to not be in pain anymore.

But kinda sucks, because closure is closure, you know? And maybe dead is dead?

It's so funny because emotionally - my senses tell me that Gambit's story really is done. And that just makes me so sad to think about. They really did the thing and the door is closed and what next, we all move on and be happy? *sigh*

But then there's the logical part of me that kicks in. The one who has been to dark places with fandoms (and even this one) before. The one who knows that even Jean and Morph have been dead before and have come back. The one who knows that every time a comic book writer ends their tenure on a book there's always something the next writer will inevitably retcon.

There's no way - with all the experiences I've had with these mediums that Gambit stays dead. It's still a comic book world. And dead is dead just doesn't happen.

ETA: I forgot I was going to mention the Grant Morrison influence.

If you pick up any trade of Morrison's run, he shares his outline of his original plans for New X-Men, and one of them was that he'd kill off Gambit to further Rogue's story. Now - Marvel was like, nope, Claremont wants to use them, so Morrison was denied. (And thank god, Claremont's XTreme run had some of the best Rogue/Gambit stuff in years.)

But I can't help but think that DeMayo may have been playing a little from that playbook. New X-Men has definitely been an influence on the show - from E is for Extinction to the psychic affair between Scott/Jean/Maddie. It wouldn't put it past me that the original Morrison outline that mentions killing Gambit off wasn't a least a little bit of an influence.

judith: she was a wonder girls stan growing up and acts like it was just a casual phase but she still religiously awaits every comeback from sunmi

marta: mamamoo. she's not actually involved with the fandom in any way she just knows good vocals when she hears em

coronabeth: she has pretty broad tastes for the most part and tends to be a bit inconsistent with her ults-- these days it's ive and she is THE wonyoung defender, but she had a hell of a red velvet phase before that, and there was also a good while when she was big into momoland.

ianthe: aoa. miniskirt was the only song of theirs that she knew before the scandal she hopped onto that ship right as it was sinking. i do also think corona showed her the monster mv when it came out and she was obligated by sisterly law to make fun of it but then promptly binged every single thing red velvet has ever created.

babs: a boygroup stan but he makes an exception for ioi (somi specifically).

I know a lot of fans who were adopted into loving family that felt betrayed by the retcon because it threw Nightcrawler's foster family under the bus and completely undid the justified anger Nightcrawler had towards his biological parents. It's so rare to find adopted characters that are allowed to not want to deal with their biological parents after they willingly decided to be awful to them especially when the story doesn't portray the abandoned children as ungrateful or less than understanding and plain resentful. Because regardless of the mindwipe, Mystique used Nightcrawler's lineage against him many times. Regardless of the mindwipe, Mystique still exhibited moments of care towards Nightcrawler like when she told AoA!Kurt that in their reality, their poor relationship was because the World conspired against them. Regardless of any supposed windwipe and prophecy, you had entire alternative realities that stem from 616 where she did raise him from birth all alone. Regardless of the mindwipe, you had Claremont's second run on the X-Men where Mystique treated him better after she joined the X-Men. The windwipe was not a valid excuse for her mistreatment of him since she could have acted better towards him and HAS acted better towards him on more than one instance and world. Nightcrawler now talks less like his genuine self and more like a mouthpiece as he completely forgives what has been done to him by his new biological parents, which is so bad it somehow makes what Mystique and Azazel did to him pre-retcon better in comparison ironically enough.

It must be hard, I feel like adopted people are quilted into being open minded or forgiving towards their birth families when it's like no this has to be a case by case thing and sometimes there's no good reason for why they were out up for adoption.

Personally I think Mystique should be written as someone who didn't necessarily want to give him up due to her lifestyle. Azazel was unable to raise him as far as I'm aware due to be trapped on another planet. So whilst neither would necessarily want to give him up they just couldn't raise him but they're also evil so it's kind of a mix of feelings which would ultimately lead to Kurt disliking both of them but still having some love and being willing to redeem them but only under his strict conditions.

Marvel can make up for this mess by having a scene with Kurt crying saying "How come she don't want me man?" With Margali after Mystique leaves his life again and having Margali and Kurt hug. (Putting this idea out here so someone steals it haha)

However, the first true girl groups wouldn’t be formed until the late 1990s, when the girl groups S.E.S (”I’m Your Girl”, “Dreams Come True”), Baby V.O.X (”Coincidence”, “Get Up”), and Fin.K.L. (”To My Boyfriend”, “Forever Love”) would start competing against an almost all-male industry (save for soloists such as BoA and some sister duos). These groups, along with many other smaller girl groups, would make up what is now known as the first generation of Kpop, and would pave the way for the second generation to burst onto the scene and ride the Hallyu wave while making girl groups a staple of the Kpop world. You know the groups of the second generation even if you aren’t a fan: Girls Generation became the nation’s girl group with their groundbreaking sweet debut, “Into the New World” while 2NE1 challenged the music scene and girl group stereotypes with “Fire” and the Wonder Girls brought the sassy, classic American girl group style to South Korea with “Irony.” Did you know that Girls Generation was the first group to include photocards in their albums, or that Wonder Girls was the first girl group to appear on American TV? These iconic groups truly made Kpop what it is today as they smashed through barriers, changed the industry, and became the idols that future idols would look up to and aspire to become.

2. Generations - I’ve already talked about the first generation, but what does it all mean? Well, honestly the exact generations are hard to keep track of. Usually, a generation ends and another begins at a turning point in the industry. For example, the second generation began with the Hallyu wave and Kpop becoming more commercialized. More and more idols also became actors and started hosting/guesting on shows. This was the period that I believe saw the most change, as more and more girl groups began to debut and some English translations started to be available. Other iconic second generation groups include KARA, T-ara, SISTAR, f(x), After School, Miss A, 4Minute, Girls Day, and many, many more. As we began to get into the 2010s, subtitles started to become more and more common as more and more fans started finding Kpop through YouTube and other similar platforms, starting the third generation of Kpop girl groups. And man, this generation burst onto the scene. Girl groups from this generation include giants such as Twice, BlackPink, Red Velvet, AOA, GFRIEND, EXID, Dreamcatcher, CLC, Oh My Girl, Mamamoo, WJSN, and so, so many more. And finally, we have now arrived at the fourth generation, a generation where even small groups under small companies can gain a world-wide fanbase, world tours are becoming more common, and dances have become intricate and all-important. Groups in the current generation include ITZY, IVE, Billie, AESPA, StayC, Everglow, Weeekly, Kep1er, and the list once again goes on and on. Of course, there are some groups who fall in-between generations, like LOONA. Some of the members debuted during what many consider to be 3rd gen, while other members and the group as a whole debuted after the start of the 4th generation. I point this out to say that generations aren't super strict and mostly exist to show the progression of Kpop as a whole. The list of girl groups only grows by the day and it can get pretty overwhelming (even for a self-proclaimed girl group expert such as myself). But don’t worry, I have that covered too! If you want to get a better understanding of the different generations, I have playlists linked below that you can use.

3. “Where do I start?” - Every time I want to get someone into girl groups (or Kpop in general) they’re always daunted by the sheer amount of music and groups to chose from. But I say this is a good thing rather than a bad thing. The amount of choices means that everyone should be able to find something they enjoy. But where should you start? Well, I always recommend starting at the beginning with a group like Girls Generation. You can never go wrong with a little Gee or Oh! I would also recommend 4Minute’s “Watcha Doin’ Today”, 2NE1′s “Gotta Be You”, Twice’s “Fancy”, Red Velvet’s “Peek-A-Boo”, fromis_9′s “DKDK”, StayC’s “Run 2 You”, and GFRIEND’s “MAGO” to girl group newbies. There’s also no shame in watching compilation videos: that’s how I found new groups as a young fan myself. I would recommend videos like “kpop girl group songs that were a cultural reset” or “Kpop parts that hit the right spots (girl group edition)” or “women in kpop being iconic” to find new songs or groups and go from there. These videos are also nice because you can fall into a YouTube rabbit hole and find a lot of new songs and groups that way! I would also recommend watching these groups on reality shows like Knowing Brother, Weekly Idol, and other similar shows where they showcase their skills and talk more about their groups and their talents. This is a great way to learn more about groups once you decide you’re interested in them.

4. Genres, genres, genres - Occasionally, I will see people claim that they don't like girl groups because they all "act cute" or because they all sound the same, but this couldn't be further from the truth. In reality, there are so many groups with so many different sounds and concepts that it's impossible not to find something you'll like. Do you like rock or horror? Then you should check out PIXY, Dreamcatcher, Pink Fantasy, and Rolling Quartz! Do you listen to a lot of boy groups? Then you’ll probably enjoy tracks by 3YE, Everglow, and LOONA. Are you looking for something unique? Check out Orange Caramel, Billie, WJSN Chocome, HYO, Crayon Pop, and Cocosori. No matter what mood you’re in, there’s a girl group song that will fit it. Plus, a little bubblegum pop will do wonders for a bad mood. Try to listen to WiFi by Saturday and not smile a bit! Most groups will have a variety of songs as well, so you won’t get bored. For example, just listening to Red Velvet and Twice’s discography is an adventure because they’ve done so much. If you really aren’t sure where you want to start or what you might like, you could always message this blog: I might be busy, but I’m never too busy to help people get into girl groups!

5. The Future - While there has been an unfortunate period of girl groups from smaller companies struggling or disbanding due to the pandemic, the future still looks VERY bright for girl groups. While older girl groups used to debut and disband quickly without anyone noticing because it wasn’t as easy to promote themselves online, now even small girl groups from tiny companies can build a following online and promote themselves to a wider audience. While I personally don’t love some of the music trends we’re seeing right now, I am super excited to see where this new generation takes Kpop. I believe we’ll see more and more groups with fun, bright, self-confident concepts and I love that. With the sheer amount of content now available on YouTube, TikTok, Viki, and even Netflix, it’s the perfect time to dive head-first into the world of girl groups and girl group music. I think you’ll find that you’ll really love it here, and I hope you found my little lesson helpful!

Continuation of the idol au. 🐝 anon… get ready babe

⚪️Gen 1⚪️ 90s- early 2000s

⚪️ICEE was an OG idol group made up of the Tsaritsa and 6 others who are now pretty much nameless. She outshined her fellow group mates to the point where she left her group and company to be a soloist in another company (the same that owns HARBING3R). She is more business oriented now and doesn’t really sing much anymore but does plenty of public appearances. She’s fantastic at marketing bro damn!! An amazing asset to have on your side. She worked her way up enough that she had/has a LOT of control over marketing for HARBING3R and FAiRLADiES. She is stil engaged in marketing (and even recruiting!) for new groups under her company’s name

⚪️M4GIC was a group of four. The group gained pretty much no traction but that’s where Alice debuted! She later did a lot of solo work and had 3 hit singles in her 5 years of being an active idol. She’s more family oriented now and spends most of her time with her daughter Klee. She sponsors her step son, Albedo, who is currently an idol. She is often pictured taking Klee to his group’s concerts! She also posts on her twitter about him whoever she sees him on TV or on posters

🔴Gen 2🔴 2000s

🔴HellBringerz was one of the first big groups in Teyvat. Made up of Pantalone(vis, dance), Capitano(lead, rap) and Dottore(vocal/dance). At the time, they were fresh out of college and scouted by a brand new company that literally needed anyone. The trio wrote and produced a big hit seemingly out of nowhere. Once their popularity surged, their manager, Pulcinella, quickly changed their name to a more appropriate ‘Harbingerz’ (which was again later changed to ‘HARBING3R’ after the trio claimed to fucking hate the Z at the end). Think of HARBING3R as a SHINee/Super Junior sound-alike, their signature sound is that classic early 2000s bass and extreme auto tune. HARBING3R has gone on many hiatuses but have pumped out 17 albums in their 16 years of activity. Pulcinella wanted the group to try to appeal to a wider audience so, he threw 2 new trainees in there without announcing it to the public, thats where Kuni and Ajax got their start. They only remained in the group for 6 months before leaving the company to join other, newer groups. Outside of HARBING3R comebacks, Dottore owns a private practice, Capitano is casted in action movies and Pantalone does his own solo music that has a… more mature theme…(he also does audio porn under an alias shhh) They’re all older now but are dug up when The company needs money or there’s music award shows to attend. Even though we got bitches in their late 30s, you know their company is about to make them sing for a check babe lmao. They’ll squeeze dottores arthritic knees into leather pants and shove him out onto the stage they don’t care

🔴FAiRLADiES is a group put together by the Tsaritsa herself. Since she is so influential, she is pretty much a trainer. Arlecchino, Signora, Sandrone and Columbina were scouted and trained under Tsaritsa. They debuted a year after HARBING3R as their female counterpart. They share a company so, with Tsaritsa’s encouragement, they often but the two groups together for collaborative albums. While thinking about FAiRLADiES, I listened to AOA’s ‘Miniskirt’, which inspired the ‘mature woman’ visuals in the group. They almost exclusively wear black or silver along with high heels. They carry a serious air about them but fans get to see their goofier side when their company films their dance practices. Those dance practices are what really attracted fans. While their music is fantastic, getting to see these usually serious girls giggle and dance around made fans like them even more. The group has not officially disbanded but much like HARBING3R, they don’t do much together anymore. Signora and Columbina have moved onto a lot of solo jobs, Arlecchino has made her debut in a few romance movies and Sandrone has worked diligently on a fashion line, all pieces created by her alone. But of course, when they’re called back to perform together they do so happily, they’ve publicly stated over and over that they’re a very tight knit group

🔴☆YATO was a soloist with a sexy, mature theme. Bold leather outfits, smoky eye makeup, crazy hairdos (Taemin’s Lucifer hairstyle oh my god), platform shoes… he embodied the whole gen 2 aesthetic. Kamisato Ayato is a nepotism baby by definition, his parents were/are crazy rich with connections throughout the business and entertainment industry. When Ayato showed interest in being an idol, he was picked up by a company within a week with a contract, a big budget and lots of creative freedom. He didn’t write his own songs, in fact he later admitted to being unable to read music at all but he could sing, he could dance, he had the energy and he had his good looks lmao. His parents, the ones who encouraged him to pursue being and idol quickly came to regret it as Ayato sang about seducing women and thrusted his hips on stage in front of thousands of people. They believed he was tarnishing their family name by acting this way. They gave him an ultimatum: he either got to continue being an idol with no shot at taking over the family business OR he could retire and have a guaranteed 25% of the company when he turned 22. He performed for the last time on his 3rd anniversary of debuting, apologizing to his fans and crying on stage in front of them. After his parents unfortunate passing, he took over the company when he turned 28 and now manages his sister, ☆YAKA(we’ll discuss her shortly). A second gen idol and a fourth gen idol in the same house? Oh god….

🔴Dr. BAi, Baizhu, debuted shortly after Ayato. He catered to a similar audience since his long hair, pretty face and strong vocals drew people in. He even collaborated with Ayato more than once. Baizhu was well known for his ‘Love Doctor’ album which was raunchy, dark and seductive. (Think ‘Sorry, sorry’ and ‘Bonamana’ from Super Junior cause those songs have a fuckin beat dude) He got some backlash for it, saying he was overly sexualizing doctors but he didn’t care cause he was going to be a doctor before he debuted, he was in medical school!! Dr. BAi had a sizable, dedicated fanbase. They were very invested in his personal life which got to be a bit overwhelming for him. He has an issue with his lungs which gets in the way of dancing for long periods of time. After facing criticism for being a ‘lazy dancer’ and having people trying to visit him at the hospital during his treatments, he sadly left the idol spotlight. He took some time off but later returned to appear on talent shows as a judge. People praise him for his kind and constructive criticism instead of bashing contestants on the show. Baizhu adopted Qiqi and provides a comfortable, loving life for her and his beloved pet snake Changsheng (Changsheng has her own instagram she’s kinda a celebrity herself)

🔴elec2ro is a still active duo comprised of Ei and Yae. They’ve steadily released music since they’ve debuted and while their release schedule makes it so the wait is LONG between albums/singles, their music is worth the wait. Think of how IU’s ‘Lilac’ makes you feel like that song is fresh and feminine, it’s just nice to listen to. That’s what elec2ro is. Their music is just nice to listen to and lacks the insane usage of auto tune like the other groups from this era. Ei and Yae were college roommates and they wrote music together just for fun. They submitted auditions to a few companies just for the hell of it, they were bored and had nothing else to do. Little did they know, they’d have 3 companies trying to grab them up at once! Crazy how things like that work. They refuse to do any jobs without each other, no solo work and no ‘one of you sing with this group’. They’re a package deal!! Always have been and always will be. They’re very active with their fans, they’re always retweeting fan art and setting up meet and greets with their own money cause they just love to travel and meet fans. Yae is the more social one between the two and Ei is a bit more reserved. Fans always try to get Ei to laugh and when they succeed, the whole place will erupt with cheers as they see her smile and laugh!!! so sweet. They’re not making new albums currently but they still release a solo song now an then, make plenty of appearances and interact frequently with fans online and in person

What do you think of the new Shadowkat design?

Honestly, I don't really love it because they need to stop with the constant ninja and samurai aesthetics for Kate and Logan. Its just....not good. Do better.

Beyond that, I do like the color palette and I feel like a lot of the design elements individually kinda nod back to the AOA Shadowcat design, which fits how they seem to be hinting Kate's going down a darker path or whatever, being more lethal, etc.....all of which is very in keeping with that version of her, so an homage to that makes sense.

But the AOA Shadowcat design at least was its own thing and didn't come across as superhero ninja cosplay so I would have much rather seen them just....recreate that design or something very similar. I know everybody at Marvel is committed to acting like everything Claremont touched/wrote is as good as gold, but one of his biggest flaws from day one was being appropriative as hell, and just because his original story with Kitty and Ogun was 'iconic' doesn't mean it was GOOD or that its a well writers need to keep drawing from to this day.

She has other stories. Let them count as much.

Plus, for as much as Duggan's writing really pissed off a lot of Jewish fans and readers with its obliviousness and insensitivity, the one thing I did hear universally praised was the art emphasizing her curly hair, Star of David, etc, etc.....all elements which have just vanished now like they decided nah, why bother honoring her Jewish heritage in her design when we can just pretend all that doesn't exist and make her dress up as a ninja instead?

Its just....very poor choices all around, IMO.

For those of us who are fans of Netflix's Cursed, sadly the show has not been renewed for another season, although the book may be getting a follow up.

But...for those of us who ship Nimue/Lancelot, perhaps it's a good thing. We have seen what they have done with Rey/Kylo. One character killed off just as he was receiving his redemption, another character assassinated into an unfeeling icon. At least with Nimulot, the story is left open and we can create our own resolution to their tale.

With Nimulot, hope lives...whereas with Reylo it has been forever crushed.

For those eager for more Nimulot, may I recommed A Song of Ash and Sky by @allgirlsareprincesses on AoA. This is a superb continuation of their story, and not even 'canon' I think, could have done it better.

But, how sad that we did eventually get 'reylo'....and the manner in which we 'got it' broke our hearts.

recapping general, initial feelings on comics i've read recently (JiM2011 + YA2013):

journey into mystery does do some very interesting stuff, but it also does a lot of stuff that i personally find quite tiresome. i'm just not entertained by Elaborate Schemes where we have to follow loki striking bargains with five different people and it will definitely be clever in the end we promise. sometimes the payoff IS good, but while it's happening, it feels like narrative white noise :(

i also tend to find crossovers pretty tiresome. i am weak; i do not have the comic fan's constitution.

i don't really care about leah :( i'm sorry, i did try, but i just find her kind of flat and uninteresting. i might feel differently on a reread, especially if i knew more about her relationship to hela/how she came to be? i'm genuinely not sure if she has a backstory, or if she was invented for JiM specifically. (like, clearly there's something being referenced with her being hela's hand, but that doesn't mean she was a *character* in any previous story. it could literally just be that she was created.)

i did like thori. but thori is funny...? idk, i feel like thori was a supporting character pitched correctly. you aren't asked to be more invested than his writing justifies. he's funny and he represents a single clear idea, and that's enough.

sometimes i like kid loki. i feel like i could/should like him more... he's fine, i see the potential, but something just hasn't clicked for me (yet?). not sure what.

i REALLY like loki's characterisation in young avengers. truly delightful jester energy. he has the wit of a three thousand year old and the audacity of a twelve year old and he is here to cause problems on purpose!!!

the line "i'm not the murderer, i'm the murder weapon" really compels me, and i wish we got more explicit exploration of that. (<- likely thing for an mcu loki fan to say.) alas. more subtextual significance may be revealed on further investigation.

in general, the identity soup is... interesting. JiM concerns two to three lokis (kid loki likes to conflate ikol and the dead loki, but they're not really the same), but YA raises the possibility of ikol-in-kid-loki's-body as a new entity, and, iirc, AoA also treats ikol as separate. hall of mirrors. infinite lokis fighting each other forever. (except not because they resolve it. but still. hmmm)

i have said before that jim/ya/aoa frustrates me, because, for my tastes, it's too focused on self-destruction and not enough on the initial external violence which ends up being internalised. but i've deleted my most recent post on this subject, because i want to re-assess how true this is. i think there is some truth in it, but i'm still just beginning to process what i've read and it's probably a lot less true than i initially thought.

now i guess i should reread agent of asgard, with full(ish) context at last.

One month ago, I had the best night of my life.

It wasn't as perfect as it seems, for there were two downsides: One, B.A.P OT6 didn't happen. Two, I lost my first lightstick (though unofficial). It was the LS I used during my first concert last September, so I felt bad when I wasn't able to get it back. But regardless of these two things, it was a night worth remembering. A night worth sharing. And a night worth more than P1,590 😜😂

💚 B.A.P 💚 It's been a month since the night I saw Himchan's red hair 😜😂 And Jongup's No Mercy dancebreak! (Di ko siya napanood nung Show Champion bcs I lost my focus, fanchant lang ako ng fanchant non e 😂🔫). I promised myself that I will stay calm, but the moment the letters "B.A.P" flashed on the screen, I lost it. ㅋㅋㅋ Who knows how to calm down, anyway? 😂 It was my second time seeing B.A.P, but my blood rushed through my veins like it was the first. 😌 I think I was the only stan of B.A.P in rows B, C, and D. I heard things like, "B1A4 ba yan?" and "Sila talaga yung group na may kwenta yung mga music video" when the mv of Skydive was playing 😂😭💞 I tried so hard not to sing Skydive. THEIR AEGYOS. 😭😭😭 Huhuhu they're too cute ㅜㅜ Though I don't know them as much as I know other girl groups, I still enjoyed their performances (definitely more than I did during Show Champion). 💕

💙 CNBLUE 💙 One month ago, Kang Minhyuk got his throne back. I barely got a glimpse of him, but seeing him playing drums was one of the highlights 😂 It was when I realized that buying seats on the right or left sides of the venue aren't much of a disadvantage when you're a fan of CNBLUE, let alone a Minhyuk stan. 💚 SHINEE 💚 As expected from these legends!!! The whole arena went crazy when they were introduced. They opened their stage with View, and I was sure as hell I know that song but I couldn't think of the title, I was like, "HALA OMG IPE-PERFORM NILA 'TO? 😭 TEKA ANO NGANG TITLE NITO 😭😭 ALAM KO TALAGA 'TO E NASA CP KO 'TO 😭😭😭" and then the lyrics said "view" so that's when I remembered the title ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Again, my bias list was wrecked 😂 Bes, I saw Taeman!!! Este, TAEMIN pala. Hahahahahaha! Grabe, SHINee left me in awe, but Taemin's dancing blew me away. 😂😭

👑 PSY 👑 People know him too well. It doesn't matter if you're into Kpop or not, the moment you hear the name "Psy", you immediately think of his hit songs Gangnam Style, Gentleman, and etc. Because of this, some Kpop fans became less appreciative of him. There are kpop fans who think, "he's too mainstream", "pag kpop psy agad sus", "siya lang naman kilala ng mga jeje fans", blahblah. One month ago, Psy changed my impression of him. I thought I wouldn't dance to Gangnam Style because I'm already sick of it, but... lol. 😂 HIS PERFORMANCES WERE 💯💯🔥🔥 Super enjoooooy! 😭 I didn't want it to end huhu. Also, he's such a nice person. 💖 I just feel like I need to emphasize HOW HUMBLE HE IS. He introduced Gangnam Style with the words, "the reason why I'm here and why all of you know me" (something like that 😭💓). He was tired and sweaty but he smiled at everyone ㅜㅜ Basta, he's a great artist. He's not just someone who sings catchy songs. I realized na mabait pala talaga siya ;;;A;;; huhu much love.

💙 BTOB 💙 Last, but definitely not the least! My 7 dorks, BTOB 💕💯 They are soooooo amazing!!! Still can't believe I had the chance to watch them live ㅠㅠㅠㅠ They really deserve to be loved by fans. Sobra sobra sobrang galing nila 😭 Not only their outstanding vocals, but also how they managed to make the fans sing with them. Let's admit, BTOB is underrated. But that night, everyone loved them. Everyone was screaming (especially for Sungjae haha) and everyone was having fun 🔥 I really enjoyed their stage. As in all of their songs! I hoped for Thriller and Insane, but at least I got Beep Beep and Wow 💞 I can't explain how much I enjoyed jamming to BTOB. Sobrang lit! I literally thought to myself "grabe ang saya" while I was screaming for them 😂😂 And their performance of I'll Be Your Man? Oh man, don't get me started. 😂 DEM VOCALS DEM RAP DEM EMOTIONS AHHHHHHHH MY EARS ARE BLESSED MY SOUL IS BLESSED EARTH IS SAVED. 😭😭💖 Surprisingly though, my bias didn't change 😂 Ilhoon has been my bias for 3 years and no one's replacing him lol. But Changsub!!! He stole Minhyuk's throne ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Sabi ko, ayokong mag VIP kasi hindi naman solo concert ng B.A.P yun. But if I had known that those groups would make me THIS happy, I would have bought the whole concert for myself 💁 cheret hahahahaha.
