halloween in wizard101 is the most nostalgic thing, i adore it. the original quests, the spooky environments with all the jack-o-lanterns and ghosts roaming the over world, a ghostly version of the death school rising up in its original place,,, it’s beautiful

Some things I love about this scene:

Saville immediately roasting him mercilessly

The fact that he did see what the giants were wearing, but didn't immediately connect the dots on why they were important (cause he was busy saving Will, which makes me emotional)

Saville, daughter of a tailor (and therefore a craftswoman in her own right) being the first to properly realize that the giants aren't stupid, because they're craftspeople too!

The last 9ish months with critical role has been such an experience with fiction for me, like sure I had listened through taz balance a few years back, but taz is a lot more edited (not a criticism I loved that damn thing and still think about Merle a lot lmao), and with cr it's just so unpredictable (I've never been much of a theory person, I hate trying to predict how something is going to end I like having solid information to sink my teeth into, not to speculate, like i deeply hated those articles about "who will win succession") and it works so well for me the collaborative side of it the way we think an episode might go and then, nope, maybe it is because of a bad roll, maybe it is because someone decided to do something unhinged (looking at chet and the shop keeper), and it is so fun to me to never really know what to expect it's a new experience for my brain and I couldn't be more excited about it

   Erik had given up insisting Peter go to bed the moment the boy had turned on the pleading eyes. It was late, and the gaps of time between each yawn were getting smaller and smaller, but Peter still wanted to wait. So here they are, slumped on the sofa, an old black and white film on the television with the volume turned down.

   It’s no surprise to the mutant when Peter, leaning against him quite comfortably, slips into sleep. Gaze flicks to the clock, then back to the top of the boy’s head, heart softening a little at the sight of him: the kid he’s somehow become an extra parent to.

   He could probably carry the boy to bed without waking him, but he’d promised an extended bedtime of ten o’clock, and there’s only another fifteen minutes to wait in order to keep his word. So instead he settles himself more comfortably, tugging blanket from Peter’s bed further up the boy’s body to keep him warm while he sleeps
